Cohort 3 - Day 2 - 4-9-2025

Dean Graziosi leads a workshop where Travis, Russ, and Kara build AI tools from scratch. They set up OpenAI API keys and Twilio SMS, debug a live Replit app, and test image generators like Midjourney and ChatGPT, covering prompt engineering and usage rights.

Well, this kind of starts, but. All right, so I just want to start today off by asking what you guys, you know, what were your thoughts as you, you know, went through the rest of the day yesterday, fell asleep, woke up smartly. What. How's your, has your mind changed a little bit around AI open mic time, around AI or around business? Just everything that you do and how, how you can approach it differently now. Just love to hear what your thoughts were on yesterday.
I thought Replit was pretty impressive, and I think, you know, also just kind of what my thoughts were in general was how far it's come to be able to use, like, normal casual language and be able to get something, you know, pretty technical, pretty, pretty awesome with normal casual language. So excited to see where it continues to evolve. But yeah, I was pretty impressed with Replit and how much could be built on, you know, very simple prompt.
Yeah. So love it. Yeah, I, I was impressed with, you know, with just a little bit of vision that, that I gave it, you know, how it would prompt me and make recommendations and suggestions and, you know, think something I wouldn't even think about. I would say, you know, do you want this on, you know, as part of that? And anyway, it's just, you know, things that I never would have dreamed of doing, being able to do. And what you didn't tell me is how addicting it would be. I, I, I was up till 3am I love it. That's exactly what happened to me too. I had the identical experience and many students that have taken this course so far have said the same thing. They're like, yeah, I was up to like three, and I finally had to go to bed. It's awesome. What about you, Russ?
You know, we've had a couple of AI initiatives within my core business, and so I guess I feel like I, I feel like I've had a pretty good grasp, you know, up until now for sort of what it can do. But the, the great mystery, the hard part is, like, which tools to use because literally there are a million different entrepreneurs building something to, you know, some kind of an AI tool and like, being able to, to echo tackle Blake's, you know, statement about man, just the power of Replit, the way that it's, it really does just act like it's, it's hard to explain. It acts like a senior developer skills with, with no experience.
Right.
So, so it's like that somehow completely full stack and then. But it's fascinating. Like, I, my mind is blown. Watching it write code, watching it fix its code. A lot of times, like, it sees, you know, sees mistakes before you even notice them. It's like, I did this. Oh, but it looks like something's wrong. Hang on just a minute. Like, well, it is. It's wild. My mind is blown.
I had a student in the afternoon yesterday, really, really awesome guy named Nick Gordon. He actually was going to join this. This course, but he had to. He had to move to the afternoon just for scheduling reasons and. But he owns. He owns about $250 million of companies and very, very successful entrepreneur. Known him since about 1998. Long time. He was a missionary. My dad was a mission president. He was. He was one of my dad's mission missionaries. Super smart guy. But he was literally, like, during the course, like, he's building this thing and whatever, but he's on the side. He said at the end, at the very end, he's texting his. His engineers, right? And he's got like a team of seven in one of his companies. And he's like, guys, I asked for a website like, two weeks ago. And you're like. You guys were like, yeah, it'll take us a couple weeks. Just give it. He's like, what's wrong with you? Like, seriously, what's wrong with you? Like, why should I not fire you guys right now? Like, those are the kind of conversations he was having, like, after one course, one class, right? It's. It's changing. It's changing the world as we know it. And it's just getting started. The guys. Three years ago, we didn't have ChatGPT. Two and a half years ago, we didn't have it. It was early 2023 when is when the first ChatGPT subscription became available. And yeah, sure, there were a little AI things here and there, but that was. That was when it really just like, boop. Right? Like that. That's when it became real. And we're two and a half years into it, guys. That's great. Ten more years. I can't. I can't even. And I'm a pretty smart guy and I'm tuned in. I can't even begin to project what will be possible. I know that whatever I project is probably way underestimating. Yeah.
Miles behind.
Exactly. Yeah. Quantum, right? Combine quantum with. AI'm fascinated by how much I don't understand quantum mechanics. It's crazy. I know what a qubit is. I can tell you what it is, and I still don't know what it means or how it works. It's crazy. But what I do know is that quantum computing is millions. It's like that surf versus swim, right? You've got the tsunami versus an individual. That difference between the amount of energy created, that's the difference between quantum and standard computing. And you combine that with AI, I'm pretty terrified, actually, of what can happen. But there's. There's no way any developer who thinks they can keep up with AI is absolutely incorrect, right? Unless they're using AI right now, if they're partnering with it. And that's really the goal of this course, right? Is to help you guys partner with AI to learn how to teach all of your employees, your partners, your whatever, right? Like Travis, I know you've got your guy sitting there. Maybe he's there today, maybe he's not. But he's learning this stuff too. And he needs to be using AI. And you guys need to teach everybody you know how to use AI. And you need to tell your family to use AI and to learn how to do it, right? You gotta figure out how to get the message out. Because, you know, just yesterday I think I mentioned it on this, right? And I posted it this morning, right? Shopify CEO said, hey, if you don't know AI, get out. That's it. Right? And not only that, if you want to hire another person, if you want to add to our headcount, you have to show me why AI can't do it first.
Yeah, prove that AI can't do that job.
Exactly. If you. If you can't prove that, then, you know, I'm out. So, I mean, I brought us dire wolves. We're back, right? They're back. Next is the woolly mammoth. The next is the T. Rex. And we know how that story ends, but. But it's crazy question for you. Yeah, what's up?
Where do you see a lot of the value going over the next five, 10 years as Quantum and AI come together and change everything as we know it? Where do you see a lot of the value going?
I think Doug's going to be the most employable, I think. Really, I'm not joking about that. I think it's going to be people that know how to talk to people, right? And know how to deal with the soft skills a lot better. Now, AI is going to be able to approximate those like. And you can have an AI therapist, for example. That's pretty dang good, right? And there's actually a lot of AI therapists that are out there. And that's fine, but. But the reality is you got to figure out how you can affect people's lives directly, you know, connecting with them human to human. And so I know that's a really broad answer and probably not like, oh, take this career path, you know, but, you know, I'd avoid things like, don't be a pilot. AI is going to take care of that. AI can, or, sorry, plans can already land themselves. Right. And I know that, you know, there's plenty of reasons why that's not completely there, but that's going to improve drones and automated, you know, don't be an Uber driver, because that's going to be taken away. You know, there's the entry level of virtually every skill you can imagine will be doable by AI, and the most senior level of almost every skill you can imagine will be done by AI. Now, I think that humans still, I think that our brains operate on something that's even more powerful than quantum. I really do. And in fact, there's some pretty cool studies that have happened right now. You know how when you think about, like, you just randomly think of someone and then they, like, call you, you know, I'm sure you've all had that happen, right? I legitimately believe in their studies that have been done, I could. They could send them to, if you want to see it, or you can just Google it, ask AI about it. They'll point them to you or point you to them. That's quantum computing happening in our brain, right? Where you can have two. You can have the same thought, the same, you know, elements and things happening in two completely different places, hundreds, thousands of miles, millions of miles away, even. Right? That's the, that's the theoretical thing there. So there's a heck of a lot we don't understand about our brain. But what I mean by saying that is our brain is still way more powerful than these quantum computers, right? And so we're going to be able to think of things. You know, I think it's going to be quite some time before you have CEO, for example, that can be replaced by AI, right? CEOs can make, or even, even a smart AI, right. Is still not going to take into account human considerations in the same way that humans will. I think that therapists are still going to be that way for a long time. I think one, one of actually this is. And this is kind of backwards to our current or current society is one thing that's going to take a very long time for AI and robotics to replace someone. Like a plumber, right? It's very hard for a robot to be cheap enough and accessible enough and dexterous enough to be able to reach into somewhere and grab something to do. Will they be able to do it? Yeah, but I think we're 30 years from that, really. I think we're a long ways away from things like plumbing. There's plenty of those types of things. You're also probably not going to have a robot know gymnastics coach and you're probably not going to. So it's a lot of the physical stuff, it's actually quite opposite the, the, the, the development of AI and robotics is actually quite opposite of what everybody thought. Everyone said, oh, the manual skill's done like that. Automation is going to take, you know, going to get rid of the, you know, creatives are going to be the ones that are, are the most protected, right? AIs can't make art. Well, I'm going to prove that is not true today, and you guys all probably already know that, but we're going to go in and dive into some fun tools. Um, we're gonna do a lot of, you know, some, some visual stuff today and learn how to integrate that with replit and stuff like that. But creatives are actually the first to go now, right? Like, if you wanna, if you wanna be a, an advertiser, if you wanna be in advertising today, you, you better be able to use AI, because everyone else is going to and they're gonna outdo you. And now, Chad, GPT, you can take. I'm sure you guys have seen all the posts, right, where people just hold up, you know, a product and they say, all right, make this person doing this, make him smile, make him better looking, give him better teeth, you know, have him doing a backflip while he's drinking it, you know, whatever, like, and it, and it does it, it can do it perfectly now. And so photo shoots are gone, right? That's, that's crazy. So I think there's also going to be a, a pretty solid movement for realism. I think that people are going to be craving realism more and more and more. They're gonna be like, I'm sick of all this fake stuff. Like, I don't want to see a picture of a pretty girl made by AI. Like, I want to see a pretty girl, right? You know, I can, I can, I can take my, my wife's picture, right? Just her, her face or whatever, and I can make her do anything I want, right? If I want to say, hey, honey, what do you look like in a bikini on the beach in, you know, Maui? I can do that, right? But what does that mean? What does that matter. It's fake. It's not real. It's not real connection, right? And, and that, you know, that counterfeit, right. I think we're all members of the church here, so we'll talk just a little bit about that. But that counterfeit feeling is, is from Satan, right? That is something that has to be actively fought against. And, and, and I think that, I think that's going to be one of our challenges of our day, right? Because you can approximate real human life so well now, even to the point where it's, you know, the Turing Test, can't tell the difference, right? It's. And in fact, AI, just a couple days ago, literally like two days ago, finally passed the Turing Test. You can't tell. You can't tell anymore. It was a big official test and they did it. And AI, AI, one they were able to talk to. They did a big. The, the test was basically they took a bunch of people that needed, you know, therapy and, and, and then they were. It was all done via text, right? It was all text based therapy. And half of the people without knowing we're talking to AI, and half the people without knowing were talking to therapists. Everybody thought they were just talking to therapists, right? And then went back and did a bunch of research on it. And, and nobody could tell that it was AI, right? You can teach AI, you can say, hey, I want you to talk to me like a 13 year old gen Z kid that uses lots of slang, misspells things all the time. You just train the AI, tell it to act like that, and it will do it. It will respond like that. So anyway, guys, yeah, it's a great question, Blake. It's one that's worthy of consideration and lots of research. And considering what you're going to do for the future now, in the short term, in the next two to seven years, let's say, right? I believe that we're going to see. I think we're going to see huge value for those that are on this course that understand where we are, how to use AI. Because you're going to look like a superhero, Doug. You're going to be a superhero at your job because you're the only one diving in deeply into AI and bringing tools to the table faster than people can think of them, right? That's crazy, right? Russ, you should be standing out like crazy in your space, right? Providing amazing tools for your clients to be able to monitor their portfolios, to see what's going on or monitor the process or make some crazy transaction that Saves tax, you know, make it, you know, say, hey, you know what, will you help me like put something together really quick for, for this type of a transaction that shows step by step by step by step and then create a portal where, where customers can, or where, you know, where my clients can log in and see exactly where we are and what step we're at. That doesn't exist today. And for you to build that, you know, even, even a couple of years ago would cost you, you know, a million bucks. And now you can make it in a weekend. You can be like, you know what? I want this.
Yeah, a million bucks. And more importantly, John, a year.
100%. 100%. It's the time and the energy.
Infinite amount of brain damage. Exactly.
You got it.
I was working on my site last night and I was thought it was crazy. The suggestions it was giving me too of things I could add to my site like, wow, do you want this?
Yeah. Yes. Let's go. Next. Next. Next.
I'm telling you, John, I know you from, from your perspective, you know, talking about building tools, raising money. I've been through all thing right. Multiple times and like the, the process of, of just iterating what you want, just getting it to, to a point where you have a feature set that's worth trying to develop so you can test it so you can get a little bit of, you know, customer feedback and see if it, it creates better product market fit. Like it is so timec consuming. It's. It is such a huge time like hopping in with your dev team to be the product owner. You know what, once a week, every other week for, I mean you spend an entire day just doing outlining, planning to decide which features you want to go develop. And then you wait and you wait and you wait and then, you know, four weeks later they delivery on a Sprint and you're looking at it and you're like, well wait, I thought we were going after these 13 features for this Sprint. Well, yeah, but we ran into this snag and so we, we have two features.
Yeah.
And it's like that was a month of time. And the expectations, like the complexity of telling clients, customers and, and partners that hey, this is coming out. Just so you know, we're going to be testing this and then to have to constantly go back to maintain your credibility and burn the hours that it takes to strategize those conversations like it is infinitely impactful. It's amazing.
