When you finish a task, say exactly what you did. Confident people detail their work and obstacles. Less confident people just say it's done. Specifics prevent others from crediting someone else.

Tip number 127. Say what you actually did. I know that sounds a little vague. What I mean is this. People who are not confident often don't describe what they've done. They may be in a meeting and people say, is this done? And they say, yeah, it's done. Whereas people who are confident may say, yes, it's done. Let me tell you about what exactly I did to get it finished, or obstacles I might have had along the way. Or difficulties or resources I need. Talk a little bit more about what you did. If you don't do that, people assume that someone else might have done it, or they may assume that it wasn't you that did it. So make sure they know what you did. It's not bragging. It's simply giving people an understanding of where you fit in the whole picture.
