Cohort 8 - Day 3 - 4-25-2025

Live workshop (Cohort 8 — day 3) led by John Cheney with participants (Justin, Stephen, James). The session centers on the "surf don't swim" analogy (favoring composable/third‑party tech and AI-assisted rapid building over rebuilding everything), practical AI tool demos (ChatGPT/Grok, Operator screen automation, Omniparse, Replit for rapid prototyping, Runway/Cling/Vertex for video), and operational concerns (security: API keys, secrets, input sanitization, rate limits, auth/2FA, backups). John emphasizes rapid prototyping to reach a first customer, narrowing the gap between business and dev using AI, creating guardrails for custom GPTs/agents, and automating QA/pen‑tests and reminders. Also covered: marketing concepts ("messy middle"), storytelling use cases (bringing photos to life), and a software/tools checklist used in the course.
Chapters
So we don't forget.
Here we go.
All right. Yeah. So welcome to day three, guys. I just barely made it back from lunch. I had somebody from the earlier course this week say, hey, can we do lunch? So we did lunch at 11 from 11:30 to 12:30 up at, up at, you know, University Mall. And I made it back just in time, so. So anyway, excited to dive into some more discussion today and some more building and of course forward to seeing how your projects are coming along. Maybe even do some more QA and debugging. We'll do some, we're going to talk a little bit more today about like some security stuff, some, you know, penetration testing, you know, issues. Issues that, that you need to think about if you're going to put software out there in the world with people's information in it. Like, you got to protect not only your own API keys and things like that, but you got to protect your customer's data. I mean, that's, that's really critical. Like Steven, like maybe you have people's life stories, right? You don't want someone hacking in and you know, other people's life. Not that it's like that sensitive, but it's. You just don't want it to happen. Right? You don't want.
Also a selling point.
Yeah, yeah, totally. Yeah. If you know that you're secure and you know that you've got this, then people are going to feel really comfortable, you know, telling their life stories to you. So, so we'll talk about some of those things. And then I do want to use today as kind of some Q and A, you know, opportunities for everybody to just be like, hey, I'm trying to do this, or how do we approach this type of a problem? Where I was thinking about this, how do we do it? And that usually leads discussion down some fun roads to that help everybody, right? So these three hours will go by fast, so we'll go ahead and dive in. So I want to start off today, guys, same way we finished yesterday. Just kind of thinking about this surf versus or surf don't swim, you know, idea and want, want some follow up thoughts on that. What do you guys, what do you guys think? Also I'm going to drop a, I'm going to drop a link. Surf don't swim. Surf don't swim dot com. Yeah, there we go. I'll just drop this in the chat for you guys here if you want to.
I'm a big analogy fan. That was cool, revelatory with me. I shared it with agency, business partner because we're trying to figure out how that might apply to what we love to do with, with, with brands and standing things up and what that changes on. You know, we can respond to big boy RFPs with a team of three. Right? So, so there's a little bit of that perspective shift, but also trying to.
Trying to figure out how that might.
Apply to things that's, that scale up a little bit. Like, you know, like paid media marketing or like how does that, how do we tie AI into some, some of the, you know, traditionally top of funnel stuff, but really kind of the messy.
Middle part.
To, to optimize, you know, aspects like that, that off, that, you know, these brands live off of.
So I want you to better define the messy middle part.
All right, so Google has this sheet. You can look it up. It's, they did a study a few years ago. It's really cool. If you just look up Google, the messy middle, it's a good way to think about marketing, right? Because everybody's like, they talk about the funnel and it's like, oh, well, there's people up here and you gather them with organic social or paid social or Google PPC or I think all that's going away and going to change. I don't know how. And then, you know, get them to your website or landing page and you make the conversion and boom. That's the bottom of the funnel.
Right?
The website is the engine. But I don't think that it works like that. So Google has this model where there's a trigger and if you imagine like a figure eight in the middle, it's like the consumer or whatever, you know, community member that you're trying to convert or get to donate or whatever you're trying to figure out like, hey, why do I need this? I think I need a new mattress. You know, I woke up, my back hurt. Okay, I'm going to do some homework and then I'm going to kind of, I'm stuck somewhere in this messy middle that's like a loop and it's somewhere between education and looking into the brands and comparing. And then at some point something happens and there's a. You Dr. Out of that and you make that conversion. But this middle part is kind of like nobody really knows what's going on there. If you're, if you position yourself as the expert in the room. And oh, by the way, we happen to sell this product too. That's, that's more like the soft approach. That's a really good way to think about it. I think that's better than the old funnel model.
