Unlock Custom Layouts in MobyTick: Build Your Perfect Trading Dashboard

Dave Barnhart shows how to build custom trading dashboards in MobyTick. You can create up to five layouts from components like charts, watchlists, heatmaps, and volume modules, then drag and resize them into grids up to four columns by six rows. He walks through a pre-market setup with synchronized charts and aggregate prints filtered by ATR.

Hey traders, in this video we're going to look at custom layout. So here's the regular dashboard for Moby, which you're familiar with. If you're not familiar with the other components, it'd be good if you go back to the how-to section in the help section at mobyticktrading.com/help and see the videos in order. We have dashboard, block trade indicator, watch lists, ETFs, print lookup, opportunities, late prints, seasonality, and custom layouts. So what we can actually do with a custom layout is we can take any of the components that make up Moby and build our own UI, which is very exciting. So I'm going to click on custom layouts here and I'm going to choose add new layout. So you can have a maximum of 5 different ones. So I have one for regular market, 2 charts, 6 charts, and pre-market here that I've designed for my pre-market YouTube videos. So let's go ahead and click add new one. So here there are 4 different types that are default ones if you wanted to look at them. There's a day trader, a swing trader, a flow watcher, and a market scanner. So the day trader, it gives you a chart with a block trade indicator, time and sales, top trades, and prints. Swing trader, large chart with watchlist, news, and calendar. So let's go ahead and pick one of these. I'm going to choose swing trader. And so this is the layout with the actual components. So this side here would be the live chart. Then, for example, a watch list. And if we scroll down, there'll be news and an economic calendar. Now, you can always customize this further by adding additional rows, but we will, we'll look at that separately as we build these components. Now, each of the components you can actually drag for the sizing, and you can have multiple columns. So let's go ahead and see what this looks like At the moment, I'm going to give this one here. I'm going to just call it Title 2 and choose Save. And it says layout created successfully. So if I come back to my custom layout and go to Title 2, you have a chart, you have the watchlist, you have news, economic calendar. If you scroll down, that's what, that's what you have there. Now, the interesting thing is here you can size this as you want like that. And then every— everything works together. And same as down here, news, economic calendar, whatever. You can also move this up and down like that. Move it down. You can play with that however you like. Now we can go ahead and edit this up here at the top. You've got these 3 ellipses. We're going to choose edit, and if I wanted to say add another column here, I can just choose column. You can have a maximum of 4 columns, and so what I'm going to do here— watch— we'll delete this one, and I'm going to drag a heatmap into here. So now we have a live chart and the heatmap. If I scroll down here, you can add another row. And you can have a maximum of 6 rows with 4 cards in each that are all flexible. So go ahead and give that a whirl. I'm going to choose the save layout now, and now we have the chart with all of this together. All right, let's do this. I'm going to show you my pre-market. So this one here, I have 2 charts, and so I put in the ticker here at the top and it gives me my 5-minute, and my daily, which I can change right here. What I've made down here at the bottom is I've included the module that's pre-market volume and aggregate prints, and the point here with the aggregate prints is that this says March 12th, 2025 to 2026. Well, if I click on this and put this to the month, then what happens is you wind up seeing all of the trades overlaid for the last month Right on the chart. So that's how I use this in following pre-market because I can click on change percent. We can see NTSK is down 20% almost. ACXP, some of these, see what's moving up. See what has the highest volume today. ONDS is up with 5 million shares traded this morning. We can filter by ATR, and that's for those of you that watch my YouTube videos. That's exactly what I do when I find the pre-market trades really, really quickly in the morning. So hopefully you find that useful. We'll see you in the next video. Take care.
