In this Friday, January 2nd market recap, the speaker reviews the intraday trade setups for the QQQ ETF and Nvidia (NVDA) stock. For QQQ, the bullish trigger was set above 622.06 and bearish below 620. The price briefly hit 622.50 and a 2‑million‑share print at 622.92, but failed to hold R2 on the first test, eventually falling to the S2 level at $610.20, a 10‑point move. The analysis references pivot points, CAMs, and the 4‑ and 8‑period exponential moving averages (EMAs) that stayed together, indicating strong momentum and high volume at lows. The speaker outlines possible future scenarios: a close above 625 could push the price to 630‑635, while a close below 610 could lead to 600‑595. For Nvidia, the bullish trigger was above 191 and bearish below 189.75. The price hit the target 191.92 (R2) but did not reach the next target of 194. The trade later retreated to the 200‑period EMA, with the price oscillating between the EMA and the open, forming a “Darvis box” range. The speaker notes that a close above 192.50 could move the price to 196, while a close below 186 might fill a gap down to 181 on shorter time frames. The recap ends with a reminder that the QQQ made a sizable 10‑point move and encourages traders to capture entries near the low S2 level, promising new setups on Monday.

Good afternoon, traders. It's Friday, January 2nd at 2:27 PM. All right, let's review our trade setups we had for today. We had the QQQs and we had Nvidia. So we're looking at the Q's bullish above 622.06, bearish below 620. The 622.06 occurred pretty much after the market opened right here, 9:45. We upthrusted 622.02, but then we upthrusted the 622.85 Hitting our target $622.50, and then our next target was $622.92, which was a 2 million share print. But this didn't hold the R2 on the first test. We started downwards, so bearish below $620. And I had mapped this out to the pivot here at $616, and we came all the way down, tagged this, couple cams. You can see how strong these levels are here, and they're already calculated, so you don't have to do anything. We came up, tested the R1 again, and then continued down all the way through to this S2, $610. 20. So this was actually a 10-point move if you stayed in there and kept a little bit of a position going on that. But anyway, this turned out to be excellent, and the 4 and the 8 were running together. You see my red line, which is the 4 exponential moving average, and then the 8 one. So here we never closed above this, there was no real reason to get out. But down here, definitely this S1. And when we blow through all of these pivots and CAMs, it's really Really high momentum, and look at the volume here that we have at this down at the bottom. So we'll see how this ends up today. We holding this S2, and we're kind of in this boxed range at the moment. And if we look at the daily here, this is kind of a wedge. This is difficult to trade, right? Well, so we either have to close above you know 625 here, maybe to get up to 630, 635. But if we close below 610, then I can see 600, 595, minding the prints that are in the way. Let's go ahead and look at Nvidia. So Nvidia, we were bullish above 191, bearish below 189.75. The 191 occurred here in the morning, and this was at 9:30. 191 triggered, hit our target 191.92. And which was R2. Our next one would have been 194, but that didn't actually happen. So anyway, taking some profit here at our, at our target at 191.92. This didn't hold. We had, we, we had the break and we had the retest and then pulling back, testing the open, lower high, increasing volume, and came down to my 200 exponential moving average. So for the better part of the day, we've been holding between the 200 Moving average and the open. So when you look at it, there's not much going on here, right? You— there's a little box here, a Darvis box it's called, that you can, you can draw a range around that. So we got to close above 192.50 at least to get to 196, or close below 186 to maybe fill this gap down here, 181 on the shorter time frame. All right, there you have it. Those are the results of your trade setups. Hopefully you caught that the Q's was a massive move today, 10 points. If you were able to catch entry all the way down to the low there at the, at the S2. So anyway, happy trading everyone. We will see you on Monday with all new trade setups. Happy trading.