My blood pressure is just going up thinking about those conversations that I've had with people like, it's coming. Like, I promise you it's coming. And I know I've been saying that for 14 months, but it really is coming. Like, we're working on it. It's just hard. We were doing hard stuff with augmented reality, right? I promised this. I promised, literally, Nike. I promised Nike a shoe try on, right? Like a couple years before Snapchat was doing it, whatever. And like, my team said, I think we can do it. We can do it. Yeah. And we. And we could get it, but it was just like, it wasn't good enough that I could put it in front of Nike. And so it was this constant, just like, you know, and now today, guys, I bet we could build a shoe try on by the end of this session today. We all just said, okay, we're just going to build a shoe try on. We're going to use all the libraries that are out there now. We could do it right now. Obviously, you know, some of that technology has progressed, but the point is, in the time it now takes to do the planning meeting, you can instead just be done with the entire project, with the entire product that you needed. Those 13 features are done while you're talking about it. Oh, hey, now we see it. Okay, what do we think about this, guys? Oh, yeah, let's tweak this. Let's tweak this, let's tweak this. Great. All right, you. I want you to go spend two more hours, make sure it's good. Make sure the security holes are plugged and things like that, because there's some stuff, like, you do have to clean stuff up when you, when you write code with AI quickly like this. But, gosh, it's. It's. It's maybe a factor of a thousand times easier to do things now when you consider cost and time and again, all the other tools you're talking about, the brain power and the, you know, the focus and energy and just all those things, when they all come together multiplied, it really is probably close to a thousand x more efficient. So anyway, guys, keep thinking like this. You're gonna. You're gonna do well, right? Like, I. I don't know exactly what the answer is, Blake. Like, where should I go? Where should I focus, right? I'm coming out of BYU and, you know, what do I do with my life? You know, I get it. Like, I was there and I'm kind of still there, even though I'm 40. You know, what should I do? How do I do this? But. But the reality is, if you just, if you go into every, every thought and idea and process and challenge that you're coming across with the understanding that you now have of, okay, I understand what's possible. You'll make good decisions, right? You're a smart guy. So, all right, we're going to dive in now guys, to, to day two here. And you know, just to review a little bit yesterday we, we really just kind of talked about how to define our ideas and how to use AI to refine those ideas. Right. Even if we didn't know exactly what we wanted to do, we just started talking about it. And then. Okay, yeah, I think I get it now. And then you start, you start riffing with AI and you ask it to do some interview stuff and all of a sudden you're like, hey, I know what I'm doing now. Like, I get it. I know exactly what's going on. And then you take that and you throw it into another AI, like going from chat GPT to grok and then you, you let it, you know, kind of argue with itself and do some deep research and that, that deep research guys, that grok where it's doing that, you're doing a month worth of research in two minutes. Like if you were to give that to a human, hey, I need you to do research. I need you to find 50 sources. I need you to then, you know, analyze it all and summarize it all like that. It's just unbelievable amounts of work that you would have to do before I now it deep researches it, deep things it, and then you throw it back and you refine the idea in ChatGPT. Take that and give it to Replit. So this multi agent, we're kind of building a multi agent, you know, factory kind of manually right now. Right. Obviously there's ways that you could, you could actually build a replit tool. Maybe I'll do that. Maybe I'll do this. I think it's a pretty cool idea. A replit tool that lets you have an idea. It then interviews you all inside this one tool and that's talking to ChatGPT. And then I ask it, okay, refine the idea and that kicks it over to Grok and deep thinks it and does all this stuff and comes back and spits out something new and then loads it in and prepares it all of the files exactly as they need to be for replit. I can make that tool in a few hours and just connect everything via API. And all of a sudden I've got a perfect tool for my class that I'm teaching here and Say, hey, I'm going to give you guys access to my ultra cool special tool that refines ideas. And, and I could probably add a few more steps in there even to have it refine it really, really, really well. And, but anyway, guys, the point is using that multi agent framework makes you, makes you look really, really smart. Okay? So you define everything and you just kind of get started. And the idea, really my goal by the end of day one is to have everybody started inside Replit. And I think we actually moved a little bit faster yesterday than I have with other classes because we have just a few less people than others than other courses I've done. And I think that's, that was a big benefit to everybody. We got to, we got to just kind of, you know, crank forward. So, so let me just do a quick poll. How many of you guys have something started in Replit where it's, you know, it's building, obviously, Doug, you've been going till 3am so. Yeah. So everybody. Okay, perfect. I'm seeing hands all around, so that's fantastic. That's. That's exactly where we want to be. And again, I think, I think ahead, ahead of the game. So today, guys, I want to focus on, I want to focus really on some more visual type stuff. And the visual type stuff is going to be related to how people feel around your brand and how they feel inside of your app. Right? And so I don't know, you know, I know a lot of you have done varying levels of work on your specific product inside of Replit and a lot of it is okay. Now we've got this framework. Now let's start to really say, hey, do I like this experience when I land on the page, Do I like it? If not, why not? Right? If you don't even know why not? You could just say, I don't feel great when I land on this page. Do you have some ideas of what we could do? Don't write any code. Just tell me and it'll say, well, you know what, you're probably feeling this and this and this or maybe these colors maybe just don't work very well. Why don't we try this? Yeah, great, let's try that. So even if you don't know, AI can can kind of guide you. So we're going to work on that a little bit. We're also going to be working on. Sorry, I need to turn on do not Disturb. So I don't get notifications popping up here. All right. We're also going to be working on like you, you should by the end of today. And today I want you guys to be kind of working as I'm teaching and, and, you know, kind of just working on the side and listening and paying attention, you know, really closely when I say, hey, guys, pay attention for a second here. And then look at my screen when I do that. But we're going to be working on some API setups today, so we'll do some visual stuff, we'll do some APIs. APIs are going to be. They're so easy. They're so freaking easy. After you've seen one or two of them, you're going to be like, this is like, I got this. And the reason why it's so easy is because all of you know how to read past a third grade level. Like, it's all it takes. You just have to follow the instructions. It says, hey, go here, click this, copy this, paste this right. If you can do that. If you can, you know, command A, command C, command V. You got it, right? Like that's, that's about all it takes and a little bit of clicking. Okay, so we'll, we'll work on some AI or some API stuff and, and that'll be fun. That'll be fun. Super easy. Kara, I'm going to use you. Do you have, you have some AI stuff that you're wanting to do, right, with some AI recipe stuff?
Yeah. You mean. Yeah.
I don't know if you have that part integrated yet or where that's going to fit in, but that's okay. It's super easy. What we're going to do, what we'll do is we'll just, even if we just add a new tab to what you're doing already, and we'll say, hey, AI generated recipes, and you can change the name of it later. Right, but we'll build it. We'll, you know, we'll have you share your screen. We'll have you walk through the steps. It's very, very easy to do. Okay? And then, Travis, I'm going to use you as well. And we're going to set up, we're going to set up some Twilio and stuff like that. Okay, so what I want you to do right now, Travis, go ahead. And I want you to sign up for a Twilio account. It's free, but we'll build it. It's free, but it'll take you like three or four minutes to get through that setup process. Go ahead and set up a Twilio account and then in a minute we'll have you share your screen. And Kara, I want you to sign up for an open AI account. But it's like ChatGPT and it's free. It's actually totally free. So. But you need to sign up. Just type in Open Air API into Google. Right. Actually, in fact, I'm going to just send this over zoom right here to the link that you need to go to. Whoops. Not share. I don't want to share Chat paste. And actually I will share just for a second. So this is what you're looking for. You'll land. I just, I just dropped it in. This is your platform, OpenAI. This is how you're going to connect Chat GPT to a platform. And all of you guys are welcome to do this at the same time if you want. You're like, oh, I want, I want AI on my platform. That's fine, you can do this. But you set it up and what you'll do is you'll just click sign up up here in the top, right. And, and then you'll just create an account and this is a different account. Just use your Gmail. You can continue with Google or whatever you want. Right. And, and in fact, I'll just kind of go through it right now. I'm not going to do the whole thing. Yeah, if we have a, if we.
Have an OpenAI, if we have a GPT subscription already, John, can we just use that to log in? Or we need to create.
You can't. No, this is a different one. This is a different site of, or side of OpenAI. And what you're going to need to do is you're just going to come in here and you'll have, there will be some APIs and some keys in here and things that you need and it's really, really easy. It's like super, super easy to do. But, but you have to, you have to sign in as a, as a different one and it will ask you to put a credit card in and it will, you know, I don't think it might ask you to put like a Five dollar credit on or something like that and just go ahead and do that and it's going to just charge you five bucks, but you won't use five dollars for like months. Like it's, it's a, it's a usage thing. And the amount of usage we're going to do while we test it here will equate to roughly, I don't know, maybe one and a half cents. Right. So it's going to be very, very, very cheap. But it will ask for credit card just so you can get it in and running. And then we'll, we'll, we'll pull up the APIs. Okay.
Does it need all that?
Yeah, organization name. Just call it whatever and whatever your project is called. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, so just go ahead and set that up. So guys, we'll do, we'll do some API stuff and we'll probably start out with that and then we'll bounce over to some, some more fun image stuff later to kind of give ourselves a break or to give our brains a break. The image stuff is fun and, and relatively easy. But I got a lot of cool stuff to show you there that will, that will, you know, set you above your peers and the type of stuff they're creating. And then we're going to talk about some automation. Right. You know, one of the things that. Marketing automation specifically. Right. One of the things that you guys are going to need if you're trying to push whatever you have going is you got to figure out how to scale. People have to know about you. Right. People need to know where to go look for you. And so we'll start to talk about that, although we'll cover more of that tomorrow. So anyway, with that being said, let's go ahead and start Kara here. Kara, did you get signed up already? Did you get that piece finished?
It's asking for an API key name.
And I just call it. Yeah. What's the name of your, of your website?
Balsamic Picker.
Yeah, so just call it that.
Project name, I guess just website.
I don't know. Yeah, just whatever, whatever you want. Camera a little bit here so I can get comfortable. All right. Have you gotten to the point where it's asking you to put in five bucks or to fund your. Camera a little bit here so I can get comfortable. All right. Have you gotten to the point where it's asking you to put in five bucks or to fund your account?
Kind of your first API call. What?
So go ahead and share your screen. Let's make sure we click all the right buttons here.
All right, let's do that. Your account, kind of your first API call. What?
So go ahead and share your screen. Let's make sure we click all the right buttons here.
All right, let's do that.
Let's get back to your browser. There.
And now it's gone.
Did you open it in Safari?
Maybe I just clicked on your link. So maybe it did open over there. Yep, that was the problem. Perfect.
Okay, awesome. Make your first API call. So there it is. You have your API key, so just stay there for now. Okay, so let's go. Let's bounce over to replit.
Okay. My other to this.
Yep, perfect. Now go ahead and click run there at the top, the green button. So guys, if you leave your project for, you know, overnight, whatever, it's just going to turn off. It's not going to keep running on that server. And so you just turn it back on now. It's not going to. After you deploy it, it's always on. Right? It's on publicly, but in the staging environment where you're working in replit, you just have to turn it back on. So no big deal. And then go ahead. And there's a little plus button just barely to the right of your cursor there. Just open a new tab right next to console. Yeah, right there. And then scroll all the way to the bottom and click Web View. There you go. So we'll talk a little bit more about some replit stuff today, guys. We're going to do a lot of kind of more advanced replit stuff. Okay, so we're up and running. That's co. So first, show us your website. Just take us on a tour of what you've built and what, you know, what, what, what is each section supposed to do? How does it work? Just.
Just not super built, but I mean, just pretty much. This is all that you. All that I've really worked on is just this, what you see at the very moment. But there will be featured recipes. Those are not my recipes right now.
I get it. We get it. Yeah. We just want to kind of see the idea.
And then video tutorials and then places to sign up for in person classes, monthly subscriptions for videos that only subscribers can get. And social media, I'm assuming, is what this is. Yep. My Instagram. This is not my pictures yet, but.
Is that your Balsamic Baker? Is that your. Your actual Instagram?
Yes.
Yeah. All right, everybody follow.
If you're actually. This is wrong, though. The. The Balsamic Baker is wrong. It should be just Balsamic Baker. So I guess I got to tell it to.
How about this? Let me teach you something really great. It's really cool. So go.
This is not my pictures yet, but.
Is that your Balsamic Baker? Is that your. Your actual Instagram?
Yes.
Yeah. All right, everybody follow.
If you're actually. This is wrong, though. The, the balsamic beaker is wrong. It should be just balsamic down in.
Where it says Message Agent. And right below it you'll see a little kind of like target icon. See where it.
Right, Baker. So I guess I got to tell it to.
How about this? Let me teach you something really great. It's really cool. So go next to Attachment. That Attach. Yeah, that thing. Click that. And then down in where it says Message Agent. And right below it you'll see a little kind of like target icon. See where it Move your mouse over onto the. Yeah, now go ahead and just click that. Perfect. Next to Attachment. That attached. Yeah, that thing. Click that. And then I'll go back to the agent. So now it knows exactly what you're talking about, right? And say, Change this to BalsamicBaker. Move your mouse over onto the. Yeah, now go ahead and just click that. Perfect. Now go back to the agent. So now it knows exactly what you're talking about, right? And say, change this to Balsamicbaker.
Type correctly.
Make sure you type it correct because it's. Gonna do exactly what you tell it here. Okay. Enter perfect. So that's a really cool thing, guys. I. I absolutely.
Correctly.
Make sure you type it correct because it's going to do exactly what you tell it here. Here. Okay. Enter perfect. So that's a really cool thing, guys. I, I absolutely love that tool, the selector tool. Sometimes you're like, you know, screenshotting and dragging stuff. I love that tool, the selector tool. Sometimes you're like, you know, screenshotting and dragging stuff over and whatever you're trying to tell it what you mean, and it's like it's changing the wrong thing. And so you can cover whatever you're trying to tell what you mean, and it's like it's changing the wrong thing. And so you can click that and be like, no, this, this is what I need you to change. Change this picture to this picture that I upload right here. You know, that's awful.
I was like, trying to explain to.
It like that and be like, no, this, this is what I need you to change. Change this picture to this picture that I upload right here. You Know that's helpful.
Last night I was like trying to explain to it where I wanted to change things.
