I want to make sure this is really for you guys, right? If you happen to step away or, you know, your daughter calls, you got to run and pick her up or something. You know, I know things. Life happens, and so we record it. And not only that, sometimes I move pretty fast, right? And you'll be like, I'm gonna go back and watch that part again. How did John do that thing? Right? And. And that's fine. The goal, My goal really here is to have you guys building live with me following along. If you have a good screen set up where you can watch my zoom and you can see your, you know, if you have that, great. If you only have one screen, that's okay. I'm actually only on one screen, and so I just bounce back and forth between a bunch of windows. And I know it's sometimes hard to do that, but if you can, you know, I recommend that that will allow you to. To just do a little bit better job at, you know, keeping up night. Um, at the same time, my. My real goal is to teach you guys principles, really, that will. That you'll be able to carry well past the nine hours in the course and be able to really significantly change, you know, the way that you approach almost everything. Like, I use AI guys on my farm, right? I use it. I use it on, you know, I use it at church. I use it. I use it all over the place. And I don't use it. I don't use it in, like a Google way where it's like, oh, hey, what is this thing? You know, like, of course I will. I do. I do that too. But I. I really dive in deep and. And I have it. I have it. Strategize with me and make plans with me and integrate things and organize thoughts and. And challenge me and, like, argue with me and, you know, because if you don't. If you don't ask it to argue with you, AI is a really awesome yes man. Like, it's gonna make you good. You're gonna be like, I have this idea. Wow, that is brilliant. I'm so, you know, honored to know you. You know, like, I mean, it'll say stuff like that, and it kind of makes you feel uncomfortable a little bit. They need to tone that down just a little bit with. With at least. I don't know, Chad. GBT does that. So. All right, let's do just a little bit of housekeeping here in the beginning in terms of, you know, I'd love to. To understand your background just a little bit. Doesn't need to be, you know, terribly, you know, in depth. But name? I already know your name and where you're from. Right. So we'll start with James from Nephi and tell us what you do today. And, and then I want to know maybe, maybe share us a little bit about you, family, whatever we want to share, like long, long walks on the beach. And then tell me whether or not you have any dev experience. Like if you're a developer, if you know how to write even a line of code, that would be really helpful. So yeah, go ahead, James.
No lines of code. For 30 years, I was a Fortune 100 consultant, creating new platforms and processes to help them with business integration and product development. In the last four or five years, I've tried to retire and it's not going that well. I making everyone crazy in my life. And so I'm currently consulting for some small companies just trying to help and trying to grow and learn. I have three programmers that are on salary all the time that I can send them stuff and just say, build this, fix this, make that change.
Are those local or do you have those abroad?
Yeah, they're abroad.
Okay. All right.
And Matt just told me, like, you're, you're wasting time and energy and money, dude. Just stop doing that.
So here I am for sure, for sure. That's awesome. I love that. Oh my gosh. I'm so excited to change your life, James. Like, it's gonna be, it's gonna be really awesome. You're gonna feel so empowered in like an hour. So that's awesome. Welcome. And welcome, Justin. Justin, I just told him you're some crazy dude that just messaged me and signed up like on the spot. So that's super cool. You're already, you know, awesome in my book. I love people that just make it happen. We have a little bit of a smaller course today. We're only going to have four students plus me, which is awesome. You guys are going to get some good, good, you know, attention from me. The course that was this morning that just finished, we had nine students in the course that finished last week. My Last one had 12 students. And so you guys get a lot more of my attention. Thought be great. We're just doing some intros right now. Name where you're from, what you do, and whether or not you have any dev experience. Right. So, James. None but pays developers. Awesome. Ty, go ahead.
Yes. I actually studied computer science at byu. I was a software engineer for three years. I quit that about two years ago to start a real estate investing company. And so flipping single family houses.
So been doing that.
Got three flips going on right now.
Nice.
I've been automating some stuff. It's in Tennessee. It's Tennessee.
Tennessee. Cool.
Yeah, my brother lives there, so we kind of partner around Knoxville area.
Okay, awesome. Yeah, I actually am doing a big project right there. Right, right. You know where English Mountain is or Hartford, any of that? Like Pigeon Forge.
Pigeon Forge, yeah, For sure.
Yeah. I'm doing stuff right in there. I'm doing a big real estate project out there, which is cool anyway.
That's cool.
I'm convinced that Pigeon Forge is some kind of odd hillbilly magnetic nexus with like.
Absolutely is.
What do you want? You want to go see Titanic?
Yeah.
Okay, There's a Titanic. You want to go see Alcatraz Museum? You want to go play mini golf? You want to go. There's a Parrot Mountain. There's midget wrestling and the Dukes of Hazzard. And like, I don't know where else you can find all that.
We have lots of moonshine and.
Lots of moonshine.
Funny place.
And Dolly World, of course.
And Dollywood. Yeah, Dollywood's crazy. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, no, that's really cool. Stephen, we'll go to you next. Yeah. Tell us about yourself.
Yeah, I've been working for a DIY home security startup since it started seven years ago. I've worn a lot of different hats. It's just been. Have a little bit of dev experience, but I mainly just. I did product management for the equipment and then for the site and the, the funnel. I'm just wanting to be able to build different, different ideas both for the, for the company and then, you know, other. Other projects as well.
That's awesome. And, and Stephen and I went back and forth a little bit. I actually, and I didn't share this everybody else, but we, we actually had like another eight people signed up for this course. It was actually kind of a company that said, hey, we want to get a bunch of people in here and let's do this all together. And they rescheduled. Right. And so we were going to have a bigger class. So you guys lucked out. I still get my revenue later on. It's fine. I'll teach them. I'll have to do some other stuff. That's fine. But anyway, so you guys get a nice, a nice private course. That's kind of why we have a smaller group here today. But, but that's great. Thank you for that. And by the way, Justin, I am going to send you really quick a pre course prep document that you didn't get because you know welcome to, welcome to the course right now I am going to just text it to you because I think that's going to be the easiest way to do it. But there's just a few things you'll want to make sure you're signed up for. You may have them already. You want Chat GPT plus. If you have Chat GPT plus that's great. If you only have the free version you're going to need them. I've got plus so get plus and then grok you don't.
I got Super Grock.
You're awesome. And then we'll. And there's one other one called Replit and Replit you'll want to, you'll want to buy. You'll sign up for. I think it's 35 for a month and I think there's in the document I just sent you, I think there's a link for you to sign up on. But while you're before you, you do that. Give, give us your intro.
Yeah. Justin Kipker, my dinosaur in the ad agency guy started off as you know, Macromedia Flash programmer and worked on you know, I met Chester Cheetah, worked on Mountain Dew, Frito Lay, all kinds of cool stuff was part of like the Pepsi rebrand logo. I was the main dev on that website when they launched it and mess their old logo up used to build games. So I have some dev chops but I'm really become a front end programmer hack my way through design. I wouldn't call myself a designer necessarily but I'm really just like a more of a top down strategist now and I've been learning a lot client side specifically in E commerce and Shopify related so custom solutions like bolting on web apps for you know, brands that need something different than what a Shopify app can offer or what Shopify out of the box can offer or Shopify plus for that matter.
Yep.
And now I've just been using AI to make my workflow go a little bit faster. But now I'm starting to think of it like okay, how do I wire it into, you know, certain tasks so that I can sort of kind of create a digital version of myself to start doing these other things and expanding out and that's kind of where I'm at. I'm really just starting to test the waters with you know it seems like I was doing everything backwards like let me download all of the data documentation so that I can do my own findings and then double check it with GPT. And then I was like, wait, why don't I just wire it up and then have a conversation about that. And so yeah, I'm trying to make things more efficient. Wife and I would like to have some other streams of income on the side. So that's kind of where I'm at. Yeah. So I work in the industry, I have some programming chops. I'm a JavaScript guy and front end dev. A little bit of design and a lot of, a lot of experience under my belt.
I love it guys. I love the broad range of, of abilities here. This is going to be a, a solid group, right? Like sometimes, not that there's anything wrong with the 60 year old mom, you know, but I've had some 60 year old moms in this course, right, that take it and they're like okay, where's how do I like maximize the window Again, I can't find my curve. You know, I've had a couple comments like that in the course and sometimes that slows us down just a little bit. But, but let me, let me share this. That 60 year old mom by the end of the course had a fully functioning AI powered like baking website that had full login functionality and things like that. And you could like put in your own, you know, all the ingredients you have in your, in your pantry and like it would come up with crazy recipes for things like that automatically that you could do. So she built something really awesome that was really like a beautiful looking website with beautiful design and all those things, good ui, all that stuff with you know, a fully functioning database connected up, you know, you're doing APIs, it's amazing what, what AI has unlocked and I want you guys all to feel better. Those of you that you know, maybe, maybe didn't say you have any programming, you know, capabilities, whatever, maybe just a little bit. You have more than me. I have none. I have none at all. Now I do have leadership experience around technology. I have been a software CEO for a decade and before that another six years I was in, you know, senior management teams for software companies. And so I've sat in a thousand architect meetings and I've made decisions. I've raised over $50 million for my businesses and I've paid tens of millions of dollars to software developers, offshore, onshore, here, whatever, you know, in person, whatever, all these different things and you know, an occasional fiverr request and you know, whatever. But, but I've, I've built out, you know, big, big teams. I'VE employed hundreds of people and had a few exits under my belt as well with some of those software companies to the tune of, you know, eight figures. I've raised money at a nine figure valuation that actually then tanked down to about a $25 million exit. Right. Which was still good, but not what I wanted to do. And some few of those investors were a little upset. Luckily I wasn't the CEO at that time. I actually left in a mini exit and we put another CEO in charge and I won't wait. It wasn't all his fault. Sometimes the market turns on you, right? We were doing some stuff in the augmented reality space, right, Metaverse space, whatever. And a few years ago the market just went right.
What year was the exit?
So 2024 was, was the final exit of that. But I exited the business in 20, like January of 2022, right. And so it was doing pretty well at that point. And then it, and then it just kind of dropped off and, and so we lost a huge amount of, of contracts. We had like million dollar contracts with Meta and with Google and you know, we had contracts with Nestle and Lego and just we built this big, you know, global thing. I started that in 2016. And, and so anyway, part of, part of why I share that is because I, I've raised millions and millions and millions of dollars and you know, James has paid tons and tons of money. He's paying full time, you know, dev team to just have them on retainer so that he can make stuff happen. And I am building websites and fully operating businesses for less than 100 bucks, guys, and making real money from it. I started a company in which a few of you may have come across a poster with me talking about it on LinkedIn or something like that where I said, hey, I built a business in three days and I did it for less than I did it. It was about 130 or so in Replit and then probably about another 150 in just fees and different things. I was doing so really about under 100, about 300. I built a business that I finished in three days, launched a bunch of ads and sales and all that stuff. And by Tuesday of the following week I had my first fifteen thousand dollar contract and within six weeks I had two hundred thousand dollars of revenue with that business.
Right.
Using the strategies that we're going to be talking about today. And what we're going to be doing is not, it's not rocket science even, it's just kind of a workflow and framework and some Tools that once you learn how they work, you are going to be just like super excited about what's possible. And so, yeah, with that being said, we're going to dive right in. We're going to do some fun stuff. So those of you that are developers, some of this beginning stuff might be a little bit. Some of it'll be new, it's cool. But it'll be very easy for you. It'll be really fun. So we're going to start today in Grok. Now I'm going to share my screen really quick here and we're going to, we're going to click like this and I'm just going to go to x.com and jump onto Grok here. Has anybody ever heard of the programming language P5JS? Most people haven't. It's just a type of. It's a front end language, right? Meaning it's stuff we're going to see. We can see it. It's not using any backend databases or anything crazy like that. It's just going to be some visualizations, right? But using AI to code that you can code in almost any language. But P5JS is just kind of fun when we're going to play with just a little bit here, right? So I'm just going to say, all right, please create a. By the way, I use please, even though Sam Altman said yesterday we shouldn't do that. A lot of money, like whatever. But I'm going to say please. So please create a visualization. Let's try a 3D visualization of the solar system using P5Js and show me where I can run it. Okay, so I'm going to copy this prompt. I'm gonna do this a lot today, guys. I'll make a prompt and then I'm going to drop it into the chat. So you can copy it and paste it and use the same, the same thing, and then you can obviously modify it. So maybe you don't want to make a visualization. I want you to just watch kind of for a second, like for two minutes here, three minutes here, and then we'll have you guys jump in and do this. All right? But you can come up with whatever you want. Maybe you want to make a little golf game, maybe you want to recreate Pac man, maybe whatever the heck you want to do. Go for it. Right? So I'm going to try this. So I just, it just wrote a bunch of code really quick for me. I'm a quick copy. Okay, this little, this little button is Always anytime you see code, you're going to see this little copy button. Okay. So that they make that easy. And I'm just going to click on this p5js.org editor. Okay, that's going to open this up. I'm going to select all. I'm going to delete this. So I've got a clean sketch JS right here and I'm going to paste it and then I'm going to click play. Okay, there we go. All right. I have a model of the solar system. It looks. Are they moving? I can't tell if it's moving. I think it might be moving like really slow. Yeah, it totally is. See how it's moving past my cursor a little bit? So it's like really slow. I want to be able to like see it from the top down and it's kind of boring. Right. So I'm going to tell it that. Right. So I'm going to bounce back over here. I'm going to say. Okay, hold on.
Sorry.
This dang zoom control is in the way of my life right now. Okay, here we go. So the animation is really slow and I would prefer a top down view. It would be nice if I could use my mouse to drag and view the model from all sides. Also make it more visually appealing. Lastly, when I click with my mouse, whoops. With my mouse, have a, have a shooting star shoot out of my cursor. Okay. So I gave it a few ways to fix this and improve it. Right. And so I'm not using any technical language. I'm just talking to it like a normal human being. Just like AI is really, really good at, you know, understanding and parsing, understanding what I, what I want to do. So. Okay, great. Here's what we're going to do. Improve performance, mouse drag interaction. That's cool. Visual appeal. Shooting star on. Click where to run. Okay, I can do all that stuff. Okay, great. So it's going to write the code. You have to wait until it finishes. Okay, it's done and now it's telling me. All right, go back to that. I'm going to go here. I'm going to select all this stuff and delete it. I'm going to paste it and I'm going to push play. Okay, so now. Okay, we're doing. Okay, so if I click, it's shooting, it's doing a shooting star. I'm not seeing a top down view, so it didn't listen to me there.
So.
Okay, whatever. It's almost like it's on A weird axis. Like what's this line? So I'm going to go back to it again. There is a line down the middle. I can't drag the model to be able to shift my view and it's still not top down. Oops. Top down. Okay, so this is the last change I'm going to do. I could keep iterating on this guys for a long time, but this is all I'm going to do right now. I'm going to let it try one more time and you guys can see what it does. And then I want you guys jumping in, jump into Grok right now. And I want you to use my, my, my prompt which is please create a something of, you know, a model of or this or please create a game where I'm a, I'm a human and I'm running from a T Rex and I use my, my, you know, the control keys, you know, the arrow keys to, to move it around or wasd, whatever. To move it around. Tell it. Right, Tell it something. Build something. Make a, make a model of. I don't know, solve cold fusion for us in P5Js past play. Let's see if we get anything different here. Okay. Hey, I can now drag a little bit. The controls are kind of janky. I can click. I'm still, I'm still not seeing quite the top down view that I want. And it looks like there's some, some like lines for the, for like the orbits and, and the, the planets are like super, super, super slow. Right. So I don't really love it. I think it's just. Okay, I'm going to tell it this. I'm going to try one more thing. I'm going to say start over and take a different approach to make the planets actually move in their proper orbits and make them move fast enough so that I can actually see the movement.
Whoops.
Make this almost like what a screen saver would look like even though it is interactive. Okay, so you guys go ahead and get started. I'm gonna, I'm gonna do a couple maybe more prompts here and in a second I'm gonna have you guys share your screen and show what you're doing. Show what you're making. Right. B5JS is a fun language. I did my, my wife is a gardener and the other day I had her build, I was kind of teaching her shown how to do this and she made a little like gardening game where you could like. I, I had, I had Grok do some research or on what are the Top flowers of this year. Okay, great. Now represent those with emojis. And then if you click on the garden, then a little. Little things start. A little kind of timer goes when it's done, and the flower kind of grows up, and then after a while, it dies and disappears, and you could click and plant your garden. It was kind of fun. So sky's the limit, guys. Be creative. If you want to just do a solar system thing, copy me too. That works too. Okay, see if we get a different. All right, we got a. Got a problem here. If you have an error, that's great. Just tell it, copy it, paste it into gro. It will fix it. Let me turn on focus mode. Do not disturb, so that we don't get any of those types of things.
Okay.
Okay.
It's a little bit better maybe. So, yeah, I have. I have kind of a solar system thing. It's not. I mean, I don't know if the. The orbits are accurate even from a relative standpoint, but they're orbiting the sun, and I can click to shoot my little shooting star, though.
It's not.
It's not clicking exactly from where I expect it to, and I can kind of drag it around. It's not bad. It's not bad. So I think this is just. Okay. I've created way better fun. Way more fun designs in this. Start over and make it more retro. Anybody have something working?
Yeah, I got something.
Let's see it. Let's stop my share, and we'll start yours.
All right.
Let's.
Well, I just did an iteration.
That's all good.
It's still writing. I lived on my sailboat in San Diego for a while, so I tried to make a sailing game real quick.
Nice. Cool. Let's see what it's got.
Shakes out and.
Yeah, you're just using the preview inside of Super Grog, which is obviously.
Yeah.
But I have. I can go to. Was it P5?
Yeah. P5js.editor.org yeah, you can drop it in there. I think that's it. P5js.editor.org what did I tell you wrong? Give me a second. Oh. Editor.p5js.org My bad, my bad. There you go. Yeah. And then just copy. Oh, yeah, there it is. There it is. We can just see it.
All right, so shooting.
Oh, you hit a something.
Supposed to be little islands, I guess so I'm shooting cannonballs.
That's cool. I know.
Not the best graphics. I think that's supposed to be like a little sea monster or something.
Ty, have you ever created a video game before?
I did, yeah. I did a mobile app competition in. In school and we made this, like, Android game. It was kind of fun. It was like a ball. You would, like, launch it across into, like, different spots and try to gather stars and get through levels and.
Justin, you've created. You've created video games.
Yeah, I made a side scroll Punchy, the Hawaiian Punch character game. He was on his surfboard and stuff, so.
I love it. I love it. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. Super easy, that. That's all. All right, cool. So we'll stop your sharing there. Ty, do you have something to show?
I do, yeah.
See it?
Can you see? So I made this game. It's a rocket trying to land on Mars. Basically, the prompt there's. I told it to have aliens shooting at you and to be able to move the arrow keys. So I press this. I can move with arrow keys. There's like a million lasers. I'm not exactly sure. I guess I'm supposed to land on the green things.
I think it's just falling to the ground. You need to tell it not to fall. Just say the white.
Well, I can hit up and like, not.
That's cool.
I get it. I get it. You think some kind of figure this.
One out by now?
Coming out of school for real.
So it's kind of fun. Like, the controls do kind of work. There's a lot of lasers, so I'd have to edit some things, but, yeah, kind of.
Cool.
It's possible that you're actually getting shot by something that we can't see.
Yeah. Can you see the little red dots?
Yeah, yeah. They're really, really hard. Yeah, I could see them. Yeah, they're kind of.
Yes.
Yeah. Yeah.
Like, it doesn't show me blowing up or anything, but every time it stops, it's because that little red dots hit me. So. I don't know. Kind of fun, though.
I haven't been yet. But you could obviously take it. You know, it might be an endless, you know, an endless game. You just go until you die or whatever. But you could obviously say, hey, make a title screen. Make a start button. Make this and save. That's how you would build this out to actually be a game. Right. So my son, he's 12 years old, he took this course maybe a month ago, and he built. He loved this P5Js exercise so much that he built a website where you can share your games and things that you create for P5Js and then people.
That's Cool.
They can tip you a dollar and that's all you can do anyway, so. Pretty cool.
That's cool.
Yeah, really neat. Thanks for sharing. Let's bounce to James. What do you got?
It's pretty weak.
It's all right.
I. I'm old. I'm the old guy here. So you gotta let you know, you just gotta take the old with the. So I, I asked it to create a three dimensional model of the Salt Lake Capitol that I could move around and look at and try to. But yeah, there you go.
That's cool.
That is actually pretty cool. I mean, consider. Consider all the things that it had to do to make that happen, right? It had to research. Okay. What does the Utah state capital look like? And it would be approximate dimensions. Okay. Yeah. Great. Now how am I going to think about, you know, building this out? What kind of structure can I use? What kind of shapes can I use? How do I do this? It's pretty cool, right?
I ran one more to see if it would make it a little more lifelike.