So.
But what I'm trying to think about, like how do we grab people and bring them to like this is, we're, this is an engine. How do I tie that top of funnel to the engine that we've been building last couple days?
There's, first of all, you know, and I said I was going to say this today. A lot of times talk to that, have that whole conversation with AI, like dig deep into it for a couple hours. Right. It understands that messy middle. It understands those problems and how to, how can we speed up, you know, you know, the decision making process? How can we make sure we, we have stronger landing pages, stronger calls to action, stronger whatever to get someone to get out of that messy middle faster. And so I would be, I would be discussing it with it, but, but then figure out how do we automate it. Right. Remember that the, that the definition of surfing versus swimming doesn't necessarily mean that it's AI powered. AI powered things. That's where I'm stuck, you know? Yeah. AI power. And this is good. This is good. I want you guys to be clear. The guy. So I just, I just shared that surf don't SW link. Jeremy H. Is the, is the offer. I'm sorry, the author, the author of this, of this book. And it's, it's not out yet, but he's, he's spent easily four hours on the phone with me just discussing this and I would say I think I'm surfing here. And he's like, nope, you're still swimming right now. I'm like, well, but I'm using this and I'm using that and I'm automating this. Like, nope, you're still swimming. Right. So I want to redefine it again so that you guys can really, really get it. Surfing means that you are, you are doing something that gets better as technology underneath or around you improves.
Right, right, right.
And that's still really hard to figure out. It's actually really helpful to try to explain that to an AI and then have it evaluate your ideas, right. So that it understands how to, how to surf versus swim and understands this analogy, but just automate. So let's say I'm going to build a system that optimizes landing pages. Okay, cool, right. Let's just say that's what we're building to, to help with the messy middle that is still swimming. Why?
I don't, I don't know.
Because you're having to build it, right? You have to build it. You have to build it, you have to maintain it. You're swimming there. Right. Whereas somebody else maybe already has made that. Right. Maybe it's AI powered, maybe it's not. But they've built a system that helps improve landing pages and optimize.
There's a bunch of those.
Don't build it even if you can. Right? If you can rebuild Calendly. Because you can. I bet all of us could rebuild Calendly in the next 25 minutes by easily, right? I really think we could. Where you're setting up, you know, something that automatically books calendar times and you build an interface and you call it, you know, Stephen Lee and James Lee entirely. And Justin Lee. Right. And now you've got your own Calendly version. And that's awesome. Now you don't have Calendly anymore. You just save 12 bucks a month. Perfect. Well, is that worth it? Well, what happens when Apple comes out with a new update to their calendars or Google comes out with a new update to their calendars? Or you decide, hey, I want one of those extra features that Calendly has. Oh, you know what? No big deal. Just go build it really quick. Right, but now you're competing with Calendly on your. On your own for 12 bucks. Like, no way. No way, man. I'm going to pay $12 and I'm going to surf what they've already built. And then if another solution comes out that's better, I can just swap that out. That's easy. I can swap out that technology, whatever it is, and I can just start to build this network of surfing, because I am not actually building anything. Really. Right here. Tyler, I'll let you in on your other device here. So does this mean that you can exclusively surf? No. No, it doesn't. Sometimes you do have to swim, but you just need to. I just want you guys to be aware that sometimes, sometimes you're surfing, sometimes you're swimming, and to look at your processes and say, hey, we're spending. I've got a developer or two developers managing a product over here that I could actually just be paying $70 a month for to use somebody else's thing. And so instead of paying two $8,000 a month salaries, I could just be paying 70 bucks. Okay, now we're thinking like a surfer instead of a swimmer. And now you as a solopreneur or a team of three guys or, or four guys or two guys, whatever, you can. You can do so much more if you figure out how you can surf on other people's Technologies. And then when you do need to swim, make sure you're doing it with AI, right? Do it fast, do it in a scalable way that helps you build and solve those problems. All right, so thoughts from the rest of the gallery.
For me, it was a little bit more not about the technology or its capacity. It's more about me being willing to get out of the weeds of the way I've been doing things for 30 years. And so it's like, oh, I could use this and give it to my programmers. And they, you know, I've. I'm just still trying to, like, get on top of the concepts and rather than swimming in the minutia, if that makes sense. So less about the technology, more about me as a. As a human.