Yeah, so that's a fun one.
Where I wanted to change the.
Thanks. Yeah, so that's a fun one. And by the way, guys, that's. That tool did not exist three weeks ago. It's brand new. So. So, John, it's not showing on mine. Is that a feature you have to turn on or maybe. I don't know. I've had that happen, Doug, a few times. Have you start. Have you ever clicked new chat or are you just still in the same first original chat? I'm all on the same. I think it has to do with that. I think once you get past a certain context level, it just doesn't work. Hey, Balsamic Baker works now. Check it out. See that? It fixed it. It's now this. Anything else you want to update? Perfect. It just did your thing. That's all we wanted. This is great. Doug. I think it has. I don't know the answer. I've tried to figure it out myself because sometimes it appears for me and sometimes it doesn't. But the pattern that I think I've identified is that when I get too much in the context, it, you know, it's. It's not what I. It's not doing what I want.
So is it good to create like new, new chats every once in a while?
It is, but don't do it, guys. So let me. Before we go into AI, let's talk about this. I want to really drill in on this, on this issue because it's really important. I'm gonna, I'm gonna stop your sharing, Carol. We'll have you share again. You, you. Now that you know how to do that, you're gonna be like, yes, I can fix all these little things I was working on. So I'm going to share my screen for just a minute. We're going to talk about this because I think it really is important. So right now, in this chat, I've spent a dollar. You can hover, you know, you can hover over this little thing right here and it says I'm up to a dollar, right? If you start to get up to like six or seven dollars or something like that. And Doug, I bet you are, because you were going for hours and hours and hours. You're spending, you know, a little bit of money using that. So this element selector is, is really important. But what you need to do is before you, before you're done with your chat, you have to say this. Okay, I'll zoom in so you guys can see it really well. Please update the Progress MD with everything that has been done in this chat and make sure that it reflects the current state of the project. And I'm going to send it to you guys so you can just. The Progress MD is everything that has been done in this chat and make sure that it reflects the current state of the project. Copy paste it. Okay? So if you do that, then remember, guys, why, why do we have that readme in that progress? Obviously we uploaded it in the beginning, but now we need to keep it up to date. Right. And occasionally you'll update the readme as well. If you change something. If you're like, hey, we've got a new direction here, we've got a new feature. Please update the readme so that it knows that we have this and add in some tracking for these things on the Progress md. And so it will open Progress MD file and it will say, okay, here's. Oh, yeah. Hey, this is kind of cool. Enterprise solutions. Yeah, I had it, I had it work on some enterprise solution stuff for me. I need to look at those changes before I, before I, you know, deploy. So I'm not going to deploy yet, but Progress md, this, this needs to just constantly be updated. Now this, I don't have this one set up with check marks and things like that. I do that. I do. But we've got completed features, previous enhancements, things like that. And so it just, by updating this, it just knows what's going on because when you click new chat, which I'm about to do in a second here, it just did it. That's great. I'm not going to redeploy yet because I might want to redeploy. I would normally redeploy. I'm going to go to another project because I don't want to mess this one up because this is real. But I am going to bounce over here to Flow finder. We're going to keep working on this. I'm excited to work on this. I worked on a totally new project yesterday afternoon. I was building two new companies yesterday which was, which was, you know, stressful a little bit, but fun. Okay, so back to Flow finder here. But, but let's see here. I need to look at. I don't. Yeah, we got the progress here. We've got the readme file here. Hold on. Here's progress. See, this one has nice, you know, check marks. If yours looks like this, then, you know, that's awesome. It's really easy to see, like, okay, what do I want to work on? And I can come in and be like, what do I think is important here? Right? You know what? I think I really want river condition ratings. That'd be really cool. You just submitted river condition ratings, so that's real time anyway, whatever. But I can come in here and start working on different things and I know exactly what's going on. If I don't update it, it's not the end of the world. If I click new chat, it's not the end of the world. Now one of the things that is also important, you have to know is while I'm in one chat, I can click roll back to here. If I break something, I can click roll back to here. Roll back to here, whatever, right? If I, if I'm like, all right, we're gonna try something crazy, this might not work, but whatever, let's go. And, and then, you know, I work for 20 minutes and I'm like, oh my gosh, the app is broken. I can't fix itself. Rollback, right? And so that's gonna just roll everything back. As soon as you start a new chat, all of those rollbacks are disabled. You cannot roll back to a previous chat. So you got to know that that's important. Make a decision before you decide to do that. But here's where the new chats really matter. Remember yesterday we were talking about context and how an AI has a limited amount of context, a limited amount of knowledge it can consume and understand and process inside of one request. Well, every time you type something new into this chat right now, it is going to consider everything that has been done in this chat. Okay, so what does that do to your costs, your development costs makes them higher because you're getting charged based on context, usage and compute thinking, all that stuff, right? And so if you start with a brand new chat and you've got this little baby context of just 100, 200 words or maybe a thousand words that cost you nothing. But when you're having it process 10,000 words every single, every single request, you're going to get charged more. Okay, so you don't. You. The best way to do it is to say hyper organized with, with your progress MD and your readme MD files and, and then, and then keep those tasks, those chats to like, okay, we're going to do like five things and then we're going to start a new chat. Like once you're getting up to about a dollar, that's about when I like to Change. Now, occasionally, if I'm doing some things where I'm like, sometimes I get in a role and sometimes the agent is just like, I know exactly what you're doing. And it's really interesting how that works. But like, for example, with my Gen API, when I'm making new course content and it's following a pattern, sometimes I have to teach it for a while and then finally it's like, okay, I got it. I'm just making, boom. I just did this, this, this, this, this. I made all your quizzes and your test and everything and it's perfect. And I check it, I'm like, exactly. And I'm like, let's make a new course, use the same pattern. Go. And it's like, I got this. And it goes for 20 minutes and just nails it. And, you know, so sometimes I'll keep it open. And that might. My chat gets up to 16 or something like that for that specific chat. But I produced, you know, three months worth of content creation right in that. In that chat. So is it worth it? Yeah, absolutely. So it's just kind of a balance that you're going to have to learn. You just have to understand, okay, if I have lots of context, I'm going to be charged a little bit more if I don't, whatever. So. So anyway, here we go. I had. I'm going to click resume here. Looks like the agent encountered an error while it was trying to finish this thing. So I'm going to see if it can finish what it was working on here and I'm going to keep it going. But anyway, that's really all I need to talk about with the chat right now. While this is thinking and going, we're going to bounce back to Cara and we're going to set up some AI stuff. So, John, when you set up a new chat, what do you start with? How? Good question. Good question. And I should cover that right now. And I just started this. So it's gonna. I don't know, it's gonna try to figure out what it was doing here and it might. Maybe it's done. It might actually be done with this thing. But what you're going to type is this. And I'm going to type it right here and then I'm gonna paste it into the. Into the. Into the zoom chat here. So basically you're going to type please review whoops the readme MD and progress MD files in the project and familiarize yourself the project. Then let's work on X, whatever you want to work on. Now, that's your transition. That's a very, very efficient transition because it basically just says, hey, familiarize yourself with the project. If you just say, let's work on this without giving it any context, what it will do is it will go and it will read the entire code base and look at everything. Or at least it will try to. And it will try to figure out what you mean or what you want or what you're doing. What are you trying to accomplish here again? Oh, yeah, okay. I'm not really sure, but when you give it the readme in progress, it's like, got it. I understand what we're trying to do. I've identified the spot. Let's work on this thing now. Like, it's. It's amazing how much of a difference that's made.
So this is after. This is after you create a new chat or.
Yeah, right after you create a new chat. So at the end of the chat, you're going to do this. The progress md. Please update the progress MD with everything that has been done in this chat. Make sure that it reflects the current state of the project. Great. Now, new chat. Okay. Please review the README MD and progress MD files in the project and familiarize yourself with the project. Let's work on this now. Okay, so, yeah, you give it your next prompt. Let's work on X is just give it your next prompt. So that's really it. Update the progress md. New chat. Let's work on something. Let's work on something new. Read these files and figure out, you know, where. What. What we need to do next. Okay. Okay.
Hey, do you want to me to push share?
Yeah, I'm going to push. Stop here and then go ahead. Yeah.
And I'm sorry, I'm still stuck right here.
That's where you want to be right there. Don't do anything. We're just going to leave that for now. Go back to. Yeah, let's stick in replit for now.
Oh, go back.
We're going to come back and get this in a minute, you know, but. But not quite yet. All right, so Balsamic Baker. It's looking awesome. I absolutely love it. Okay, click on recipes for me at the top there.
I haven't put any recipes in yet, but.
Okay, that's okay. What I'm trying to consider here is where we should do this right now. And I'm thinking we just make a new tab. I think we just make a new tab. So go ahead and message the agent and let's say I want to create a New menu item for an AI recipe. I don't know. Call it an AI Recipe companion or. I don't know, what do we want to call this AI recipe?
Want me to create a what, a new.
Yeah, I want to create a new, you know, primary. Just say primary. Nav Menu item. Nav. Primary Nav Menu. It's for navigation. Menu. Nav Menu item for an AI. What do we call it? An AI Baking Assistant. I don't know. What do we call it? Sure, we'll call it AI Baking Assistant. For now. Yeah.
Color.
Yeah, yeah, perfect, whatever. And I will come up with a better name for that later. For now, we're just going to do that and then just click period. Then let's keep typing here. We got to tell what we're going to do. We're going to. We want. We want to create. Well, let's talk about it before you type it. Let's talk about it. What do you want? What's your. What's your idea? What's your idea for this AI recipe thing? Is it going to be something where you say, hey, here are my available ingredients. Make a recipe or not really?
Because what AI can't do is taste how that's gonna be together.
Yeah.
So I would want them to just say, I want these flavor combinations, basically. So I want to make a tart, but I want a plain dough, and I want this flavor filling, and I want this sauce to go on top of it, you know, and so they can come. They make that tart. So. So now I've made a strawberry mango tart, and so they can pull my strawberry sauce recipe and my mango cream filling and my tart dough together, and they've made their own.
Product. Kind of you want them to be pulling from the recipes that are your things that are already in here. So maybe.
Is this like, maybe for after? I've.
It is for after. So for now, what we're going to do. And that's okay. I wanted to understand that. For now, what we're going to do is this. I want you to. Okay. This will allow users to create their own recipes. Yeah. So go ahead and type this. Yeah, this will allow users to create their own recipes by combining things they find from other recipes about that. I don't know, combining ideas, let's say, by combining ideas they find from other recipes. Don't worry, we're not judging your typing. All right. Okay. So hold on. So now it's click space. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead.
And compilations.
Cool.
How about. Okay, let me.
That's Fine. Yeah. Edit the sentence however you need to. Yeah. So now we're going to say. Yeah, go ahead and finish your sentence here. Awesome. Okay, so now keep. Yeah, go. Go to the end of the sentence there and let's keep typing here. We will use. Or just say this. Say this, I have an open A. API key for you, period. And that say, please make the entire page. And experience.
And experience.
Yep. And experience.
And experience.
Yeah, and. And experience on brand. With the guidance from the readme md.
That wrong. I did.
Yeah, you got it. You're good. That's perfect. Guidance from the readme md file.
Md file.
Yep. Period. Enter. Actually, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're going to see what it. We're going to see what it does here. So what it's going to do is it's going to get to work and it's going to create a new menu item and it's going to start building out a page and. And then we'll. It'll. It'll ask for the API key and then we'll. You will have a working. We'll have a working things here. So I want to see. So installed OpenAI, it might ask for AI or your OpenAI integration right now, which is fantastic. Let's request the OpenAI API key. That's what I wanted. Okay, perfect. So welcome to the Secrets Manager. This is something that will happen anytime it needs an API to do something. It will just stop and ask you. And it says, okay, here's what you need now, right here, it's saying, all right, where's your OpenAI key now? Because you told it you have an OpenAI API key, it's not telling you how to get it because it's like, oh, this person already knows. But if you didn't and it needed API and you could say also. And even if you said right now, where do I find this? Then it would tell you. Okay, but we don't need to do that since we already know. So now bounce back over to your. To the Safari. Yep. And click Copy right there. And then head back over to Chrome. And just click on that value spot right there. Here. Yep. And paste. Okay, now click the I key really quick. Sorry, no, right next to value. I just want to see that really quick. I just want you to. I just want to make sure that it was copied and. Right. Looks good to me. Click continue. Say add to account secrets. Yeah, so now it's tied to your account secrets. And by account, it means, you know, Kara or Kenzie, whoever's account this is. Right. It's now tied to that and it will allow you to use it in other apps that you create so you don't have to go grab that API key every single time you want to do something. Right now you can create a new project and say, you know what, I want to use a new Open API key. So open API key 2 or whatever you want to do it and you can tell it that. You can say, hey, I know I have an OpenAI key, but I want to use a separate one for this project. And it will say, great, here's a new secret. Boom. Open AI key, open API key 2. And then anytime it needs to use that in the project, it will just reference this and it has this beautiful nice thing. Now I'm going to skip like seven or eight or maybe like 17 or 18 steps ahead. Really quick here, guys. There are people that have built things with things like Replit or Lovable or Cursor or other automated agents where the API key was written in a way when they published the website that the API key was exposed to the public, it wasn't hashed properly, it wasn't stored properly. And that's not the end of the world other than the fact that you just put your credit card in and now you gave someone an unlimited budget to use your AI credits. Right? And so I saw a post the other day, I was like, I got $104bill from OpenAI because someone on my team left the AI key, the OpenAI key exposed. Okay, I will teach you how to deal with that later. But I just want you to know that when you throw API keys into something like this, you don't want to just willy nilly, you know, deploy it. And it's as simple as this. Guys, you're going to ask at some point when we're getting ready to really deploy this to the public, you're going to say, I need you to check the entire project and see if any of our API keys are exposed to the public. I need you to do a security audit and then it will go through and it will security audit and it'll tell you exactly. It'll say, hey, here's all the problems. Would you like me to fix it? Yes. Good, do it. Okay. And so you'll learn from that as you do it. And I have not had that problem. Right. Because I thought ahead and I had read some of those things and noticed it. And so I just, I knew it was something I needed to pay attention to from the beginning. So. So anyway, now this might take 10 minutes so we're going to go ahead and pause on your sharing right now. Kara, tell us when it's done. Okay. Or if some question comes up. If it comes up and says, hey, you know, like, I don't know what to do now. So we're going to turn off your sharing really quick and we're going to bounce over to Travis. We're going to do another API integration right now, and we might do. We might do two of them. All right. Land Deals AI. Love it. Okay. I'm sure you're going to have a cooler name for it eventually, but. Or maybe not. Maybe Land Deals is good. It's very descriptive. Okay, man, you've got some cool stuff going there. Oh, sorry. You're on mute.