Let's see what happens. It probably won't, but. And the reason for that is because of the language we're using, right? If you wanted to get into some realism and things like that, you're going to need real 3D models. You might need to use Unreal Editor or something. Unreal Engine or something like that. But. But it's pretty good. It's still, it's still cool, right? You built a model, a working model of something that you can drag around. Now you could work on the controls. You can say, hey, the controls are weird. Like for example, you could say, hold it's. You know, make sure that it stays flat always. And I can just kind of scroll around the top view of it or. Right. Or I can go like this. But don't, don't ever let me get underneath it. You know, you could tell it to give you. Give some restrictions so that it, so that the, the usage of it. Or maybe say add a button to reset the model. Right? So that you could just. Hey, now you have that. So you just kind of think through as a, as the user. You're the user. You tell it how you want the user experience to be and then Grok will figure out how to write it, right. How to solve the problem. So that's cool. Thanks for sharing. And then, Steven, we'll finish with you.
I went 2D. I was trying to go 3D, but it didn't quite work.
Yeah.
Oh.
It's a little, it's a little boring. But it's all right. My. My buddy's a criminal defense attorney. I'm helping with his website. And so I built out a criminal defense step process. Step by step process.
This is the process.
Yeah, but I couldn't get it 3D. But anyhow. But still, that's something that throw on his website.
Feels like it could be. Okay, that's cool. We're going to make way cooler things than this, guys. But cool, guys, what I wanted you to do here, right? Like, Stephen, have you ever coded something like that before or more complex than.
That about that level? Yeah.
All right.
Too much. Yeah.
How much effort did it take as compared to what you just did?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That was zero effort. I mean, that was no effort.
Yeah. I mean, guys, the reality is, the purpose of this exercise is very, very simple. You, I. I want to show you that AI can do the hard, tedious stuff now. And you get to be the designer. We all get to be Justin. Right. We get to design freaking cool user experiences. And when you learn how to use AI, it's going to bring things to life. Now, this was child's play compared to what we're going to build, Right? Many of you signed up on genpi.org for my course, right? And that entire thing, every single button, every single element, every single everything was built with AI. I do not know how to write a single line of code. And I've built very complex, beautiful systems. And I've built 25 more projects that I can show you guys today. And we're going to build one today. We're going to dive in and we're going to really make this happen. So, in fact, we're going to do it right now. Okay. So we're going to close out of this cool thing. We'll leave that. I don't need it anymore. And we're going to bounce into. There's my Thomas Newman mix that I use to, you know, focus. Wait for it. Here it is right here. Okay, so we're going to jump into replit really quick and just watch. I just want you to watch for a minute.
Don't.
Don't try to do anything right now. So Replic, guys, is a really amazing system. I have looked at, I don't know, 300 AI systems. I've looked at so many of them. All of them. And I have an opinion on all of them. I've signed up for an account for a lot of them. I tried them out. I played with different things, whether it's image generation or video generation or ideas or websites or, you know, what do you call it? Decks, Like a presentation, a slide deck, a PowerPoint, you know, AI, everything AI, audio AI, music AI, video AI, games, AI, whatever, right? Because it's just something I'm interested in and I spent a lot of time doing it and it's my job. So you know that it's good that I'm interested in it and I enjoy it because it's really fun. Replit is, in my opinion, the absolute best complete solution that allows you to really build fully functioning products that you can host temporarily, maybe just, you know, Justin, I've sold to a lot of ad agencies and things like that, right? In the past, over my career. Yeah, Sometimes you just need a website up during a campaign for like six weeks, right? You want good analytics out of it. You want it to connect things. You want to be super cool, but you want to stand it up super fast. And then, you know, you shut it down. It doesn't need to exist anymore, right? And oh my gosh, oh, my gosh, I wish I had this. I would have saved millions of dollars if I had I had this, because I could stand that up in. During the meeting, right? I had. I had one person in my last class. Her name is Jessica. Good friend I've known for, I don't know, 30 years, like since we were children. And she was talking to me, she's like, I want to build like this flappy, flappy bird game that's, you know, it does this, but it's like the bees and you have to avoid this thing. And I was like, oh, yeah, keep telling me details, right? And it kind of just looks like I'm sitting there kind of almost half ignoring her, but I was just literally typing it into chat GPT to like, build some code and stuff. And then I was like, okay, build the code, open it up, whatever. And I was like, kind of like this. And I just turned my phone around to her and she was like, like, like, how did you do that? Right? Like, I just showed her right there in the spot. You guys can do that now. It's a cool party trick where you can just whip something up super fast. When someone's just talking about an idea, they're like, oh, I have this idea. I want to build this website that does this. You'd be like, just type it in the side there, right? And then be like, hey, I just built this website for you and it does everything that you wanted it to do, right? So super cool. Let's try something. Let's. Let's come up with an. Let's come up with an idea. One of the cool things that I do with every single course that I do is I come up with a new idea. And let's see what I want this one to be. All right, I have an idea for a business. I kind of, I don't know, let's see. I really want a pool. I'm thinking along the lines of a pool. I really want to. I want to buy a pool and you know, put it on my property here in West Mountain. And I'm trying to think if I want to build a website as pretending I'm the pool builder or if I want to build a website that maybe is put on by the pool builder but that I can use. It's a really good tool, as you know, that I could use as the property owner. Right. It'll build something cool that allows me to kind of scope out exactly what I want. Maybe even see.
What'S kind of popular. That's confusing is like if you want to do your own sort of custom pool, a smaller scale or larger scale if it's not in ground, you know, they do those like, you know, ten foot circle, like water trough type pools you can heat, like to figure out the right pump and hose combos and like how to set it up and like what support you need and how to heat it. Like that's kind of a confusing thing. But those kitschy backyard pools are kind of catching on. Places like Austin, Texas and stuff like that.
Yeah, I, I've thrown a couple of those up and I agree they always turn green and they're always hard and the pumps kind of suck. And so I want to like. I don't really know what to do, but. Yeah. So here's what we'll do. I'm going to say I'm going to act like, I'm going to act like a pool builder. So I'm going to say I'm a pool builder and I want to create a website with resources for people that want the pool in their yard. I want DIY resources. I want a calculator, a cost calculator. Cost estimator. Yeah, Cost estimator. Calculator feature on the home page that seems super valuable. And I want people to be able to, you know, submit forms and reach out to me for quotes for leads. Yep. Art building. All right. So I just came up with an idea, Right. I'm obviously not a pool builder, but I kind of combined the. I, you know, the best of all worlds where it's Going to be some DIY stuff. And, like, I'm going to be, like, a really great resource for people that want a pool. Like, here's some DIY things. If you've got money, here's this budget. If you, you know, if you got more money, you could do custom and, you know, so we'll just kind of build this idea out over the next, you know, nine hours, right? I'll, I'll be working on my business, you guys be working on yours. And, and this is not where we're going to start, so don't jump into replit yet and do this. Guys, I just want you to watch for a moment, okay? But it's basically saying, okay, I'm going to help you plan a website, right? Build the initial prototype, and would you like any of these additional features? We can also make changes later. Add a gallery of completed pool projects with filtering options. That could be cool. Yeah. To be able to show off, like, past jobs. I kind of like that. A blog section would be great. And materials calculator for DIY projects. I'm not going to do that right now. And then add a scheduling functionality for consultations. That sounds like something I would want as a, as a pool installation guy. So I'm going to say, all right, let's go. Right? So it's going to get busy. And right here you're going to see some code, right? And this is not a fancy animation. It's actually writing code right now. It's thinking through it. It just, you know, did a bunch of analysis. And now here we go. I'm pool pro, right? That's our, that's the name of the company. And now we've got a menu. And now we've got a background that's blue. We're going with a water theme. Now we've got a picture of a living room, which is kind of. I'd rather have a pool. So that's fine, whatever. But that's okay. We're starting, it's starting to look like a website, like, immediately. Look at this.
Look.
How freaking cool is this? Right? It's just open this up like it's nothing. You can just bring something to life in seconds. Guys. Okay? When you're tr, like, James, how many times have you asked for like a, a mockup of something, right? And you're like, you know, two weeks later it comes and it sucks and whatever.
Well, do you, do you want to hear a really sad story?
Please.
I, I, I reached out to get a pool installed here in UI and I talked to 12 different contractors. One showed up, he told me it was a year out and it was $240,000. So I called some engineers and I invented a new way to build an in ground pool system. We can put it in in three weeks and it's about half the cost.
Oh gosh.
But, but that's not the, that's not the sad. I mean it's a cool system. It's so freaking awesome what it does. But it took me longer to build the website which you can go to right now doesn't have any of this functionality than it took me to have to create an engineered set of plans.
That's amazing. I'm curious, tell me what the website is.
It is ironhide pools.com.
Ironhide h y d E Y D E. Got it. That's where I didn't know like Hyde park or why is it hide. What does Hyde mean?
Because it's a steel. We created a steel vault system that gets installed into the ground.
Oh nice. Cool.
And then we backfill that and then put a liner in and whatever.
Very cool. 18 by 36. So do you do. Is this primarily for rectangular pools?
It's. It's pretty much only rectangular.
I'm shopping right now a little bit guys. But yeah, what I, so what I want. I think this is really cool and maybe there could be some space. I want. I'm a whitewater kayaker. That's a big thing that I do. I, I do like big time stuff and so I'm going to build some waterfall systems in and I'm going to actually have like a pretty intense lazy river with some really strong pumps that actually can make a couple waves I can surf on in my kayak. So. But this is awesome. This is really cool.
But I feel shitty now actually this was. And it's. It's a terrible website.
And you know what, here's the cool thing though. You can say hey, I want you to clone this and improve it. You can literally do that with replit. You could give it your. And it'll look at it, it'll copy the whole thing, clone the whole thing and improve it and make it way better in minutes, right? And then you can just, you know, redirect, right, Redirect that, DNS settings, all those things, right? Super easy. But now, you know, it's still going to think for a while guys. Right? Initial checkpoint. We're just reviewing my message. It's going to keep going. Now if I try to drag some of these things like it's not functional Yet, Right. Right now it's basically saying, what should it look like? Right. And it's giving kind of a visual wireframe almost. Right. That's a little bit better than just lines and circles and things like that. It's actually like, hey, this is kind of what it's going to look like now. It's going to go through and it's installing packages, it's going to start doing all kinds of crazy stuff and it's going to build out the entire system to actually make these buttons and these systems work. Right. So if you look at the dependencies, it's starting to do here, let's see view output. Let's see what it's doing here. Yeah, still nothing yet here. It'll, it'll, it'll show a bunch of things. In a second you'll see this huge list of crazy stuff. So we'll come back to this. Okay, but if I click submit, quote, request or try to click any of these things, we'll come back to this. Okay.
Yeah. Like, so is that fine tuning indeed? Like, you know, connecting to a real phone number, real email names like addresses, like, you do all that manually later or.
Yeah, we'll. Yeah, we'll show how to update a lot of that data later. And yes, you can tell it like, here's all my information updated everywhere throughout the site, like super, super fast. Right. So updating information, changing things. You can have some things driven by a database and then you can have some things that are actually hard coded in.
Yeah.
Do the actual.
Wire this to a universal database or does it have its own proprietary.
So it uses internally. We're getting ahead of ourselves just a little bit here.
Okay, I'll let you.
You're okay, you're okay. But there is a database in here that's fully managed and it uses Neon tech, Neon Text, IO or whatever it is. It's a great database. It's fantastic. Or if you're like, you know what, I want to use Firebase, then do that. Right. You can, you can wire up whatever you want. So we'll get to that and we'll make sure it happens. Right. For now, it's just going to get busy and it's, you know, it's, it's creating, you know, storage and routes and utilities and index and app and pages home and it's starting to create all these crazy things.
Just had to do all that manually.
I know, I know. Normally when you're setting up a project, right, you've got your file structure over here and look at all the stuff it's building out for you here. Look at this client. 56 things, components. Look at all this stuff it's building. Cool, right?
It's like a React app. Is that what this is?
I probably, I think it's using React. That's my guess, right? But, but yeah, it's crazy. It's crazy how fast it can do this. Guys, I'm still blown away when I click on these buttons and I'm just.
Like, yeah, so could you upload a code base and have it change things that already exist?
Absolutely, we'll talk about that later. Because this is obviously rapid prototyping now you can deploy this site here like Gen ipi. My site here, this is completely built inside of this solution. Everything works. It's amazing. It can do incredible things. It has a very intense database and it's a fully functioning system. But if I said, you know what, I need to scale this really, really big, I need, I need 50,000 concurrent users or something for whatever reason. Great. Maybe I need to export it into something else. And I can do that. I can just connect to GitHub, push it and then, you know, connect it to other AI tools to help augment the code and do whatever I need to do. We'll show you, I'll show you how to do all of that stuff. Okay, we'll come back to it. All right. Right now we are going to dive into Chat GPT. Now, how many people here have not used chatgpt? Yeah, okay. I would expect that out of this group, you guys are all, you know, curious, tech curious. And so you're going to try these things out, you're going to use it. How many people use JGPT mostly for like Google type searches or maybe some image generation with Studio Ghibli requests. Right, right. Most of you guys are probably, most people are using JGBD and AI like, you know, a little bit nicer, you know, Google and, and it's just so much more powerful than that. And understanding some of the ins and outs of the platform that they've designed around ChatGPT, around actually the open AI LLM models that they have. Right. Can help you really organize your thoughts and build out some really awesome stuff. And so that's what we're going to do today. Right. So one of the first things I want to talk about here is, and I'm actually going to bounce into the, the web based version of Chat GPT for a minute here just to point out a couple things. Now I have the desktop. I might, I'm going to go back and forth between these different things. Okay, so first off, ChatGPT is, and every AI operates on, on something called context. Right? And the context basically is a bunch of knowledge that the AI has about you or about the project or about the chat. And you know, it's, it's what's going on. And then there's context limits. Right? Right. Where you might be able to say okay, I have 10 million token context limit. Right. Which is I think the new limit for Facebook's or metas, whatever they call it, Llama for behemoth or something like that. Right. Massive context. You could put entire enterprise level code bases in that thing and ask it questions about it and do all kinds of fun stuff with it. But most AIs and including ChatGPT especially because it's kind of a consumerized product, unless you have the pro, which makes your context on this really long. If you try to ask it to write a book, it's going to basically time out. It's just not going to be able to do it. It's going to write you three or four pages and then, and then it's gonna say, okay, I'm done. And so then you have to kind of break it down into step by step. And you can do that. That's fine. Right. But for purposes of this discussion right here we're gonna talk about its memory, what it knows and how it understands the context of what you're really trying to do. So if you jump into settings here, first of all, one thing I want to just, I'll cover this really quickly. If you are worried about privacy and talking about things that, I don't know, you're worried about getting out or something like that, that's fine. They have the enterprise mode that allows you to turn off improving the model for everyone. Then all your chats are not pushed back to the AI. It doesn't get feedback that way. Right. And so you won't help improve the model. Totally fine. I keep it on. I'm just not talking to it about stuff. I just don't really care. And I understand how OpenAI actually uses this information. It's actually used at a very, very high level. They're trying to find patterns across things. They're not looking for Social Security numbers that all that information is pushed out. I literally would feel comfortable dropping my social into chat GPT. That's, that's me personally. You guys might not like that and that's totally cool. But just based on how I know they're using it I'm really not worried about that. But on a personalization level here, there's something right in here called Manage memories, right? And this is everything that Chat GPT has learned about you. Some people think that every single chat you've ever had with Chat GPT, it remembers and that is just simply not the case. It can't, it's too big. It's too much information, it's too much context, right? And so what it does is it will, it will snag little snippets, right? Hey, he's doing, he's doing this, he's doing this. John is building a business that combines this. He has chosen Nimbus. This was another, you know, app that I made that I can delete. I don't need ChatGPT really to remember this for me. But, but let's see here. Hey, John Cheney's a composer, an entrepreneur, consultant, right? He's actively building businesses, he creates original music, he's developing digital platforms. He's a husband and father of four children. He lives on a five acre farm in West Mountain, Utah, whatever, right? So he's fluent Spanish and Chinese. He's a kayaker, he's a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. It knows things about me and it's useful for it to know those types of things about me because maybe I, you know, related to, you know, religion here, right? If I ask it a religious question, right. If I ask it something about God, well it's going to consider, well, John's a member of the churches grass, Latter Day Saints. I'm going to pull from that kind of content and within that kind of a framework or context. Whereas if it said, hey, John is a Buddhist and I ask it something about God or something, it's going to pull from Buddhism, right? It's going to pull from something different simply because it knows who I am. Now of course I can override the context and I could say, hey, I want you to pretend I'm Buddhist. I want you to pull from Buddhist beliefs and I want you to tell me, you know, what's the right way to attack this type of a problem and how can I improve myself and what, whatever it is I want to do, right? So you can kind of override the context but if you don't, it's just going to assume and it's going to base everything that it does off of what it knows about you. It saved memories and you can update the saved memories in a few ways. But the main way is this, right? I like tacos please update the memory or your memory. Your memory, right? So I told it something, and now it's going to update my memory. It says updated, save memory. Got it. Tacos are officially on the favorites list. Amazing. Okay, now I can jump back into settings. I can look at my personalization, manage memories. He likes tacos, right? So that's cool. Now it knows it's going to, you know, if I say I'm hungry, well, let's get you some tacos, dude. Like, you like tacos, right? So I'm going to delete that so it doesn't, you know, really remember that about me. I do like tacos, right? But I don't need chat GPT necessarily to remember this. But if I said, you know what, I'm going to do a bunch of meal planning. Okay, well, now I want you to help me with meal planning. I want you to really understand this. And so I might talk to it for 20 minutes about the type of food I like. Right? I like protein. Here's my macros. Here's what I'm trying to go for. I'm trying to bulk up. I'm trying to lean down. I'm trying. Preparing for a marathon. I'm, you know, whatever, right? And. And you can tell it those things and you can say, hey, add that to your memory. Now every time I'm asking it for a meal plan for the week, boom, right? Hey, my kid has, you know, my son is lactose intolerant and, you know, one of them's allergic to peanuts, and, you know, that's not the case, but I could tell it all those things, and it can then understand and remember that. And now you don't have to tell it every single time you ask it for something, it will consider that context always. So the context of different AI models is. Is determined in a few ways. But for ChatGPT, it has a core memory that's tied or it has a memory database tied to your account. Then the second place it gets context from is what you're talking about. Sorry, my voice is struggling just a little bit here.
So if we clear those memories out, John, that's a way to kind of reset.
Yes.
Yep.
You just click clear and boom, you're at a. You're a fresh, fresh start. Right. And that's fine. You can do that. And then you can, you know, tell it, talk to it for a minute, right? And just, you know, turn on the dictation and say, hey, my name is Justin. I live here. This is what I do. This is what I'm working on this kind of stuff I'm doing. Please add all this to your memory, right. And then you give it a little bit of context about who you are and that's going to be just a little bit smarter for you. Okay, so let's go, let's go here. Cost estimation for startup. I don't know what this is, right. I don't even remember what it's talking about. Web based memory activities. Okay, I know what this is. I know this is okay. But I had this conversation a while ago. I don't even know how long ago this was. Yeah, this is back in March. So yeah, it's at least a month ago. And, and I was asking it about like hey, what would it really take to build a react site? I was actually asking it about replit. Like hey replit this whole crazy thing. You know, what would the cost for that be? And so it kind of went through and did some estimations. Now even though I had that conversation a month ago, I can say, you know, create a, a bar graph comparing the different buckets of money needed to create this, this company. I don't know. Right. So but it remembers is now going to consider everything in my memory. Right? Your it's memory about me and then everything in this chat. I can pull up a chat at any time. Even if that chat is crazy long. It will consider everything in that chat. Okay, here's my core salaries and sales and marketing hardware, operational, you know, deployment benefits, taxes, contingency. There's your breakdown. To build and launch a software company in 2020, that's what it would take without AI basically. Right. So that's pretty cool, right? It made something neat. I didn't have to explain what I was doing again. I just went back to my conversation and got right back in. Okay, now one of the things that ChatGPT does that I love that other platform, no other platform that I've seen does this in the same way or as well is this projects function. It is awesome. The projects function is so good. You come in here and I say pool Pro, create project. Right. And so then I can come back even over to replit here. Where's, where's my replit? It is over here. Let's just minimize that and we'll bounce back to here. And by the way, this thing's, this thing's working. Let's see if it works. Hey, check that out. That's.
That's just.
I've got working things here. I can switch over to above ground pool and I want it. You Know this right here.
And then we'll go.
Okay. Next, materials. Sweet. I want, you know, I want fiberglass. Right. I think that's going to be nice. And I want some wood decking. That'll be great. I don't know if these prices are right. Whatever. But, you know, next features, I want some LED lighting. For sure. Definitely going salt water. That's me. And I need a waterfall. There's no way I'm getting waterfall for 30 bucks, by the way. I get that and then calculate the cost.
Boom.
I'm ready to pay that. If you can do that for that cost, I will pay you right now. And I'll take the pool. Right. So obviously, we need to do some calculations. We need to teach it a little bit about how much things cost and set our prices. But how crazy is that, guys?
