We Were Held Back by Fear... Until We Did THIS!

A group discusses overcoming fear to take action. They say stop overthinking and act now, that failure is normal and persistence matters, and that successful people still feel afraid. Surround yourself with supportive people and treat time as your ally.
What's the biggest takeaway you want people.
To have from this episode?
I love it. Okay, so everyone's scared. Most people just do a good job hiding it. People fail every day and they keep getting back up. People just don't talk about their failures as much as they do their successes. Especially on social media. No one is an overnight success. Time is your friend or your enemy. And that's why you need to get off your ass and start taking action today, not tomorrow. Who cares that you're scared? We all are. Get up. Make your dreams come true, because no one else is gonna do it for you. If you're gonna take away anything, just know that we were scared. We're still scared. I go, I can do it. Can I? I can do it, can I? Like that's a real thing. Um, so just know that that's. That's what happens. That's what goes on in people's head. It does not matter how successful you are. The most successful people surprise me all the time, saying the same things that we're saying to you right now, like just you get up and do it. Because time really can be your friend or your enemy. And if you don't get started now, you're going to keep on, you know, you're just going to be on the same path that you are now. And 10 years later, you're going to wonder where those 10 years went. And you could have amassed, you know, quite a bit of wealth had you just taken the first step. And so that's why we're here telling our story today, because if we can do it, you can do it too. What's the biggest takeaway you want people to have from this episode?
Never giving up. I think it was John Wayne that said, courage is falling off the horse, but getting back in the saddle, brutally killed. That. Don't be afraid to be the dumbest guy in the room. I've learned a lot because of that. Regardless of the fake it till you make it and the imposter syndrome, I would say probably 9.9 out of 10 times, you actually do know what you're talking about. So don't. Don't listen to the voices in your head. The old saying, whether you say I can or I can't, whichever you say is true.
So, man, good.
I just pulling them all out and you're winging it.
Like I had notes for mine. Way to go, Flip.
So I would say that's my biggest takeaway.
Yeah, I think what you said. I love the fact. The fact that you brought up the whole thinking thing because one of the things that I've learned the most from, like, stop, stop thinking. Like, just be present, be in the now. What is it that you can do right now that's going to get you closer to where you want to be going? Give it, you know, care and attention and quality. And stop letting your mind run the game.
Right?
Like, because most of the time, 99% of the time, your thinking gets you in trouble. Like, your mind is telling you things that aren't true. You have to surround yourself with people that actually understand that and get you to turn off that, you know, thinker and just keep on going and know that you can do it and that things will fall into place depending on where you're going and what you need. And it's just happened for us over and over and over again. We're here for a reason and I think it's crazy. Awesome.
