This is a YouTube tutorial titled "Using The Economic Calendar And News On The Moby Dashboard" (created November 18, 2024). A single presenter (labeled SPEAKER A) walks viewers through the Moby dashboard: the news feed, how to open source articles, and the economic calendar — selecting countries (e.g., US), applying filters for high-impact events, viewing items like core CPI, and checking local time zone timestamps to plan for potential market volatility.

All right, here on the dashboard, we're just going to look at the news section, which is pretty straightforward here. We just see news that comes across some of the feeds, and you can scroll down and see what the large news stories are. You can click read more, which will open another web page as to where the news source is, and see if there's anything related to the stocks that you're trading. Otherwise, there's some interesting stuff that pops up there. On the dashboard, let's have a quick look at the economic calendar. So what we can do here is we can choose any country that we like in the world. Most of us trade US stocks. So what I can do is I can click on the globe here, and then by default, we can see North America, USA, Canada, something like that. There's entire worlds. You can search for a specific country, top 20 economies like the G20, things like that. I'm going to choose the US and then I'm going to choose apply. Now this'll give us absolutely everything. Right? So tomorrow being November 12th, we'll see these NFIB Business Optimism, Red Book, soybeans, things like that. If you're interested in the things that are the highest impact, we can click this here, only high importance. So if we click on that, we'll see that we have core CPI on the 13th, and we can actually scroll up and see if we missed anything here. No. So not anything high impact on the 12th, but on the 13th, it looks like it's a busy day, uh, for core CPI. And this is going to be in your local time zone. So see, mine says 9:30 AST, so Atlantic Standard Time. I am 1 hour past Eastern Time in the location where I'm at, where I'm recording this video. So you can see these things here and you can scroll out into the future to see where other things are. Oh, so you can plan the potential volatility in the market by checking out the economic calendar. We'll see you in the next video.