Cool.
Like, it's done. It's ready to rock. And now it's interactive. Now I can request a detailed quote and hey, boom. Now it's going to take me down to here, get me to do this. Obviously, we could have it fill out a form and, you know, submit that and that then goes here. You know, whatever. A lot of things. We could have it. We could have it. Say, would you like to jump on a call right now with someone to talk to you about it? Yep. Click to start chat.
Boom.
And an AI agent starts talking to them in a natural voice and has a conversation, records the whole thing, answers all of their questions, and says, would you like to talk to the owner right now? Yep. Great. Let me forward. Let me. Let me call them up. Boat brings you into the conversation. You can create that whole thing in, like, 20 minutes with the right APIs and understanding how to do it. Okay. And without knowing how to code. It's crazy. It's crazy. Okay, so we're gonna go back up here, though. We're gonna say, I'm a pool builder. This is what I'm wanting to build. Right. Chat. GPT. Sorry, I went back to here. I went the wrong way. So I'll give it. I'll give it. I'll tell it this in a second. Now, the project is cool, guys, because it's going to keep my context, as you know, at the. At the account level. Each chat that we have in here at one understand, but also everything that we drop into here, every single thing that we do in here will be considered right. So if you drop in, you know, a knowledge base from your office or something or from a project or a bunch of things you've worked on. Right. Or You've got like a brief, Justin, for an ad agency, right? Or something that you need to, you need to consider all these brand guidelines and things. Hey, let's drop it all in here. Boom. Now you've got this spot where AI is going to be an expert on everything related to what you're doing. Okay? Now you can also add instructions. This is another place where it gets some of its context. You can say, hey, I want you to refer to me as, you know, your highness. Well, and let's see here, I'm building a business and I want to build it. In the way that Steve Jobs would, right? I want to be, I want to be hyper focused on amazing customer experiences and I want you to guide me to build an incredible business based off of what Steve Jobs would say. Also, don't just agree with me, agree with me on everything. Challenge my ideas. If I have a bad idea, tell me, don't just be a yes man. Help me get to the best answers possible every time. Okay, save. So now I've taught it a few ways or a few, I've given it some guidelines, right? I can choose whoever I want. Maybe you want Obama to be your, your guide, right? For your business. That's fine. You can do that too. Maybe you want Jesus to be your guide. You can literally do that, right? You can say, hey, I want to build everything around this type of a thing and this kind of feeling and whatever, every answer, I want it to be built that way. Okay? So now that I've got, you know, if I had files I don't hear now, so that's fine, I would add them. I've given it some instructions, I've given it a very high level what I'm going to be doing. And, and you know, I'm just going to click go. So now I'm just kind of starting the project. It's going to start considering and thinking updated save memory. Okay, got it. Your highness, here's a clear plan to get your pool builder website launched fast focused like Steve Jobs would demand on a magical customer experience from first click to form submission. So that's fantastic. So, so this is usually what I'm going to do, guys, before I even get into replit, right now it knows I like to use replit. So it's telling me what to do is saying, okay, you're going to do this inside of replit. We're going to make this happen. It's going to be freaking awesome. And you know, here's some bonus experience ideas, Steve Job style include a Pool vision board builder. Right. Shapes, colors, decking options. Add a see this in your yard. AR tool in phase two, show real time build progress. Like Domino's Pizza tracker, but for pools. All right. I like, like some of those things. I think a lot of people would like some of those things. So. So this is our idea fans. The whole thing answers all of their questions and says, would you like to talk to the owner right now? Yep. Great. Let me forward. Let me. Let me call them up. BO brings you into the conversation. You can create that whole thing in like. And so then I can come back even over to repl. Here. Where's. Where's my replit? It is over here. Let's just minimize the 20 minutes with the right APIs and understanding how to do it. Okay. And without knowing how to code. It's crazy. It's crazy. Okay, so we're gonna go back up here, though. We're gonna say, I'm a pool builder. This is what I'm wanting to build. Right? That and we'll bounce back to here. And by the way, this thing's. This thing's working. Let's see if it works. Chat GPT. Sorry, I went back to here. I went the wrong way. Hey, check that out.
That's. That's just.
I've got working things here. I can switch over. So I'll give it. I'll give it. I'll tell it this in a second. Now, the project is cool, guys, because it's going to keep above ground.
Pool.
And I want it, you know, this right here, we'll go my context, as you know, at the, at the account level, each chat that we have in here will understand, but also everything that we drop into here, every single thing. Okay, Next. Materials. Sweet. I want, you know, I want fiberglass, right? And we do in here will be considered. Right? So if you drop in, you know, a knowledge base from your office or something or from a project or a bunch of things you've worked on, right? Or you've got like everything that's going to be nice. And I want some wood decking. That'll be great. I don't know if these prices are right, whatever, but brief Justin, for an ad agency, right? Or something that you need to. You need to consider all these brand guidelines and things. Okay, save. So now I've taught it a few ways or a few. I've given it some guidelines, right? I can choose whoever I want. Maybe you want Obama to be your, your guide, right? For your business. That's fine. You can do that too. Maybe you want Jesus to be your guide. You can literally do that, right? You can say, hey, I want to build everything around this type of a thing and this kind of feeling and whatever. Every answer, I want it to be built that way. So now that I've got, you know, if I had files I don't hear now, so that's fine, I would add them. I've given it some instructions, I've given it a very high level what I'm going to be doing and you know, I'm just going to click go. So now I'm just kind of starting the project. It's going to start considering and thinking updated state memory. And you know, here's the bonus experience ideas, Steve Job style. Include a pool vision board builder, right? Shapes, colors, decking options. Add a see this in your yard AR tool in phase two to show real time. Next features. I want some LED lighting for sure. Definitely going salt water, that's me. And I need a waterfall. There's no way I'm getting waterfall for 3500 bucks, by the way. I get that and then calculate the cost, boom, I'm ready To pay that. If you can do that for that cost, I will pay you right now. And I'll take the pool. Right. So obviously, we need to do some calculations. We need to teach it a little bit about how much things cost and set our prices. But how crazy is that, guys?
Cool.
Like, it's done. It's ready to rock, and now it's interactive. Now I can request a detailed quote and hey, boom, now it's going to take me down to here, get me to do this. Obviously, we could have it fill out a form and, you know, submit that and that then goes here, you know, whatever. A lot of things. We could have it. We could have it say, hey, would you like to jump on a call right now with someone to talk to you about it? Yep. Click to start chat.
Boop.
And an AI agent starts talking to them in a natural voice and has a conversation, records the whole thing, answers all of their questions, and says, would you like to talk to the owner right now? Yep. Great. Let me forward. Let me. Let me call them up. Boop. Brings you into the conversation. Right? I'm build progress, like Domino's P3 pizza tracker, but for pools.
All right?
I like. I like some of those things. I think a lot of people would like some of those things. So. So this is our idea phase, right? Then what we're going to do is actually, you know what, we're going to pause right here. We're going to. Sorry, I went back to here. I went the wrong way. Pause right here. And we're going to go like this. We're going to go. Stop sharing. We're just going to talk for a second, okay. And then we're going to have you guys dive in. It's time to start building. So what I want you to. What I want to ask right now is. And we'll just go, you know, in a random order here, but I want you to tell me what it is you want to build. What is your business idea? So I'll give it. I'll give it. I'll tell it this in a second. Now, the project is cool, guys, because it's going to keep my context. As you know, at the. At the account level, each chat that we have in here at will, understand? But also everything that we drop into here, Every single thing. If you don't have a business idea, that's fine. Say that and we'll talk through it. Okay? But tell me what you want to build. What you should be doing here will be considered, right? So if you drop in, you know, trying to work on here, Ty, go for it.
So I've been building this thing already, actually. Just I've been building it old school style, I guess.
From scratch from. For this, for the purpose of this knowledge base. From your office or something, or from a project or a bunch of things you've worked on, right? Or you've got like a bus, even though you've worked on some things. I want you to build from scratch. But anyway, go ahead. Okay, well, brief Justin for an ad agency, right? Or something that you need to. You need to consider all these brand guidelines and things. Hey, let's drop it all in here. Boom. Now you've got this spot where AI is going to be an expert on everything related to what you're doing. Okay? Now you can also add instructions.
Oh, yeah. So the idea is to have it send texts to real estate agents as if it were a normal person and get them to send them off market properties that are in terrible condition that an investor could buy. Have the full conversation, find certain details like the address, the condition, things like that. Upload them to the screen and then notify the person on the website like, hey, here's a new property for you.
This is another place where it gets some of its context. You can say, hey, I want you to refer to me as, you know, your highness. Well, and let's see here.
You off market, they want an offer, and so then you can go through and find your offers or make your offers.
I love it. All right. I'm building a business and I want to build it perfect. So you're gonna. You're gonna start typing into. Just start a project. You can do this right now. You can start a project and just start. Type what you just told me. Type into the project prompt, right? And maybe you wanna give the, you know, the AI some instructions to consider things. Don't be a yes man, you know, challenge my ideas. By the way, guys, I'll copy that prompt in case you want it and paste it in so that you guys can, you know, if you want to, I don't know if you want to be called your highness, you can, you can get rid of that piece.
So do I need to get plus? Is it plus? Or pro for chat. GPT to do the projects.
Plus.
Yeah, plus we'll. Plus we'll unlock that piece there. Yeah.
Okay.
Okay. Instructions. In the way that Steve Jobs would. Right. I want to be. I want to be hyper focused on amazing customer experiences and, and I want you to guide me. I'm going to copy. Yeah, go ahead and, go ahead and get that set up while you're. Well, while we continue to do the next people. And Stephen, you're going to be up next, so get ready there to build an incredible business based off of what Steve Jobs would say. Also, here's my instruct. I just dropped it in the chat, but yeah, go for it, Stephen.
So I've narrowed it down to, well, like seven.
Don't just agree with me, agree with me on everything. Challenge my.
But I, I think the top three I want to do are either like a, A biographer tool where you interview someone for maybe an hour or two hours, and that's able to turn the questions that you asked into like an actual biography story with an arc rather than just a collection of stories. It's easy to get like a collection of memories from, from. I have a ton of memory ideas.
If I have a bad idea, tell me, don't just be a yes man. Help me get to the best.
It's from my grandpa and different relatives.
But it's like not actually answers possible every time. Okay, save. So now I've taught it a few ways or a few.
I've given it biography per se, but I'd like to do something with that. One of my other ideas is a Pulitzer Prize, so it's like not the Pulitzer Prize, but it's, it's like an award for like content creators. Maybe focus on people who make parody stuff.
Some guidelines. Right. Okay. So now that I've got, you know, if I had files I don't hear.
So that they can say that they got a. They want to pull it Star Prize, which is like a chicken. A pull. It is a chicken.
Yeah.
Anyhow, so a way to like be able to. For people to vote on that and, and actually award that. That's that now.
So that's fine. I would add Them I've given it some instructions. I've given it a very high level what I'm going to be doing and you know, I'm just going to click go. So now I'm just kind of starting the project. It's going to start considering and thinking updated saved memory. Okay, got it. Your highness. Here's a clear plan to get your pool builder website launched.
That's more of like a fun. I would enjoy that the most probably. And then the third tool would be, I know a couple of lawyers that would, that would probably pay for.
Like.
A scheduling tool or a personal injury lawyer that said he would pay a large amount to be able to easily submit requests for medical focused like Steve.
Jobs would demand on a magical customer experience from first click to form submission. So that's fantastic. So this is usually what I'm going to do, guys, before I even get into replit, right now it knows I like to use replit. So it's telling me what to do is say records.
There is like a streamlined way to do that. So it's not a rant like, okay.
You'Re going to do this inside of replit. We're going to make this happen. It's going to be freaking awesome. And you know, here's a bonus.
Those are the three. I don't know if I could build that in three. There is no way, no go with the lawyers.
I did legal lead generation for years. They got money.
They do have money.
That's the thing.
There's.
They do have money. So yeah, if I'm in it for making money, I know that's the best route.
Here's my opinion. Yeah, I think you should do all three of them.
Okay.
You're not. You maybe can't do all three of them during the class. Although I will say. Anybody familiar with Angel Studios?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So Angel Studios, the chief, the chief experience officer at the cxo. Super awesome guy. Took this class experience idea, Steve Job style. Include a pool vision board builder. Right. Shapes, colors, decking options. Add a see this in your yard AR tool in phase two. Show real time build progress. Like Domino's pizza tracker but for pools. All right, I like, I like some of those things. I think a lot of people would like some of those things. So, so this is our idea a couple weeks ago and he literally built five things during the class. He's, you know, he had just kind of like, you know, alt altitude slightly. If you've ever played a game, you're like, I want to try this character. I want to try this character. I'm going to try this character. You know, he kind of just kept doing that. He kept making all these things and. But like, he got a few of them working and up and, you know, really, really nice. And so I'll say that your first idea with the biographer thing is actually the most complex and is right. Then what we're going to do is actually, you know what, we're going to pause right here. We're going to pause right here and we're going to go like this. We're going to stop sharing. We're just going to talk for a second. Okay. And then therefore, I think you'll learn the most if you try to build that one right now. And it will require some AI integrations and some structure, thinking about how to. How to pull. Because you want to build a book, we're going to have you guys dive in. It's time to start building. So what I want you to. What I want to ask right now is. And we'll just go, you know, in book, you want to write a book. Remember, context is small. So how do you. How do you use small context to build something really big and complex and use AI to put it together in a really neat way, but still consider all of the different things that are happening? So I think that's a really neat idea, and I think it's something that a lot of people would use, too. Although it is probably one of the hard. You know, it's a B2C product, right? It's a consumer product. You're not going to make as much money as fast with it. Random order here. But I want you to tell me what it is you want to build. What is your business idea? If you don't have a business idea, that's fine. Say that and we'll talk through it. Okay. But tell me what you want to build. Justin is absolutely right. The lawyer one. I bet you're making money next week with it, right? So trying to work on here, Ty, Go for it.
So I've been building this thing already, actually. Just. I've been building it old school style, I guess.
And build that too. Build. Build your Pulitzer. Do it all.
Your.
Your Pulitzer thing, right? I have 60 chickens on my farm, by the way, so I know, I know all that.
You know what a pull it was. I didn't know what a pull it was until I. Yeah.
So, yeah, you make your decision, figure out what you want to do and then. And then just tell. Don't. Don't dive in, guys. When you Start your project, just do the first prompt, tell it what you want to do, and it's going to. From scratch from. For this, for the purpose of this class. Even though you've worked on some things, I want you to build from scratch. But anyway, go ahead.
Okay, well, yeah, so the idea is to have it send texts to real estate agents as if it were a normal person and get them to send them off.
Say some things and just ignore it. We'll get back to that in a second. Just get it, get the prompt started and you'll get going. All right, James.
So I want to create a. It may already exist, but I have a different version of it in my mind.
A off market properties that are in terrible condition that an investor could buy.
Have the full conversation AI powered networking tool that will actually create intelligent recommendations.
Station, find certain details. It's like the address, the condition, things.
Like that for relationships, professional relationships.
And then it will upload them to.
The screen and then notify the person on the website like, hey, here's a new property for you off market, they want an offer. And so then you can go through and find your offers or make your offers.
I love it.
All right, do some outreach assistance to help you connect with those people.
Perfect. So you're gonna, you're gonna start typing into. Start a project. You can do this right now.
You can start and then, and then use leverage AI to find a project and just start.
Type what you just told me type into the project prompt. Right. And maybe you want to give the, you know, the AI some instructions to consider things. Don't be a yes man.
You know, sales, intelligence and prospecting opportunities within, within that network so that you can add value easily. Add value.
So challenge my ideas. By the way, guys, I'll copy that prompt in case you want it and paste it in. Get its data from. Are you imagining it pulls from like LinkedIn or what's.
Yeah, I'm thinking all of the. It's, it's leveraging all of the social.
Sites and so that you guys can, you know, if you want to, I don't know if you want to be called your highness. You can, you can get rid of.
That piece to gather data, listen to conversations, understand who's doing what and who's working on what. I mean for all these years I, I would go. How I would get work is I would finish one.
So do I need to get plus, is it plus or pro for chat GPT to do the projects plus one.
Job and the CEO would recommend me to another person yeah, but the truth is there's hundreds of companies who were kind of dying on the vine and they don't know what to do. And I'm sitting here in my house.
Yeah, plus we'll, plus we'll unlock that piece there. Yeah, okay, perfect. Okay, instructions. I'm gonna copy. Yeah, go ahead and, go ahead and get that set up while you're.
Well, maybe I still don't know what to help them do, but how the hell do I get in front of them and find them? And I want to create this tool that will help me to do that.
Yeah, that's interesting. While we continue to do the next people and Steven, you're going to be up next, so get ready. That's super interesting. I wonder if Grot could do that. Okay. Yeah, I, I, I'm, I just did a quick Google search for like what kind of APIs you have into like X, which is my instruct. I just dropped it in the chat. But yeah, go for it, Stephen.
So I've narrowed it down to well like seven, but I, I think the top three I want to do are.
I think it's a good place for conversations happen. I don't know what exactly you can do with LinkedIn API stuff. I haven't really looked at that. You can sign in with LinkedIn, you can share something to LinkedIn, you can set up live events, add to profile. You can't search, you can't search the data related to what people are talking about or even their names and titles.
And things like that either. Like a biographer tool where you interview someone for maybe an hour or two hours and that's able to, that it.
Looks like at quick glance right now there might be workarounds, you might be able to hack it a little bit, but, but I can imagine that could be a little bit, a little bit difficult there.
But if you turn the questions that you asked into like if you start.
With X and you know, tap into some, some.
Yeah, try trying to an actual biography story with an arc rather than just a collection of stories. It's easy to get like a find.
Actual data of people. You're gonna have to pay for some sort of database that gets you collection.
Of memories from, from I have ton of memory people.
So if you're okay to do that, then great, go for it. But anyway, what do you think, what do you think about that?
Well, I don't know enough to think about it.
Fair enough. Fair enough. Yeah, I mean it's, it's, it's from.
My grandpa and different relatives but it's like not actually a biography per se. But I'd like to do something with that.
Yeah, the, the hardest thing there is.
Because five minutes ago you showed me something that looks.
So one of my other ideas is a pull it Star Prize.
It is from a technical standpoint, absolutely.
So it's like not the Pulitzer Prize, but it's. It's like an award for like content creators.
You can create that thing. But you're what. One of the things you're going to have to do is you're going to.
Have to point maybe focus on people who make parody stuff to data.
You need to be able to pull in people. So you're going to need names, probably faces and at least so that they.
Can say that they got a. They want to pull it Star Prize titles.
And then you're going to need to do listening on social networks and so.
Which is like a chicken. A pull. It is a chicken.
Yeah.
But anyhow, so a way to like be able to. For people to vote on that and maybe.
Maybe it's possible to have replit, you know, log in using your. You know a login you set up.
And then it can like search and actually award that. That's.
That's automatically for you. I'm not sure. I'm not sure how it can do that. I know that.
I love that.
It's more of like a fun. I would enjoy that the most probably. And then the third tool would be.
No, that's awesome now. I love it. I love the challenge.
There are ways a couple of lawyers that would. That would probably pay for.
Is that you can actually create using.
Something called Omni, like a ScheDuling tool.
Parser. OmniParser allows you to use AI to control the mouse. Right. And actually like act like a human to scroll and search through things. Right. And it can type things, it can click on buttons. It can do stuff and you could program it.
But that or a personal injury lawyer that said he would. He would pay.
That's a pretty intense. That's a pretty intense implementation.
What if.
What if we a large amount to be able to easily submit requests for medical records. There is like a streamlined way to do that. So it's not a rant like what.
If we started with Open Position.
Those are the three. I don't know if I could build that in three. There is no way.
That are already out there. And then. And then the.
The no go with the lawyers. I did legal lead generation for years. They got money.
They do have system looked for the. The just did A better job for you.
Sorry, there's.
They do have money. So, yeah, if I'm in it for making money, I know that's the best route.
But here's my opinion. Yeah, I think you should do all three of them. Okay, just for a second there. Say that one more time.
Well, you know how I usually find work that I need is I go to these, these forums or to these big.
You're not gonna. You maybe can't do all three of them during the class. Although I will say. Anybody familiar with Angel Studio job boards? Yeah.
And I'm spending all this time doing keyword searches trying to find.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So Angel Studio is the chief. The chief Experience officer, the CN people.
Who actually want to pay for my. My talent, my services.
Xo, super awesome guy, took this class a couple weeks ago and he literally built five things during the class. He's, you know, he had just kind.
Of like, if we could tell the machine to do that, I could give.
It some, you know, alt. Altitis. If you've ever played a game, you're like, I want to try this character. I'm going to try this character. I'm a crate here.
And it's looking for that. And then once it finds it, make that connection into listening part by this character.