Okay, There we go.
Okay.
Yeah, dude, I. I don't know if I want to change the name or not.
We.
We've been using another platform called landflip AI.
Yeah.
And that's been like our AI texting platform. So I was like, dude, do I want to keep it simple and do something like Land Deals AI Just so it's pretty straightforward.
Why not? Why the heck not? Have you looked to see If Land Deals AI is available on GoDaddy?
Yeah, it's available. It's like 50 bucks or something.
Yeah, that. You should do that. I. Yeah. So, guys, that's a fantastic branding discussion. Sometimes you just want it to say exactly what it does. The reason a lot of people choose, like, you know, Google is because search.com was gone. Right? Like, I guarantee you those Google founders would have chosen search.com had it been available. Although there's still good branding arguments around why that's a really, really good name and why other things are. The reality is, guys, doesn't matter if you call it Nike or Nike in half of the world that doesn't know how to pronounce it, still buy their shoes because their branding is good and they have a good product and they do good marketing and endorsements, and really, it's all because of Michael Jordan. But anyway, cool. Before we do anything, show us your platform. What you doing? What do you, like, take us. Take us on a tour. Okay.
I haven't done too much to it yet.
That's okay. I just.
I. I created these yesterday. At the top, these tabs kind of in the middle.
They're all. They're all, like, fun.
They're all. You can click on them. They're just not functional yet. I haven't put. I haven't put any information in there yet, but we've got at the top we've got like active leads, SMS responses and then deals in progress and then close deals. And then I thought this was kind of cool. The AI just completely created this. This is a deal pipeline. So lead generation, skip tracing, SMS outreach, and then negotiation and then closing. Yeah, I thought that's kind of cool. Just kind of keep all your leads organized. And then I thought this was really cool. So you can text the AI assistant and you can ask it like, hey, what's the status on the Florida deal? And then it'll, it'll give you a response and tell you like what the status is on the, on the deal. So I thought that was super cool.
And then down work yet? That doesn't work yet, right?
No, it does not.
All right, all right, that's fine.
And then down here we just have the calculator for the investors to see how profitable are they going to be on the deal.
Does this work?
I haven't tried it yet.
Try it right now. Just change something. Right now it's discount to market, 55% change any number and see if it changes. Yeah, it works. Oh cool. Okay, that's freaking cool.
That's pretty much it so far.
Yeah, I love it, man. Like you're not a developer. Look what you made, man. Like, this is cool. This is legit. Like I'm really excited about that. Okay, so right now we're going to work on, I think, SMS campaigns. Okay, so go ahead and just click on that tab. Now I know you said it yesterday, but I want you to say it all out loud again so that we all can hear. So I can hear? So you can say it out loud. What exactly is this SMS campaign going to do? Like, where is it pulling data from? Who is it calling? What's its purpose?
Okay, so it's going to be pulling data from the MLS and some of these off market programs like Propstream and Redfin. And it's gonna, it's gonna make a list of all these off market landowners and then it's gonna plug it into the, into the system and it's gonna send them a text individually.
What's the text gonna say? Is it gonna be, Are you trying, Let me ask just some strategy questions. You can teach us all about how to flip land here too. Are you trying to get, Are you trying to undercut them? Are you trying to get them to like do a cash now deal that, you know, makes them really good? I mean, well, what's the approach? What's the strategy?
It just kind of depends. Most of them we're trying to undercut them. We're trying to buy it at like 40 or 50% of what the market value is. And then, and we're buying it all cash. So then we'll buy cash and then we'll just list it on the market as soon as we close the deal. Okay, so that's what we're doing for the most part. We do a few cash deals where we'll buy it like 70 or 80%. But that's if my partner knows he wants to build on it, like if he's dropping a mobile home on it or if they have like a different plan for it, then they'll buy it.
At a higher price. But yeah, for the most part we're.
Buying at like 40 or 50% and then just flipping it.
Very cool. Very cool. So the reason I'm asking these questions is not just to learn and curiosity, but we have to teach the AI, like what it's supposed to be trying to do, right? You're going to have to, you're going to, you're going to spend some time probably in chat GPT. We won't do it right now, but you'll have to spend some time talking to chat GPT, telling it exactly what you're trying to do and saying, I need to make a really awesome prompt. Okay. And that prompt, by the way, could be a page long, right? It could be a thousand words, could be 500 words, it could be really long. And so explaining to it how it's supposed to go about this conversation, you know, be respectful, you know, but here's the parameters we're going for. Keep it really conversational, whatever. And you're have to test it. You have to try it out and test it and just kind of go back and forth with it. And by the way, you can test it without texting. You can test it by just talking to it, say, okay, I want to test it now and we're going to make our own chat GPT. I'm going to teach you guys how to make a chat GPT. Your own, your own. Sorry, your own GPT, right? That does what you want it to do and acts like you want it to act so that you can then plug it in somewhere. But basically we'll follow that kind of guideline and then, and then we'll plug it into, we'll plug it into Twilio. So am I going to have to.
Am I going to have to train the bots responses or do I just give it kind of a general no.
You just have to train it how it should act. Okay. Give it guidelines on how to speak. Right? Should I speak like a Gen Z or, or should I speak like, should I say your highness or should I say, you know, whatever? Right? Or should I just be like professional, kind of semi casual, like, you know, but, but making them feel really comfortable, you know, whatever. You're just gonna have to figure out how you. And this is again, just a guess and check type thing, right? Talk like this. All right, let's have a conversation. Let's pretend that I'm texting you back and forth about a property and then just start talking to it and see how it responds and see how it asks questions and okay, hey, don't ask 14 questions in a row, right? Like, make sure you ask at most two questions in a row and then, and then give a response and put an offer in front of them. Or, you know, go for a close and you know, whatever. Like you can, you're going to have to talk through it and figure out how that works and that's going to be something you're going to need to do on your own time. It's not that hard. But if you go back and watch this, you know, section of the video that we're recording here, you'll be able to say, okay, I know what to do here. And you know, but, but right now what we're going to do is we're just going to connect Twilio to this. So take me over to your Twilio console.
I had a question about this one with, am I doing with third party integration?
No, because we're going to say with code. With code. What do you want to build with? Let's say marketing. Yeah, sms. Sweet. Okay, so hold on, hold on. Go up, get a phone number. Take a trial phone number. Yeah, so let's go ahead and, and do that. Get a phone number. Right there. See that? Yeah. Okay. Trial phone number. Is this. Okay, just, just click the tutorial. That's fine. Let's do it. You're about to assign your existing trial phone number to a new messaging service. Okay, that's fine. And now we're going to try it out. So this might require. Okay, so from this message, click send to personal number up there at the top. Yeah, right there. Yeah. So then go ahead and just put your phone number in. Yeah, one. And then whatever your number is, Is it not erasing?
My Siri keeps coming up.
Oh, there we go. Okay.
Yeah, it's not erasing.
Yeah, that's weird. I don't know. Why? It's not erasing. That's okay. That's okay. Go back to Send a virtual phone. It's fine. And then just click Send an sms. Just. Just try it. I don't know where the virtual phone is. I don't know how you're gonna see it. Okay, great. Reset. Okay, that's fine. Yeah. Click next at the bottom, like. Okay, I've only. I'll actually scroll up. Scroll up. Sorry. Click on the virtual phone right there. There you go. Oh, okay. Okay.
So that's the. That's the text I got right there.
Yeah, yeah, that's. That's what it would have sent you. So sent delivery. Perfect. Okay, great. Okay, so go ahead and scroll down. Click Next. It's just. I don't know. Whatever. All right, go ahead and call this whatever you want to call it. So land. Land deals. AI. Just call it Land deals. Just call that. Don't even do AI, Just save. Yeah, that's perfect. Great. Go ahead and scroll down. Yeah, we'll mess with the API stuff in a minute. Next. Okay, you're on the current plan. Hold on. Go up really quick. Go up really quick. I need to see if we need to pay for this flexible usage base. Send to unlimited $15 credit testing with up to 5 verified recipients, limited configurations. It's probably okay. What I did when I set it up is I just added a payment method. It's not charging you right now, but if you add a payment method, then it might open up a few more options. And if you get charged, you know, $0.07 and you're testing, who cares, right? Okay, so you can. You can do that. Let's go ahead and go down and let's try to just set it up. So go ahead and scroll down all the way to. Let's see, where the heck is the next. Like, oh, here's the things. Send unlimited recipients verified toll number. Go up again. We're good. Okay, click on Continue building. Can you click on Continue building Up in the very, very top. Right, like, way. Way at the top. Continue building, like, above this whole thing. Yeah, right there. Okay. Yeah, just click close in the top. Right. Right there. Yeah. Okay, we're done with your tour. That's fantastic. All right, go and scroll down. So this is an SID and an off token. These are going to be the things that you're going to want. So don't show that yet. Yeah, just hide that right now. It's fine. Let's go back to replit now. Okay. And we're going to say, let's Set up the SMS campaigns. I want to integrate a Twilio API. Sorry, Twilio? Yeah. TWI API. Yep. All right. Just. Yeah, just go send. Okay, so now it's going to ask probably for the information that was on that Twilio console. I've actually never set up a Twilio one. I've set up SendGrid. SendGrid is the email version of Twilio. It's made by Twilio and so it's almost identical, I'm sure, in terms of the setup. So that's what I'm assuming is what you're going to need first. I'm going to need this. Great. Okay, great. Install the Twilio package. I love it. Like, Russ, what if you set up automated texts now, Russ might be on the phone right now. It's fine, but. Oh, there we go. Okay, here we go. Twilio account, Auth and phone number. Perfect. Hold on. We can't quite see. What I want you to do is I want you to grab the. Oh, yeah. Account sid, the Auth token and the phone number. Perfect. So go back to the Twilio console. Those are the three things that were available there for you. See? So go ahead and just start with the sid and copy the top one right there. Yep. Just copy. Head back, scroll down. Paste that in the first one. Perfect. Now go back to Twilio console. Copy that Auth token and just keep going. Fill in these three. These three things here. Amazing. Paste, continue and then click add to account secrets. Awesome. All right, now go back up to Twilio console. Click on the toll free. Yeah. Verification require. What is. What is that? Click on that. I just want to know what that is. Oh, I.
When I was setting up my account, I chose it as a, like, for a business.
Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Do you have a legal entity name and all that stuff? Fill it all in if you need to. Okay. And then put in. And then enter in your phone number for that phone number at the end. There it.
Awesome.
Yeah. Just throw in your phone number and continue. Fill in your address and all that stuff. There you go. Perfect. Continue. Just fill all this stuff out. It's just going to take a second. Yeah. How many text messages per month? It's not going to hold you to it. It's literally just like, oh, okay. Yeah. If it changes later, it doesn't matter at all. Via text. Marketing. So, yeah. And you don't even have to get super, you know, specific on some of this stuff. But one of the things that you do need to look at here. Is this proof of consent? Look at there, at the top. Right, right. So proof of consent, opt in collected. Like what is the URL of a website or document? Or what is the consent going to look like for this? So here's what we're going to do. We're gonna. Guys, I'm gonna teach you some cool stuff really quick. This is gonna be awesome. So right now you're going to. I want you to open. Do you have like Google Drive? Yeah, just open Google Drive. Yeah, just click on that. Open it up. And now click New on the top left and create a new just word. Like a document. Google Docs right there. Perfect. We're going to call this document. Just go ahead and title it SMS Consent. Top left there. Yeah, go ahead and click on that. You have to click on the title up in the top left there where it says untitled Document way up at the top left. Yeah, just click there. Okay, good. It always will take the first line that you type. Okay, awesome. Now I want you to go to chat GPT. Just open up your chat GPT and. Okay, is this your. Is this your paid one?
Yeah, it is.
Okay, perfect. Open up your project. So open up on the side there. Click on your land flip AI Official. There you go. Now new chat in this project right there. And then say I need a. I need you to write an SMS consent document to use for Twilio. To use for Twilio. Yeah. All right. And then say I go period. Next. And then. The name of my llc is.
Am I maxed out?