That's very profound. Oh, wow.
I'm gonna write that down.
No, it's. It's hard. You should write it down. I'm gonna use that. That little. I'm gonna snip that and put it on LinkedIn as just a, you know, part of our discussion. Like, hey, this is. This guy gets it. But you're exactly right. Humans have to learn how to think differently now. I mean, that, that is the essence of this course, right? The way that we've been doing things since software existed over the last, you know, let's say 40 years, it just isn't the same anymore and never will be ever again. Right? We have to get out of the way and let AI take over a bunch. And that's a little bit maybe uncomfortable. And it should be. Should be uncomfortable, right? It's a big change. But, but, but it's an empowering uncomfortable, right? Once you get past that, you're saying, okay, oh, my gosh, I can do anything now. I can. I can whip something up super fast. So I just. This guy just went to lunch with he. He has 50 employees, and he's paying me to come in and teach his entire company. Right. Which is really cool. And so that was what the lunch was about. Just to discuss how we're gonna, how we're gonna tackle that. But, but one of the problems that he's been having that everybody has. I've had it too, as a CEO, right? Is he. He asks for a change to be made or he asked for some prototype to be spun up or whatever, like three weeks later goes by and, okay, we're ready to show you our first version. And they're like, oh, the button doesn't work. Sorry, guys, we're going to have to reschedule this. Two days later. We get it back on there again, okay, it works now we're ready to go. And then they finally get a look at it like, this isn't what I wanted. I wanted this, this and this. And you forgot the main idea. You missed the whole feature, right? That entire process is now, it's now 20 minutes instead of a month, right? And you can do it on your own even, even if you only use REPLIT to prototype, right? You rapid prototyping all the way and you're like, okay, it works exactly like I want it. Now you take this and they can, even the developers can then take that code, make it more scalable, make it prettier, do whatever they want. And you know, he still has 50 employees. He's got, he's got a big team, multi, multi, multi, multi million dollar, you know, operations there. But now he can save millions of dollars annually on wasted meetings and just miscommunication around. Developers usually don't have business minds like the business minds do. And business minds conversely, don't usually have the developer minds. And so we're narrowing that gap though, we're closing that gap so that we can very quickly and easily on both sides of the equation, understand what we mean, Right?
Yeah.
And that's part of what we're doing with replit, right, Is we're, we're acting like good communicators and leaders and entrepreneurs where we, before we just jump into replit and say, let's, let's build, right? We take the time to consider why are we building it? What is the purpose? What is the customer going to pay for? Where is the value? And we build out an actual business plan inside of chat, GPT and GROK and do all this research and all these things so that theoretically replit is building with a purpose towards I need that customer, I need that first customer. That's what I'm building for, right? And so every, every move I made in my three day sprint upon which this course is based was about how do I get to that first dollar as fast as humanly possible. I was trying to do it in two days, as I've shared. I didn't get there in two days. But, but I was trying, I was like, okay, I need a customer by tomorrow night. What do I need in order to make that happen? Oh, I need this Facebook page and I need this, I need that, I need that, I need this button to go here and I need a, a flow that that is, you know, has a high likelihood of converting here and all these different things, right? So yeah, when you, when you, when you narrow that gap of dev and business, man, you just speed things up so fast. Other thoughts, guys? And you don't have to, you don't have to jump in here and just open floor, open mic.
I was trying to think about if. I don't know, I was just like, equating it. I thought about it a number of times last night. I was just equating it to what I'm doing, like for business and for work, you know, and trying to figure out, like, am I swimming or am I surfing? You know, like for my real estate one, you know, I'll. This thing I'm trying to build to talk to agents automatically to have them send off market deals. I'm like, well, I mean, the software itself maybe is swimming, but also if I use the software and make a bunch of agent connections, as they get better at their jobs, it's like I'm surfing, right? As they get more effective, I get more effective 100%.
And I don't want you guys to be scared away from ever swimming. I want that to be clear. You do have to swim sometimes, right? You just have to know that at some point there may be something that comes in that can replace the swimming thing that you're doing, whatever it is, right?
Maybe paddling, right? I mean, I live in San Diego. You lay on your board and paddle a lot more than you surf.
