Trade NVDA & IONQ after Earnings Today!

In this February 26, 2026 video, trader Dave Barnhart walks viewers through detailed technical trade setups for Nvidia (NVDA) and IonQ (IONQ) ahead of their earnings releases. He analyzes recent volume prints, pivots, and moving averages to define bullish and bearish entry zones, price targets, and risk levels for each stock. For Nvidia, he highlights a bullish range above $199.50 with targets up to $210 and a bearish range below $194.50, using a $2.50 price increment framework and a $6 ATR to gauge potential moves. For IonQ, he maps bullish targets from $39 to $45 and bearish targets from $37 down to $35, emphasizing volume spikes, 4‑ and 8‑period EMAs, and key support/resistance levels. Throughout, Barnhart explains how institutional volume prints and dark‑pool activity inform his levels, offers a brief educational plug for his weekly dark‑pool report, and mentions a partnership with MobyTick/TrendSpider for real‑time institutional trade data. The tone is conversational yet analytical, with a cautiously optimistic outlook on both setups.

Good morning, traders. It's Thursday, February 26th at 4:24 a.m. All right, two stocks for you today. Both had earnings: Nvidia and IonQ. So Nvidia, a little bit of a move to the upside. I think that retail and everything was expecting a massive move either up or down. Saw a lot of commentary about that. It hasn't moved a lot comparatively. It's up two bucks. So let's go ahead and have a peek. So. Last 30 days as usual. Looking back here, February 4th, we got 10— what is this— 10.8 million shares. We got it this day or over 2 trades, this, this day here, February 4th, and then February 5th. And this is what we always watch even on the higher time frames: open, come back, pretty much test the print, close, move higher. So this is great if you're watching this sort of thing. If you were on this on the day trade, then you come in, it crosses the print, comes down, and you call it wait for the wick, right? I have a friend that used to sing that wait for the wick do do do when they were teaching. And so it comes down, crosses the print, and then starts moving up. So you can catch a lot of this in the day. But anyway, we came back closed on this print back here. Actually, I missed this one February second. 185, and then so pulled back, grabbed some more, moved up, back tested the print again, moving up, testing prints, closing above. This is a good swing day as well, increasing, increasing volume, 4 and the 8 moving apart, and then closing above these prints. We got a new one, and then we're moving into earnings here. Now yesterday before earnings, 1.9 million, 196.91 and 197.39, so we're above that high at the moment. This will kind of be the floor. If we break below this, come back to the 4 exponential moving average, the 8 potentially back to test these prints. Who knows? That's why we have to be ready on both sides of the trade. So we are going to be bullish above 199.50. That's the safest. We've got 199.43, 199.50. It's a double pivot here. There's 2 of them. So that's quite strong. Target 200, 202, 203.34. You can see this R3, 204.25. I've got 206, 207, 18 as our 4. Then we've got 208, 210, 211, 02. Okay, so you might notice that I'm using $1.25. That's half of a $2.50, right? So those all, those all evenly divisible. So I'm breaking that $2.50 up into smaller bits. This ATR here is about $6, so you can expect a bit more of a move, especially on earnings. We're going to be bearish below 194.50. So you can see here there's— if we didn't have these pivots and cams that are here, then you've got lots, you know, there's lots of room to the downside technically, things like that. These are institutional support and resistance levels. You see that in pretty much all of my trading, and this is technical, these pivots. I could do a class on that if anybody's interested. Leave some comments in the comment below. Maybe I'll do a video. But anyway, there are some things here that make this really difficult. It's not a safer trade on this on the downside for the scalping. So that's why we're going to go to 194.50 down here. You see all of this mess: 200 simple, 200 exponential, lots of support here. So 194.50. Is my entry on the downside. Target $194, $193.69, $193.45. Double pivot down here and you're testing this, uh, from yesterday afternoon. Well, post-market, you can see how this hammered on that. And so we've got $190, yeah, $192.50, $191.82, and $191.69. So there's a nice pocket Down to here. Then I've got 191, and 190 is a 1.9 million. So even though you've got a big pocket here from 191 to 187.98, mind these prints here because these are still institutional support. See, if you get that down here, that's the 15 exponential moving average. And if you're looking left, this is all a support area as well. So Just be careful with that. 1.9 million, 2.5, 1.6— lots