You know, he kind of just kept doing that, like kept making all these things and. But like you got a few of them working and up and you know. Yeah. By the way, James, you're breaking up a little bit. We caught what you said that time. But something's really, really, really nice. And so I'll say that your first idea with the biographer thing is actually the most complex and Internet connection. I'm not sure what it is, but that works. So you're going to be creating. Therefore I think you'll learn the most if you try to build that one right now. And it will require some scraping type tools. And I love that idea. So I want you to take that idea and I want you to say high level. Like I want to build a site or a tool that lets me. Integrations and some structure thinking about how to. How to pull. Because you want to build a book, you want to write a book. Remember, context is small. So how do you. How do you use small context to build something really big and complex and use AI to put it together in a really say, say I want to build a site. I'm going to build a website that allows me to, you know, search for, you know, job postings on these types of boards. And this one and this one and this one. And these are the types of things that I normally do in a way but still consider all of the different things that are happening. So I think that's a really neat idea and I think it's something I'm looking for this type of information. So just give it like. And guys, you don't have to get deep into it Right now I want three sentence description of what you're trying to build. But I like that one, James. I think it's a good place to start and then a lot of people would use two. Although it is probably one of the hard. You know, it's a B2C product, right. It's a consumer product. You're not going to make as much money as fast with it. Justin is absolutely right. The lawyer one. I bet you're making money next week with it. Right. So you, as you get more advanced, maybe you can try to dive into some people APIs that will cost money, right. And build that too. Build, build your Pulitzer. Do it all. Your, your Pulitzer thing, right. You won't be able to get into LinkedIn and Facebook and things like that unless you do some hacks to get around it. So anyway, but I love that.
Should I start with something easier? Should I just create a different business for, for the purposes of this class?
I like this. I have 60 chickens on my farm, by the way, so I know, I.
Know all you knew how to pull it was. I didn't know what to pull it was until like. Yeah.
So yeah, you make your decision, figure out what you want to do and then, and then just tell.
Biographer would be.
Don't, don't dive in, guys. When you start your project, just do the first prompt, tell it what you want to do and it's gonna scraping tool. I think it's useful. I think it's quite useful. You know, you could point it at certain place and things and just ignore it. We'll get back to that in a second. Just get it, get the prompt started and you'll get going. All right. Places and say, all right. I want you to check this every day or five times a day. And whenever you find, you know, a really good opportunity, I want you to ping me, I want you to text me and then I'll just reply back and then you can, you know, send something. You can have it auto post for you. You can do a lot of things probably. So I think that's pretty cool. All right. Who James?
So I want to create a. It may already exist, but I have a different Version of it in my mind a AI powered networking tool that will actually create intelligent recommendations.
We're not done yet, Justin.
Yep.
For relationships, professional relationships. And then it will go for it.
I'm gonna use my cousin's business. I've been wanting to help him out on the side so this is perfect. He's got a pressure washing business down in New Orleans and I've been thinking about a calculator for him.
So do some outreach assistance to help you connect with those people and then, and then use leverage AI to find sales intelligence and prospecting opportunities within with.
A little bit like the pool when you stood up but you know price per square foot, surface area software wash.
Versus hard wash within that network so that you can add value easily add value.
So types of chemicals he uses. You know why he's the best around and he's real detailed about things and meticulous so I'd like to pull that through. And his lead generation. Well you know landing page based website.
Application get its data from. Are you imagining it pulls from like LinkedIn or what's.
Yeah, I'm thinking all of the, it's, it's leveraging all of the social sites to gather data, listen to conversations, understand who's doing what and who's working.
Calculator lead generated.
Heck yeah. I love it. All right guys, you all have great ideas.
I mean for all these years I, I would go. How I would get work is I.
Would finish one ideas. I know what your, your ideas are now. It's awesome. The crazy thing is we're going to be, we're going to sit here guys, we're going to build five businesses together, right? And some of you guys are going to take this off and you're going to actually make a bunch of money with it and it's going to be awesome. I'm not going to be a pool builder so I'm not going to do mine but I will build it out and watch an all job and the.
CEO would recommend me to another person. But the truth is is there's hundreds of companies who were kind of dying on the vine and they don't know what to do. And I'm sitting here in my house, maybe I still don't know what to help them do but how the hell do I get in front of them and find them? And I want to create this tool that will help me to do that.
Yeah, that's also you know we'll, we'll, we'll bounce back and forth here. So the next step guys, I'M going to come back in here, we're going to jump back into chat GPT. Okay, so here I am in my pool pro, my new chat. Hold on, I'm going to click refresh. When. Yeah, if I, if I leave it, then I have to come back. Okay, here we go. So it's just asking some things. So here's where we're going to. We're going to do something pretty fun. We've told it at a high interesting spaces list more. That's super interesting. I wonder if Grot could do that. Okay. Yeah, I just did a quick Google search for like what kind of APIs you have into like X which I think is a good place for conversations to have happen. I don't know what exactly you can do with LinkedIn level. What we want to do. Okay, so what I want to do is this. Now what we're going to build now is a business plan. Okay, this, this course is not about vibe coding and just looking at some cool software. It's about building a business. Which means you need people to pay you money for this API stuff. I haven't really looked at that. You can sign in with LinkedIn, you can share something to LinkedIn, you can set up live events, add to profile. You can't search, you can't search the data related to what people are talking about or even their names and titles and things like that. It looks like at quick glance right now there might be workarounds, you might be able to hack it a little bit or you need to make money with this. Right? So maybe, maybe James, you're not getting people to pay you. Maybe you're building an internal tool for yourself. So you're making money with. That's fine, that's great. But the point is there's still a business plan around it and you need to refine the ideas. And so the way that you're going to do that is like this. Okay, this is a really neat tool where we kind of flip this but, but I can imagine that could be a little bit, a little bit difficult there. But if you, if you start with X and you know, tap into some, some. Yeah, try trying to find actual data of people. You're going to have to pay for some sort of database place that gets you people. So if you're okay to do that, then great, go for it. But script on AI. Instead of us asking the AI to do a bunch of things, we're going to ask the AI to interview us. Okay, so here's how we do that. We Say, I want you to ask me one question.
Should we be doing this along with you or what?
I will copy this prompt to you, and then you'll start there. And then we're going to take like about 15 minutes anyway. What do you think? What do you think about that?
Well, I don't know enough to think about it.
Fair enough. Fair enough. Yeah. I mean, it's, It's. Yeah. The hardest thing there's.
Five minutes ago, you showed me something that looks so easy.
It is. From a technical standpoint, absolutely. Just kind of our own time. And you'll each get an opportunity to sit there and really kind of dive in. Okay.
All right.
So you get only 15 minutes to build your entire business plan. All right. All right. So I want you to ask me one question. I'm actually. I want you to interview me one question at a time about my business. I want to create that thing. But you're what? One of the things you're going to have to do is you're going to have to point to data. You need to be able to pull in people. So you're going to need names, probably faces, and at least titles. And then you're going to need to do listening on social networks. And so maybe, maybe it's possible to have replit, you know, log in. You. Whoops. I want you to ask about the name, the, the colors, the feel, the usps, the, you know, the unique selling propositions of what that is. Right. Why are people going to choose us over someone else? The. The monetization strategy and everything else using your, you know, a login you set up, and then it can, like, search automatically for you. I'm not sure. I'm not sure how it can do that.
I know that I. I love that I stumped you.
No, that's awesome now. I love it. I love the challenge. There are ways that you can actually create using something called Omni. You think we need to discuss to build a great business plan. Go. Okay, so then what it's going to do here, guys, is it's going to. I'm gonna. I'm gonna kick this over to you guys. There you go. And it's gonna say, all right, your highness. Parser Omni Parser allows you to use AI control the mouse. Right. And actually, like, act like a human to scroll and search through things. Right. And it can type things, it can click on buttons, it can do stuff, and you could program it. But that. That's a pretty intense. That's a pretty intense implementation. What if, what if we let's build this right away. One clean, intentional question at a time. What's the name of your pool building business? Or what names are you considering? This will drive everything from your brand voice to the domain name and logo. So. So maybe I don't know. Right. Like, I'm not sure. Maybe you do know. That's great. Right? Like Justin, you know the name. That's great. But I'm. I'm not sure. Do you have any ideas? Right.
What if we started with open positions that are already out there and then, and then the, the system looked for the. The just did a better job for you.
Sorry. Well, absolutely. Right. Okay. Thinking like jobs would clean premium emotional resonance. Okay. Still water. Blue Haven Sanctuary Pools. Aquaforma, Solara. Build my pool pool craft. Now, guys, if I'm actually building a business, I'm going to take a second and be like, you know what? I kind of like Blue Haven. Like, that's cool. It's like a home. It's dreamy, relaxing. Like that's, that's just for a second there. Say that one more time.
Well, you know how I usually find work that I need is I go to these, these forums or to these big job boards.
Yeah.
And I'm spending all this time doing keyword searches trying to find people who actually want to pay for my, my talent, my services.
That's pretty neat. Right? So first I'm going to jump over to Godaddy real quick and I'm going to check to see if it's available. Blue haven.com. okay. I can search.
There's no way.
Yeah, I'm, I'm, I, I agree with you.
If we could tell the machine to do that, I could give it some.
You will be surprised. Maybe we spread. Okay, so it looks like it's taken. Now since it's taken, I'm going to check it crate.
And it's looking for that. And then once it finds it, make that connection into listening part.
Yep. By the way, James, you're breaking up a little bit. We caught what you said that time, but something's wrong with your Internet connection. I'm not sure what it is, but that works. So you're going to be creating bluehaven.com. i want to just see like what is this? Like if it exists. Blue Haven Pools. All right, so I'm not going to do that. Okay, so we're just gonna say, all right, scrap that plan. So I'm gonna bounce back to Chad GPT. I'm looking at another one. Right. That's what you want to do though right now if it was some scraping type tools and I love that idea. So Blue Haven law firm. That's okay. I can compete. I can be. I want you to take that idea and I want you to say high level. Like, I want to build a site or a tool that lets me. And say, say I want to build a site. I want to build a website that allows me to, you know, search for. I can, I can have some, some. I'm not gonna have any trademark problems because I'm in a totally different industry. Right. So I'm going to try something else. So that's awesome. We'll try verde. Instead of blue, we'll try verde, right? Verde pools. Okay, so I'm gonna go Verde pools. Dot, you know, job postings on these types of boards. And this one and this one and this one. And these are the types of things that I normally do. And I'm looking for this type of information. So just give it like. And guys, you don't have to get deep into it right now. I want three sentence.
Okay.
And we'll see what happens. Holy crap, it's available. That's actually really surprising. Verde is pretty common and that's a pretty decent one. I'm gonna roll with this. I like this. If I were doing a pool business, I would buy this domain right now and I would, I would brand Bear day is cool. It's green. It's. It's gonna drive everything, right? Like, I. I already have, like, answered a bunch of questions. All right, we're gonna roll with Verde description of what you're trying to build. But I like that one, James. I think it's a good place to start. And then you, as you get more advanced, maybe you can try to dive into some people APIs. That will cost money, right? You won't be able to get into LinkedIn and Facebook and things like that unless you do some hacks to get around it. So anyway, but I love that. Can I start with something actually really surprising? Verde is pretty common and that's a pretty decent one. I'm gonna roll with this.
Start with something easier. Should I just create a different business? For. For the purposes of this class, I.
Like the script rules. The domain is available. Let's. Let's go. Whatever, right? So you could talk to it however you want. I like this. If I were doing a pool business, I would buy this domain right now and I would. I would brand them and Verde is cool. It's green. It's. It's going to drive everything, right? Like, I I already have, like, answered a bunch of questions. All right, we're gonna roll with verde pools. The domain is available scraping tool. I think it's useful. I think it's quite useful. You know, you could point it at certain people. You could talk like me. You can talk like an idiot, or you can, you know, whatever. So now it's all, let's go, whatever. Right? So you could talk to it however you want. You can place this and say. All right, I want you to check this every day or five times a day. And whenever you find, you know, a really good opportunity, I'm just gonna. Okay, we've answered that question. I went back and forth. Okay, great. What's the next question? Okay, so to ping me, I want you to text me and then I'll just reply back and then you can, you know, send something. You can have it auto post for you. You can do a lot of things probably. So I think that's pretty cool. All right, who could talk like me? You can talk like an idiot or you can, you know, whatever. So now it's going to. Okay, we've answered that question. I went back and forth. Okay, great. What's the next question? Okay, so this is where you guys go ahead and dive in. So I want you to. This is where you guys go ahead and dive in. So I want you to. I want you to copy the. The prompt that I gave you in the chat. I want you to copy the. The prompt that I gave you in the chat. We're not done yet, Justin. Yeah, yeah, right. I want you to interview me one, you know, one question at a time. Go for it.
I'm gonna use my cousin about my business.
I want you to ask about name, right? So it'll take you through and I want you to get through at least business.
I've been wanting to help him out on side, so this is perfect. He's got a pressure washing business down, right?
I want you to interview me one, you know, one question at a time in New Orleans.
And I've been thinking about a calculator for him.
So about my business, I want you to ask about name, right? So it'll take you through and I want you to get through at least eight questions, okay? And remember, you can always come back and refine later, after the course, later tonight, whatever you want to do, right? Eight questions, okay? And remember, you can always come back and refine later, after the course, later tonight. Whatever you want to do, right?
A little bit like the pool when you stood up, but you know, price per Square foot surface area software wash versus hard wash.
But, but for now we're going to take 15 minutes. Right now it's 223 types of chemicals he uses.
You know why he's the best around and he's real detailed about things and meticulous.
But, but for now we're going to take 15 minutes. Right now it's 2:23 and you get until 2:38. Literally 15 minutes. Okay. And I'm going to.
So I'd like to pull that through.
And his lead generation and you get until 2:38. Literally 15 minutes. Okay. And I'm going to well you know.
Landing page based website application.
Sit here. I'm going to do the same thing. I'm going to keep, I'll share my screen a little bit and I might actually have a snack because I actually haven't eaten for like seven hours. So I might do that while you guys are working on it.
But calculator lead generated.
Heck yeah. I love it. All right guys, you all have great. I sit here, I'm gonna do the same thing. I'm gonna keep, I'll share my screen a little bit and I might actually have a snack because I actually haven't eaten for like seven hours. So I might do that while you guys are working on it. But I'm going to keep asking, you know, answering the questions for mine and working through through this problem. Ideas. I know what your, your ideas are now. It's awesome. The crazy thing is we're going to be, we're going to, I'm going to keep asking, you know, answering the questions for mine and working through, through this problem but you guys go ahead, do your thing and we'll chat in a few minutes. Take your. Guys, we're going to build five businesses together, right? And some of you guys are going to take this off and you're going to ask and obviously feel free to ask a question if you want but you guys go ahead, do your thing and we'll chat in a few minutes. Actually make a bunch of money with it and it's going to be awesome. I'm not going to be a pool builder so I'm not going to do mine but I will build it out and watch and all. Okay. And obviously feel free to ask a question if you want. Also, you know we'll, we'll, we'll bounce back and forth here. So the next step guys, I'm going to come back in here, we're going to jump back into chat GPT. Okay so here I am in My pool pro, my new chat. Hold on. I'm going to click refresh. When? Yeah, if I. If I leave it, then I have to come back. Okay, here we go. So it's just asking some things. So here's where we're going to. We're going to do something pretty fun. We've told it at a high level. Level what we want to do.
Okay?
So what I want to do is this. Now, what we're going to. Build now is a business plan. Okay? This, this course is not about vibe coding and just looking at some cool software. It's about building a business, which means you need people to pay you money for this. It. Or you need to make money with this. Right? So maybe, maybe James, you're not. You're not getting people to pay you. Maybe you're building an internal tool for yourself so you're making money. But that's fine, That's great. But the point is there's still a business plan around it and you need to refine the ideas. And so the way that you're going to do that is like this. Okay, this is a really neat tool where we kind of flip this. Script on AI Instead of us asking the AI to do a bunch of things, we're going to ask the A. AI to interview us. Okay? So here's how we do that. We say, I want you to ask me. One question.
Should we be doing this along with you or what?
I will copy this prompt to you, and then you'll start there. And then we're going to take like about 15 minutes, Just kind of our own time. And you'll each get an opportunity to sit there and really kind of dive in. Okay? All right. So you get only 15 minutes to build your entire business plan. All right? All right, So I want you to ask me one question. I'm going to actually, I want you to interview me one question at a time about my business. I want. To.
You.
Whoops. I want you to ask about the name, the. The colors, the feel, the usps, the, you know, the unique selling propositions of what that is. Right? Why are people going to choose us over someone else? The monetization strategy and everything else. You think we need to discuss to build a great business plan. Go. Okay, so then what it's going to do here, guys, is it's going to. I'm gonna. I'm gonna kick this over to you guys. There you go. And it's gonna say, all right, your. It. Let's build this right away. Like Justin, you know the name. That's great. But I'm not sure. Do you have any ideas? Right. Well, absolutely. Right. Okay. Thinking like jobs would clean premium emotional resonance case Stillwater, Blue Haven Sanctuary Pools, Aquaforma Solar, Or build my pool pool craft. Now, guys, if I'm actually building a business, I'm going to take a second and be like, you know what? I kind of like Blue Haven. Like, that's cool. It's like a home. It's dreamy, relaxing. I like. That's, that's. Remember guys, that you have really a really smart strategist asking you these questions. Right.
That's what you want to do though, right? Now if it was Blue Haven law firm, that's okay. I can compete. I can be, I can, I can have some, some. We'll try Verde, right? Verde Pools. Okay, so I'm going togoverity pools dot com.
Okay.

And obviously feel free to ask a question if you want. Guys, it just asked me about a logo. And I said my answer was we'll worry about a logo later. Next question. Okay, we will tomorrow.
Okay.
Guys, it just asked me about a logo, And I said my answer was, we'll worry about a logo later. Next question. Okay, we will tomorrow. Okay.
How many questions should we keep going with? You're on mute, John.
Yeah. Less than 10. Less than 10. If you're. If you're already done with that, then, you know, call it good. Does anybody else need. Is anybody else done? Are you guys feeling like you're doing pretty well?
I'm not done. I was just curious.
Yeah, cool. Yeah, I've done, like, 12. I'm fast, and I'm probably pretty close to being done, but. Remember, guys, that you have really a really smart strategist. Asking you these questions. If it's asking you a question and you're just not sure you want some ideas, be like, give me some ideas, right? And then. And then, you know, riff off of it, right? It's still you. It's still you, but. But it's going to be, you know, helping pull out the good ideas and maybe even give you some new ones. You guys take about 90 seconds. Finish this up here.
How many questions should we keep going with?
Just remember this isn't like the end all. We're gonna do some more work on it, too. So it's okay if it isn't exactly perfect and you've answered every.
You're on mute, John.
Yeah. Less than 10. Less than 10. If you're. If you're already done with that, then, you know, call it good. Does anybody else need every single question you can think of? Guys, it just asked me about a loco. Is anybody else done? Are you guys feeling like you're doing pretty well?
I'm not done.
I was just curious, and I said my answer was we'll worry about a logo later. Next question. Okay, we will tomorrow. Okay, Go. Yeah, I've done, like, 12 I've asked, and I'm probably pretty close to being done, but. All right, guys, time to dive in here. So. Some of you may have watched my screen, some of you may have not. I got through 15 questions, Which is actually quite a bit in 15 minutes, but. And. I feel like I'm really excited about starting a pool company, like, Through this stuff. Like, it's going to be really good, and I think it's a really good business plan.
Don't do it.
Fair enough. The only thing I don't know is, you know.
How many questions should we keep going with how to dig a hole.
So I'm not great at that. I do have a tractor, though. I live on a farm and I have a tractors, So I kind of know how to dig a hole, but I don't have a backhoe and I'm not going to get into that. I have. Too busy.
You're on mute, John.
Yeah. Less than 10. Less than 10. If you're, if you're already done with that, then, you know, call it good. Does anybody else need. So, so now it's going to keep asking you questions. Theoretically. Foreign. Right. Like it's just going to keep going and going and going and going and going and eventually get to a point where it's like, okay, is anybody else done? Are you guys feeling like you're doing pretty well?
I'm not done. I was just curious a couple more minutes.