And you're actually surfing. Totally. Totally. I mean, maybe, you know, maybe there's an agent at some point. Maybe there's some. At some point a more premium version of replit that you just turn it on and it's. It even like connects to ChatGPT. I don't know what it does. I mean, theoretically, you could probably do it already, but it's just already developing all the time for you. And it's just building out features constantly without you even having to direct it. Right now you're not even building. You're just like. It's pulling the thoughts through neural link out and it's just happening, you know, who knows? Who knows where that goes? Exactly. But. But you could think of some fun ways to get out of the swimming game, you know, completely. But again, plumbers are going to be swimming for a long time. No pun intended. Right? But I mean, there. It's very hard to teach a robot to go behind a toilet and twist something and switch it out, right. Without making some mistakes. I think it's. I think it's possible, but it's, you know, it requires very, very highly technical Improvements that just aren't there yet, like the dexterity of robot hands and all the things that need to happen and the vision and the precision and all that stuff. I just don't think we're there yet. I think, I think humans are going to be replacing toilets for a while. Still will that 10 years from now, will we be over that problem? I don't know. I hope so. I hope so because I don't want to weed anymore, right? I want Elon's, you know, optimus to work so that I can have one around my house to just do stuff that I don't want to do. And it's constantly working 247 even, right. Except when you got to probably charge them up. But, but I will be an early adopter, let's just say that. Good. Other thoughts on this, guys? Anything else that you're itching to say on this? You know, I, I had a. I watched an interesting video yesterday from somebody and he said, and it's. He was spot on. He said, you know, we pay people today based on a knowledge gap, right? You. Someone else has more knowledge than you do, and therefore you're willing to pay them. You're all on this course because of a knowledge gap, right? We pay, you know, my wife's a gardener. She, she. People will pay her to go build beautiful gardens in their, you know, in their front yards or the backyards, vegetable guard, whatever it is, right? She can do anything because she's better than other people. We pay lawyers because they know more about the law and how to navigate things. And I know there's some licensing in there, but let's keep that out of it, right? Doctors, you know, they, they know how to cut into your head and you don't. And so you're going to pay them to do it, right? Everything is about a knowledge gap. AI is going to fundamentally transform society because it's going to bring that knowledge gap to basically zero. Now, it's not going to bring the capital gap to zero, and it's not going to bring the experience gap to zero. So there's still going to be some. Plenty of opportunities, but there are going to be so many jobs that become worthless relatively, right? Just like I was talking to my wife about this when we were driving on the freeway yesterday, right? I pulled up next to someone, they're going 83. I pulled up, I'm going 83. And now relatively, we're both going zero, right? Our relativity same, right? If I, you know, now if I stay a little bit ahead of them, yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna leave them in the dust, right. Even if I'm going one mile an hour faster, eventually I'm miles ahead of them. Okay. And that's, that's where we are right now. Right now there is a massive, massive imbalance. There's a huge gap even just related to AI, right, where most people use AI or they, or they're like, yeah, AI is nothing, or it's kind of dumb or yeah, I saw it make a cool picture, but I don't really know how to use it. You know, whatever. Okay, great. Well, those people are going to be here. You guys are now up here. And whether you're building pools or building, you know, ads or running whatever, whatever it is, you have this gap here. And that's where all the money is made. That knowledge gap is there now. The world is going to slowly keep catching up. Now, I encourage all of you after this class to continue to improve so that you don't, you don't stop and just let the world catch up to you. You can stay ahead and keep doing that, but as long as you have a gap and you're ahead, you should be able to make a heck of a lot of money. And I believe that the, that the window of time of opportunity is probably somewhere in the three to five year range where if you go crazy for the next three to five years, you will make so much money you will never have to work again. You just will. I don't care what age you are right now, I don't care if you're 20 years old or 40 years old. You work as hard as you can for the next three years using these AI things and applying them, surfing everywhere you can and building like crazy and, and using your advantage of a higher level understanding of AI. All you have to do is make sure you're a little bit better than everyone around you. Anybody here know Garrett Gee or the Bucket List? Family?
High school with him. Yeah. Played soccer with him.
Fantastic. Great guy.
You guys all in Utah?
Yeah.
Yeah. Okay.
Yeah, a lot of us are. That's cool. And yeah, I mean, that's where I am. It's a. Naturally, my network is strong here and a lot of, a lot of Utah people jump on here. Occasionally we get people from the East Coast. Oh, that's cool.
I just. All good. I'm glad.
