Ready to Trade FOMC? $SPY & $MU setups for today - Bullish and Bearish Entries with targets

In this pre‑market video (March 18, 2026), the host walks traders through the day’s macro schedule (PPI release, Fed rate decision, FOMC press conference) and then focuses on two tradeable instruments – the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) and Micron Technology (MU). He explains the concept of “late prints” – institutional volume reported 24 hours after the trade – and shows how large dark‑pool trades on SPY and IWM have clustered at specific price levels. Using those prints, ATR figures, and moving‑average positions, he maps out concrete bullish and bearish entry zones, support/resistance tiers, and profit targets for SPY (e.g., bullish above 675.60, bearish below 673.00) and for MU (bullish above 477, bearish below 473.50). The analysis includes specific price‑level annotations, pivot points, and risk‑reward calculations. The video ends with a call‑to‑action to subscribe, a reminder to mark the 2 PM FOMC time on charts, and promotion of a weekly dark‑pool report and a partnership with TrendSpider for real‑time institutional trade overlays.

Good morning, traders. It's Wednesday, March 18th at 4:19 AM. All right, massive day today with news, FOMC economic projections at 2 o'clock. We've got a PPI pre-market at 8:30. We've got the interest rate decision at 2, and then at 2:30 we've got the FOMC press conference and also the Fed press conference. I guess we see that down here at the bottom. All right, so let's talk about a couple things. The late prints—you've heard me talk about this a lot. These are the ones that are reported 24 hours late, and this is where we see the massive institutional positions because they're not reported the same day. And we can see here that yesterday, March 17th, $6.8 million here—that was 7.8% of all of the volume traded on the SPY yesterday, a total of $4.6 billion. The day before, 7.1. Million. That's another $4.7 billion here at $662 and $669. And so we're a little bit above that at the moment. But then look at this on the IWM. Here's 6.7 million on March 16th and then 1.6 yesterday. And you can see that the 1.6, those ones are pretty much regular. 1.4, 800,000. The IWM doesn't get a lot. But when you see this Here, like a massive one, $1.7 billion. That was 13.8% of all the volume on the IWM for that day. So this actually— this belonged— volume belonged in the previous day. So massive institutional positioning. Hopefully there's a decent move here with the rate decisions so we can capitalize on that. So let's go ahead and have a look at the stocks we have for today. We've got the SPY and we've got MU. So SPY, let's look back 30 days. We can see here that we've had this, we've had this. It looks like now it looks like a bit of a distribution, but look at these millions: 2.83, 5.7, 3. This is billions and billions of dollars, and we dropped below that. But the interesting thing here is at the bottom, 7.1 million. Right? So see how this doesn't— this line doesn't match with the candle. That's because it was reported in this candle. You can see down here for the lineup for the day. This 3.3 million was also reported the opposite day. It should have been here. So this looks like a bottom, and then we're holding above the print yesterday, 6.8 million, and we're moving up. So depending on what the Fed does, if we close below 660 here, then potentially down 650, something like that. But on the upside, these are the largest ones: 674. We can look at 680. We've got a whole bunch of prints up to 682.50, 685, and then 689. So this— the ATR on the SPY is almost $10. So we— that's what it's been doing recently. And then with the FOMC, it might move That or more in one direction. So let's map this out. We're going to be bullish above 675.60. Let's get above this right here. We want this to be a support, and we've got 676.38, 677.50, 680, and then right at 680.23 we have this 3.1 million, and then 681.12 682.50, then we've got 684, 685.50, 685.86 as R4. I've mapped that out, and so we've got these massive prints here. So if we break above the 681.12 and hold, just be careful of these prints here too, because this— if they're selling, this can be overhead resistance. If they're buying Then we'll blow through those. I'm pretty sure of that. Let's go and look at the downside. We're going to be bearish below 673. Let's this is a double pivot and cam here, and this is the this is the four o'clock opening five minute candle. So we need this to be resistance. So a break retest coming back down. Then we've got 672.09, 671.66. Here is a double one within 2 cents of each other. There's the pivot and the cam here, so this is a little bit tight on this. So make sure you're taking something here because you can have a violent bounce to the upside on that. And then we've got 671.64, I mentioned 671.22, 670.36, 669.92. You can see that. And then around that level is the post-market right through till 8 o'clock. And then we've got 66902, 66885, 66818, 660690. If we break below all of this, we've got 66604 right here. This cam, 665, 66230 is the 7 $1,660,657.42 is S4. So I mapped that out really wide. I mentioned that the ATR is $10, but if it's going, you know, like this, we have the 4 and the 8 running together. If that keeps going, it's same on the downside. You can see an example of that here, that we're staying below the 4 exponential moving average on that currently. Now we're moving up. This looks bullish. We'll see what actually happens today, but for the example, this is the example of a downward trend there with this four exponential moving average because that's a shorter term high volatility momentum here. And even though we're up thrusting, maybe testing a higher moving average, but we're always closing below or at that four exponential moving average. So we'll see what's going on there. Okay, next up is. Micron. Switch to market hours. Okay, so Micron here, look at this. There was a great swing trade entry here, but going back, going back 30 days, here's February 18th. Now this one clearly doesn't get as many trades as the SPY, but still 3, 4, 600,000 at $400. That's a lot of institutional interest. So we can see these prints here, this consolidation And the addition of prints, and we pulled back here to these levels. This is my 50 simple moving average, but here we had waxing volume where this volume is moving up. This was a bullish engulfing here crossing 2 prints, and there was a print on this on the day before we crossed through that. That's an engulfing. So this, you could actually get in on this candle if you wanted to on that, even though it's, it's below the 4 and 8 moving average. The idea is that it's come back and moved through the prints, and usually they move in the opposite direction first. So this actually moved up to the prints, pulled back, increasing volume again. This is a safer entry. You could get in here, but that one there is a decent one even though it's a double top. What we've done is we've We've pulled back into prints, pulled back, and moving up again. So that means all of these below are support, and then we've gapped, and then there was another print, and it looks like we're off to the races. We'll see what happens with that, but that looks, that looks pretty bullish with a couple swing entries on that. Okay, so we're going to be bullish above 477, and so let's get above this. The high of this was 476.70, so 477. We want that to be support target $479.93. Then we've got $485, $490, $491.70 is R3. Then we've got $495, $500, $505, $509.29 is R4. And so the ATR on this one's about $24, $24, $25. So mapping this out to $500 anyway, Is normal on that. And if it's still going, then by all means. But $500 will be a massive, massive level for, for that. It's, it's everything— the $250, the $500, the $1,000, the $2,500, you know, the $100 levels. So there'll be a lot of profit taking if we get up to $500. I would think we're going to be bearish below $473.50. So if we get, yeah, 470, 350, get below here, that's an initial one. If you're watching this video and it's already come down, then you want the next cam here to be resistance for it to turn over. But anyway, 471.36. Then we've got 470, 467.90 is R1, 466.53, 464.91, 463.30. You can see how this is a little bit tight. And then this is the post-market here where we just kind of Fizzled around up till eight o'clock. We've got four sixty one sixty nine is this four hundred K print. Then we've got four sixty oh eight, four fifty eight forty seven, and then we've got four fifty six, four fifty six eighty five, and four fifty six fifty two. This is sitting right on my two hundred exponential, two hundred simple, and a double pivot and cam. So That's this would be quite a bit of support here unless the market is completely.
