Unlock Hidden Profits: SPY & QQQ Pre-Market Secrets!

In this pre‑market video, the host walks traders through the day’s economic calendar—unemployment rate, non‑farm payrolls, global manufacturing PMI, Michigan consumer sentiment, and ISM manufacturing PMI—and explains how these releases could move the equity markets. He then maps out recent large‑volume dark‑pool prints for the SPY and QQQ ETFs, highlighting where institutions have built sizable positions. Using these prints together with key moving averages (8‑EMA, 50‑SMA, 200‑SMA/EMA), pivot points, and support/resistance zones, he defines precise bullish and bearish thresholds for each ETF, outlines scalp targets, and delineates downside “pocket” zones if the news turns negative. The presentation ends with a neutral‑bias trading plan—long setups above $631.25 for SPY and $564.02 for QQQ, short setups below $625 and $557 respectively—along with stop‑loss logic and a call to like and subscribe.

Good morning, traders. It's Friday, August 1st at 5:30 AM. All right, massive news today. We have at 8:30 unemployment rate, non-farm payrolls is the big one, and then at 9:45 we've got global manufacturing PMI. 10 o'clock is Michigan consumer sentiment and also ISM manufacturing PMI numbers. So it's a big day today. So let's look. The market's been turning down a little bit, and especially pre-market. So here the, um, uh, we are below about 20 million worth of prints at the moment, right? So we're below all of these. We're below here, 633,84. So that's 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 17 million, 18, almost 19 million here. That we're below at the moment. So we're going to map out the SPY and the QQQ today because the, the news, if it moves the indices, it'll move the underlying stocks as well. So let's have a look. So the SPY here, we can see this massive volume yesterday, and what I've overlaid here, these are the late prints. These are the massive dark pool ones that, that get reported throughout the day where the volume belongs in the previous day's candle. And so These are the larger positions here. So 624.29 is a massive one here, and then down here at 606. But there are some other ones in the way. But I wanted to show you this where the grand scheme of things is where the, the big institutions are, have their largest positions here at the moment. So on the left side, let's look at intraday. So we've got lots of resistance above us on this. And so let's look at this. We are going to be bullish above $631.25, so we've got to get above here. I mean, we're trading at $626 at the moment. This is $5 to get up to the top. Now what we have here market structure-wise is we have this trend down. I mean, you can scalp it if you like, but for, for a reversal move, we need to get above the $631.25. You can try and scalp this in between, and you have to mind the moving averages on the On the daily or the higher time frames as well. We've got the 50 SMA here, which is a bit of a problem. We can potentially scalp within here all the way up, but this is risky because the trend is actually down. So what the plan is here, 631.25, is to break this, this downward trend. It's a safer move. If you want to scalp in between, like I said, go right ahead. Target 631.68 is the 8 exponential Moving average. Oh, it's moving a little bit. 631.68 is the retracement to the 8 up here, so that's actually quite strong. 632, 632.91 is a cam. Then we've got 633.75 is a cam. 633.84 is a 4.7 million print. 634.24 is the retracement to the pivot here. Now what we have is the 200 simple, 200 exponential moving averages here. These are going to move up with the price. This is going to be a resistance area here. If we do break above this, then we have another pocket up here to $637. So depending on what the news is, and so let's try not to have a bias even though the market does look bearish. This news can do whatever it wants to the market. So we're going to, on the downside, we're going to be bearish below $625. We'll let this support here. If this breaks, then if this breaks, then we can see a retest potentially in a move down. And plus it is early, so $625 to break below target. $624.29 is a 4.5 million share trade. $622.98 is a, is a cam here. And here's where it gets interesting. If we break this We've got 620, 617.50, 616.06 is S3. So if the news is bad, you've got a really nice pocket down here. All right, next up is the QQQ. So we've done the same thing with the Q's. We've put the largest trades here, and the— we've got some recent ones here, 5.2 million, 3.2 million. You can see this here. This is what we call the ice if you're a Wyckoff sort of person. We've got this ice here and we're breaking that at the moment. And then so 557.42 is a big one, 551. These are the large trades you can see on the upside where they've been adding to their position throughout this, where these trades are actually coming in. Now we're breaking below. Let's see if we hold this one, and if not, we can move down here to 551. Now on the intraday, we can see that the prints are overlaid here, but we're going to be bullish above 564.02, and I did the same thing. You can probably try and scalp here, say 560, 561, something like that. This is all resistance, but what I want to do is I want to have this, this structure change. So if we drew a trend line here, I want this to be a safe trade for everyone. So 564.02, target 565, 566, 566.98. Which is the, um, which is a CAM, and then this is the 200 exponential. As the price moves up, this will probably move up a little bit as well. So 567.84 is the pivot, and 568.78 is the 200 simple moving average on the 5-minute. 570, and then 570.93, and then 571.80 would get us up to R1 up here, and then if it continues, like if things are great, yeah, then keep trading it, right? We don't know what's going to happen with the NFP and things today, so we're going to be bearish below 557. Let's get down here because when we break down here, this if we close back above it, then that's our stop, right? And so if we break below 557, 556. 554.23, then 551.79 is a 5— is a 3.2 million share trade. 550, 546.32 is S3. So the similar thing, nice pocket from 554 down to 546 with this print in the middle, and then we've got this as support. So we're, we're expecting a larger move today just because of the non-farm payroll. So we're planned, we've got a plan, we're going to execute it, both sides of the trade for either stock, no bias. There you have it, there's your trade setups for today. Please like and subscribe, leave some comments in the comment section below, and we'll see you later to see how we did. Happy trading, everyone.