So anyway, Gary Garrick is super nice guy. I've spoken on stages with him, things like that, but I probably don't know him as well as Stephen does for sure, but you know, you probably know his story, Stephen, right? He went out and for those who don't know, he, he, he, you know, did basically a coding boot camp, right? Learned how to code, and then he wanted to make an app that, you know, now that he knows how to code, he's like, I'm going to build something cool. And at that time, back in, like, what, 2010, 2011, something like somewhere in there, 2012, maybe he was. Or QR code scanners were not. Were not as ubiquitous. You know, they weren't built into the camera back then, right? It was kind of a newer thing. And so he, he, he decided, okay, I'm going to build the best QR code scanner app, period. Right? So he downloaded the six or seven or eight that were out there right then at that moment, and he said, okay, let's test this. And he'd open it up and be like, okay, that took 1.4 seconds to get to the camera. I'm going to make mine less than a second. And then he'd scan a QR code. Okay, it took this one to do this. I'm going to make it even faster. And then when it does this, I'm going to make it automatically go here instead of having to wait. And so he just looked at all these different elements in all of the apps, and he said, okay, I now know what I need to build. I need to build something that's just a little bit better than everything else on, you know, all those things. And so he went and he built the best QR code scanner, and he started getting some downloads, and that was great, but he really wanted it to take off. And, and this is another thing we're talking about today, guys. A lot of sales and marketing, he really wanted to take off. And so he said, okay, I've seen some apps kind of blow up when this specific writer at TechCrunch writes about them. And so I want her to write about it, right? So he writes her letter, and she's like, yeah, it's kind of boring. Like, it's QR code scanner. Like, no, thanks. He's like, but please. And she's like, not. Not gonna do it. So he's. He's not gonna give up, right? If you know Garrett, he's, He's like, really tenacious. He is not gonna give up, right? And. And he knows he's got a good smile, and he take. Uses it to his advantage. And so he's like, if she meets me, she will write about this. And so he gets on a plane and he flies to San Francisco and goes to her office at TechCrunch and knocks on the door and. And says, hey, here I am. It's me. Here's my QR code scanner. She's like, what the heck are you doing? He's like, I'm taking you to lunch and I'm going to show you my thing. She's like, all right, well, I guess you're here. You know, whatever, let's go do it. So she sits down and. And he convinces her to do it using his. Using his charm. And she's like, well, now it's kind of a story because you flew out here. And so, you know, I've got. I've got maybe an angle on this. So. So she writes it and, you know, the rest of history gets 50 million downloads and then gets acquired by Snap for about $50 million, right? My Snapchat. And now his app Scan is the. Is still the backbone, is the thing that powers Snap codes, right? He built a super awesome QR code scanner, and now they're all in our phones, right? And so it seems like, what the heck, right? It's crazy. So anyway, all he did guys there now, he had. He was. He was tenacious that, you know, the way that he made it blow up is big, right? But. But his business plan in terms of his product was to be just a little bit better. So back to our surf versus swim and how do we stay ahead, Keep this gap, right? Don't stop learning when we're done with this course. Keep looking things. But now that you kind of know how to learn and know what? Now that this class has changed the way that you think about AI, just keep going, right? Keep learning and keep following it. And I'm happy to provide if you guys want. Some of the places I learn, honestly, most of where I learn is on Instagram.
Yeah.
Like, I just follow 30 or 40 different AI channels. And so anytime something new comes up, there's other people that are, you know, spending all day, you know, scouring the Internet for all the cool new stuff, and they post about it. And I'm like, ooh, that's really cool. I want to try it. And I. I'll jump in, I'll try something if. Or at least if I'm interested in it, right? So I see the cool new images and the new capabilities and the new prompts. And Twitter, Twitter's also good. X is good as well for seeing, like, hey, look at these 10 new prompts. Look at all these crazy results, right? Everybody's posts are the same, but. But they're. They're awesome. Right? It's good to know what is. What is AI capable of doing? And that'll keep you ahead and keep your. Keep your mind moving towards. Hey. Oh, that's a new thing. I could maybe surf on that. That's cool. All right. All right.
Yeah, I'd love to know what some of those accounts are.
