In this March 2, 2026 video, trader Dave Barnhart reviews the day’s trade setups for the SPY and QQQ ETFs, detailing the bullish and bearish thresholds he set, the intraday price action, and how each instrument performed relative to his targets. He highlights key institutional dark‑pool prints (e.g., a 4 million share print at 687.54 for SPY and a 1.4 million share print at 607.51 for QQQ) and explains how these prints inform support and resistance levels. Barnhart also demonstrates a new real‑time institutional‑trade overlay on his charting platform, showing how orange‑colored trades appear live and can be used for alerts. The video concludes with a weekly swing‑trade recap, noting that Nvidia, RTX, and Chevron/XLE all hit or exceeded his bullish targets, and he promotes his weekly newsletter and a partnership with TrendSpider that provides the real‑time institutional‑trade feature.

Hello traders, it's Monday, March 2nd at 3:27 PM. Let's review our trade setups for today. Market pulled back, uh, this morning and it's retraced up. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but for our trade setups, worked out pretty well. We had the SPY and we had the QQQs. So SPY, we were bullish above 680, bearish below 670, 650. The 670, 650 never occurred. The 680 occurred a couple times pre-market. We were, we were sitting here at the 680 level, came up, tagged our first target to the penny pretty much, which was 680.74, pulled back, tried again, hit it just a penny above. And then into the open, third time's a charm here with the 680. Just flying up, inverted hammer here, continued, and it hit went past all of our targets. We were up to the pivot. 685.03 was our target here, this blue line. And this tagged it, pulled back to my 200 simple, 200 exponential, this double pivot that we were talking about earlier. Moved up, back, and then moved higher. We actually came up here to 688.02. Um, but we had this 4 million print December 11th, 687.54. One thing I wanted to mention down here, this low 679.11. Let me just switch this to late prints. 679.10, 679.11, December 16th and 17th, 20 million in shares. That's multiple billions of dollars. And when we gapped down, this was support. And then so we just wound up, uh, moving up from that. That doesn't mean we won't retest it later, but if we look on the daily And see, 679 is the line in the sand as far as, as far as prints are concerned. I'll go back to the market hours there. Let's go ahead and look at our friends over at the QQQs. Okay, so the Q's here, we were bullish above 600, bearish below 597. The 597 did not occur, but the 600, the 600 occurred. It was a similar sort of thing as the SPY, so we tested it. And this one came up to 603.55, tagged it to the penny, pulled back, tagged it again, pulled back, and then at the open we shot up and got tangled in my 200 simple, 200 exponential. This broke above to the pivot and then held this as support, which is interesting. We had mapped this out to 605.93, which was the actual pivot. This number, this blue line right here. But then, you know, a little bit of getting into lunchtime, and then it continued up. So where we got snagged today, 608.72, 609.32. You can see this from February 23rd, and then February 27th, and December 19th. Been snagged in here. Now, one thing that I want to show you, new feature that went live today. So you're trading these and you want to see trades as they come in live on your chart. We can see that when you're looking at this now, anything that's orange is something that's come in real time. And so when you're watching this and you see candles forming and then all of a sudden 550,000, it's like, okay, that's a good level, especially when it starts moving. You can have a splash, or for something like this, It goes sideways for a while, and then all of a sudden you get a large trade. Because if they're going to the open market to buy the shares, although the shares trade in the dark pools, they need people to actually— they need to accumulate or distribute the shares. So it might take them a while to get in. There was 1.4 million today, 607.51, which is up here. So you can see we went sideways for quite some time to fill that order. So just FYI, it's really helpful just to see the institutional trade rather than trying to watch around and see what's happening. You can always set alerts for these sorts of things as well. All right, um, that's the results of our video. Please subscribe to our weekly newsletter. It's in the link below, the weekly report where we talk about swing trades. And actually, I'll give you a quick Update on that on the watch list. Here's our weekly report. Nvidia is up on our target. We were bullish above 180. We're at 182. We were bullish on RTX above 211. We're at 210 now. This one shot up to 220 this morning at the open. Chevron just hit our bullish above. XLE, uh, we were bullish above, uh, 5625. That shot up and pulled back a little bit today as well. So anyway, this is what you get, is your targets, bullish above, bearish below, and then you get the weekly summary to see how we did. Learned some things about the dark pools. All right, there you have it. Have a great rest of your day everyone, and we'll see you tomorrow with all new trades.