of institutional positioning there. Okay, let's go and check out our friends at IONQ. Okay, so IONQ. Ah, this one I've moved my entry point twice. Might have to do it again. Okay, let's look on the left-hand side— on the right-hand side. This is back January 28th, 1.2 million, and then here on the 29th, 3 point— uh, 392,000. So this is about 1.6 million here in 2 days. So we had this big volume here, came back up, tested my 200 simple, 200 exponential. We talk about this one all the time. And then started rolling over. There was a new print here, this 392K, which pushed this one down the stairs. There are other prints in here. These are the largest, the top 10 in the month. This came down, tagged my 400, tried to hold that a couple days, and then we pulled back here. So we had— we knew that earnings was coming up. So the couple weeks before earnings, you gotta watch for prints. Look at all of these little ones here between 3078 and 35. There's this lot 3078, 3131. So in this dollar here, there's over a million. So we've got a print here, we've pulled back, prints there at on the day. So usually we don't swing trade on the day of prints in this case because you have the increasing volume to go short on this, right? You have increasing volume, but there's a new print. Pretty much at the end of the day, and what happens? It comes back up, tags another print, comes back more prints just before earnings closing. This one's closing into the close with higher volume. This was the lead up to the earnings, and now we're above all of these prints here. So if we add all of these up, I'm not going to, but it looks like it's a few million. Then where can we go? I've got some moving averages in the way: 39, 52, 43, right? 392K, 1.2 million up here. So those can be targets on the higher time frame. So we do have an opportunity for retracement if there was a bit of a sell-off, and we can move up. So I was— if we look on the left-hand side, R3 Here, it's already moved a lot. We're up five bucks, so I've got to adjust this. I was originally bullish above thirty-eight when I was mapping it out, and then I'm like, oh, all right. I had thirty-eight, thirty-eight forty, and then thirty-eight fifty, but we're already over that. So let's set this to thirty-nine. And so when the market opens, if we come up like thirty-nine pullback breakthrough, that's fine. Hopefully this video gets out if this is continue to move, but you've got to pick the next level up where the You would see previous support. So 39 target 40, 40.96 is R4, 41, 42, 43.52 is R5, and if this continues, 44, 44.50, 45, 45.80, right? And look, this is exactly what we want to see. This is excellent because this moves, this gaps up, and the four is riding the four exponential moving average. My red one. And so these together, the 4 and the 8, these are running. So as long as it's staying about— as long as it's riding these, it doesn't, you know, poop out and they cross, then you're good. And if you get in at a good spot, then you can say, okay, when this closes below the 4, for example, then I'll get out. Your trading options, be careful because you have to get out into strength. They can lose their value pretty quickly. All right, on the downside, we're going to be bearish below 37. I put that down here. Now you can try and catch it if it comes back in this R3 as resistance moving over. For the purposes of this at the moment, 37 target, 36.29, 30, 35.84, 35.04 is this 400K print. Then we've got 3471, 3429, 3411, 3406. Um, so I've got 3582, 3359, this 566K print, and then 3328 is the pivot. So the best part is pretty much around here, from this point down to the 35 level. And you can see here that this came back, pulled back, and that was support, this print area from February 6th. So just be careful. We're getting into my 200 exponential, 200 simple, more prints and stuff down here. If it does retrace, fair value gap right about here to get filled, right, and back to this area potentially. This just shot up, this candle, so a lot of unfilled orders. Potentially there. That's why I mapped it out back to the pivot. All right, there you have it. Those are your two trade setups for today. And for those of you that are want to learn more about the dark pools and into swing trading, click the link in the description below for my weekly report. And yeah, so every Sunday you get a review of the trades that we called out for the previous week. See how we did. We got all new trade setups every week and a little bit of dark pool education. So yeah, we're testing the 39. So IONQ is moving and it's only 4:30 in the morning. So remember what I said here. You probably just have to remap it out, but I gave you the levels anyway. And yeah, happy trading. We'll see you this afternoon with our results video. MobyTick has partnered with TrendSpider to bring real-time institutional trades to your charts.