Yeah, definitely. One of them is Metaverse with the A as an AT symbol. I think it's an AT symbol. Maybe it's a three. Sorry, no, it's a three. It's Metaverse with a. With a three in. As the. As the A, which I know is kind of weird, but I think. I think I'm right on that. Let me double check here. But that one, if you just follow that one, you're going to say. No, no. Yeah, it's Meta Burst with the. The three as the E. We have 1.3 million followers. And he's. He's kind of a more general tech. Tech guy, whatever. But. But he's, you know, anytime anything big with AI happens, like, it's. It's awesome. So. All right, Very good, guys. Let's see here. Okay. Trying to think what I want to do next. I know what I want to do next. We're going to show you guys. So one of you guys, we talked about a little bit about, like, having an AI, like, be able to control a screen for you, right? And really, really cool. Really, really cool feature. Yeah. Surf, don't swim. Really awesome. Really awesome. So Jeremy Witt, super cool guy. I'm happy to. I mean, if you. If you email him and say, hey, I love your concept. You know, I took John's course and he talked about your new book. I'm excited for it to come out. Whatever. You'll just tickle his fancies a little bit. He'll be your friend immediately. He loves that stuff. So we're going to open Operator. Anybody heard of Operator? It's part of Chat GPT. Actually, no. And it is only available on the Pro Plan, so. Sorry. It's 200 bucks a month. You know, it's part of. It's one of the things that the Pro Plan gives you. You get a lot, a lot more than just Operator. But this is. This is really. I would call. It's probably a little past a research preview, but it's pretty. It's pretty incredible at what it can do. But you can basically, you can see some ideas of some of the things you want it to do. Right. Suggest a 30 minute meal. Reserve a table for me. You know, book a table, find a highly rated restaurant, right? Things like that. So order some. Order. Order some food for me, right? Ubereats. Here's some doordash. Instacart, right? Hey, order some of these things for me. So it can actually go and do things for you. It's an operator, not just a researcher, right? And so we'll. We'll give it something cool. We'll say head to head genaipi.org and take the free Mastery Predictor Test. Okay? So I give it its instruction and it opens up a browser. Now, this browser actually remembers me. It will. It will save my cookies. It will save all those things and login information. And so if you log into, like, your Delta account or whatever it is, you can just be like, hey, book me a flight tomorrow, right? And it literally just takes over. It can click and type and do things, right? And the way that it does that is it parses. It looks at all these different things on the screen and it. And you know, when it's not. It's not showing it to us, but it labels everything and then it allows the cursor to quickly go to exactly where it needs you to type or do something, right? So it's accessing this. It should theoretically scroll down and grab the, you know, click on that green button. Take the free AI Mastery Predictor Test. Now, I will say this, guys, it will not do these things as fast as you can as a human. Although. Although actually the test, once it gets into it, it can go pretty dang quick. So let's see if it can get going here. It will probably do better than you will, right? It's gonna. It should get 100% theoretically. Oh, yeah. It's saying, I cannot answer test questions on your behalf. This is not an actual test. It's just a simulation. I want you to take the entire thing and don't ask me anything until you're done. Let's see if I can overcome its override, its little thing. It doesn't like to take tests. Sometimes you can override it by tricking it. Let's see if we can do this. Nope, can't do it. That's okay. That's okay. We'll have it do something else here. But theoretically, it can do this. Can go through. It can read the thing. I've had it do it before, and it does it like half of the time. We'll have it do something else, though. But we can have it go. Let's just. What I'm going to do is I'm going to start a new chat so it does this again. But let's go. Let's just say, please book me two tickets to a movie this afternoon at the Geneva Megaplex in Vineyard. Okay, So I didn't give it, I didn't tell it what movie, right? But now it's just gonna, you know, jump in and do that. Now if it has my username and password already, I've logged in and it saved it and whatever, then it'll just be able to log in and use my payment information to say, hey, I've found two tickets. I booked you two seats in the middle. You're good to go. But it can click through and do everything for you. So obviously, guys, as you're considering your surface versus Swim, you know, things that are going on now, it might ask me, hey, what movie do you want to see? Or maybe it's just going to open