Break the Addiction to Negative Thoughts & Emotions (Law of Attraction)

Dean Graziosi argues that success comes from moving to solutions fast instead of dwelling on negative thoughts. He reframes failures as research and development, and painful experiences as skills you can use. The faster you stop thinking about what went wrong, the faster you win.

Positive focus, solution based thinking. Again, one of those things we already all know. But how quick can you focus on a solution? How quick you can do that is how quick you can move on. When I look back at my success, I was just really good at failing fast. I teach my kids all the time, when they start talking about the past or what went wrong, I say, how does that serve you? I know this is a really simple analogy, but if you spill a glass of milk, you could say, why did it spill? Whose fault is it? Why will it smell? How should I clean it? Or you could just go get a new glass of milk and a towel. It's how fast you focus on the solution. It's how quick your level of success can rise. And you need to train yourself that when shit goes sideways, how do I fix this? Not why did it happen. How many people do we know in our lives? And I'm not being disrespectful, had a bad relationship, somebody cheated, someone was bad. And all of a sudden they go, they're stuck on that for a month or a year or 10 years because they're looking backwards at what could go wrong rather than, how do I fix this? So it's better in the future. People do it with business, people do it with all parts of their lives. All I know is successful people, when it goes wrong, take the lesson and then look for the solution. Dan Sullivan said to me once, and I loved it, is your past is nothing more than research and development. Your past is research and development. But even better, he said, pretend there's a little house with shelves all over the walls, and on those shelves is your past, little buckets of all the different parts of your past. He goes, the greatest gift, I could say, is the house catches on fire and you only have a suitcase this big. Go grab from your past that which serves you and let the rest burn to the ground. Experience transformation. When we have two ways to look at an experience, the one you look at and say with regret, with guilt, I can't believe I did this. Why did I fall for that? Why didn't I follow through on the business? I knew I didn't have the time. I knew that wasn't the right partner. You could do all those things and all of a sudden that experience doesn't serve you at all. Or you can transform the experience and say, what did I learn from that? I moved in with my dad when I was 10 and he was rough. He was rough. He'd lose it and get mad. He was kind of violent and As a kid, I hated that because he could go off the deep end and it would be really tough as a kid, and I didn't realize that. I learned how to read his emotions. If I let him get in the wrong space, it would be violent and some crazy stuff. But I learned how to see that coming, and I could feel that emotion, and all of a sudden I could feel his heart, and I could steer him into being more in a loving path. I had no idea what that was doing. I could look back and go, poor me. I had a violent, crazy dad. Or I could look back, go, holy crap. He taught me how to read people. I could sit here today and feel this audience. Feel what you need, desire, hope. I'm delivering what you need in your life because of that experience with my dad. Because if I didn't read him, it was tough. Now I can read people on the other side of a camera and an audience. That was the greatest gift he could have ever given me. I'd still be working on cars if I didn't have that gift. I transformed that experience. So what experience can you transform in your life? What's up? What's up? Hey, before you go, you need to watch these next few videos. They're absolute game changers. Hurry up and click right over here and watch them, and I'll see you there. Sa.
