Three counterintuitive things that most people don't teach you when it comes to being successful in business. Number one, start doing the things you hate. It's not all about puppies and rainbows and doing the things you love. There's certain parts of the business you want to create, the business you have that you love to do, and your body tends to lean towards them and you're avoiding the things you hate. You have to learn how to do those. In fact, they might be the most important things to learn how to do, because eventually you won't have to, but you got to do it. Number two, what are you avoiding? Not that you hate it, but you feel uncomfortable. You don't feel you're the best at it. Maybe it's your marketing, maybe it's sales, maybe it's communicating. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's watching your metrics and your numbers. You're avoiding it because you don't like it. Not that you hate it. You're intimidated by it. You have to lean in and do those as well. That's where the needle moves. That's where success happens. And lastly, you got to realize this. Number three, once you do those and you start getting momentum, you pay someone else to do those things you hate or you don't like doing. And that's where true scale comes into play.