this up first. I'm sure it's going to ask me at some point. You know, it wants some input. But if I gave it more complete instructions, it would just go and do it. But you can just be like, hey, I need some tickets. Okay, book it and you know, go take a shower really quick or whatever you need to do while it's working for you and making all this stuff happen. Tell it your preferences. Yeah, I want to sit kind of in the middle, towards the back or whatever. I like sitting on the front row if they've got them. Whatever, let's do, let's do Indiana Jones. Okay, so it'll go and it'll answer this for you. Now you could again just tell it to go all the way through. Just say, I don't care what movie you pick, just pick a movie. And I need it to be somewhere around 6pm Pick something awesome. Don't make it rated R. Make it whatever you want. Whatever your preferences are, tell it and give it the instructions. Remember, AI doesn't make mistakes. The prompter does. Right. You just give it a bad prompt. Okay, so but right here it's, it's, you know, picking the movie. It should ask me. It might just select two seats. Let's see what it does here. So it's getting ready to do this. Selecting adjacent seats in auditorium. There we go. It's going to grab two seats right there. So it just kind of made a decision for me without me even act, you know, Tell me that. Yeah, now at any time I can put my mouse over you. See how it says take control and I can just take Control and finish it, right? So if I don't want it to actually do the payment part or I don't trust it with my credit card information, that's fine. If I do trust it, then I can say, hey, here's my Megaplex username and password. Here's my credit card. Or maybe my credit card's already stored on my Megaplex account. And so it just, it just does it, right? And it could go all the way through all. And then, you know, hey, you've got. It's in your email, right? It's been. It's been sent. So it's saying, now, hey, could you please provide me your first name, last name, and email address for ticket delivery? Right? So John Cheney. John cheney7gmail.com okay, boom. So there's my first and last name and my email address. And it, you know, it would take me just as long to fill out the thing myself. And so this isn't maybe the best example unless I really had given it all my information already in my initial prompt. Um, but, but anyway, it's pretty cool. It's pretty cool that it can take over a screen for you and do a lot. Now, while this is still working for a second, I'm going to open up a YouTube. This goes to my YouTube. Welcome to my YouTube. All right, let's see here. Let's go to OmniParkServe. So OmniParser kind of shows you how this works. Let's see if I can find. Yeah, let's click on this one and see if this actually. Okay, we need to get past the ad strongly for today's video. We're going to. Okay, let's see if I can find where it actually shows. It's pretty cool. It's pretty cool once you know how it works. Yeah, here we go. So see all these labels? It's like 40, 41, 42. Like it. See, so. So this is what the AI is actually reading. It's labeling this in an invisible way to the user. But this is how it knows where to click and where to type and what to do. It analyzes the whole screen and then says, okay, I need you to move to spot 27 and type something in here. Or I need you to consider this and change this and do that. Right? And so this is how it works. It's pretty dang cool. Now, OmniParser v2 is an open source software that I think is made by Microsoft. I think it's coming out of Microsoft. But the bottom line is you could say, hey, Replit, I want you to use Omniparse v2. And let's try to put something together. I have not tried to do this yet. This is a pretty advanced thing and I just honestly haven't had time since I kind of learned about it. But it's pretty dang cool. So you could technically build your own version of this. So. Hey, it's ready. Should I proceed? The payment section. Wait, the booking? Yeah, let's keep going. And it'll just keep doing it. Obviously, it's going to have to ask for different things. I could have given it my login so that it just does all this. So I think you guys get the point here. Pretty cool, though. Yeah. Don't you think? Don't you think Operator is pretty neat? Hey, cool. Yeah, I. I think it's. I think it's awesome. Again, I can go, you know, here.
It seems like an. It seems like an infant, though. Like.
Oh, yeah. You know, I agree. I agree this is. This is at the very, very beginning.
But it's cool, though.
But it's. It's going to be able to do a heck of a lot of stuff for you, right? If you want to remember and jump on Amazon and buy something. You what? Go ahead, remember.
Can't remember tasks. Like, if you have repetitive things, you got to like, enter data in a spreadsheet for your work or like, something that can, like, go look at one site, go back, and you're like, hey, do this for me every month.