No way. I don't know what happened there. Dingy Hold Coming llc. And then. And we're based in Mesa, Arizona. Don't include any URL. Okay. Period. And send. Okay, now while this is thinking for okay, this is kind of cool. Sometimes it gives you two different. Yeah, I like the left one, by the way. Not disclosure. I want the consent agreement. Consent. Yeah, this is perfect. This is perfect. It's making two options for you, which is pretty cool. URL. Okay, period. And then. Okay, now while this is thinking for okay, this is kind of cool. Sometimes it gives you two different. Yeah, I like the left one, by the way. Not disclosure. I want the consent agreement. All right, now you're going to go ahead and click on the left one because I like it better. You'll have to probably scroll at the bottom of this to select that. Yeah, I prefer this response. Great. I go ahead and copy that whole thing. Not that. Yeah, just to write there. Perfect. Just click copy and then head back to the Google Drive thing. And then just delete that and save. Paste. Yeah, go ahead and go to the top. Delete your top title there. That's perfect. And then now go over to File on the far left, right up there. And I want you to go to Share. Publish to web. Okay. Okay. And then a link is great. Click Publish. Okay, awesome. Go ahead and copy that. Awesome. Now just open a new tab on your browser and paste that link so you can see what it looks like. That didn't work. Yeah, copy that. There we go. Try again. There we go. Enter.
Awesome.
Pretty cool, huh? So you just made. You know, obviously you're going to want to update this better in the future and you put it somewhere more officially, but for right now, this is going to work. Okay, so go ahead and scroll down really quick. I just want to look at. I want to make sure there's nothing. Yeah, this is good. This is good. All right. Go back to replit or not. Twilio. Sorry. Twilio. We're setting up Twilio right now. Paste it right there. Okay.
Is that just a law you have to follow? You just have to have like a consent form published?
Yeah. And if I were you, I'd do some research with it. All right. Before you start just blasting everybody, like, you can do it and a lot of people just do it, you know? You know that because you all have phones, right? But if someone reports you, you could. You could potentially get a fine or something like that. So just make sure you're following the right laws and if, you know, and then you take your own risks as you see fit. If it were me, I would probably just go for it, Right. At least initially. I just try it with a hundred people and be like, yeah, you know, I don't know. But that's just me. I. I'm more of an ask for forgiveness figured out later type approach. And, you know, I. I'm not advocating for that in any way, shape or form, but. Okay, and then, yeah, throw a sample message in there. Hey, Charlie, I'm interested in your property or whatever. I don't know. Yeah, you got it. You know what you're doing here? All right, we're done. I agreed terms of service, by the way. You should read those at some point. Send information for verification. Send. Okay, so now it's going to potentially add emergency address. That's weird. See addresses. Yeah, just add it. Right? Just listen to all of its little warnings. If you see red things, guys typically just do it really quick. All right, so, yeah, just set up what is.
What does it mean, like an emergency address?
Like a.
Like an actual My street address or.
Yeah, probably the same address as your business or whatever. Yeah, yeah, just throw that in. Physical dress used for emergency calling. Yeah, I mean, I guess it's. If you call. I think what it is. Like. Like AT and T makes me do this, too. You have to set up your. Your address. And I think it's. If you call from this number to 911 and they're not able to verify, like, what's going on, maybe you don't have an address. I don't know. I don't know what's going on here. I'm not sure why it's. Why it's not. Oh, there we go. You have to create an address. There it is. Did you see that? Click, click add address. Yeah, click that again. The ad Emergency address. No, not right there. Yeah, yeah, there you go. And then click, create an address.
Oh, okay.
Yep, there you go. So call it primary. Primary address or whatever you want to call it. But yeah, I think it's. If you call 911 from that number and they can't, you know, you're like, I can't talk right now. Oh, I have to go. They hang up. Then they're going to send it. They're going to dispatch somebody to whatever this address is. That's the purpose of it. You're never, ever, ever, ever going to use it. So it doesn't matter, but you got to fill it out.
Okay, and then what is. What should I put for address? Friendly name.
I don't know. What does it say different? Okay, yeah, I don't know. Just call it primary. I don't know. Yeah, and then. Yeah, there you go. You're done. All right, I declare this works. And create address. Create address. And add. Okay, check it out. Wait. Accept that. Accept the emergency calling terms, conditions. See that? So ridiculous. Yes, I accept. Sweet. It looks like all of your stuff was accepted. And you know what probably happened, guys? I bet you AI read that document. That's how it was accepted that fast. That's the only way that their system could have accepted it that fast. I read the document that you used AI to create and make a quick, temporary document. Boom. You're past all. All of your setup for that. I hope you guys just. I know that was kind of a little bit tedious, but I hope you guys just learned again. Check it out. Accept that. Accept the emergency calling terms and conditions. See that? So ridiculous. Yes, I accept. Sweet. It looks like all of your stuff was Accepted. And you know what probably happened, guys? I bet you AI, this is another way of just thinking about how can I get something done so fast? Because a lot of people would run into that and be like, oh, my gosh, I don't know how to do this. Like, this could take forever. I can't write the kind of document. I need a lawyer. Who do I call? Like, what do I do? Like, no, make AI do it really quick. Know a couple cool tricks like I just did to be able to publish a document to the web really fast. And you're in. Right? So read that document. That's how it was accepted that fast. That's the only way that their system could have accepted it that fast. AI read the document that you used AI to create and make a quick, temporary document. Boom. You're past all. All of your setup for that. I hope you guys just. I know that was kind of a little bit tedious, but I hope you guys just learned again. Anyway, I thought. I think that's. I think that was fun. All right, now let's bounce back to Replit, see how it's doing. Okay, click on SMS campaigns. Okay, perfect. Let's see what's going on here. We're gonna need. We're gonna need. Yeah. Click Add a database down in the top. In the bottom left. Before we. Before we do this, we need. We need to get you. This is another way of just thinking about how can I get something done so fast? Because a lot of people would run into that and be like, oh, my gosh, I don't know how to do this. Like, this is going to take forever. I can't write that kind of document. I need a lawyer. Who do I call? What do I do? No, make AI do it really quick. Know a couple cool tricks like I just did to be able to publish a document to the web really fast. And you're in. Right. So how about your database setup? So let's. Let's let it do that. Nice. Okay, while this is going, let's make sure it did it right. Go ahead and go to the. To the plus button. Anyway, I thought. I think that's. I think that was fun. All right, now let's bounce back to Replit, see how it's doing to add a new tab over there on. On Replit, over to the right. Okay. Click on SMS campaigns. Okay, perfect. Let's see what's going on here. We're gonna need. We're gonna need. Yeah. Click Add a database down in the top. In the bottom left. Before we before we do this, we need to get you. Right. Yeah, right there. And then click database down a little bit more. Right there. Yeah, we're going database setup. So let's let it do that. It's doing the right thing. So now what it's doing, guys, this is very, very important. I know we started to talk about this yesterday a little bit, but databases, what it's doing right here. Nice. Okay, while this is going, let's make sure it did it right. Go ahead and go to the. To the plus button to add a new tab over there on. On replit. Over to the right here is. It's replacing what's called MEM storage or memory storage with. With a real actual database. So I'm right. Yeah, right there. And then click database. Said the word yesterday. Hard coded. So you have. Remember we talked about front end versus back end yesterday. When something is hard coded, it could be really in the front of the back end. But a lot of times what you're doing here is it's going to hard code down a little bit more right there. Yeah, we're going. It's doing the right thing. So now what it's doing, guys, this is very, very important. I know we started to talk about this yesterday a little bit, but databases, what it's doing right here, with a bunch of fake data, like your entire dashboard that you see right now, Travis, on your cool website, your amazing website is actually all hard coded fake data, right? It's replacing what's called MEM storage or memory storage with none of it's real. And so because of that, it's not really going to save. You can't actually log in with a real actual database. So maybe you did create a login, right? Did you create a login for yourself? You said the word yesterday. Hard coded. So you have. Remember we talked about front end versus back end yesterday. When something is hard coded, it could be really in the front of the back end. But a lot of times what you're doing here is it's going to hardcode for just to log into your own website to land deals. AI.
Oh no.
A bunch of fake data like your entire dashboard that you see right now, Travis.
Oh, no, I haven't.
Okay, you didn't.
Yeah.
So if you had, what it would have done is it would have access on your cool website. Your amazing website is actually all hard coded fake data, Right. None of it's real. And so because of that, it's not really going to save. You can't actually log in. Like maybe you did Create a login. Right. Did you create a login for yourself? The login works, but then when you click Refresh and it restarts or it makes a change and restarts it and you log in again, it wouldn't recognize your password. Why? Because it faked it. It made it look like it was doing it. So the data for just to log into your own website to land deals. AI.
Oh, no, No, I haven't.
Okay, you didn't. Yeah. So if you had, what it would have done is it would have acted like the login works. But then when you click refresh and it restarts, or it makes a change and restarts it and you log in again, it wouldn't recognize your password. Why? Because it faked it. It made it look like it was doing it. So the database is actually going to hold data replit is going to do. It's going to take the shortest pathway to the best result. Now, you can tell it from your very, very first instruction. When you're starting a new project, create a database, a PostgreSQL database here in repl.it for this project. Right from the beginning. Right. Don't use a fake thing. Right now it's using something called MEM storage and memory storage. It only persists during that session. The second you close the browser, turn off your phone, refresh the page, whatever, that session is over, that session is done. And so all of your data, all of your things, everything you typed in and saved wouldn't work. But if you use a database, everything you're doing will persist through sessions. That's called data persistency. It will persist all the way through everything that you're doing. So that's really, really critical. You got to set up a database, Doug. I don't know if you've done that. I want to ask you actually right now. You worked a long time. Did you set up a database? No, I did not. That's database is actually going to hold data. Okay. Replit is going to do okay. The cool thing is, even if you created a bunch of stuff that's stuck in MEM storage or that was built in MEM storage, when it creates a database, you can say, great, please create a database and migrate everything over to it. Right. It'll. It'll populate everything you've built into the database. Nice. And you know really nicely. So your database is going to be critical for you. You have tons of interviews and usernames and videos and things that have to be assigned to specific users and parts of the database. You got to do that right now. While this is, this is going to take a minute, Travis, I'm going to have you stop sharing. I want Doug to share screen really quick. And we're going to walk through that and make sure that we can just get that, get that started. Right. So go ahead and share your screen, Doug. All right. Looking awesome. Okay, what I want to see here is I want you to go, by the way, you have four web view tabs open. I don't know if you know that. You see that? Yeah, yeah. So you don't need them all open. You only need one. Just close out of the other three and then click the little plus button and click database. Towards the bottom there. There you go. You do have a database. So this is one of those cases where it figured it out. It said, all right, we're going to need to keep this as in the database. So that's really, really good news. Click. Go ahead and click see my data. So right here is where you're able to, you know, kind of see what's going on. It looks like you have three user IDs set up already. You've got. Or candidates, I guess you've got evaluation, evaluator, assignment, hiring cycle. You can click on any of these things. Yeah, go ahead and scroll over. Go ahead and scroll over on that and see what kind of information is there. Right. Notes, Position preference, hiring cycle. What are the other things they're looking at? So it's looking at other tables with those. When you see a little link that's, that's, that's looking at other, other things. So go ahead and click on evaluator assignment. Yeah. And then scroll over. It's good for you to go through and read your database and understand what are all the tables. Because then you're like, okay, that's, that's how it's organizing this information. And this just takes time to just look at and kind of start to understand. It was assigned by who? Oh, it's assigned by one. Well, what does one mean? Oh, evaluator, user ID or what? You know, you have to figure out where all of these things are pointing to. Right. By the way, sometimes it will create a table with. It's pointing to something that doesn't exist. Right. And it will figure that out later when you ask it to do something related to that. But anyway, in the beginning, you just want to kind of figure out what's going on and you need to think about, okay, I've got this table, this table, this table. If you end up with 25 tables, guys, you're doing it wrong. You should usually not have more than about 10 tables, maybe 15. But if you're starting to get into 20, 30 tables, like, it's too complicated unless you start taking what's called a microservices approach. And that's something we're not going to get into in this course. But microservices basically is taking your entire app that does 10 things and creating 10 mini apps that all talk to each other, right? And that becomes very, very efficient in terms of server usage and scalability and all that stuff. Because you can then, like, instead of having to scale, like maybe out of your 10 things, only one item really needs to scale to be super powerful, right? Instead of having to pay to get your entire project expanded, you can have a bunch of little mini things that cost almost nothing and then one thing that expands really big. And so from an efficiency, a speed, and a cost perspective, microservices are awesome. That's all I'll say on that for now. But you can. And by the way, you can ask replit, hey, how could I refactor this into a microservice thing? Or if you don't know how to even say that sentence, ask Chat GPT about it. See what it thinks. See if. See if it's even possible to do this. I'm gonna teach you guys something pretty cool here. We're gonna do this right now. Go ahead and click the. So, so go over, back over to the agent and go to the. Click the little plus button above, up above that. And then I want you to open the assistant right there. So the assistant, guys, is, you know, all kinds of cool stuff. The warning, the assistant works best for users comfortable with file management. Basic troubleshooting. Cool. So this is where you. So the agent costs 25 cents per, you know, per deployment, kind of per, you know, rollback or whatever. Per checkpoint. The assistant costs 5 cents. It's a little bit cheaper, but it's doing micro tasks. If you say, hey, I need to move this button to here, right? Then you would do that, right? But anyway, scroll down and you see right there. Not scroll down, but move your cursor down. You see where it says advanced right there, right to the left. Yes, click on that. And now you've got advanced $0.05 per edit request using Claude 3.5 Sonnet V2. Awesome. Or basic ask questions with GPT4. Oh, Mini. Now you're. You've got ChatGPT right here. So go ahead and click that basic thing and then go ahead and ask it. This will be a free. A free request. And all I want you to say is, is it possible or does this. Does it make sense to refactor this project into a microservices architecture? So go ahead and type that. Does it make sense to refactor this project into a microservices architecture? You're just spelling my spelling. It'll understand what you mean, even if you get it mostly right. Question mark, enter. Awesome. Now you're not writing code. You're not even spending any money, really. Right. So. So go ahead and scroll up to the top here. Or maybe it's doing that. Maybe it's doing that for you. Yeah, go ahead and go all the way up top. Refactoring your project in microservices can make sense under several conditions, especially if you're dealing with growing complexity or scalability needs. Here's some points to consider. So you're going to read this stuff, guys, right? And so it says exactly. For example, you might want to scale your video submission processing separately from the user authentication service. Makes sense. Okay, so this is something that you would consider, Doug, if the church is like, can we use this, like, globally? Like, you know, can we expand this to all of Utah or whatever? We want to do a bigger test. Maybe you say, okay, maybe I need to do this. The reality is, for what you're doing, you might not ever need to do it for what. For what you're doing. But if you were going to all of a sudden have, you know, a million submissions a month, you know, or something, even 100,000 submissions a month, it might make sense. It might make sense to do that. So the bottom line is it turns your project into 10 mini projects and can be quite efficient. You can even from the beginning, by the way, guys, from the very, very beginning, you can. You can tell it to. To do this, you know, the right way. You can tell it to do it with the microservices. If you think and know, it's going to be really, really crazy from the beginning. But anyway, that's all I wanted to share there. Looks like you are using an agent. I'm sorry, you are using a database properly. You now know how to use the assistant at least a little bit. You know how to Change it from ChatGPT, by the way, Chat GPT can't write any code here inside of this. If you want to write code with the assistant, you're going to have to click on that thing and switch it back to Claude. Okay, I want you to do one more Thing I want to see something. I want you to go up to the top right where it says dw very, very top right your profile here and click Prof. Or Account. Click Account. And then I want you to scroll down until we find roles, referrals, preferences, role. Okay, hold up. Okay, I want you to turn on that little toggle for Explorer. I want everybody to do this. Okay. What Explorer does is it puts you at the very, very forefront of everything that replit can do. It's going to give you more powerful AI tools. It's going to try things a little bit differently. But I keep Explorer on and I find that my replit is just awesome. They don't push things into Explorer until it's like really Quite stable, like 95% stable. You might occasionally run into something where it's like the agent hit an error restart. Okay, whatever. But other than that, Explorer is going to make sure that the latest and greatest models and features and things that they're doing are available here. And in fact, no, no, because Kara's. Oh, you know what Kara was using. This is cool. This is cool. Go back to your project now. So yeah, way over on the left. Yeah, just go down to Apps there and then click on Teacher evaluation Portal. Yeah, right there. Okay, great. Next, next, Next. Or X. Yeah, get out of that. And then go back to Agent. That's interesting. I wondered if. And it's possible. Go ahead and click Refresh just on the whole browser. It's way up there. Yeah. Okay, cool. Did you start a new chat, by the way? Did you like have it update the progress MD and start a new chat?