Yeah, cool. Yeah, I've done like 12. I feel like I have enough information. I'm ready to build a business plan, but we're just going to stop right now. We're going to say this. Fast and I'm probably pretty close to being done, but. Please build me a 1500 word business plan. Using canvas or using. Yeah, using the canvas. Let's say that. Okay. And all of these answers. Okay, so. Copy. I will send this over to you guys on chat so you can copy and paste it and then what this is going to do. Guys, Canvas is a neat tool in Chat GPT that opens up. It's actually making two of them, but it opens up a. Sidebar and actually allows you to have some documents. Right. So it's, it's making a couple different options here at the same time. Business statement, company overview. Yeah, in a. Sometimes we'll do this every once in a while. You guys take about 90 seconds to finish this up here. I always just like, hey, please help us make Chat GPT better. And so give two responses. I'm. Not going to read the whole thing, but right off the bat, Right off the bat, I think I like the left one better. Just remember this isn't like the end all. We're going to do some more work on it too. So it's okay if it isn't exactly perfect and you've answered every. Single question you can think of. Team tools assistant. This kind of cool. Hold on. Yeah, that's pretty neat. Okay. I. It didn't really let me select one, but okay, that's what we're going to do. Going to go with response one here. Yeah, I prefer this one. Perfect. Okay, so. I now have this nice plan that's been made in canvas. Right. This is the canvas tool now in Canvas, I can actually come in here and I can type, right? I can, I can write things if I want. I could change it. It's a fully editable document and then it saves it right here in the chat. And then I can even have, you know, AI update it and change things and whatever. By the way, if you type and edit a bunch of. Things, it is going to, it will erase all those things and change it. If you ask AI to do anything. Okay, so bottom line is pretty, pretty nice. I now have a business plan. Okay, this is, this is what it looks like it's gonna have. Looks like I'm gonna make $500,000 my first, First 12 months. Right? According to its plan, right? That might be useful, might be not, but at least now I. Guess take about 90 seconds. Finish this up here. Always remember, this isn't like the end all. We're going to do some more work on it too. Have this framework, right? So we're going to, we're going to come back to this in a minute. Okay, go ahead and do that, guys. Go ahead and, you know, give it that prompt. You know, you should have your 1500 word business plan and then as soon as you have that, then you're just going to say this. So it's okay if it isn't exactly perfect and you've answered every, Every single question you can think. Now build a feature. A full, I'm going to say a full feature.
Lists.
For everything, front end and back end that we will need. Let's set up. Let's. Let's be sure to include a Postgres. SQL database in this setup for. Data persistence. Okay? So copy that. I'll send it to you guys and you can use it. There you go. And you don't need to know what a Postgres SQL database is yet. That's fine. Oh, I. All right, guys, time to dive in here. So some of you may have watched my screen, some of you may have not. I got through 15 questions, which is actually quite a bit in 15 minutes. But. And add one more thing to that thing I just sent. You guys say make this in. Canvas, right? That's. That's what you want to do as well. Okay. Make this in Canvas. Stop.
What's the canvas portion of it? Did I miss that?
The Canvas tool is this tool that you see on screen right now. I feel like I'm really excited about starting a pool company. Like after talking through this stuff, like it's going to be really good and I think it's a really good business plan.
I Think, don't do it.
Fair enough. The only thing I don't know is you know. How to dig a hole. So I'm not great at that. I do have a tractor, though. I live on a farm and I have a tractor where it, it builds like a document for you here on the right side of the screen.
Oh, okay.
It becomes an editable document and you can do some cool stuff with it. All right, So I kind of know how to dig a hole, but I don't have a backhoe and I'm not going to get into that. I'm too busy. So. So now it's going to keep asking you questions, theoretically forever. Right. Like it's just going to keep going and going and going and going and going and eventually get to a point where it's like, okay, I. Feel like I have enough information, I'm ready to build a business plan. But we're just going to stop right now. We're going to say, All right, Please build me a 1500 word business plan using. All right, so I.
It looks like mine. It threw into the same. Says the. Integrated it into the business plan. Canvas. Oh, I'll say build it on a separate canvas.
Got it. Yeah, just say I need you to separate it. I need the business plan to be the business plan. I need a separate canvas. Canvas or using. Yeah, using the canvas. We'll just say that. Okay. And all of these answers. Okay, so copy. I will send this over to you guys on chat so you can copy and paste it and what this is going to do. Guys, can.
You.
Canvas is a neat tool in chat. GBT that opens up. It's actually making two of them, but it opens up a site for the dev plan or the feature plan. Right. Sidebar. And actually allows you to have some documents. Right. So it's, it's making it clear. Just take a second to get.
Yep.
I'll give you guys like two minutes to have it. Have it do that. Our timelines are crazy here. We're building, we're building business plans in 15 minutes. Dev plans, Couple different options here at the same time. Business statement, company overview. Yeah. And sometimes it'll do this every once in a while. In five minutes.
That's.
That's kind of blowing my mind right now, by the way. As a, as a ad, it's just.
Like, hey, please help us make ChatGPT better. And so to give two responses, I'm not going to read the whole thing, but right off the bat, dev guy. And they're good too.
And I've Been using this to speed up other projects already, so it's still just kind of crazy.
Yeah, for sure. Right off the bat, I think. All right, guys, time to dive in here. So some of you may have watched my screen, some of you may have not. I got through 15 questions, which is actually quite a bit in 15 minutes, but. And, and it's crazy what is now possible with AI.
It's.
It's just flipped everything and it's just getting started. I feel like I'm really excited about starting a pool company. Like, after talking. I like the left one better. Sorry, guys. We'll talk about that more in a bit. Team Tools Assistant. Kind of cool. Hold on. Yeah, that's pretty neat. Okay, I. It didn't really let me select one, but. Okay, that's what we're going to do. We're gonna. All right, guys, so at this point, you should have a business plan that's in your chat. You can access it right here by just scrolling up in the chat. You can close out of this. This thing here. But you've got. You've got your feature list. Go with response one here. Yeah, I prefer this one. Perfect. Okay, so I now have this nice plan that's been made in canvas. Right. The canvas is the canvas tool. Now in Canvas, I can actually come in here and I can type. Right. I can. I can write. Thinking through this stuff like it's going to be really good, and I think it's a really good business plan.
Don't do it.
Fair enough. The only thing I don't know is you know how to dig a hole. So I'm not great at that. I do have a tractor, though. I live on a farm and I have a tractors, which is just kind of a feature by feature list. And then you've got this business plan right here. You can click on it anytime to open it back up. So here's what I want you to do. I want you to open up your business plan. If I want, I could change it. It's a fully editable document and then it saves it right here in the chat. So I kind of know how to dig a hole, but I don't have a backhoe and I'm not going to get into that. I'm too Busy in. In ChatGPT. And you're going to copy the whole thing. And the way to do that is to just push this little copy button. Okay. And then I can even have, you know, AI update it and change things and whatever. By the way, if you type and edit a bunch of things it is going to. It will erase all those things and change it if you ask AI to do anything. Okay, so bottom line is pretty, pretty nice. I now have a business plan. As soon as you've done that, you're going to bounce into Grok and you're going to get rid of your P5JS project. You're going to start a new thing here and you're going to say the following. I want you to evaluate this, this plan for building pools. Okay, this is, this is what it looks like it's gonna have. Looks like I'm gonna make $500,000 my first. So. So now it's gonna keep asking you questions theoretically forever, right? Like it's just gonna keep going and going and going and going and going and eventually get to a point where it's like, okay, I feel like I have enough information, I'm ready to build a business plan. But we're just gonna stop right now. We're gonna say this in this company.
Oh, so you make them work together.
Please build me a 1500 word business plan using. Correct. Yeah, we're gonna have. Instead of, you know, going to paying a big, you know, just 12 months. Right. According to its plan. Right. That might be useful, might be not. But at least now I have this framework. Right. So we're gonna, we're gonna come back to this in a minute. Okay, go ahead and do that guys. Go ahead and you know, give it that prompt. You know, you should have your 1500 word business plan. And then as soon as you have that, then you're just going to say this, Pete, private equity or, or you know, now build a feature canvas are using. Yeah, using the canvas. Let's say that. Okay. And all of these answers. Okay, so copy full. I'm going to say a full feature.
List.
For everything, front end and back end that copy. I will send this over to you guys on chat so you can copy and paste it. And what this is going to do. Guys, Canvas is a neat tool in chat GBT that opens up. It's actually making two of them, but it opens up a site we will need. Let's set up, let's McKinsey or you know, consulting company, whatever you're trying to do, you're just gonna have GROK to it. And not only that, I want you to evaluate this plan for building pools in this company. I'm starting and I'm going to paste the whole plan and then I'm going to push the deep search button on Grok.
Oh yeah.
And then I'm just going to click go. Okay. Sit back and let's be sure to include a postgres SQL database in this setup for data persistence. Okay. So copy that. I'll send it to you guys and you can use it. There you go. And watch it do its deep search.
Okay, you restate that. While it's thinking.
We.
I'm a little behind here.
You're good.
We copy the.
Copy the business plan and feature list all in. Not the sidebar. And actually allows you to have some documents. Right. So it's. It's making a list. Don't worry about the feature list right now. We're just doing the business plan.
Okay.
And what's. What's the prompt? We ask it.
Yeah. All you're going to say is, I want you to evaluate this plan for what? Couple different options here at the same time. Business statement, company overview. Yeah, sometimes it'll do this every once in a while. And you don't need to know what a postgres SQL database is yet. That's fine. Just like, hey, please help us make ChatGPT better. And so give two responses. I'm add one more thing to that thing I just sent you guys. Say make this in Canvas. That's what you want to do as well. This idea that I'm working on in this company I'm starting. Right, Whatever. So that's it. And then copy or paste the plan in and click the deep search. Activate the deep search button and click go this in Canvas. Stop.
What's the. Canvas portion of it? Did I miss that?
The Canvas tool is this tool that you see on screen right now. I'm not going to read the whole thing, but right off the bat where it. It builds like a document for you here on the right side of the screen.
Okay.
It becomes an editable document and you can do some cool stuff with it. Right off the bat, I think. Think I like the left one better. Team Tools Assistant. All right, So guys, I mean mine right now. I mean, you can watch yours. You can see what it's doing. You kind of read as it assesses the business plan, but mine's found 53 sources already. 53 web pages. Just to assess the business plan and evaluate it all. What's going on here? Like, what are all the different things? How are we going to. Kind of fun this kind of cool. Hold on. Yeah, that's pretty neat. Okay. I. It didn't really let me select one, but okay, that's what we're going to do. We're going to make this. Yeah.
And it's doing pricing and all kind of stuff.
Yep.
It's going to go through. I've had, I've had this deep search take up to eight minutes. I don't think it's going to take eight minutes for, for this. I think it's going to take maybe two or three.
But it's got the global pressure wash market projected.
All. Right. All right.
So it looks like mine. It threw into the same. Says the.
Integrated it into the Go with response one here. Yeah, I prefer this one. Perfect. Okay, so I now have this nice plan that's been made in canvas, right?
The business plan. A canvas. Oh, I'll say build it on a separate canvas.
Got it. Yeah. Just say depth of the research that it is doing right now, guys, is mind blowing, right? If you were to have humans do this and then not only have humans do it, but have humans synthesize it and then put it together and come to conclusions and then write out a report to evaluate your business plan. And it's weeks of work, guys. I need you to separate it. I need the business plan to be the business plan. I need a separate canvas for the dev plan or the feature plan. Right. So yeah, just take a second. I'll give you guys like two minutes to have it. Have it do that. Canvas is the canvas tool. Now, in Canvas, I can actually come in here and I can type, right? I can, I can write things if I want. I could change it. It's a fully editable document and then it saves it right here in the chat, Our time, right? At least tens of thousands of dollars that you'd be spending on employees. And then I can even have, you know, AI update it and change things and whatever. By the way, if you type and edit a bunch of things, it is going to, it will erase all those things and change it. So now it's given me a great overview. Here's a market competition, financial feasibility recommendations, survey note. Okay, here's some cool stuff and whatever. Here's all these different things. Now I'm not going to read through it. All right? Now I recommend you guys read yours at some point, right? But now what I'm going to do is this. Timelines are crazy here. We're building, we're building business plans in 15 minutes. Dev plans in five minutes.
That's, that's kind of blowing my mind right now, by the way, as a, as a ad dev guy.
And they're good too.
And I've been using this to speed up other projects already. So it's still just.
I'm going to copy actually. Sorry, sorry. Before I do that, I'm going to unclick Deep Search and I'm going to say, I'm going to click the think button. Okay? So there's Deep search and there's think on Grok. And I'm going to say please consider, please put or please put together if you ask AI to do anything. Okay? So bottom line is pretty, pretty nice. I now have a business plan. Okay, this is, this is what it looks like it's gonna have. Looks like I'm gonna make $500,000 my first.
Kind of crazy.
Yeah, for sure it is crazy. What is now possible with AI. It's, it's just flipped everything and it's just getting started, guys. We'll talk about that more in a bit. First 12 months, right? According to its plan, right? That might be useful, might be not, but at least now I have this framework, right? And so we're gonna, we're gonna come back to this in a minute, okay? A list of 20 recommendations. You have to improve the business plan based on your research.
Why do you land on 20, John? You think that's a golden number?
It's probably, it's a pretty good one. It's pretty in depth. You could probably get a lot even if you just said foreign, Guys. So at this point you should have a business plan that's in your chat. You can access it. Go ahead and do that, guys. Go ahead and you know, give it that prompt. You, you know, you should have your 1500 word business plan. And then as soon as you have that, then you're just going to say this now build a feature at 8.
But, well, then you can overanalyze.
Probably 20 is a lot, right? So anyway, I'm going to paste this thing in the chat there. If you want to grab that prompt and then I'm just going to say go. Okay, so now it's going to think about every full, I'm going to say a full feature, lists for everything, everything. It just learned about the business plan. It's going to think about how it can improve it. What you know, hey, I want 20 recommendations basically to improve the business plan right here by just scrolling up in the chat, you can close out of this, this thing here. But you've got, you've got your feature list, which is just kind of a feature by feature list. And then you've got this business plan right here. You click on any time to open it back up. So here's what I want you to Do I want you to open up your business plan in. In chat GPT and you're going to copy the whole thing and the way.
Yeah, I. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. So I put it into Gronk and it doesn't do anything. It just sits there.
Yep. Show me your screen. Just go ahead and share the screen. We'll. We'll. We'll look at it really quick. To do that is to just push this little copy button. Okay. Front end and back end that. As soon as you've done that, you're going to bounce into Grok and you're going to get rid of your P5JS project. You're going to start a new. A new thing here and you're going to say the following. We will need. Let's set up. Let's. I want you to evaluate this. Let's be sure to include a postgress SQL database in this setup.
For.
And you pushed go. You push the. You push the submit button there.
I hit this deep search.
Oh, I'm sorry, the deep. You're just activating that deep search. Then you still have to click the go button. Yep.
And it sucks for all you guys to be with this whole turd. I apologize.
I know you're good. Data persistence. Okay, so copy that. I'll send it to you guys and you can use it. There you go. It's not clear. It's not clear on that. Right? That's a ui.
I just thought you just hit deep search and just go.
It just goes. Yeah, no, that's right. So go ahead and scroll down a little bit. You'll be able to see what it's doing and you don't need to know what a postgres SQL database is yet. That's fine. Oh, I can't see. Yeah, there you go. There you go. Yeah, just scroll up a little bit there and you can kind of watch what it's doing and add one more thing to that thing I just sent you guys. Say make this in can this plan for building pools in this company.
Oh, so you make them work together.
Correct. Yeah, we're gonna have. Instead of, you know, going to. Paying a big, you know, Pete Private equity or. Or, you know, McKinsey or, you know, consulting company, whatever you're trying to do, you're just gonna have GROK to it. And not only that, I want you to evaluate this plan for building pools in this company. I'm starting and I'm going to paste the whole plan and then I'm Going to push the deep search button on Grok. See its thinking process as you go through. Through. Right. So, yeah, nice. Easy, easy fix. Easy fix. I. Worse problems. Okay, so I'll start sharing again, guys. So, yeah, you're gonna have it do the deep think. I'm sorry. The deep search. And then you're gonna say, all right, please put together a list of 20 recommendations. Right. That's. That's what you want to do as well. Okay. Make this in canvas. Stop.
What's the canvas portion of it? Did I miss that?
The canvas tool is this tool that you see on screen right now since you have to improve the business plan based on your research. Okay, great. Where it. It builds like a document for you here on the right side of the screen. And then, you know, hey, target commercial clients, hotels, community centers, financial planning, revenue streams, operations, team management, technology, knowledge marketing and customer acquisition, customer experience, retention, risk management, compliance. Okay, so this is where your brain has to kind of take over, guys. Yes. AI is helping you do a lot. I don't.
Oh, okay.
It becomes an editable document, and you can do some cool stuff with it. All right. Love the 20 recommendations it gave me because it focused. Maybe. Maybe too much on the actual, you know, elements of. The business plan itself I actually want. So I'm gonna. I'm gonna change it. Say, I want you to provide 20 more recommendations, but I want them to be focused more on the product itself and how we can differentiate ourselves from competitors. Okay. I want to make something really unique that's going to stand out in the marketplace and. All right, Yeah, I get it. Maybe you want a better, you know, you want me to cover the team management in, like, my team and what. I get it. Right? How do we make a better business plan and a better pitch deck? All right, so I.
It looks like mine. It threw into the same.
That's not what we're trying to do here. I want it to actually tell me about my idea itself. Right. And so I just pasted that into the chat as well. You can ask it to do that. So it's going to think about 20 more recommendations while you guys catch up on the. So you get deep search. You got.
Think it says integrated it into the business plan canvas. Oh, I'll say build it on a separate canvas.
Got it. Yeah. Just say I need you to separate it. I need the business plan to be the business plan. I need a separate canvas for the dev plan or the feature plan right now, guys, this is a really fun way to use multiple AIs together. To strengthen any idea, right? Talk to it about it, have it interview you, bounce it over to here, ask it some more questions and follow up. Then in a second we're going to copy all of its recommendations, we're going to take it back into ChatGPT and we're going to say paste, please refine the business plan with these thoughts. Right? And boom.
What's the. I mean, I know we have deep search here that we use.
Yeah, just take a second. I'll give you guys like two minutes to have it, have it do that. Our times.
But there is a deep search version of Chat gbt. Right. So what's the point in putting it in GROK with the deep search and doing all these recommendations and everything versus just doing that same thing.
Chat GB timelines are crazy here. We're building, we're building business plans in 15 minutes, dev plans in five minutes.
That's.
That's kind of blowing my mind right now, by the way. As a, as a. I know you're.
Saying it's like a different. Is it like a full, different viewpoint? Like, is that. Is there a lot of benefit there? Is there a lot of value you.
Get from like LLM is. The GRO3LLM is going to operate very differently from the deep search functionality in ChatGPT. It's trained on different types of data. Groq integrates also X. Right. Meaning it's going to get live sentiment. Right. And I can dev guy and they're good too.
And I've been using this to speed up other projects already.
So it's still just like a second viewpoint, basically.
It is. It's another viewpoint. It's another angle. You could do it, you can definitely do that. But bouncing it off of different models that are on completely different, you know, systems and that are built around different paradigms is really helpful. You want to challenge the AIs against each other. Kind of crazy. Yeah, for sure. Whereas OpenAI kind of has their way of thinking about things. Grok as a. As you know, Elon does things differently. It's crazy what is now possible with AI. It's. It's just flipped everything and it's just getting tight. He's going to direct his teams to do things differently and to be more whatever. Right. So you can also ask, you know, you, you could do, you could do this iterative process, guys, for hours, right. And really refine your idea. Right. For the purposes of this course, we're going to take what. It's what we've got now started, guys, we'll talk about that more in a bit. So I'm going to, I'm going to copy everything I got from the second question. Or the second answer. I'm going to bounce back in. Sorry, I'm going to bounce back into ChatGPT here and I'm going to, I'm going to say please refine the business plan or no, please rewrite the business plan with these thoughts in mind. And I'm going to paste everything that it just gave me.
Okay, are you just doing the 20 or are you doing everything from the deep think and from. From deep search and think?
I'm going to do as much as possible. All right, guys, so at this point you should have. Let's see here. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna tell it to do this one and then I'm going to copy.
Whoops.
I'm going to copy over from Gro. I've a business plan that's in your chat. You can access it right here by just scrolling up in the chat. You can close out of this, this thing here. But you've got, you've got your feature list, which is just kind of a feature by feature list. And then you've got this business plan right here. You can click on it anytime to open it back up. So here's what I want you to do. I want you to open up your business plan in, in ChatGPT and you're going to copy the whole thing. And the way to do that is to just push this little copy button. Okay. This other one here. Copy the response.
You're grabbing both then?
Yeah, yeah, I'm grabbing multiple things. I'm just going to give it a ton of information. And the reality is it can't. Like it can. It can process it all. It can process it all. It's going to be just fine. Paste. Okay, so I've said please rewrite the business plan with these thoughts in mind. Go. I would say maybe, but retain, you know, all of my thoughts from our interview above. I would maybe add that. Right? So I want my ideas, but then I want all this. As soon as you've done that, you're going to bounce into Grok and you're going to get rid of your P5JS project. You're going to start a new, a new thing here and you're going to say the following. I want you to evaluate this, this plan for building pools research to be integrated into it. Refine the business plan. Okay, I said rewrite. I probably should have said refine. I don't love the rewrite words. Still pretty dang good. Still pretty dang good. It kind of is refining it based on. Based on everything that I said to it before. So it did in this company.
Oh, so you make them work together.
