13. Marketing Campaigns - Dean Graziosi

Nathan Street (Dean Graziosi Success Academy) provides practical direct-mail marketing advice: run multi-touch campaigns rather than one-off mailings, aiming for about five to seven contacts per prospect spaced roughly 1–2 weeks apart, with many responses occurring around the 4th–5th contact. He recommends using postcards more heavily (claimed ~65% higher chance of being kept than letters), mixing letters and postcards, including a business card with letters, and numbering mailings so recipients expect follow-up.

Hello, my name is Nathan street with the Dean Graziosi Success Academy. I want to take just a minute and talk about one of the important key concepts of working in the marketing field, more specifically letters, postcards and that type of marketing. Keep in mind that as I give this information, Dean Graziosi has marketing that you can use already. You can just simply go out there, use his marketing, obtain buyers and sellers. However, I'm going to give you more information specifically on working with a campaign and you may find this very useful for what you're trying to do in a marketing business. Particularly when we first start, we like to send out marketing to people and hope and pray that we get acceptance. And oftentimes many people that do marketing, they will market one time. They'll find a particular person, maybe somebody that's in foreclosure, that needs to sell their property and they market, hey, I can buy your house, give me a call. Now maybe they put together the letter just as it should. It's got a nice heading, a great body, it's got some bullet points and several call to actions in there, but yet no calls. And you think, well, what's wrong with my marketing? I did a really beautiful letter. I even had a professional put it together. Why did it die? Why did it not go anywhere? There have been vast majorities of very large companies that have done studies on how many times it takes to contact someone and what they have found is that five to seven contacts are necessary for people to contact you back. Five to seven contacts is what they consider a campaign. If you're not doing a campaign as your marketing, you're not going to receive the results that you want in your marketing. If you only market one time to one particular person, it will disappear. Now look at it, maybe forget about it and that's it. We have to stay in attention to them as we go through it. I have generally found and have read that marketing at least a couple of weeks apart each time five to seven contacts finds a great result. So keep that in mind for yourself. A few other items that may help you. Postcards have the highest percentage chance of being kept. I think it's 65% greater chance to be kept over a letter. If you can also add to a postcard, at the very bottom of a postcard, keep this card. There's a greater tendency again to keep the card and add it to something like the refrigerator so that they can follow up on later. However, you don't want to be monotonous by using just postcards. So if you Create a mailing campaign. Make sure that you use postcards and letter, but more of a majority put towards postcards so they will contact you back. If you send out a letter, make sure that you send with that also a business card so that they have something to keep and to reference so that you can follow up on that. You may also, as you start to mark it, identify that that is the first of six or second of six or second of seven or whatever that helps to help the person receiving understand that they will be receiving more marketing, that if they don't follow up with you, you're going to keep calling them. Those types of items will help you to create a fantastic marketing campaign. And by having a campaign where you have that really nice letter that maybe Dean set up or that you set up or how it is doesn't go to waste. Keep in mind again, five to seven contacts per person. So if I'm looking for that one person that has a foreclosure, I need to mark it to them five to seven times before I see any kind of a result. Come back from that. If you follow this simple technique of marketing like this every couple weeks or every week so that your name is in front of it, you will have greater results at about the fourth to fifth contact. These little items can help you make a lot more money for yourself and take better participation when it comes to your marketing.