I did.
Okay. I wonder if you do that again if the element selector will show up. I'm just curious. I don't know if it will. Anyway, you can try playing with that because I'm not seeing the element selector. We looked at Kara's screen and Kara's had it, but I had Kenzie turn that on a couple weeks ago when she did it. And so I wondered if it's associated if that element selector is really still a brand new feature that's only available in Explorer mode. So it's possible. Might take a minute to, you know, a new chat to. To open that up. Okay, Travis, how are we coming over there?
I'm getting. I'm getting an error.
That's okay, go ahead and share. Let's work. Let's work on it. Part of today, guys, is, is figuring out how to push through replit's riplets quirks. Okay, there we go. Nice. Okay, go Ahead and resize your chat thing there so that we can see. So it's more reasonable. Yeah, there we go. It doesn't have to be super far. Oops. Yeah, I think you accidentally. Is there a little. See that little arrow right there just to the left of your cursor? Yeah. Click that. See if you can click that. Maybe not. Where did the agent go? I forgot how to do this. Let me play on my. My thing really quick and figure out how to. Add pain. Yeah, so go ahead. And over in the top right of your screen, there's three dots right on top of each other. Right there. Yep. Click that. Yep. And then click Add pane. And then say insert left. Okay, we're back. Now click on Agent. Yeah, just right there. There you go. Sweet. Okay, this is great. So now go ahead and click refresh on the. On the browser. Right there. Yeah, yeah, exactly right there. Okay, now what I want you to do is I want you to go ahead and. Do you know how to do a screenshot of a part of a screen? Are you on a Mac or on Windows? I'm on Mac. Sweet. So you're going to go shift command four. Okay. Then that brings up a little cursor. Now go up to the top left of this thing and then just kind of drag and select it. No, no, no, sorry. Right. Right where the error is. Yeah, yeah, up higher at the end. Right there. And just select the error, basically. Yep, all the way down. All the way down to the bottom of the black. Yep, right there. Perfect. Okay, let go. Then grab it and drag it into the chat. Yeah, that tool right there. Guys, it's okay if my face is there. I know that's not ideal, but whatever. Go ahead and say I'm getting this error on the SMS Dash Campaigns page. Actually, no, you didn't do that. Just push enter. Just push Enter. No, it can read it, it can see. It says a Home Runner workspace client SRS page. You know, source pages. It sees all that stuff already.
Very.
Okay, so it'll just fix it. Guys, what I just did right there, what I just had Travis do, is screenshot an error. Drop it in. Right. Sometimes it needs an explanation, but I do that all the time. I just select drag in. This is what's happening when I do this. Boom. Or I got this when I clicked on this. Right. So it's going to fix these things really, really quickly. When you. When you just. If you just drop errors into it and say, hey, I'm. I'm. I see this error. Okay, great. We'll take care of it. I. That is one of my tips and tricks that we'll go over. We're going to go over a tips and tricks document today for replit. That is one of. The. Looks like it's working now. The SMS campaigns thing is working. So that's cool. So go ahead and click Create Campaign. I'm just curious what it does. Create Campaign. To reach out to property owners via sms. You're going to create a campaign name, the description template, message status, draft. Go ahead and just type in like 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1-2-3. Just like, don't even worry about what you're putting in. Just see if it works and status active. Create campaign. Okay, awesome. So what I want you to do is I want you to click refresh now on the. On the browser there. Yeah, I want to see if it actually did create a campaign.
You don't have any SMS campaigns yet.
Yep. Okay, so talk to the agent. Yep. And say, I just tried to create a campaign. It said it created successfully, but it's not showing up on the SMS campaigns page. So I tried to create a campaign says it created successfully. It's not showing up. Good. Now click Enter. Now while it's trying to figure it out, I want you to go over to the. Open a new little tab on the. On the right side there. Yeah, right there. And then click Database. And then quick, see my data? Now there should be. Yeah, there's SMS campaigns. So go ahead and click on SMS campaigns. Ha. Right there. 1, 2, 3. There's your. There's your thing. So that means the database is working. Right. And so you're trying to kind of debug it while it's trying to debug it. And it's like, oh, hey, it's there. Oh, so now it's going to discover. I think right now it looks like it was created in the database. That means we're just not properly. We don't have the API connected properly to display it on the SMS campaigns page, Right?
Oh, yeah.
Okay. Do what I mean, so now you know you've kind of already identified the problem. You're like, oh, yeah, it did create. I got a message that it created successfully. That probably means it did something right. Let's look at the database and see if there's a table for SMS campaigns. There is. Awesome. Great. All right, so anyway, go back to webview and we'll just chill and wait for it. But so, so this is, this is what you're going to be doing now, Travis. You're going to be you. You've set up Twilio, you integrated the API. It works. Now if you were to send a message, like, you could, you could say, hey, create a button where I can just send a text message to anyone from my Twilio account. And then you could, you could, you know, just send yourself a text message and you could try it, see if it actually works. Okay, but you've now properly set it up and it works. Probably. It probably works. I'm pretty sure it does because of how you set it up. But now you have to. This is where I can't do anything for you here. You're going to have to think through, well, what exactly do I want this to do? It's creating a campaign. But creating a campaign for what? You haven't really told it what to do. Right. Like, for example, when we created a campaign, did we select any targets? Nope. So you need to, you need a target list, right? You need to be able to upload an Excel document with a bunch of phone numbers. Or you need to be able to have it pull from an API and load it into the database into a table and say, okay, pull from this table, from this list. Let's create a new list. Here's all these numbers. So you have to think about where is it going to point, where is it going to pull from, what's it going to do? And literally just tell Replit what you want it to do. You say, I have a list of phone numbers or I have this, I have a, you know, I have an API from MLS or something like that. By the way, is there an MLS API? I have to imagine there's an MLS API.
I think you, I don't think there's a public one. I think you have to request access to it.
Well, you might have to pay for it, but open a new tab in Google really quick and just search for MLS API. Okay, go down APIs, bridge lists and profit allowance brokers and developers to access MLS listing data via a modern RESTful API, click on Zillow Group. That's interesting. Yeah, Zillow pulls information directly from, from mls. Yeah, yeah. The question is, yeah, go and go down. Yeah, you have to request access. So it has to. There has to be a reason why you'd be willing to do it. Go ahead and click back. So what I just saw, there was a Reddit click. See that Reddit right there? Like, oh, yeah, okay. Reddit is brilliant, guys. I'm just taking you through the product. Like, I don't know how to do everything. I just don't. Right. But I know how to go look for it. And this is what I'm going to be doing. I'm going to go and say, all right, MLS API. Is there one? Yeah. Okay, it looks like Zillow's got one, but you got to ask for it. Well, is there another one? And I'd scroll down here until I find something that's just awesome. So, yeah, they say they won't even let you look at this top. This, the top comment. Right. They won't let you scrape. Even if you have a subscription to the local mls, you can export data. Right. So it depends on what you mean. Right, so. So you're going to have to figure out your workflow. Maybe you can look something up, export it all, and then. And then create a function in your app that just imports an Excel document or a CSV document. Okay.
Right.
So you're just going to figure out what that is and talk to repl it and say, okay, I've got all this now, but now you have a Twilio. Like, your system can text anybody. You set up a campaign for it to text. It can do it now. You just got to teach it how to do it. All right, bounce over to Webview. Go click on SMS campaigns Loading campaigns. All right, so, all right, hold on, let's see. I'm investigating the issue, creating campaigns. I've added some debugging code to track what's happening. Please try creating another SMS campaign with these details. Okay. Yeah, do it. So click Create Campaign on the right. Just do what it says. Right. Test campaign space. 1, 2, 3. And you can obviously just copy paste back and forth if you want. Yeah, this is a test. Super easy. There we go. That is active Create Campaign. Okay, say I just created that campaign. Still not seeing anything. And don't. Don't click Enter yet.
Does it take a second to load sometimes?
No, no. I want you to use the element selector here. Remember that element selector down there on the left? Right where you were just typing? Just to the right of it. Yeah. Click that. Yep. And then. Yeah, move your mouse back over. Over where it says you don't have any SMS campaigns yet. Yeah, that. That box right there. Click that. Perfect. And then click Send. So now you've said, look, I don't. It's not showing up here. And this is where it's saying, I don't have any campaigns yet.
Oh, okay.
So that it just kind of directs the AI to.
Yeah, so now it knows exactly where it's looking. It's not trying to search your entire project. It's like, oh, I'm looking right here at this page, at this element moment. Oh, okay. Talking about, you know, so sometimes it's just as simple as that. Why is it saying installed sendgrid mail? Why? What the f is it saying here? See the issue according to console on Canvas data and it's coming back empty objects have been raved because problem let's fix the way we're betting handled campaign. Oh yeah, well there you go. That'll fix it. So you'll learn things, guys, strings and arrays and if you don't know what it is or an object. An object or whatever it is, you'll. You'll start to learn what some of those things are. And if you don't know what they are, just Google it, chatgpt it, grock it, whatever. Okay. Definitely being saved in the database client side. You see now it figured out what we already figured out. It's ridiculous that that element selector is super helpful. Doug, is that still not showing up for you? Oh, Doug might have stepped away or maybe. Yeah, still not there. Yeah, it's super weird and I can't tell you why. I literally have no idea why. Because Travis hasn't set up his Explorer mode yet. So I don't. I don't know why. And it shows up on some of my projects and on a couple of them it doesn't. So I'm sorry that it's not showing up for you right this moment. Maybe it just requires turning it all off and logging back in and resetting your computer. I don't know. I'm not sure. I have not been able to identify the problem yet. I'm going to ask them when I'm on the phone with them on Friday and when I find out that answer, I will post about it in the Facebook group, which, by the way, guys, let me send you guys the Facebook group. Let me find that right now. While we're waiting for Travis's thing, we might as well just do a. Some housekeeping here. See here the business with AI copy, you will have to request access. And all you do, just go in there and click, you know, open it on Facebook and click request access. But I'm going to go ahead and whoops, I'm not going to share. I keep clicking share. I mean to click chat pastes. Okay, so I just shared it to you. I will send this in an email at the end of the course if you don't want to do it right now. But while we're sitting here waiting. You can click on that and you know, join. Request to join the group and I'll let you guys in. So. But anyway, I want to see this, I want to see this through to, to finish on this part. API to add more debugging. Modify the code function to add more log. Why is it adding more logging now it's more type definitions to avoid implicit any type of campaigns. Right now let's fix TypeScript issues with parameter target mapping. Okay, well, that has to be fixed or it won't work. Client pages. Okay, so it's by testing the application took a screenshot. All right, go and click refresh. Okay. Go ahead and type into it and say it is still not showing up here. Don't. Okay, yeah, it is still not showing up here, Period. Then say this should be very easy, Period. Don't complicate it. The campaigns are saving in the database. Make them show up on the SMS campaigns page where they should, Period. Stop making debugging tools. Sometimes it just gets stuck and you're like, stop doing that. All right, go ahead and click Enter. So this is back to what I was talking about yesterday a little bit, guys. You're a conductor. You're the, you know, you're the conductor at the. In front of an orchestra. And you just have to make sure that, you know, one of your players isn't going way off to the side. Right. You're right. Let's simply solve this issue. Hey.