It did pretty well. I'm happy with this business plan. Other corrective. Yeah. We're gonna have. Instead of, you know, going to paying a big, you know, you're saying it.
Was worth your time, John.
Now I'm making. By the way, I was making 500, 000 in profit in year one. Now I'm making 1.75 to 2 million. So I should quit all my other jobs, bounce over to this guy, start digging Pete Private equity or. Or, you know, Bulls. You know, man. Yeah, this is McKinsey or, you know, consulting company. Whatever you're trying to do, you're just gonna. It's pretty crazy. All right. All right. It's fully been updated. That's great. So I've got a nice business plan. Then I'm just gonna say please update the. Update the feature lists dev plan. Have Gro to it. And not only that, I want you to evaluate this plan for building pools in this company. I'm starting document considering the new business and I'm going to paste the whole plan and then I'm going to push the deep search button on Gro. Okay.
That's cool.
Oh yeah.
And then I'm just going to click go. Okay. Sit back and.
Oh, it gave.
And watch it do its deep search. Okay.
New restate. That was thinking we. I'm a little view all the edits.
Yeah, it's showing me. Yeah. You can click on like edited this and I'm kind of seeing what it did. Maybe I want to bring something back in.
And John, you've done a fair amount of business plans, it sounds like before AI how does this stack up behind here? We copy the.
Copy the business plan and feature list all in. Not the feature list. Don't worry about the feature list. Right now. We're just doing the business plan. Plan.
Okay.
And what's. What's the prompt we ask it.
They're pretty dang good. They're pretty dang good. And if I really kind of spend time building a good business plan with AI it can do it way better than any human. Yep. All you're going to say is I want you to evaluate this plan for whatever. Yeah.
I mean you're just giving us examples here, but you would dig through and find, you know, I would dig deep. Yep. Okay.
Totally. Okay. So my feature List has been updated. My business plan has been updated. I'm. I'm about ready to bounce into replit. Okay, so if any of you are done with this, where you feel like, okay, the business plan and the. And the feature list are done, then every year, you know, or this, you know, this idea that I'm working on in this company I'm starting. Right, Whatever. So that's it. And then copy or paste the plan in. And the deep search. Activate the deep search button and click go. Go ahead. Make sure you have. You're signed up for replit. If you're not, do it. And. And then get just to where it says, hey, what do you want to build today? Go to home in repl it. Right. Get to that spot. How many people need time to get there?
Hey, John, will you copy that last prompt?
A few minutes.
Cool.
James, say that again.
Will you copy that last prompt? They update the feature list and development plan.
Yep. Yep. Please update the feature list and dev plan. Considering the new business plan.
Yeah, I thought it was longer than that. Thank you.
It's all good. It's all good. Yeah. The more you watch. Me do this over the next couple days, and as we go into more advanced things, by the end, you're guys gonna be like, this is super easy, right? Just use your brain. You guys are all smart. You're smarter than me. You can come up with great prompts and great questions and great discussions and ask it to do crazy things and. And it. It can do it. All right, I'll give you guys, like, two minutes to. So, guys, I mean, mine right now. I mean, you can watch yours. You can see what it's doing. You kind of read, catch up a little bit here.
If my gro prompt is still thinking, it's been about eight minutes. Can I stop it?
As it assesses the business plan. But mine's found 53 sources already. 53 web pages. To assess the business plan and evaluate it all. What's going on here? Like, what are all the different. Different things? I don't know. How are we gonna.
Is that gonna, like, ruin. It's the feature list. It's the. Give me the feature suggestions, right?
Show me. Show me your. Show me your screen. Sometimes, guys, the AIs just have UI problems, right? So, like, it might be done thinking. Yeah, he's like, going.
Browser gets lost sometimes.
Improve the deal. Pilot business plan.
It's kind of. I don't know, it gets kind of repetitive. Yeah.
And it's doing pricing and all kind of stuff.
Yep. It's Gonna go through. I've had, I've had this deep search take up to eight minutes. I don't think it's going to take eight minutes for.
For this.
I think it's going to take maybe two or three.
But it's got the global pressure Wash market projected growth.
Like I'm a platform for community. Platform innovation. Growth. It said the same things a lot. Excellent. Success.
Dude, you broke. You broke it. That's right.
Community again. Innovation again. Excellence again. Success again. Like I keep saying the same things.
Yeah, you've been going for a long time here.
Now we're on 500 seconds yield.
Pilot can be a platform for community. I also think about it can be a platform for the future.
Growth again. Excellence again. Success. Like it said all these things a million times.
I don't know depth of the research that it is doing right now. Guys.
Oh my God.
I would click stop. Okay, okay. All right. I want you to mind blowing. Right? If you were to have humans do this and then not only have humans do it, but have humans synthesize it and then put it together and come to conclusions and then write out a report report to evaluate your business plan and it's weak support guys. I mean. Yeah, go ahead. So here's what I want you to do. Turn off the Think it can see everything that it just said there. So now I want you to say create 20 suggestions to make them on the product. Right. Or whatever. Yeah. I mean or copy your prompt.
Right.
But instead of doing the deep think it will consider everything that it, you know, just kind of considered I think. Right. At least tens of thousands of dollars that you'd be spending on employees.
I'm also in a weird stuck place again.
So now it's given me a great overview. Here's the market competition, financial feasibility recommendations.
Sir, here.
I can figure this out. Go ahead.
That's fine. Okay. Yeah, cool. Go ahead and share. V note. Okay, here's some cool stuff and whatever. Here's all these different things. Now I'm not going to read through it. All right. Now I recommend you guys read yours at some point. Right? But now what I'm going to do is this.
So all it's showing me is like from here to here it says that everything's been done over here.
The feature list I'm going to copy actually. Sorry, sorry. Before I do that I'm going to unclick deep search and I'm going to say I'm going to click.
The development plan has been fully updated in the canvas. Refined business strategy But I don't see any of it.
Yeah, it's terrible. So I want you to say this. I want to say ask anything. I want you to say please rewrite. Please make a new canvas with the feature list Again. This one looks terrible. Okay, thank you. Don't say, don't say rewrite. I want you to say think button. Okay. So there's deep search and there's think on grok. And I'm going to say please consider, please put or please put together. Please write it again in a new canvas. If you say rewrite, it's just going to edit this and, and write the. The. Is this the business plan were you trying to work on or the feature list? Yeah, it's featureless.
Well, it was going to be the completed all of it.
Got it. You needed in two documents, right. You're going to need a list of 20 recommendations. You have to improve the business plan based on your. Needed in one. One for the business plan, one for the one for the feature list. Right. So say please write the business plan again in a new canvas. Thank you. And then, and then just kind of go. And then say, please write a new feature list in a new canvas. Research.
Why do you land on 20, John? Do you think that's a golden number?
It's probably. It's a pretty good one. It's pretty in depth. You could probably get a lot even if you just give you some new documents. That should work. Let's just. Let me just watch for a second and see if this does what it should do. Yeah, it looks like it is. There we go at 8.
But then you can overanalyze.
Probably 20 is a lot. Right? So anyway, I'm going to paste this thing in the chat there. Okay, sweet. You're. You're rolling. Okay. If you want to grab that prompt and then I'm just going to say go. Okay. So now it's going to think about. Is this coming through?
Oh, why?
There we go. Okay, guys, just take. We'll wait just one second here. Everything it just learned about the business plan, it's going to think about how it can improve it. What you know, hey, I want 20 recommendations basically to improve the business plan.
Hey, John.
And.
Yeah, I, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. So.
Okay.
I put it into Gronk and it doesn't do anything. It just sits.
John on replit. Do we need a specific plan or the free plan for this purpose?
It's there.
Yep. Show me your screen. Just go ahead and share. We'll we'll. We'll look at it really quick.
In.
Say that again for ripley.
Do we need to. Should I upgrade above the free plan for now?
Oh, yeah, yeah. You're going to need core. You're going to need the core plan.
I'm going to go ahead and do that.
Yeah, yeah, go ahead and make that happen. And you pushed. Let me know when you're ready on that, Justin, because I think we'll probably be about ready. Oh, you push the, you push the submit button there.
I hit the steep search. Oh, I'm sorry.
As you. Soon as you bounce over here, you can go ahead.
I get the joke.
The deep. You're just activating that deep search. Then you still have to click the go button. Yep.
It sucks for all you guys to be with this old turd. I apologize.
I know you're. It's not clear. It's not clear on that. Right? That's a ui.
I just thought you just hit deep search and just go.
And it just goes. Yeah, no, that's right. So go ahead and scroll down a little bit. You'll be able to see what it's doing. Okay guys, so the next thing we're going to do. Can't see. Yeah, there you go. There you go. Yeah, just scroll up a little bit there and you can kind of watch what it's doing. And. And through here I'm going to close out of my. So I've already built. I already started building right. A. A pool website. Right. But I'm going to see its thinking process as you go through. Right. So yeah, nice. Easy, easy. I'm going to start over again. So here's what we're going to do in chat. GPT your next thing. Let me share my screen here again.
Sorry.
I know every time I click hit screen and like fix, easy fix. I've worse problems. Okay, so I'll start sharing again guys. So yeah, you're gonna have it do the deep think takes over your screen. But, but anyway, go ahead and you can close out of those. I'm sorry, the deep search. And then you're going to say. All right, please put together a list of 20 recommendations, business plans and things like that. Right. What you're going to do is you're going to say this. You're going to say please write a. Whoops. Please write a three sentence description. What we are building. Yeah, what we are building. Just say that. Please write a three sentence description of what we are. Since you have to improve the business plan based on your research. Okay, great. And then you know, hey, target commercial clients, hotels, community centers, financial planning, revenue streams, operations, team management, technology, marketing and customer acquisition. Customer building in GPT. Yep, just writing that same thing. Go next to it. So this is not in a canvas or anything. It's just please write a three sentence description of what we were building. So Verity Pools is a cutting edge pool design, a construction company that combines luxury estate aesthetics with smart technology to deliver true, truly custom aquatic experience. Retention, risk management, compliance. Okay, so this is from retractable pool fours and underwater windows to AI powered cost estimators where your brain has to kind of take over guys, yes, AI is helping you do a lot. I don't love the 20 recommendations it gave me because it focused maybe, maybe too much on the actual, you know, elements of dual zone pool systems. We build backyard escapes that feel like magic.
Our platform, the life aquatic.
Yeah. With real time tools, DIY resources and an Apple level experience from quote to cannonball. All right, the business plan itself I actually want. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna change it. Say I want you perfect. So, so then I'm going to copy this and I'm going to bounce over to replit and I'm going to paste that in here. Don't click start building yet. Okay, but when it says what do you want to build? Right, we're going to do that. Okay, then we're going to, then. So go ahead and everybody copy your, your three sentence thing. Make sure you like the way it's written. If you don't, you know, have it refine it a second and then, and then we'll go over to provide 20 more recommendations. But I want them to be focused more on the product itself and how we can differentiate ourselves. We'll come back into ChatGPT and I want you to open your business plan. Okay. This is not the business plan. This is my full feature list. I don't know why it's called.
Hey, John.
Yeah.
I'm going to do it again. Damn it.
What happened with yours?
Well, I'll show you.
I don't from competitors. Okay. I want to make something really unique that's going to stand out in the marketplace and. Yeah, hold on one second.
Sorry guys, I'm an O. Yell.
Good. You're okay, you're okay, you're okay. All right, go ahead and share the screen. This is my full feature list. I don't know why it's going.
Hey, John.
Yeah.
I'm gonna do it again. Damn it.
What happened with yours?
Well, I'll show you. I don't know.
Yeah, hold on one second.
Sorry, guys. I'm gonna owe you all a Coke.
Good. You're okay. You're okay, you're okay. All right, go ahead and share screen. So I. Yeah, I get it. Maybe you want a better, you know, you want me to cover the team management in like, my team and what. I get it, right? How do we make a better business plan and a better pitch deck? That's not what we're trying to do here. I want it to actually tell me about my idea itself.
After I got my business plan, I said, please write the feature list and dev plan.
So I wrote.
After I got my business plan, I said, please write the feature list and dev plan document in a new canvas considering the new business plan. And I got this document in a new canvas considering the new business plan. And I got this.
Okay, so that's. That's. Let's see here. Go right. And so I just pasted that into the chat as well. You can ask it to do that. So go up a little higher. Yeah, this is okay. This is. Okay, I'm scrolling. Okay, so that's. That's. Let's see here. Go up on the left there. Yeah. So you've got your business plan sitting right there. And then you get your dev plan here. Okay. And I know your dev plan looks a little bit different. Okay.
I just. I. Yeah, okay, great.
But it works. I think it's okay. Yeah, you're all right. You're all right. But it's going to think about 20 more recommendations while you guys catch up on the. So you get deep search. You got think now, guys. This is a really fun way to. To use multiple AIs together to strengthen any idea, right? Talk to it about it, have it interview you, bounce it over to here, ask it some more questions and follow up. And then in a second, we're going to cop. Okay, so I'll jump back into sharing here. And so in replit, we've done this. Okay, then what we're going to do, guys, is you're going to open your business plan, find your business plan, wherever it is. Mine's like way up here, which is super annoying. Okay, feature list. I want my business plan be all of its recommendations. We're going to take it back into chat GPT and we're going to say, you know, paste. Please refine the business plan with these thoughts, right? And boom.
What's the. I mean, I know we have deep.
Search here that we use right here.
Here we go.
I found it. No, that's not it.
Yeah, mine mixed them up too. A lot. Then I'd like redo it and then it's still kind of messed up.
What the heck. Yeah, where did. Why did mine. Why did mine switch switch over to you? I don't understand.
We would like start writing the features on the boost. But there is a deep search version of ChatGPT. Right? So what's the point in putting it in Gro business plan.
Feature list?
I asked for a separate canvas on the dev plan.
Oh, it like totally erased the business plan. Okay.
With the deep search and doing all these recommendations and everything versus just doing that same thing in Chat gb.
So here's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to say I need you to rewrite.
I know you're saying it's like a different. Is it like a full different viewpoint? Like, is that. Is there a lot of benefit there? Is there a lot of value you.
Get from like LLM is the GROQ3 LLM is going to operate very differently from the date business plan. You deleted it. Leave.
I asked for separate canvas on the dev plan.
Oh, it like totally erased the business plan. Okay, so here's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to say I need you to rewrite deep search functionality in ChatGPT. It's trained on different types of data. Grok integrates all the other canvases alone and build a new one for me. I totally deleted everything. So we'll have it redo this really quick. No big deal. This is not hard.
So how do you know it's not going to change some things or lose some data on this business plan?
So. X. Right. Meaning it's going to get live sentiment. Right. And I can even.
It's like a second viewpoint, basically.
It is. It's another viewpoint. It's another angle. You could do it. You could definitely rewrite. Oh, it might. Yeah. Actually, if you're actually, you know, the, the reality is it knows what we've been talking about. Right. It's pretty smart. It's doing well. Do that. But bouncing it off of different models that are on completely different, you know, systems and that are built. It's pulling off of all of the information that we've been talking about in this chat. It understands the context of everything that we want to do. It's. Yeah. It's got an executive summary, mission statement, different paradigms is really helpful. You want to challenge the AIs against each other and all these things. Vision statement, all this stuff. Okay. Apple style User experience. It's got that we want to do all these things. So yeah, it's doing pretty nice. So now, now I've got it. Now I've got it again. So I'm going to copy the business plan. Okay. Push that little copy button here in the canvas. Okay. Assuming it's written it correctly, then I'm going to come over to repl it and I'm going to paste right here. Whereas OpenAI has their way of thinking about things, Brock, as a, as you know, Elon does things differently, right. And he's going to direct his teams to do things differently and to be more whatever. Right. So you can also ask, you know, you, you could do, you could do this iterative process, guys, for hours, right? And instead of it, you know, basing all the text here, it's going to attach it, it's going to look like, you know, an attachment like this and it's going to say like something, business plan, whatever. Okay. All right, so go ahead and do refine your idea, right. For the purposes of this course, we're going to take what, it's what we've got now.
That, that, that's the business plan, not the dev plan.
Yep, the business plan. We're going to paste the business plan into the chat here like this.
Did you paste that prompt somewhere in as well in the chat?
Yeah, yeah. So I remember I took that three sentence prompt, right. I asked. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna copy everything I got from the second question or the second answer. I'm gonna bounce back in. Sorry, I'm gonna bounce back into chat GPT here and I'm gonna ask chatgpt to make a three sentence prompt right here. That's right at the bottom, right? This. I'm gonna say please refine the business plan or go. And I said, hey, I need you to please write a three sentence description of what we're building. Like copy this over. That goes in first. Then I paste the big business plan. Please rewrite the business plan with these thoughts in mind as well in the chat. Yeah, yeah. So I remember I took that three sentence prompt, right? I asked ChatGPT to make a three sentence prompt right here. That's right at the bottom, right? And I said, hey, I need you to please write a three sentence description of what we're building. Copy this over. That goes in first. Then I paste the big business plan. Okay. Then I'm going to close out of the business plan and I'm going to go to my, my feature list, which is actually this.
It's.
It's written wrong here. I'm going to rename it. I'm going to say feature list. Okay, awesome. And then I'm going to copy this. So now I've got my feature list and I know it looks different for you, James. It's okay. If it's all okay, then I'm going to close out of the business plan and I'm going to go to my. My feature list, which is actually this. It's. It's written wrong here. I'm going to rename it. I'm going to say feature list. Okay, awesome. And then I'm going to copy this. So now I've got my feature list and I know it looks different for you, James. It's okay if it's all. And I'm going to paste everything that it just gave me.
Okay, Are you just doing the 20 or are you doing everything from the deep think and from. From deep search and think?
I'm going to do as much as possible. Weird text because we're going to fix that later. It's going to reformat it anyway and then you're going to go back to replet and you're going to click paste again. So now what you should have. Let's see here. So I'm going to. I'm going to tell it is a three sentence description of what you're building in repl.it Then you have a business plan attachment pasted right there and a weird text because we're going to fix that later. It's going to reformat it anyway and then you're going to go back to repl it and you're going to click paste again. So now what you should have is a three sentence description of what you're building in repl it. Then you have a business plan attachment pasted right there and a in another attachment of your full feature list. Okay, this is what you should look like.
So feature list and business plan both attached three sentence.
Yep, prompt. That's it. Okay, how are you feeling? I'm not going to push go until. If you want to push start building guys, go ahead and then it's going to bring up some questions and I don't other attachment of your full feature list. Okay, this is what you should look like.
So feature list and business plan both attached three sentence.
Yep, that's it. Okay, how are you feeling? I'm not going to push go until. If you want to push start building guys, go ahead. And then it's going to bring up some questions and I don't want you to go past that next step, so go ahead and click Start Building. If you're. If you're there, I want everybody to tell me when they've clicked Start Building. We want to get everybody caught up right here. I want you to go past that next step, so go ahead and click Start Building. If you're. If you're there, I want everybody to tell me when they've clicked Start Building. We want to get everybody caught up right here.
Okay, I'm ready to start building. Should I click it?
Go ahead. Go and click Start Building. And then just wait for the next step because we want to make sure we do a couple things right there.
Okay, I'm ready to start building. Should I click it?
Go ahead. Yeah, go and click Start Building. And then just wait for the next step because we want to. Want to make sure we do a couple things right there.
Okay. Okay. So you don't give it the dev plan yet?
No. You do give it the dev plan. Yeah. Did you not give it the dev plan? Separate attachment?
No, I gave it. That's why I asked. So you don't give it the dev plan yet?
No, you do give it the dev plan.
You said give it the business plan.
Yeah, you give the business plan and the dev plan.
You do both.
Right. It's all good. You see my screen there? You can see there's two pasted things. You'll give it the feature list. It's okay, it's.
How do I get back to.
Yeah, if. Just let it. Let it do its thinking. You'll be able to attach it in a bit. It's not a big deal. It really is not a big deal. We can.
I already stopped it though, John, so.
Yeah, then just go back and just do it again. Copy. So copy the three sentences. Copy the business. Copy the dead plan. You should have it just like you can see on my screen. Screen right here. All three of those items beautifully lined up and ready to roll.
Are we supposed to wait before pressing?
If you've. Yeah, You've gotten to. Here. Uploaded my screen.
Business plan. Business plan. Feature list, dev plan, and the prompt.
The three sentences. Yep. Go ahead and click Start. And then wait.
Start building.
Click Start building. And then just wait when it asks you some questions about, like, should I proceed with the plan? Okay. Because there's a couple things you want to just consider there. So, guys, while you're catching up, you'll. You'll go into some forums and you, you know, like on Reddit or something, you know, you know, What, what, what's your opinion on Repwood? Right? And a lot of people love it. It's awesome. But then you have a couple people that are like, man, this sucks.
It's horrible.
