Ask Yourself This If You Want MORE Success & LESS Problems...

Dean Graziosi argues that money is a tool that removes practical obstacles and lets you grow. He uses an oxygen analogy and personal stories about divorce, parenting, and travel to show how financial security enables the person you want to become. Build success habits and the right mindset first.

What in your life, if you could stroke a check right now, would solve problems for your family, for your debt, for your life, for your health. With all the opportunities that exist today, why haven't you reached your next level of income, life and wealth? In most cases, we've been lied to. We've been told that if you find the right opportunity and you work hard, you can be successful. And that's simply not true. Millionaires, billionaires, and successful people have realized you need the foundation for wealth, the habits. And that's exactly what you'll be learning on the the Millionaire Success Habits podcast. All success starts here. So if money was no longer an issue in your life, something you never had to think about again, who would you become? Not what would you get, but who would you become? Hey, it's Dean Graziosi. Welcome to the Millionaire Success Habits podcast. If you're back week after week, it's an honor and a privilege to serve, to give you the capabilities, the direction, the success success habits that I think are the foundation for all wealth, happiness, joy, and abundance in your life. And I try to do it in under 10 minutes. If you're joining us for the first time, it's a real pleasure to have you here. I hope you join week after week. Today, I want to talk about something that most people either ignore, most people feel weird about, or most people think they just want it. And that is money. I mean, here's the thing. Some of us feel bad for going after our dreams to make more money, while simultaneously, it's this crazy relationship we have with money, while simultaneously, more divorces than not are caused by lack of money or fighting over money. More stress that leads to antidepressant medication comes from money. Money is that thing we stress and worry about while simultaneously we think it might be a bad thing. It's like if a therapist had to sit between us and money, be like, oh, my God, this is the most dysfunctional relationship the world. So I want to clear that up today, and here's why. Because lately, on my Instagram, if you're following me, we're using the hashtag more than Money. My team is creating a weekly episode with me called More Than Money, and I think people are getting confused by it. Like, I don't believe that money is an incredible tool to have in your tool chest in this life of abundance, this life of reaching your full potential, and it's just simply not true. So maybe we can clear that up today, because here's what I know. Let's just pretend right now that Money was no longer an issue in your life. Yeah. In fact, let me tell this analogy, this story, in case you never heard me say it, I wrote it in my book. But I think it's really powerful. If I said to you, when is the last time you thought about oxygen? You would say, well, I haven't. Cause it's abundant, it's everywhere. You don't think about breathing, you just breathe. You take a breath and it goes out. You don't even think about it. So you can go on about your day, but if someone restricted your airway or you had to breathe through the little tiny straw at the bar that you had a little cocktail straw, the only thing you would think about is oxygen because you weren't getting enough of it. And I think that's the same analogy we could use with money. I don't think you realize maybe you're one of the lucky ones, but I don't think you're, I mean, lucky. But maybe that's not something on your mind. But I don't think you realize how often we think of money or lack of, or wanting more of it. If you think about when you go shopping, if you go, I can't get that. That's thinking about money. When you're worried about the debt that you didn't pay off, that's worried about money. When you're worried about your kids someday, maybe when you're not here, it's worrying about money. When you're worried about your parents don't have enough in retirement, it's worrying about money. You're worrying you don't have enough for retirement. That's worried about money. Wishing you would take a better vacation, buy the different house, get the new car, get the vacation home, fly first class, stay at all five star hotels, that's all thinking and worrying about money. So yes, I'm an advocate for giving you the tools, the habits, the rules for success so you can go out and reach your full potential and make more money. Because if you can cut a check for a problem, the problem goes away. I got that from Dan Sullivan, one of my mentors. Think about this right now. What in your life, if you could stroke a check right now, would solve problems for your family, for your debt, for your life, for your, your health. So I want you to, I want to anchor money in a different way because also you might be someone that loves giving it away. I mean, listen, we just passed 4 million. That's 4 million meals served through Feeding America through money we donated specifically from us. I