Hey, John. Along those lines.
Yeah. I'm.
I'm dealing with something a little bit similar to that and I just, I. It might be helpful for everyone.
I've.
I've input a prompt three different times now. And when I put it in, it's grayed out. And then I'm waiting for it to process that.
Yeah.
And. And it doesn't tell me anything. It's just like sitting and, and if I come over and I like mouse over, eventually I'll get a little modal that pops up and says the agent is wrapping up its current step and will respond shortly. And like, besides the thing that I told it to do, it's not. It shouldn't be doing anything else. Right?
Yeah. Yeah. So let's. I want you to share your screen. This is a pretty easy fix. Okay, Travis, we'll come back to you in a second. Tell us if it, if it works. In the meantime, the next step, Travis, if it still doesn't do it, I'm going to say rewrite the SMS campaign page. Rewrite the entire page completely. And it'll just. Yeah, it'll do it properly. And you'll say. You'll give an instruction to say something like, rewrite the entire page and do it properly so that it pulls from the database. Okay. All right. Yeah. So right here, what you've experienced, Russ, is the agent is basically crashed. And so you have to do is you just have to refresh the whole page.
That's what I thought.
Yep. You refresh it, the UI is gone, and it's just kind of like, I don't know what's happening. Right. And it's actually that the agent is paused, and it won't resume until you actually make it resume. See how it says resume now? See that? So what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and just. I want you to copy what you already wrote or just paste it again, I guess, unless you maybe you already have it copied. Yeah. And then just push enter and that should. That should resume. Yeah, There you go. Boom. You're. You're back in business. Super easy. But sometimes it just happens. It's part of life with, you know, anything robots. It just breaks. And. And life is rope, you know, especially when it's writing, like, 45, 000 lines of code in a weekend, you know, gets confused occasionally. Right. But anyway, so there you go. You're back in business.
Okay, awesome.
Thanks. Yep, no problem. Yeah, this is awesome, guys. This is super helpful. Like, this is really, really, like, hands on. Like, it's not working. Why is it not working? How do I do this piece? All right, it is 10:56. We're two hours in, guys. I'm going to pause for about 43 seconds and do a quick bathroom break, and then we'll come back in here and let's do some image stuff. Let's kind of take a break from all this hardcore coding and do some. Let's do some logo creation, some brand creation. Okay. All right, give me. How's that coming, Travis?
Okay, good, good.
Let me. Let me share with you real quick. So, yeah, it's all. It's showing up.
So I love that. Look how cool that is, man. Like, so now. Now the question is, what happens if you click on that? What if you click on, like, rural Arizona landowners? Yeah. Click View details. Yeah, there you go.
Nothing.
Yeah, perfect. So now you're going to say, all right, View Details does nothing. Now, here's the problem. What is it supposed to do? Right. Right now it's like it's created this thing, but what is it actually? Right, so you have to say, okay, how do I set. This would be my next. If it were me, I would say, what is, or how do we set up my target lists? I need to be able to upload, you know, phone numbers and names and, you know, property information. Right. And, and I want you to take a second and, and think about what are all the things I need to be able to upload. It's going to need probably an address. That address is going to have the address itself, the state, the city. You're gonna, you're gonna give. It needs a first and last name, probably it needs a phone number. And that number needs to be, you know, 10, 10 digits, whatever. I, I, you know, so you think through those things because you have to think through. All right, if I'm going to have it send an automated text message for me to a landowner in Houston, Texas, maybe you don't want to say, hey, are you still the owner of this property at this address in Houston, Texas? 77479? I used to live in Houston. So that's actually a real zip code. But you probably don't want it to be that specific. You probably want it to have an individual in the database, an individual line for just the city. Right, Houston. And then have it be more casual about it, like, hey, do you still own that property in Houston? On so and so Drive, Right. And so if you have your data separated like that, then you can ask the AI to be very conversational in how it asks for it and say, hey, just say the city. Just say the name of the street, you know, whatever, you know, so you can, you can just approach it a little bit differently. So, so basically you're going to say this, how do we set up the database so that we can, or, sorry, how do we set up these campaigns so that they can draw from a list of contacts that I upload? Those contacts will include name, first name, last name, phone number, address, city, state, zip, whatever, you know, so that kind of stuff.
Also for the, for the texting, should I create like a separate bot that, like I trained to text back and forth with people?
We'll do that. We're going to train the bot later. The way that you're going to want to train that is we're going to, we're going to do that in the, in the GPT training. We might get to that today, but it might be tomorrow. But where you, where you train a GPT to do exactly what you want to do it, and then you can take those instructions and drop them right in into Here in replit and say, here's how I want the bot to respond, here's how I want the GPT to act. And it will, it will follow all those instructions. So it's not very hard, but we'll go through that tomorrow. Right now, we don't need to set that up right now. We just need to figure out how do we even, like, get a campaign going. What's the flow? Right? So for you, you're the user. That's the cool thing. You don't have another customer. You're the user. What's the flow that you imagine here? I need to be able to create a campaign. As part of the creating campaign, I need to be able to select a contact list. Oh, I need to be able to create a contact list. Where do I do that? Oh, we need a new tool. Maybe we put that in Settings or an admin. Or just maybe it's a new, a new, you know, top, top thing here with dashboard, market research, lead generation. Maybe it's part of lead generation. Maybe lead generation. The output of lead generation is lead lists. Right? So you just have to think. You got to architect this. It might even require you getting up. Is that a whiteboard behind you? I don't know. You got to get board behind you, use your wall, write out, you know, what is what, what, how does this fit together so that you understand how to do it and then tell it, tell it what to do. So anyway, it's not, it's not that hard. You can figure out what you need it to do in probably five to 10 minutes, but you need to just understand what you're doing. You're the conductor. It's going to listen to you. The better instructions you give it, the better it'll do. So. But at least we fix that problem. So that's good. And did you see how we fix this, guys? I said you're making this too hard. Don't make debugging tools. Make this simple and make it work. There's a database. It's going to work, right? So sometimes you just have to kind of dumb it down and say, look, you got this, Mr. AI, okay, images. How many people here have created an image with AI? Probably everybody. Travis, have you. Yeah. You have Cara, have you? Not yet. All right, well, this will be fun. This would be really fun. What tools have you guys used to do that? What's your, what's your go tool? Image creation tool. I've just used GPT, Rock Gro. Okay, and what? Meta.
AI.
Meta. Yeah, Meta is cool. Has Anybody used the Image Playground on iOS? That's good. It's terrible.
It goes against all my values, everything I believe in.
I'm going to convert you someday, Dexters. No, I'm just kidding. All right. Okay. I'm gonna sit here and eat a protein bar while we do this so that I don't pass out. But we're going to share my screen now and we're going to jump into some fun things. Okay, we're going to go over here. So I've got a bunch of stuff open already. I'm trying to think about how I want to start this. All right, we're going to start with Mid Journey. Anybody ever heard of Mid Journey? Yep. Midjourney is fun. And there's a couple cool ways to use it. Discord is a group or is it Sorry, is an app that uses this cool picture I made of Jesus. Isn't that pretty? Just amazing. I use it. I wanted to do a post about Christ and I, you know, I had Mid Journey put one together some other things too. I have a new. I have a new song coming out tomorrow called Risen and. And I used one of these images. I think I used this one. Yeah. This is what I ended up with. Pretty neat. So. But you can create unbelievable images like this. This image right here. ChatGPT can't do. And I don't think Grot can do it either. Mid Journey is the most powerful image generation tool of which I am aware. It is fantastic. It also. One of the reasons why it's really, really powerful is it won't. It doesn't have many restrictions now. It does have some, like, if you ask it to put a naked girl on the screen for you, it's not going to do it. Okay. It does have some restrictions like that. So it's going to be family friendly type thing. But ChatGPT, for example, won't let you create images of Christ or other religious figures. Right. It has, you know, it's, it's, it's tighter with some of its things here. But, you know, I think this is beautiful and amazing, right? You can put that on a, on a wall and someone be like, who painted that? Even looks like someone. Someone's name is down here. Look at that right down here. Like almost like an artist signature. But anyway, but you can have it do just unbelievable, unbelievable things. And you can have it go. So this is like a painting style, right? I also had to do this, right. I did a post a few days ago, if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, whatever you Saw this, right? You saw me. And I then had ChatGPT add some text to it, right? And says, fear not. It is. I. You know, so that's pretty cool. You can have it create. It's quite terrible. Every AI. My test for AI images is can it create a kayaking image that actually looks like an actual kayaking image and it just doesn't. There's so many things wrong with this. If you're a kayak, maybe to you guys, you're like, oh, yeah, that looks cool. But no, this is a. This is a sea kayak that's like this. This should not be that way. This looks terrible here. This is. This is like a really, really crappy paddle. It just can't quite get it right. And if you try to get it to do a few other things, like, it just doesn't even obey the laws of physics often. Like sometimes I. One of these. One of these first prompts here, it was, yeah, here you go. Look at this kayak. I don't know how he got there, but I've never been in that situation before.
You don't jump off waterfalls and kayaks, Joe.
Yeah. Or like, maybe he was dropped from a hair from. From a helicopter or something and he's like, about to land or like, I'm. I'm not sure. This is definitely. Anyway, so that. That's my, you know, Turing test for images is I always try to. Because there was a new version of Mid Journey that came out. I was like, sweet, let's see if we can do kayaking. That was my first test for it. And it just. It can't do it can't do it. So. But sorry, I'm going to scroll up a little bit more. It can create. So this is. This is a really cool image I had it create, and I actually really like this style and I decided to use it across all of my Gen IPI stuff, right? So if you go to Gen API and you go to buy one of my courses, you'll see this. You know these. These styles of images, right? They're pretty cool. And it just gives a neat. A neat kind of aesthetic to. To what's going on here. But see how. See how neat that is, right? I just created Mid Journey and I tell it to upload. It uploads in the. In the thing here. For the live course, I use that one, right? That's what you guys are taking right now. Human plus AI. Okay? You guys are partnering with it and working together with AI. So that's. That's what I'M doing there now. Mid Journey. I'm inside of Discord. Discord is a relatively difficult platform to use if you're not familiar with it already. And so you might have to sign up through Discord. I don't remember how you sign up, but they do now have a Mid Journey right here. They do now have a. Let's see. Or create a web browser version of it. This is brand new. It's only been out for about a month. So. But you can more quickly see a lot of things, and you can do. You can do really neat things with this. So I can take this image and I can change it. Whoops. I did not want to do that. Sorry. I'm trying to move this Zoom browser here, right? But I can. I can vary it. I can upscale it, right? If I want creative. Like right now, if I were to download this, it might not be. It might not be. The resolution might not be big enough, but I can upscale it. Say I want. I need to create a version of this, right? So I just. Quick creative. Awesome. Perfect. Starting. It's already going, right? So now I'm starting that new thing there. So I can vary it, right? Very subtle. Means I'm going to make a variation of this. But it's just going to be slight differences. Like maybe the colors of things, maybe the faces of children will change. But if I click very strong, then it actually might create something, like, totally different, right? It's going to be in the same vein. Christ walking with a group of children on the beach, you know, but it might not be. It's going to be a lot more different. Each one's going to be a lot more different than, like, this would be a very. Or this was actually my first prompt, and I liked this one the most. This one was weird. Why is it weird? Anybody see anything weird?
Yeah, they're going different directions.
Yeah, that doesn't make sense. This one had a girl up here in front, it looks like. Didn't have her shirt on. I know I said, this doesn't do nudity, but I know. No, that's not really. But. But it just felt like I didn't want that in my picture. I actually really liked the composition of this one, but I wanted to change that. And I could have said, hey, you know what, let's change this one. And I can actually, actually go in and edit a specific part. But this one was the fastest, most natural one, and so I just rolled with it. And now here we've got, you know, a different one. Look at this one. This one's pretty cool. I like this one. You got like bad people just playing. You got people running along. You got some people back here. I love this picture. Look how cool that is, guys. Like, that's cool, right? Being able to just explore ideas very, very quickly. Mid journey is about 20 bucks a month. And you can. It gives you more credits than you're gonna use, right? Like, it's. You're. There's no way you're running out. And it is so powerful. Now, you guys are probably just mostly in your image creation. You just come into chat GPT and you say, make me an image of a T Rex on the moon. You know, you're doing something random and creative and that's cool. That's one way to do it. But one thing that I've discovered is, and we've already done here, is that combining the powers of AI is really, really effective. And even combining the powers of AI with itself. Right? So you can say, give me a very effective. Or give. Give me. Yeah, give me an effective prompt to make an image of a T Rex on the moon. I want it to be as photorealistic as possible and I want several T Rex footprints behind it. Yeah, sure, we'll just say that. So while it's actually. You know what? It can't. You can't think about two things at once. This one's. This one's actually not bad, But it's just standing there roaring. I'm now giving it one, that T. Rex footprint. So obviously it's probably in a walking position. CHPD used to do this faster, but they put it into a stronger image generation thing now. And so it takes a little bit longer. There it is. Pretty cool. Now I can iterate on this, right? Hey, make him look happy. Make him look animated. Put him in studio Ghibli style. Right. Anybody seen any of those images floating around everywhere? I don't know. My newsfeed's been filled with it. So now I'm going to ask it to where did my image go? There it is. Okay. Thought I lost it. That was cool. 1. So here's the prompt. So I'm. I'm interested in doing this. We're going to. Okay. Want me to generate it for you with that prompt? Yes. Yeah, we're going to say yes. First. I'm going to copy this. We're going to do two things at once here. So we're going to say yes, go ahead and do that. Then we're going to bounce over to mid journey and we're going to say, do this right. So now we've gotten. Now. Now we're trying to prompt from. From Chat GPT. Having chat GPT, then create that. We're taking that same prop. Putting in here. And then while we're at it, we'll actually. Yeah. X.com we'll go into Gro and paste and now we'll see what it does. We'll also check the speed on all of these. That's still going. This is going here. Create. Yeah, This is hilarious. So it didn't quite get everything right, but maybe it's just saying this is where the humans stood and there's a T Rex next to it. Now that doesn't look like T Rex footprints. I want super clear. Let's see what it says here. I didn't actually read it. Got deep T Rex footprints. That's fun. Okay. I am so, so annoyed at this zoom overlay. Okay, let's see if any of them. Yeah, there's a. There's the deep. Gosh, I'm not a fan of their UI here, but okay, this. This T Rex is flying. So not sure why it's doing that. This one's a little bit better maybe. So anyway, guys, we're not going to spend a lot of time doing this, but what I want.