It has no idea what it's doing. The people that say it sucks and it's horrible have terrible prompting skills, right? They get in and they say, build me a weather app. Build me a pool website. Right? They don't tell it anything. What we've done here, guys, is amazing prompt engineering. We've had chat GPT suck information out of our brains by having it interview us. We've refined that idea with Grok bouncing back and forth. We've done a bunch of research and refined the business plan even more. We built a feature list and a dev plan and we've given it a nice description of what it's going to do. Some feel and colors and all this. All these types of things. Right. I'm actually going to add into my dev plan. You can add it later in a second too. I'm going to say let's make sure we follow a green aqua color scheme. I need that for mine. For you guys, it might not matter as much on colors, but I want it to follow green. I don't want it to do blue because my company is called Verde, so I need to. I need to listen to the. The Spanish. So let's make sure we follow a green aqua color scheme. This is cool.
Okay, so when we get to the checkbox here, just wait a little.
Yep, just wait at the checkbox. Everybody else, how's everybody else doing? Ty and James, are you coming along?
I. I told it to start creating, so it's just like creating my preview.
Okay.
Okay.
James, what about you? Are you coming?
Yeah, I think I'm. I'm there. I actually hit start building on accident and then I pasted of the two things in. But I've got the checkboxes open.
That's all right. You can paste those in and that'll work. Okay, so we're now configuring the app. It's starting to. It's going to, you know, give a dev plan. Some of you, most of you already passed here, and. And then it's going to come with some checkboxes. One of the things you do want to click, especially if you want data persistence, which I think is everybody here. Data persistence means that when you click refresh, it remembers data. Right. So like a login and a password. Right. And logging in a password won't work without a database, so you need to click the checkbox if there's one that says set up a PostgreSQL database right like this right here. PostgreSQL database integration. Yep. Customer dashboard login. Yep. We want this. Yep. We want this. Project tracking system. We want this. Email integration for notifications. Yep, we want that. We want this. I'm not going to do an AR planner right now and then I'm going to approve the plan and I'm going to start Right, So now, guys, we're all building apps. Now. This process can take, you know, up to 15 minutes. Really, it's usually about 10. And again, the way that, just like you saw in the beginning, it's going to start with kind of a very, very high level. Like here's, you know, the, you know, we're going to make it look a little bit like this now. We're going to go in and make it kind of come to life and start actually working, working. And we're going to connect all the elements and things that it's building now. If you want to watch over on the left, you can see the file systems being built. You can click the, there's a little files button and you know, right now it's, you've got like one file and then you're going to have a lot more. Don't worry about formatting, don't worry about logos, don't worry about the images if they're not exactly what you're looking for. All of that stuff we're going to work on. We're going to teach you how to change it tomorrow, guys. We're going to work a lot on logos and image generation using AI and I know some of you probably have done a lot of that stuff, but we'll hopefully go over some advanced things and some great ways to get really good results and then how to pull those things into replit in really efficient ways that allow you to really get it to do what you want. We'll work on some more tips and tricks. You guys are probably, I bet some of you are going to be, you're going to be up late with, working on this and just playing around with it. You're gonna get stuck. And I have a lot of people that stay up until 3am Just working on, you know, their project. Once they discover this and they wake up the night or they come to the class the next day, like, I'm kind of tired because I was up till 3. So that's fine, that's good, that's exciting. That's, that's A natural reaction to learning cool new things. And, and heck, you might try building a couple projects even, right? And say, I'm gonna start something else. Right? So, yeah, it's pretty cool. This is building. So this is, as you can see, it's a very different, it's a different feel as compared to, you know, what we, what we built before it is building my, my pool estimator here, at least for, for mine. That's kind of cool. Pool size, terrain type. Yeah, this is kind of neat. I want a bigger pool size than that integrated spa. Yeah. Anyway, so how's everybody feeling? Good.
This is really cool.
Yeah, I'm really impressed with what it's building right now.
It's pretty crazy.
The images are not. It pulled in like a, an office desk instead of a pressure washer.
But hey, that's okay. We'll do. Like I said, image generation is tomorrow. Pulling those things in is tomorrow a lot of the stuff. And, and by the way, it might update that just after, after it, you know, does the. Goes back to the second draft. It might say, I need a better picture for this or whatever. And you know, you can tell it, hey, you know, I need a picture of a pressure washer. The reality is I don't like using Replit for the image pieces.
Okay?
One thing it's just not great at. Anthropic is not known. So what's running. But this is all running, guys, on Sonnet 3.7. So it's on, it's on, on Anthropic. It's, it's using a really, really nice LLM. So quad 3.7 sonnet is what it's using. And you know, build Quad is pretty cool if you've ever tried that. Right. On Thropic.com But Replit still, still is going to win out because of the, the sheer number of features it has all in one. This, this is called an ide. Replit is called an IDE or an Integrated Development Environment. Okay. And it is the most powerful one. It has so many amazing features. It's been having a problem with me a couple times on this, you know, overlapping like the logo and the name with the, with the, you know, first item on the, on the menu. I don't know why it's having trouble with that.
It's not that it needs to quit drinking and doing style sheets.
Seriously. It needs some padding. But anyway, it's not, it shouldn't be that difficult. But another cool thing you can do, guys, as you're sitting here is, oh, you know What? Maybe you can't do that until it's done. That's okay. That's okay. It's going to create a fully interactive version, but in a minute when that's done, you're actually able to switch it to like mobile view and tablet view and you can look at different screen sizes and things like that. See how it does that. You can create, you know, it's going to be, it's going to be responsive. Everything it's doing is going to create a nice responsive site that's mobile first. Probably because it's taking, it's using best practices. Right. It's a smart AI that knows how to code and it knows all the best practices. It knows what it should be doing. Right. And so, so again, this might take a while. This might take a while, guys. So let's look really quickly here at, at kind of our, our flow, like what we're going to be doing in three days here. Day one, ideation and business model generation. We've done that. Right? Hey, we're going to use ChatGPT and Grok to, to work on these ideas and come up with them. We're going to define it, we're going to refine it. Okay. One thing that we haven't talked about a lot is registering the domain. We did go to the GoDaddy piece and set up email. Does anybody here feel like they don't know how to set up email?
I've never done it.
Okay, then we'll go, Daddy. That's okay. That's okay. We're going to go over. I wouldn't do it in GoDaddy. I would use Google Workspace or something. I, I don't know. I think I hate Microsoft 365. Well, I don't. I like Office. I don't like their email. I don't like their email. I like using Google because it's just better for development and the connections that Google has are so much better than Microsoft. And so that's me personally. So we'll go over a little bit of DNS stuff here for a minute while we're letting Replit kind of do that. I think that's really good. We'll dive into some branding and logo generation tomorrow and, and you know, social media, online presence, those types of things. We'll do some of that tomorrow and then, you know, we'll just kind of keep going. So. All right, let's do a little bit of DNS stuff. DNS stuff is not that hard, but basically, and I know we're kind of Actually getting ahead of ourselves a little bit here. But it's okay. I'll show you how to do it and then when we do it tomorrow, it'll be really, really easy to show you how it works. But basically inside of GoDaddy, right? Let's say you buy verdepools.com, right? That's awesome. We're up and running. We've got, you know, we've got a, we've got a domain. That's awesome. Okay, so now I'm going to go into GoDaddy or whatever my provider is for my hosting and I'm going to click on my products. And you know, I didn't buy, I didn't buy Verde Pools, even though that was pretty cool. And I'm going to go down to one that I don't have set up yet. So let's go to Jenny API Dot. I. I haven't actually set this one up yet. And so this is my domain. I'm going to click on DNS. So DNS, guys, DNS is, is the instructions that the Internet follows as to where it points to look at data, Right. Or to verify data. Right? So this is a security issue. This has to do with emails and, you know, domain validation and all these different things that you don't have to know how to do. You just have to know that DNS will take care of it. And it's very, very simple. Bottom line is there are records. I don't want to give you feedback right now. There are records or types of records, a name of the record and then the data for the record, right? And then this is just kind of some tools that we'll use in it. But when you're pointing a domain, for example, from replit to, you know, a GoDaddy or wherever you're doing it, it's going to have you do an A name, an A record, and a TXT record, okay? And then you'll actually have to delete this a name. And you know, so we'll go through a couple of those ideas here. But basically the DNS is something that's really, really easy to set up. You have your domain and then, you know, when you go to set up your Google Workspace, right, you'll go to, you know, Google Workspace, whatever, and you'll say, hey, create a business email or whatever it is and you'll say, get started. You just kind of go through all the steps here where you're answering your questions about what you are. Hey, it's just you and your name is Verde Pools. Right. But eventually, no, thanks, I don't want this. And you're going to go through until it says, okay, hey, we're ready to install your or set up your DNS, right? And it will give you. It'll say, hey, go to your DNS settings and create a new record. And so you'll add a new record. You'll choose the type that it tells you. It'll tell you just three fields, your type, your name, and your value. And that will get your email working perfectly, pointing at your domain. It will get your website working perfectly, pointing at your domain. It's very, very easy. And the most important principle here is, guys, the AI or the system that you're working with will tell you exactly what to do. It's very, very simple. It's very, very common. Setting up DNS records is very, very easy. Okay? So don't worry too much about that. But that's, that's one thing that, you know, you'll definitely, you'll definitely have to do as you're setting up the custom domain. And I'll show you how to do it inside of replit and where it provides those records and things like that. Another thing is in, in Replit, you'll want to set up, like, if I'm doing verdepools.com I would, I would set up verdepools.com and you technically have to set up a subdomain of www.verdepools.com. you actually have to set both of them up so that it knows to, you know, to redirect to verde po pools.com when you type a or when, when the user types a www because people do that. So really simple on that. Those, those records are, are. They seem complicated, but once you've done it one time, you're like, okay, this is easy, right? Just update the record and hey, the website's connected now. That's cool, right? So that's pretty neat. All right, how are your websites looking? Is anybody's done yet? Oh, yeah, hey, that's fine. As soon as it's done, I want to see. I want to see some of what you're doing. Actually, you know what? Let's do that right now. Let's do a little bit of show and tell. Just while, just while it's going. Who wants to show their site? Who has a good one? That's looking awesome. Go ahead, Stephen.
All right, so life story preserved.
That's strong.
Yeah.
I like this intake, how we do it. Delivery interview, you.
Pricing.
So I have a question. In your business, I don't think it's aggressive to do a. To do a biography for someone family legacy. I would pay that.
Yeah. Yeah, I would pay that Hardcover book of days, John.
Yeah, I know for sure. Well, let me ask, let me ask this. What is your, your idea and your business plan about how you're going to do those interviews? Are you just going to like, get on and record a call or like, what. What are you going to do? Yeah, it would be.
It would be in person premium. That was part of a lot where the price is. Because I wanted. I said to consider any. Any human labor. It would need to be like $200 an hour.
Okay.
So it would be. It would be human interviews, but transcribed by. By AI.
Got it. Why not use AI to do the interview?
Do the interview.
Probably selling point, man. I think human touch important. Maybe.
Maybe it's not very.
Right.
Yeah, that's true. Yeah, it's really.
You're right.
It's really not scalable. That's.
But if you want to interview a thousand people at once.
Yeah, that would be tougher. So you mean like an AI. So somehow use an AI interviewer. Like those. The, like the audio ones will call you and talk to you and.
But a good one. One that actually sounds awesome.
Yeah, a really good one. Yeah. They've heard them hit or miss the. So I've tried doing this process, like kind of for free. The hardest part. It. Well, the. The two hardest parts is one, the transcription is awful. And then it's just like a. It's time consuming to go through and try to like fix all the ums and all the words that they didn't actually say. They, you know, but.
But if you just took their. What if you took the transcription and dropped it into. AI said clean this up. Get rid of all the ums and us and make it good. Don't. Yeah. Don't change the way they said anything. Right. Keep their. Keep their words, but get rid of all the fillers.
Yeah.
Instantly.
The, the tricky part there is if they. If the transcription. Instead of hearing the word three, it typed tree. I don't know if, if I put that into chat GPT. They would be like, oh, they obviously meant to say three instead of tree.
All you have to do like that. Correct any typos.
Correct any typos.
Okay.
Yeah, I'll give it a shot. For sure.
It'll fix that.
It would not be much better if it was. Yeah, if it was AI, I could just do the whole thing with AI. It definitely would be much more scalable.
You can absolutely do it.
We're gonna.
Let's, let's. Yeah, we'll do something in a second here. I'll show you guys some boy stuff. I think it's pretty dang cool. Anybody else want to show their. Their thing? Oh, go down to the tracker. Straight progress. I want to see that.
You could do an ultra premium luxury package where you fly in person for 10. 10 grand or something.
Yeah.
If you want it, like, hey, I. Your personal. Like, whatever. Like, I'm going to come in and it's going to be by Stephen, Max Shelley, you know, whatever. Like writing a biography so you can make it really premium. But yeah, you're charging 18 grand for that. And by the way, old people have 18 grand to preserve their legacy.
Yeah, they're just sitting.
They really do.
That's a good point.
Not everyone does, but the right market does, right?
Yeah.
Number one rule in business, sell to people who have money. Design your product to sell to people who have money. Has done that his whole life. Fortune 100s have money. Right.
This. This thing you're creating. This thing you're creating, Stephen, is huge. I mean, if you look at that demographic of people who are baby boomers and on the leading edge of that, they definitely want their story to be. They're coming to the point in their life where their legacy is going to be for partly forgotten and they want it to be encapsulated. And they have. They do have money.
Yeah.
Okay.
Whether or not you're willing to charge it, whether or not you feel comfortable charging people real money.
Yeah. Don't be afraid of it. Don't be afraid of it. You should sell 100 of these a day.
I'll adjust the pricing. Okay. I'll adjust the pricing.
I love it.
Cool.
Stop your. I stopped your sharing on that. Does anybody else want to share? Anybody else have something cool to mine doesn't show anything.
It just says thinking.
That's okay. Let's see what your. Let's see what yours says. James, I want you to share your screen. Let's make sure it's working. Make sure you pushed.
Go.
Wow. Low blow. I know.
That's fine.
All right. Okay. It's asking for an OpenAI key. This is awesome. Very cool. So what it's doing now is it saying, hey, so yeah, if you scroll up a little bit on the left there, right? Yeah, just done it. To enable AI powered features and get networthy AI, we need an OpenAI API key. This key allows the platform to generate personalized job opportunities and outreach templates. Based on your performance, professional profile. Right. So this is where you can get it. So go ahead and click that button. And now it's going to have you sign up. Now, even though you have a chat GPT account, the API side of OpenAI is different. So continue with Google or use that or whatever you want to do. Right. You'll have to create an account and. Yeah, just go ahead and put in whatever you love there and continue.
Oh, my good.
At least 12 characters. Follow the rules. I hate passwords, man. I hate password systems. Okay, all right. Oh, it says you already have. It says you already have an account. Right. So you already created this. So go ahead and switch to login there. Already have an account down there, Login and then maybe just click on it and try to auto fill those things that it's giving you there. Perfect. Continue. Yeah, so I don't know, maybe guess another password. You might have to do a forget password if that happens, that we can. Yeah, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna stop sharing your screen for just a second. Go ahead and do the forgot password and get in. You're gonna have to get in there really quick. So go ahead and check your email, check that password and. And then we'll have you share the screen again. We'll just wait for you for a second. No, yeah. The OpenAI system. Guys, even though Chat GPT is made by OpenAI, it is a product that actually sits on top of OpenAI's own LLM, right? They have two separate products. So technically you, any of you guys could create your own chat GPT clone by telling Replit, make a chatGPT clone and then you hand it your API key. Boom, you've recreated. Okay, super cool. Take you like eight minutes.
And that lets our app people interact with GPT as a brain for. Specifically for our app or website or you could. Or.
Or just a general knowledge. It searches the entire everything, right? You can have it search the Internet, you can have it generate images, you can do whatever you call it just in GPT, right? And they come and they pay you 25 bucks a month to be able to access your AI models, when really your AI, your AI models are just pointing at, you know, another LLM. No big deal. Nobody cares. You're just selling a product that's sitting on top of somebody else's service.
Okay.
A lot of people would call that a wrapper, Right, Right, right. You're just wrapping another technology and selling it as a service. You could run ads for that. And I guarantee You. You get people signing up, right? Ask Justin if you want to add some, like, branding to it, make it cool and, like, have an animated guy that's got your beard and all this stuff that looks like you and like, hey, ask Justin. He knows everything. You know, make it like the Ask Jeeves of today. You know.
I feel like it took us 25 years to get back to Microsoft Clippy. I mean, didn't we just kind of.
Yeah. It looks like you're writing a ransom.
Note.
So I'm in.
Sweet. All right, cool. So go and share your screen again and we'll. We'll walk through the. We'll. We'll find that key for you. So, guys, we're jumping ahead a little bit. The API stuff is really tomorrow, but APIs are super, super easy. Go and click start building up there, the green button. And then what's your. What's your business name? Your new business name or your current business, whatever you want to call it. Doesn't matter. This is irrelevant. Right. So just go ahead and type your organization name. Yep. And then what best describes you? Be honest. Okay. Create organization. Oh, no spaces. There you go. And then you. I'll invite my team later. Don't need this.
This is.
Yeah, this is your inviting the team.
What did you say? I'm sorry.
Yeah, in the bottom. I'll invite my team later. There you go. Yeah. And then. All right, generate API key and we're done. Go ahead and click Copy. Now bounce back into replit Paste. In that value thing, click Continue and then bottom left, click Add to account secrets. Yeah, perfect.
That's strong, man.
That's awesome. Now it will keep going. Now it's going to pick back up where it left off and it's going to keep doing stuff. So secret. Save to account. Fantastic. Now it's going to start building out again. So let it. Let it do its thing. And then all of a sudden, you're going to have an AI enabled application already. Super cool. It's been successfully added and we're going to make this work. It's missing the react helmet. I wonder if that's going to work. I've had problems with that before. Yeah, I noticed we're still having issues with the react helmet. Whatever. It'll find another way to do it, so that's cool. All right, let that keep going. Oh, here, one more thing. James, go back to open AI really quick that other tab and go ahead and scroll down a little bit and click Continue. Now what you have to do here is you do have to Add some credits. In order for this API to work, not all APIs require this. OpenAI is one. You got to add $5. So we'll click away from your screen, we'll stop sharing your screen, and you can, you can drop in your credit card and just put in, you know, sign up for that five bucks. Okay. You won't use the five bucks in the next month. That's a lot of credits with that, with that API, the way that we're sending that. Very cool. But do you see how easy that is, guys? To create an AI powered application now, we're gonna have to do some configuring, a little bit of like, hey, let's, let's work on this. Let's debug it, let's make sure it works. But within probably 10 minutes of work. Yeah, you know, it's going to be ready to rock.
I love that. It's a tailwind.
That's.
This is my favorite.
It's using, it's using best in class stuff. It's using, it's using good new technology that's really, really cool. And you don't have to learn it. You don't have to learn it. Right? I mean, if you know it, right. If you understand it, you, you have, you have an advantage. You can open up the code and see what it's doing and you can edit it a little bit if you want.
Do you though, I mean, or are you just gonna be slower?
Gonna be slower probably, but sometimes you're.
Like some fine tuning.
Yeah, I just want to change this color. I just want to move this little thing or this button needs to be.
Just a little bit.
Or I want to change the padding by just a tiny bit. Like, if you know that and you know exactly where to open, then you can be like, open, open, open. All right, change 1.75 to 2. You know, whatever. Like, you can, you can do that or you can just be like, hey, add a little padding on this side. Right. Make sure there's proper. Yeah, whatever you want to do.
So I can share mine if you like.
Let's see it.
Nick. Or did you want to stay with James? I forgot, I'm.
No, no, it's good. He's up and running now. So he's. His, his app is starting to build out now. Okay.
Well, I just, it just threw an error out, but.
Maybe that's okay. Let's.
Let's hold that still thinking it looks like.
Let's, let's talk through this. Yeah. So guys, you're going to See, it do a lot of errors like this.
Okay.
It will work.
I had mine up, it finished and then I, I was sent. It was trying to send a quote via SMS rather, which I don't have a paid service to do that yet. So I decided to switch it to email and I said use a little more blue than red. I had given it a. By the way, I added a final note there of a color scheme to use by searching for, you know, just a. Just a image of a. Of a color theme. And it did follow that pretty well.
So that's awesome.
Then I just had a couple changes and that's what it's doing now. So maybe it'll pull back up here in a sec.
Has it asked for a SendGrid API yet? It doesn't look like it. Right.
Yeah. Integrating with Send Grid.
It's integrated with Send Grid, but you didn't give it an API key.
No.
Yeah, yeah. So it won't work until you do that. And that's okay. It's totally fine. It looks like we might get a preview here. Hey, there we go.
Yeah.
Okay.
Pressure. Perfect.
Yeah.
That's his.
He's great. My cousin. He's like American flag and Eagle shirts and stuff. Anyway, so, yeah, focus on this instant quote calculator. This industry does not seem to do that. Everybody relies on. His big problem is trying to answer the phone. Whether he's got the hose in his hand or one of his employees does or he's, you know, and it's loud. You got to shut the, Shut the system off. So see, did this finish? No, it's still running.
