In this YouTube trading commentary, Dave Barnhart walks viewers through a detailed intraday and multi‑timeframe analysis of the SPY ETF and the QQQ ETF on Monday, February 24th. He begins by explaining how large dark‑pool prints from the previous Thursday were delayed and appeared in Friday’s candle, highlighting the impact of late‑reported volume on market perception. Barnhart then examines the largest trade prints over the past year and the last six months for SPY, using these to frame a technical setup that incorporates the 4‑period and 8‑period EMAs, ATR, and key dollar‑level price zones. He outlines bullish scenarios (targeting 605‑610.28) and bearish scenarios (shorting opportunities down to the 593‑594 range) based on EMA crossovers and price action around significant prints. The analysis moves to a 5‑minute chart where he identifies precise entry, target, and stop levels, emphasizing trading the $1 and $0.50 “pocket” zones. For QQQ, Barnhart repeats the approach: he reviews daily large‑print activity since August, notes a potential downside pocket around 513 if the price breaks below 524.50, and outlines an upside scenario targeting the 536‑540 region if the 4‑ and 8‑EMA levels hold. On the 5‑minute chart he pinpoints bullish entry above 530.06, incremental targets at 531‑537, and bearish targets down to 522.60, again focusing on dollar‑level pockets and EMA‑driven momentum. Throughout, he stresses the importance of watching EMA interactions, ATR‑based volatility, and the size of prints to gauge market strength. The video concludes with a call to like, subscribe, and comment, encouraging viewers to apply the presented trade ideas.

Good morning, traders. It's Monday, February 24th at 5:44 AM. Hopefully everybody had a great weekend. So regarding the big move on Friday, we saw all these prints being dumped here that this, this volume belongs in Thursday's candle. But 610.28, you know, we closed around 600 on Friday. So there was 6.6 million over 45 trades. They decided that they were going to show us 24 hours late. This volume showed in Friday's candle. So this was Thursday's trades late. That's how the dark pool is working out for you. They show their hand after. Let's go ahead and look at our trade setup. So we had a bit of a retracement, although it was only, you know, like $9 on the SPY. It was kind of a melty day. So let's see where we're at in conjunction with everything on there. So right here, this is the, the top 10 largest trades in the last year. So let me just look and we'll go back to 6 months. Here, and so this changes things. These are the largest trades right here. So we can see here that at 60437, there's a 13 million. 608 is 6 million, 5.9 million. So you can see when we started breaking below that here, this is a technical setup that's actually quite good. So anyway, longer term, what I'm half expecting—we don't know for sure—but we've got the four and the eight in a big print here. Around 604.37, 605. We see the, the 4 EMA is 605 pretty much, and 606. I'm expecting we might upthrust to the 606, 607 level and, uh, maybe even test this print. But then when we start heading down again, there's probably a shorting opportunity, and if we break the previous day's close, we'll have a trade down to 594. Probably 593.50, 594. So that might be something to watch out for. But let's go ahead and look at the 5-minute. So here, a similar sort of thing. So the prints are already overlaid. So the SPY, we're bullish above 604.50. We want to get above that, and then with the target of 605, 605.90, 606.25. 607, 608, 609, 610. Well, actually 610.28 is a 5.9 million print. So we gotta be careful. These ones here, uh, 608.04. So we called out 608. We're good out. We gotta watch this as well, 607 to 608 and see, cuz this print, it looks like it might just be in thin air. It's a dollar level. And, uh, so we'll look after that. And so we've got up to 612 potentially, but if we're running, then maybe. You know, leave a couple shares on the table to see how we make out for the day. We're bearish below 602.75. We got to get, um, got to get below here, and then we can, we can pull back to 602.50, 602, 601.93, 601, down to 600, right? So the 601.93, that's the 602. There's 601, right? So 693, $5.99, $5.98, $5.97, $5.96, $5.95. It looks all of these cams just seem to be pretty much at the dollar level, so we would trade those dollar to dollar. And I've got it mapped out to $5.9250 down here to test this print. So these are kind of wider ranges. The ATR is $6, so we can move. We've had a big move, so let's see what happens. Could consolidate for a little bit or move lower or higher. That's how it works. The next stock that we have is the QQQs, and this is a similar sort of thing. The larger time frame— this is the daily— so we can see these are the prints since August, the biggest ones. And if we break below this one here, we break below like 524.50, 524 actually, Then we have a nice pocket here down to $513. Now this has moved $7.50 a day, right? And if we get above this 4 and the 8, then we have a trade up to say, you know, $536, the top here, and then a little bit higher. If we close above all of these, then of course that's bullish. So we've had this big retracement as well. We had increasing volume, this retracement. So let's see if this actually continues. Looks like this might just be testing a trend if we had this here, so we could definitely do that. Okay, let's look at the 5-minute here. The Q's were bullish above 530.06, which is up here, which is the pivot. We've got all of this. Normally we need to break above that. We've got a cam, a print, uh, and the pivot, and then another print. So 530.06 can get us our 50 cents up to the print. That's a little tight there, but if we get above that $5.3050, $5.31 and a quarter. So we're gonna trade this up to this level, $5.3306, minding the dollar levels and the 50-cent levels as well. $5.32, $5.33, $5.3442. There's an R1, $5.36, and all the way up to $5.3878. And we're bearish below this, $5.2775. Target 527.24, 527, 526.55, a 3.3 million print, 526, 525, right down this way. And then 524, 523.75, just trading these pockets in between the dollar levels, 522.60. I've got this all the way down here, 522.60, but that's the same thing if it's melting. And you have this sort of example. This is a great example that we look for. We're riding the four and the eight here. You see that? We're riding the four, and it'll test the eight occasionally. But we come down, and then it starts to go sideways. So we're out. So if we were trading this, and we closed above the four or the eight, then we would we would be out of the trade. In that case. So see how this one came up, test, touched the print, boom, back down. So these ones are still good. We have this consolidation around this, this level here with the print, and then boom, back down. So, uh, this was a great trading opportunity as well for Friday. All right, just sharing that with you. Uh, please like and subscribe, leave some comments in the section below. I hope everyone's making some money on these trades. So happy trading, and we'll see you after lunch.