What.
I just wanted to demonstrate this idea of saying, okay, I need to create. And we're gonna do one more. We're actually gonna do a realistic one. A realistic photo, maybe. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna. We're a realistic photo. We're gonna. We'll use. I want to come back to this and see what it did here.
So.
Yeah, it. It got it. It did it kind of, but it didn't do it right. Right. There's obviously some composition issues with this picture, and so. That's fine. That's fine. So we checked that. Let's do what Grock did. See. See if any of them got it right. Yeah, they all put the. The footprints in the wrong spot. So you obviously have to keep working with it to get it right. And that's. That's just, you know, part of life with AI. It's going to struggle with some of the things that you try to do. And that's just. That's just life. All right, we're going to create. We're going to just. Yeah, we'll just leave it right now. That's fine. Let's see here. Kara, we're going to work with you for a second. So please create a photo realistic image of. Actually, you know what? Please Create a prompt. For Mid Journey 7 to create a photo realistic kitchen with a woman baking an apple pie. Make the apple pie. Whoops. Really yummy. Okay, so it's going to create a prompt now. Now I've told it specifically, I'm going to use mid journey v7 and this is what I want it to do. So you give me all the instructions. So it's going to give a really, really nice thing and it even does this ultra high detail, cinematic V7 style photorealistic AR32Q2. This actually might fail. And that's okay. I want it to fail if it does, because that's instructive. So I'm just going to click enter here. Failed to submit. Style should be raw. Okay, so failed to submit. Style should be raw. If you don't know how to fix that. I know how to fix it, but I want to show you guys. I got this error. Oh, copy paste. Oh, sorry, it defaults to raw style. Awesome. Okay, so now we've got our prompt. This paste the new one. Click enter. Creation failed. That's okay. We know what to do here now, right? Got this error.
I can just skip a photo shoot, right? And give it pictures I've already taken of myself and say, make me hold a chocolate cake.
You can. We're going to do that in a second. Okay, we got it going. So let's see how it does. Might be good. Might not be. Here. Not anytime. Not all results. Where are the tools? Oh, maybe I have to go to images. Yeah. Usage rights. Creative Commons license.
Perfect.
That would be kind of a fun one to do. But I want to do. Maybe just use this one. This is fine. Save image, save. Photo shoot. Picture of a cake. Images, tools, Usage rights. Creative Commons. Save image. Cake save. Okay, so now we're going to drag both of these in here. Make this woman hold blue cake. Okay, See how that works? It doesn't always work the first time, but we're going to try it. We're going to come back to here. Here's some baking. That's an interesting one where you have the people, the person, you know, kind of blurred out with the bokeh effect. Beautiful pie. Look, guys, we could do this all day long, but once you learn how to really efficiently do this right, you could even take a picture, Cara, of your own kitchen. Like clean it all. Beautiful. Take a picture of it and then say, all right, put a woman in this kitchen baking a cake. You know, whatever. Put a group of women taking a class, you know, you can do that. Now, obviously, take Real pictures too. That's fine. Right? But man, you need some, you need something quick for your newsletter that's going out. You need something quick to put in a, you know, a quick post and you want to put a little, you know, inspirational quote or something like, man, this is awesome. This is so cool. But it's amazing how fast it can do something like that. This is going to take a second and I'm super curious how it's going to do. This is a brand new feature of Chat GPT where you can combine images, where you can take an existing image and then, you know, change what's in their hand or change something like that. Like, I bet it's going to turn out pretty well. Let's see. Yeah.
Unless you ask it to do anything that might look. Make LeBron James look bad.
Yeah, yeah. No, there, there are some limited. There's guys, there's limitations around. Like you said yesterday, nil. Right? Name, image, likeness of real people that are alive. It's going to, it's going to struggle with that. Like I asked, I asked some solution. I don't remember which one it was to bring a picture of Christ to life, like make it look like, you know, his robe was waving and something like that. You know, very, very. All very respectful stuff. But the problem is not everybody's respectful like I am. Right. And they don't want, they don't want people making images that are, you know, disrespectful to either people that are alive or, you know, religious figures, you know, Muhammad, Gandhi or Buddha or Jesus or whoever. Right? Now look at this, guys. It's doing it. We did it. Look at that. That's crazy. It's awesome. Oh, cool.
John, do you, do you find that there's a political slant to, to the, to, to the LLM, you know, training stuff? Like you, you're talking about making derogatory images of Christ or Muhammad or whatever. But is it more likely if you asked it to? And this is, that's almost a blasphemous exercise, but yeah. If you asked it to create negative images of Christ, is it more likely to do that for you than to create a negative image of, of Muhammad?
You know, that's a great question and I haven't specifically tested it, but I don't believe that AI is being programmed to specifically be more for one religion or another. It might be. There might be some subtle politics and real people. Yes. There's no question that there is political bias in it. And here's why. Here's the real Reason why it's not because the AI is specifically trained be more liberal, be more conservative. It's not trained that way. It's, it's responding, it's regurgitating what, what it thinks people want. And so maybe it was trained on 70% liberal content, 30% conservative content. Right? You guys may or may not remember, but about a year ago Google came out with its new image generator and people are like, create a realistic image of the founding Fathers. And it puts like a Native American woman in there and you know, a black man and an Asian, you know, it's like diverse dei, you know, like, and I'm not here to talk politics, but that's what was going on in Google, right? That's what Google was explicitly trying to make happen. And it probably just had some employee say, you know, make sure images are inclusive and follow DEI policy, you know, literally. Like it probably said that right in some instruction for its prompt. And so yeah, it's going to, it's, you know, whatever you put in, it's going to put out. And so Google got in big hot water very fast for that and they've fixed it, they've said, hey, we need to make sure, you know, political neutrality, like we don't want anything like that. So it's much, much, much better today. There's still maybe some subtle things in there that people put in there. I have one, one buddy that's trying to create a, create his own AI. That is it. It gives advice on life and on different things, on business and all kinds of stuff. But it does it all in the voices of Book of Mormon characters like learn from out, like hey Alma, what do I do? What do I do with this? Like how do I ask this girl out? And you know, Alma responds with how he would do it, you know, so whatever. It's kind of fun. It's kind of just like a fun, you know, twist on things like that. Or like, hey, I'm trying to start a new business. Moroni, what do you think? And you could talk to about anything. But it had, they have to have their own pre programmed personalities. They're going to be based off of text from the Book of Mormon and this and obviously that can be misused if you do it wrong. But he's doing it in kind of a fun, respectful way. And that's, that's fine. It's up to them. You can be. The bottom line is AI is capable of doing all of that stuff very, very easily. And it's almost impossible to even put safeguards on all those types of things, right? You could even ask an AI to respond like Christ would, and it's not going to say no, right? It's going to do it. Or, hey, respond like Muhammad would. And the way that it's going to do that is it's going to review and take what it knows about Christ or Buddha or whoever, and it's going to analyze the style and it's going to answer the question and then it's going to adjust its answer to the style of that. Awesome. Answer me in scripture, like Christ would. You could say that. And it will, it will give you something really, really cool. And it's quite fun to do. Like if you're a, if you're a, you know, a poet or maybe a lyricist, right? You're. You're writing a song, maybe you want to write a church song. And you're like, I wonder how Christ would express. Like, I've been going through this in my life and I really want to express it. Like, how do I do this?
Right?
It's cool. There's great positive use cases for that, for that thing. But I will, I will say that if I were to, if I were to do that and I was doing something that was really disrespectful and AI recognized that it was disrespectful, it might say, I'm sorry, I can't do that. It really might, right? So, you know, you'll learn the limitations as you try different things. And you can, you can do what you want, use that how you want. But it's, it's quite powerful at acting like other characters. Like you can even ask it. I've said, you know, something like, you know, what would, what would Steve Jobs say, you know, in this situation here? Like, I, I've got this LinkedIn post and you know this. I can't. I can't sway this guy no matter what. And so, like, but what would Steve Jobs say here to just put an end to this argument? You know, you can. Whatever really fun to, to learn like that you can also tell it to just act like Steve Jobs. You can tell it to act like Gary Vee. You can tell it to act like, you know, Russell Brunson or whoever you want to learn from, right? And, and it will draw from everything that person's ever said, everything they've ever written, everything that's ever been written about them, whatever, right? And it will do a pretty dang good job at approximating what that person would probably say, right? Really, really fun. All right, guys. So There's a lot of really cool things you can do with. With AI. Right? If I take a picture of. Of myself, I'm going to. I'm going to just show one more example here, guys, because I think. I think the photo stuff is very useful. And it becomes quite, quite useful when you're. When you're needing to populate your website with stuff. Right? All right. We'll take a trip of me and Zena when we went to. Let's see here. Heck, you might have even. You know what? It's actually on the way to here. Were you there, Russ? Did you go when the. Maybe, maybe that was a different time. It was time when. When, dude, perfect was there up in like Philadelphia or something. Did you go to that trip?
No, I don't remember.
Yeah, there was a group of people that are, you know. Anyway, we'll take this picture of me and Xena in prison.
You know, I. I remember, I remember. Yeah, it was to go out and do the.
And thoroughly jump flight.
Yep. You know, no, Nate. We sent Nate.
Yep. All right, so show this picture. Yeah. Make this picture into a. Into the style of Pixar. Pixar animation.
And after that one, do Norman Rockwell.
No, you know what? We'll just do Norman Rockwell. Just do it right now. Norman Rockwell. Norman Rockwell. Make the composition excellent. The color is cool and compelling and make this masterpiece, okay? So you can take existing images of, you know, your family, yourself, your friends, your kids, your whatever, and you can have it do anything you can imagine, right? You can have it be in a style of. I made this amazing picture the other day on. It was my daughter. We have. So I live on a five acre farm here, right? And we have a big kind of fire pile. It's almost like our own little volcano, right? And we put all our stuff on it. We burn all the time. So we have these big fires. And I had my daughter stand in front of it and make this kind of like foreboding look like it's kind of as a joke. And so I took a picture of it and then I put it into AI. I said, make this in the style of like Lord of the Rings animation. And the result was awesome. Like, it's one of the coolest pictures I've ever created. And anyway, so there's. There's so many things you can do. You just say, hey, I want it in this style. And if it can't do it, like sometimes it will say, sorry, I'm not allowed to copy that style, but I can do something like this Instead. So it knows how to, like, get around its own restrictions. Like, if I was going to say, put it in the style of Toy Story, but I actually tried that one time, and it came back and said, sorry, I can't do that, but I can do it maybe in the style of Pixar. I was like, well, yeah, do that. You know, like, okay. And it looks like Toy Story. So it knows. Not only did it know how to get around its thing, it still understands the context of the fact that I wanted it like Toy Story, so it's going to do it anyway. There's really cool ways to get around some of their things that will probably improve over time. The restrictions will become more slow, solid. But for now, you know, enjoy. Have fun. We'll see. We'll see how it does with turning us into Norman Rockwell. Wow, that is so cool. So I'll open up this image so that we can put it right next to it, see what's going on here. Why is this not go smaller? It just won't let me make that smaller. I don't understand why. That's fine. Nice. All right. There is our Norman Rockwell equivalent. So it's not perfect. It made us older, a lot older, for sure. But that's pretty cool. It took the exact composition. It's. It's got the bench there. You can see the bench right here. And right here, it's got lights going along the top here. It even took this bright spot. See that? All the bright spots, in fact, going down. You can see them going down like this in the hallway. It's pretty neat. You got the wood here. That's amazing. I get the way that it does this, guys. It's not like this is what's impressive about it. It's not like it's going in, like, in Photoshop and just putting a mask on it. Right? It's not just putting a filter on it and putting a mask on it. It's going in and painting this like, it's actually creating it pixel by pixel at lightning speed, and it's just so impressive. So anyway, guys, that's all we'll do on. On image generation for now. We're gonna. We're gonna want to use this later. Now what we're gonna do next is we're gonna bounce back into Flow Finder, and we're gonna do some. First of all, any. Any questions about any of that image generation stuff. I want to just open it up for a second if just before we move on. Okay. I'm not hearing anything. If there is a question, obviously. Jump in and ask it. All right, we're gonna jump into. I want to create a logo for. Oh, where is this thing? Flow Finder. Web view. Yeah. All right. I want to create a logo for web For. For Flow Finder. It's going to tell that. And we'll start there. Okay. Heck, yes. The best kayak in the world deserves a logo. Is epic. As their booths. Ooh, that's pretty good. That's pretty good. Anybody here know what a booth is? Extra credit points if you know. Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, I've.