Yeah. If you see that purple at the bottom, it's still going. Yeah, yeah.
So, but images. Yeah.
Leave something working on images or it might not even load those all the way. So one thing that I might consider if, if. If one of his main problems is is this, you know, the quoting piece, maybe we want to move it closer to the top. Right. Instead of having.
Yeah, agreed.
You know, maybe like, hey, let's get them into the calculator right away. Let's build. Let's build the calculator into the hero section. Right? Yeah.
Yep.
You know, tell it, Tell it that. Right. Tell it what you want to do. Right? I want to. I want that to be this. I want that to be the front and center feature of this. Right, yeah, whatever, you know, but yeah, it looks like you can select Send.
Grid is what it'll need. You said to. Was that true for email as well, or.
It seems like that it will be. Yeah. It'll need. It's gonna need an API key. And, you know, it's actually. And by the way, Twilio, in order to send text messages, it's actually free up to 100 messages a month. Right.
Oh, wow.
Even if you were just in a testing phase, right. You could set up Twilio, you could set up SendGrid and. And set up those emails. Do you have a domain? Do you have, like, the pressure. Perfect domain dot com. Yeah.
And I've got access to his GoDaddy as well.
Sweet. So we'll be able to set that up tomorrow.
Yeah. What about this database here? I did check the box one and set up of the.
I forget the name of it. Push that button. Push that button, baby. Yeah. Guys, so all of you, all of you want to push the add a database button. I don't know what it's going to say here. I want to see if it asks a question. But. But yeah, you want persistent data, you want logins, you want it to save your progress, you want it to save your searches. You're scraping your everything. You want. You want it to have a login system and a user system so that it has persistent data. So it's integrating with the PostgreSQL database. It's creating that over on the. You know, so if you actually, Justin, if you click over on the right above your website preview right now, right at the top left of that, of that little window, it says preview and you see a little plus button. Yeah, push that plus button. Yep. And then go ahead and click database. So just kind of right there in the middle. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, just click that and boom. Hey, database connected. If you click See my data. Well, there's zero tables right now, so it's not there yet. It's creating the tables right now. It's thinking through. All right, how do I need to build this database? I want everybody to do this in their app. As soon as they're up and running, I want you to add a database. If the button doesn't come up like it did for him, you can just open this tab and it will say, create a database. Yes. Go right and turn it on. And then you'll tell Replit, you'll say, hey, I just turned on the database. Please make sure this is, you know, please make sure it's working right and integrate. Please make sure it's integrated with the app.
Okay.
And that's. That's kind of really where I need to get you guys today on day one is you got a System, the database is up and you're. You're starting to roll forward. Okay, so all right, perfect. We'll stop your sharing just. And I can push the button here for you and, and we'll finish up. You know, we've got about 15 minutes left is all right. And so what do you, what are your thoughts? I want to, I want to just kind of talk philosophically for a second and I'm sure you guys will keep talking to your apps while we have this discussion a little bit and starting to improve it and say, fix this button, move this, make that work, whatever. You can keep doing that. You just use natural language. But what are your. How has. Maybe just even after the first few hours here, how have your, you know, how's your understanding of AI and considering what this does, like, what does this mean for the world? Right? What does it mean for you and your businesses and your ideas and like, I want to hear just some thoughts.
Feels like the barrier to entry is so low now. Just. I'm so curious, like once. Because not everyone realizes they can do this kind of stuff, right?
And not yet, but, but like in.
Five years, people are going to know. And I'm curious at like how that's going to change so many things. You know, it's like there'll be so many competitors, so many businesses, so many different things will be done probably to add value over your competitors because, you know, people can make some crazy products really fast. Yeah, I'm kind of curious. I don't know how things will be down the road, but for now, you know, we have a couple year window probably where it's like, I feel like I'm on the in crowd, you know, so we can like make some pretty cool stuff.
Oh, this is like, this feels to me, guys, like 1998, this.com bomb. And there's going to be this, this window. And it's probably two to three years. I don't even think it's five. I think it's two to three years where you guys, if you know this and you move fast and you run fast, you're gonna look like they're gonna be like, how big is your team? How are you doing this? Right? And even if they understand like what AI is, most people again are still stuck at. Oh yeah, like I downloaded ChatGPT on my phone and it's like, it's all.
Right, you know, it's like Google, but I don't know.
Yeah, exactly. They have no idea.
Yeah.
Use an agent. An agentic system.
Yeah.
One of the Things that we're doing here that I, that I kind of glossed over and I shouldn't have is what these agents are doing is called chain of thought reasoning. Okay. And let me, let me demonstrate what this is like. Stephen, tell me, what's your routine for getting ready in the morning? How do you get ready in the morning?
I get out of bed, I throw some pants on that are usually on the side of the bed.
Nice.
Go and make, I go and make my daughter some chocolate milk. And I'll go and I'll.
You know.
Help my other daughters. My daughters are usually. Who wakes me up. Then I'll go and put, I'll work out, then shower and put actual clothes on and I'll eat breakfast, make breakfast for the girls and brush my teeth and go.
All right, perfect. We'll focus on that last one. Brush your teeth. I want you to break that down. Like, pretend you're teaching, like someone who's never brushed their teeth before. Tell me step by step how you would brush your teeth.
So you need to first pick up the toothbrush with one hand, the back down. You need to pick up the toothpaste, make sure the lid is unscrewed. Then you pick up the toothbrush. You squeeze a pea sized amount of toothpaste onto the bristles of the toothbrush. You put the toothbrush in your mouth and brush back and forth on your front teeth. Get the back, bottom, brush your tongue. Do it by a sink. Fit. Rinse some water with some water.
Yeah.
Do it for two minutes.
Okay, Got it. Perfect. You're done. That's, that's basically it. Yeah, you nailed it.
Right?
But, but you're technically, when you say I brush my teeth, well, you're actually talking about maybe like 15 actions. Really, that are kind of that. Yeah, you understand, like, you don't have to think about it. We've got, we have quantum computers in our, in our heads. Right. Like we can think like crazy. In our heads. We have agentic thinking and chain of thought, thinking and reasoning already installed. Right. It's already there. And so what the agent is doing is it takes something like, I need to get ready in the morning. And it breaks out all the subtasks. I'm going to help my daughter with this and my, my daughter with this. I'm going to make breakfast, I'm going to eat, I'm going to, I'm going to, you know, brush my teeth, I'm going to shower, I'm gonna, you know, get ready, I'm gonna iron my clothes, whatever and then even within each of those, there's subtasks and some sub. Subtasks, right? And it goes down and, and so that's what it's doing here, right? You've watched it do that. You've said, okay, I need to build a website. Well, let me think about this. How am I going to do that? You, some, whichever one of you got, you know, grok stuck in a, in a chain of thought reasoning that was like crazy. And you're like, dude, like, stop. Right? But it's trying to consider every sub, you know, possibility of that. I wonder how long it would have gone. That's, that's funny. That's interesting. And what kind of answer it would have come back with. But, but that's what REPLIT is. REPLIT is using chain of thought reasoning to tackle this. So when you say I need, I need to be able to send emails, it says, okay, great, well, I'm going to need a system to do that. Well, what should I use? I'm going to use SendGrid, because I like that API. That's good. Let's install the SendGrid package. Well, I'm going to need this, right? And whatever, right? And so then it just goes through. I'm going to need a form. You're going to have to be able to type a name, a first name and a last name. And I need this part of the form. And I need this part of the form. I need the message, I need to send button. I need to create an API key or, sorry, an API interaction between the button and the back end to initiate this. Like, I have to create all these different things. And you know, you know, Justin's like, yeah, right. Like, yeah, that's the system. That's how you do it. Well, now the AI just thinks through that whole process and just Boom, knocks out 100 components all at once. Because it knows, you know, that it needs all of these things together to interact for a normal website. And so anyway, chain of thought reasoning, guys, inside of AI changes the world in a big way. Like there's some even. How many of you guys have heard of Manus or seen Manus? The Manus is an agentic system that came out of China less than a month ago, I think, and it's amazing. It's not for website building necessarily, although it can do that, but it can do anything, right? You can give it crazy tasks and it will just take over. So I'll show Manus later, probably tomorrow or maybe even Friday. But Manus is really, really cool. But agentic thinking, guys, how does that change our world when all of a sudden it can take the tasks of your entire dev team? James. Right. And knock it out 10 times faster and probably 10 times better. Right. And so you're talking, you know, dramatic decreasing cost, dramatic increase in speed. What does that do to dev shops everywhere?
Yeah, my guys are out of work.
They are.
They don't know it yet.
And what's crazy and funny is that dev shops are the, they're all the ones that are in denial. They like some of these things and, and they give it a bad prompt like build a weather app. And they're like, yeah, it sucks. You know, they haven't taken the time to think through what does this really mean? And they're terrified. They don't want to prove that their job is gone. It's not obsolete. Junior developer.
I haven't taken that approach. I, I think embrace it and learn it and use it and then you can let your. What it can't think through is creativity and strategy. And that's where the strength comes in.
Like a dev shop before that charged 30, 40k for an app. Now they could charge 3k for the app and they could get it done in an afternoon and be like, I just made 3K in three hours. Like, that was awesome. And they saved their clients.
Very good, Ty. So, yes, they need to just adjust and change their pricing model. And you know all those people that couldn't afford their 20 or 30 or 40k build, you call them back and say, hey, I've got an idea. Yeah, let me do this for you. Right. Let me. Can I whip this up? If I can do it for 3k and get it up and working, will you pay me? Yeah. That's amazing. Right? All those small businesses that have wanted a nice new website, they can afford it now. And those 60 year old business owners are like, you're not going to teach them how to do it, you're just going to knock it out. They don't want to do it.
They have the money. They don't want to do all this.
Totally. You're going to charge them $6,000. It's going to take you one afternoon and now you can do one a day.
So, Stephen, you need to be, you, you need to be making a, a video library of these people's lives.
Yeah, that could be cool.
Yeah.
What.
Where does the. That was one of the suggestions when I was pinging with Grok is like, that could be an upsell. Is almost like a podcast. Ask of one of the interviews. Yeah, like, so that's why I went kind of down the live, the live route rather than the, the AI route. But you probably. It AI would definitely be more scalable, but I agree. A video, video version. What's that?
What if you just build a recorder, right? You build a, you build something that says, all right, record.
Oh, it's a funny.
And then the AI talks to you during the recording and says, hey, tell us about your child. What's your earliest memory? Where were you born? Tell us about your parents, tell us about your grandparents.
Here's what I would do.
Whatever I would.
I would literally tell my grandma, someone's going to call you this afternoon and they're going to ask you a hundred questions and I'm going to pay for it because I want it. And then, and then tomorrow they're going to call you and ask you 10 follow up questions. The next day they're going to call you and ask 10 follow up. Grandma, just do this for me because I really want this. And it's done. I would pay for that all day, but, but you're going to give me a good deal because I was here at the beginning.
Everybody in Cohort 8 gets 90 off. No, especially because we're going to know that you're using AI. We're know how much it actually costs you to do it.
Can I share something here real quick? It might for you in particular, I'll share my desktop. Okay. So my CFO here, I work at a custom denim blue jean company in North Mississippi, which is really cool, all American brand, but my CFO is.
He'S.
Trying, you know, so he took this, you know, bit of a white collar kind of a thing, but for sure. But like, he's like, I'm gonna take the Harvard Business School AI class. And he sent me some screenshots and yeah, he's already gone through it and like, this is about where it's at. It was more of like how to think about AI.
Six weeks, super. Not practical application. It's just like theoretical. Like pie in the sky. Yep.
Yeah. And so I've had a couple conversations with him about it and now he's starting to ask me some more questions about this. So this will be helpful all around. But just so you know, John, like, this seems to be at least one of the core, like one of the days that they taught about for a couple hours on just this slide. And he thought it was like a whole different way. I was like, yeah, that's just like, that's just data based Stuff, I guess.
But like.
So I think there, you know, this is definitely pretty cutting edge stuff that we kind of went through today and Harvard is. Seems to be a bit behind this.
Looks like they're teaching on like how you would build a model or like do basically what we're using.
Like this is building an LLM. Really?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was not practical, tactical. It was.
Yeah.
No. What's. What's your business owner. What's your CEO going to do with this? Like seriously, hire, hire. Some comments to me about it and.
Was like, how can we apply this? I'm like, I mean we could just start doing stuff, man.
I don't know.
I've already been using it for a few things that aren't coming, you know.
So stuff like that. Now are you smart enough, Justin, to take that, that slide open Chad GPT and figure out how to build your own custom LLM for what you guys are doing? Totally. You are. I 100% believe you are.
Do you?
No, no. You need to.
Yeah, I'm learning how to apply it. You know, we have this custom tailor app that gets body measurements and I'm working on a, an updated non clunky form version of the, you know, a conversational version rather than a like a form version. Custom patterns for the, for the pants, you know, and maybe that'll help the company be more forward thinking and ahead of the curve.
But.
Yeah, but it seems like it could knock something like that in a couple hours at this point.
No, you could using replit what you're doing now, you can build that entire new thing BY you know, 7pm like you could, you could knock this out fast now. So that's cool. But guys, that though. No, you're not gonna tell them that you're gonna keep getting paid money. You guys are now you have the secrets, right? At least the very beginnings of them. We're gonna get even crazier and it's gonna get even awesomer right now. We're gonna finish today. I want to watch just a quick video. Okay. It's like a three minute, maybe two minute video and it's just a screen recording. I'm sorry, it's not great quality.
I'm still stuck on spinning.
Will go James and share your screen. Yeah, let's fix this really, really quick for you.
I just wanted to do something before we. Before we end.
Before we finish. Yeah, yeah. Let's get it going. You want to have a working. A working product. Okay. I fixed the dependency issue by react helmet. Okay, perfect. You ran into A problem. Okay, this is what I want you to do. Are you on a Mac?
No.
Okay, that's fine. I want you to do, you know, take a screenshot of, like, part of your screen or whatever.
Sure.
Yeah. So just take a. Take a screenshot, and I want you to drag that screenshot to the agent. Okay. Yeah. You got your snipping tool. You're ready to rock here. Yeah. Only. Sorry, get rid of us. Right, so redo this snippet. Like, move our faces somewhere else. Like, click the little minus button or something so that you can't see our faces. And then I only want you to snippet the. Yeah, that part. Yeah, the preview part here. Okay. So you go back to the snippet tool and take that screenshot.
The whole thing or just this part?
Just the white part. Just that. Just that, you know, whatever thing here. Yeah, there you go. Now take that screenshot and. Yes, you're gonna have to save it or whatever. And. And then go back to the agent and anyway, we can set up your thing in a minute and then put that in there. And then just say, this is all I can see. Okay, so it's now going to see that there's a problem. And it should be able to parse the fact that that's a zoom control. Right. That it can see in that screenshot. Okay, so give that a second. We'll let it. We'll see what. We'll see what happens. Oh, yeah, you've. You actually also provided that document as well. And then I'll fix the dependencies. Okay, hold on. Go back to Preview. No, go back to Agent. Yeah, and say, say, get the app running. I can. All I see is like a red circle. Okay. All right, let's watch this video really quick, guys, while. While it thinks you should be able. Yeah, yeah, you should be able to redo that. Yeah, you kind of moved a few things around. Grab that bottom tab and drag it up to the right. Yeah. And try to just drop it there. There we go. And then maybe if you go to the top right over there, there's like three little arrow or three little dots. And then add pane right there. And then just say insert left. And then click Agent on the left there. Way over on the left and down and click Agent. There you go. And then click on preview again on the right. Now you get work for your workspace back. Yeah, so it's trying to figure out what's going on. So we'll let that keep going. All right, so I'll stop sharing for A second. Tell us what happens in a minute here after we watch this quick video. And I know guys, we're gonna go like three minutes over, but we'll be pretty quick here. All right, here we go. Share. And here's. Here's it. Let's just make this full screen. And I probably should have cropped this, but I didn't. So just deal with it. Yeah. Okay, this will work. So this is former Google CEO Eric Schmidt not too long ago.
We believe as an industry that in the next one year the vast majority of programmers will be replaced by AI programmers. We also believe that within one year you will have graduate level mathematicians that are at the tippy top of graduate math programs. So that's one year. Okay, what happens in two years? Well, I've just told you about reasoning and I told you about programming, and I told you about math. Programming plus math are the basis of sort of our whole digital world. So the evidence and the claims from the research groups in OpenAI and Anthropic and so forth is that there are now somewhere around 10 or 20% of the code that they're developing in their research programs is being generated by the computer. That's called recursive. Self improvement is the technical term. So what happens when this thing starts to scale?
Well, behalf.
One way to say this is that within three to five years we'll have what is called general intelligence, AGI, which can be defined as a system that is as smart as the smartest mathematician, physicist, you know, artist, writer, thinker, politician. I call this, by the way, the San Francisco consensus because everyone who believes this is in San Francisco, it may be the water. What happens when every single one of us has the equivalent of the smartest human on every problem in our pocket? But the reason I want to, I want to make the point here is that in the next year or two this foundation is being locked in and it's not, we're not going to stop.
It.
Gets much more interesting after that because remember, the computers are now doing self improvement. They're learning how to plan and they don't have to listen to us anymore. We call that super intelligence or asi. Artificial super intelligence. And this is the theory that there will be computers that are smarter than the sum of humans. The San Francisco Consensus is this occurs within 6 years just based on scaling. This path is not understood in our society. There's no language for what happens with the arrival of this. That's why it's underhyped. People do not understand what happens when you have intelligence. At this level, which is largely free.
Okay. Crazy, crazy stuff, guys. And we don't have time to respond to that today, but I want you to think about it the rest of the day and tomorrow. And we will start the day tomorrow with that discussion. James, are you unstuck yet or is.
Says it's making a more drastic change to the application. Can you now see the white page? Get worthy test page? Nope, I still can't, so I'll just say no.
Yep, keep telling it that, and eventually it'll be like, okay, I get it. Right. It'll find the problem. Occasionally. It's going to get stuck in loops tomorrow, guys. Today you're supposed that the idea is you get up and running, you start working, you start working on some improvements, you kind of learn how to talk to it a little bit. And then tomorrow you're going to have been frustrated and it's not going to do what you wanted, and you're going to get stuck in a couple places and we'll go over some tips and tricks about how to get the hose.
In his hand or one of his employees does, or he's, you know, and.
It'S loud, Got to get unstuck. Right. So it should be up and running pretty quick. James, I don't know why you're having a weird problem. I. I'm sure if I had a few minutes, I'd be able to figure it out. But I. I like using the screenshot to be like, this is what I see. And you show it. Like, I just see a red thing. Like, please fix this. Right. Is. Is this, you know, the quoting piece? Maybe we want to move it closer to the top. Right. Instead of having.
Yeah, agreed.
You know, maybe like, hey, let's get them into the calculator right away. Let's build. Let's build the calculator into the hero section. Right. The problem with the prompt when we. When we did it the first time is you had pasted those attachments about the business plan and all those things. We'll worry about those things. Okay. All right, guys, thanks so much. We'll. We'll Pick up tomorrow 1 1pm thank you.
Hey, thanks so much, guys.
See you tomorrow.
Yeah.
Yep.
You know, tell it. Tell it that. Right. Tell it what you want to do. Right? I want to. I want that to be this. I want that to be the front and center feature of this. Right, Whatever, you know, but yeah, it.
Looks like you can select send grid is what it'll need. You said to send. Was that true for email as well?
Or it seems like that it will be. Yeah, it'll need. It's gonna need an API key and, you know, it's free, actually. And by the way, Twilio, in order to send text messages, it's actually free up to a hundred messages a month. Right.
Oh, wow.
Even if you were just in the testing phase, right, you could set up Twilio, you could set up SendGrid and. And set up those emails. Do you have a domain? Do you have, like, the pressure perfect domain dot com.
Yeah, and I've got access to his GoDaddy as well.
Yes, go and turn it on. Then you'll tell Replit, you'll say, hey, I just turned on the database. Please make sure this is know. Please make sure it's working right. And integrate. Please make sure it's integrated with the app.
Okay.
And that's. That's kind of really where I need to get you guys today. On day one is you got a system. The database is up, and you're. You're starting to roll forward. Okay, so. All right, perfect. We'll stop your sharing just. And I can push the button here for you. And. And we'll finish up. You know, we've got about 15 minutes left. Is all right. And so what do you. What are your thoughts? I want to. I want to just kind of talk philosophically for a second, and I'm sure you guys will keep talking to your apps while we have this discussion a little bit and starting to improve it and say, hey, fix this button, move this, make that work. Whatever. You can keep doing that. You just use natural language. But what are your. How has. Maybe just even after the first few hours here, how have your. You know, how's your understanding of AI and considering what this does, like, what does this mean for the world, right? What does it mean for you and your businesses and your ideas? And, like, I want to hear just some thoughts.
Feels like the barrier to entry is so low.