love that and that's not the only place I give money away and do things for other people, but that's one of them. And I love it. And it fills my heart that I can go out and make money, change my family's life, change the people who work for me's life. The people who work for me get to affect their family's lives. Simultaneously, we can provide 4 million meals. So I'm just trying to get a different perspective here because here's what I know. What if right now you looked at money in a different way forever? And I want to ask you this, and I really want you to think about this. You may have heard everything I talk about, you may have heard before, but I'm asking you, when you listen from me, it'd be the first time you really heard it and you let it go into your soul, not just your thoughts, you put into your heart. What if tomorrow you woke up and money was no longer an issue in your life? Something you never had to worry about, never had to think about. It was as abundant as oxygen. Now, here's where I want you to anchor this in. I didn't say in the beginning of this podcast, what would you get if money was no longer an issue? What would you get? I said, if money was no longer an issue, who would you become? I want you right now to fantasize, to think, to project, to visualize in advance the man, the woman you would become if money was no longer an issue. You see, for me, I went through the phases where the fancy cars and I bought really expensive watches. I haven't worn a watch now in probably two years. I have a great Tesla and I'm giving it away probably in February 2019 to one of you guys or someone going through the better life challenge. But I have one car and money doesn't mean to me what I thought it was going to mean. Money means to me the man I get to become. When I went through a divorce, I was able to hire the best counselors and people to help me be a good dad, to make it a child centered divorce so my kids would be okay. I feared divorce my whole life because my parents had done it a lot. But I was able to gain and hire the capabilities to do that. I get to, when I'm with my kids, when the kids are with me, it's my day. I pick them up from school every single time. I don't have someone else pick them up. I don't have someone else do their homework. I don't have someone else take Them to practice. I go to every one of their practices. Unless I actually coach, like my daughter's team. I coach my son's flag football team. I just went there. I get to travel to exotic places and just blend in with the culture. I get to speak on stages all around the world. Now, I'm not saying this to brag. I'm saying this because this is the man I get to become. I read a personal development book almost every week. Probably about every three weeks on average. Love to say every week I start one, but it takes about three weeks to listen to it while I exercise. I take that, I insert it into my soul. I grab little pieces and change my life. I go. I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on masterminds and travel all over the world to brainstorm with other successful people wanting to go to another level. I go to the gym every day. I have a trainer that works with me. Now, none of them were the fancy car, the Lamborghini, or telling you how many houses or the yacht I bought because they're all working on me. I get to be a better version of me. I. I'm far from perfect. I've screwed up a lot in my life. I want to be a better parent. I work obsessively to be a better dad. I take advice. I hire counselors. So this isn't about me. This is about you. I really want you to think about if money was no longer an issue in your life, who. Not what, who would you become? And the more you think about that person, the more you have the foundation to get through the shit that goes sideways, get through the failure, get through the family who doesn't support you, get through the fact that you don't have money. And you got to figure another solution. Once you anchor in who you could become, then I'm going to encourage you to do everything in your power to go get money out of the way. Now, when I say that, you might say, Dean. Easier said than done. Of course it's easier said than done. If everybody could get rich by doing half assed work or dabbling, everybody would be rich. The people who get wealthy, the people who have successful companies are the ones willing to fail. The ones willing to put themselves on the line, willing to get in the game, not wear someone else's name on the back of your jersey. Rather get in the field and get bloody and fail. And not care when people criticize you. Not people not care when people tell you, oh, what a loser or what a dreamer, screw all that, they're the ones. People don't build statues of critics. They're the ones that get to watch us from the sidelines. So now, right now, what can you do to start moving the needle in your life towards more success? What foundation can you start? Listen, the reason I wrote Millionaire Success Habits, because it all starts with your foundation. It all starts with your habits. What habits can you start shifting today? Stop dreaming about a better life. Stop. Stop being envious of other people and just go do it. Just go take action and get yours.