Yeah, it can, but you don't have to use Operator for that. You just use Chat GPT for that. Okay, so here's a cool thing. Let's see here. Every Sunday night, I want you to create a shopping list for my family of six. We like steak and cereal and fruit and really don't have any allergies. Keep it. Keep. Keep us on our toes and give us new recipes every week. We eat sweet breakfasts and dinner together every day, but lunch is usually on our own. So I want meals for the whole week and the associated shopping list sent to me. Whoops me. By 7:00pm or at. At 7:00pm every Sunday night. Okay, so now I'm accessing the reminders tool, basically, I think right now, or at least the last time I checked, there's a limit of 10 you can do. And so it can't. It can't yet text or email, right? It will push it to me. If you have chat, the ChatGPT app on your phone, you'll get a notification that says, hey, your shopping list is ready and you click on it and it'll go right to the chat and it will show you everything. Okay. And it will do that every single week. Right? It's set. Okay. And, and so yeah, let's, yeah, let's, yeah. One. Yeah, option one. Go ahead. So it's going to give me my first shopping list right now. Here's all the breakfast, here's all the meals, and then here's your shopping list, right. So it can do, you can set it up to do anything, right? Or you can tell it, hey, I'm working out this week. I need you to keep track of this or whatever. Hey, I need you every single morning at 7am before the markets open, I need you to give me a buy, hold or sell rating on these 10 stocks. I want you to do research, I want you to look at relevant news. I want you to look at all these different things and then I want you to tell me, right? And boom. I actually have some alerts set up like that with ChatGPT, right. Does it work? Well, pretty well, actually. What I haven't done yet and is my next test is to hook up something that automatically takes those ratings and, and then use like a paper trading account and just let it automatically do it for me. Say, hey, I want you to, I want you to spend, you know, 500 on each of these stocks every single day. And I want you to do it based off of your recommendations, right? Buy, sell, hold, whatever, right? Here's some money in the account, go do it and then follow, let it let, you know, just kind of follow along for a month and see how it does. And you know, and you would build.
That like something with something like this versus like a whole software with replit.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I could do either way, right? I mean, I could say, hey, build me something that, you know, monitors, you know, the, the top performing, you know, micro stocks or, or micro cryptos or whatever they are, right? Memes, meme, coins, whatever. And, but to actually do the trading.
And stuff, this seems like to do the trading limited, right? As it seems like it has limited functionality.
Totally, totally. But you could have, you could, you could set up, you know, a cron job, something that's, that's doing, doing it, you know, schedule right for, you know, for your custom API integration in replit and you could have it do the same thing, right? Theoretically, that's what's doing here with this.
Could you be like, like if I was like, oh, go to all my like utility company websites and gather the info what I paid this month and put it into this Google sheet over here and it can do all that like and go look at all that.
Find it and yeah, you could automate that. Piece of cake.
Yeah.
How does it have your login credentials and stuff? Yeah, you test. Do you just give it to it? You say here's my username and password.
Yeah, that becomes a little bit more difficult. Operator might be, let's see here, let's look at operator ChatGPT. Let's see operator chat.
Does it get past the CAPTCHAs just fine?
It can get past it because it's operating, it's operating like a human. Yeah.
That's crazy.
So here's the question.
Can CAPTCHAs are worthless now?
Captures are now worthless.
They've gotten so much more intense. Just so obnoxious. I can't even get them right. It's like. Yeah, I feel them too.
Like that's kind of a stoplight. Like a little bit of it is a stoplight.
Exactly.
I know, I'm always, I hate that thing. It looks like, let's see the API here. Real time assistance API. So this is pretty cool. The assistance API is actually awesome. It can leverage models, tools and knowledge to do complex multi step tasks. I would play with the different APIs here but it doesn't look like the operator has an API yet. It should be there soon. But like one of you said, right, this thing's a baby, right? It's just getting started. It's just trying to figure things out. It needs to figure out how to be a lot smarter. But, but yeah, usernames and passwords are still going to be, you know, in your way a little bit obviously if it's public data. Right, right. Which one of you is it? Steven, you're building the lawyer one, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Raping, you know, court schedules and things like that. Like yeah, you do that every day. Set that up to just come back every day and do that automatically. So pretty cool. All right, very cool guys. So automations reminders, you know, parsing, you know you could, you could potentially try to set again. It's, it's still pretty new, still being worked on but my, my understanding is that this should be going pretty well in probably a few months I think. Omniparsia and these things are still at the beginning but they're going to be very, very powerful. So anyway, cool stuff. Let's see here. Let's delete this reminder. Okay. Okay, done. So I can, I can tell it to do that. And so you just, you just talk to you Just talk to it. Tell it to do that. There is. I think there's a model. Yeah, maybe not. Maybe they don't even have it here. Oh, one Legacy reasoning. Yeah, it used to be that you had to, like, go into, like a reminder setting, but now you just talk to chat GPT and you just tell it. I want this to be a reminder. So. Yep, you did fine there. Okay. All right, um, let's jump back into here. Hey, guys, I want to show just a couple of documents. So again, I've talked about this folder that you'll have access to. I will send it almost certainly by the end of today. If not today, this could be tomorrow. The only reason it would take me is because I have to wait until all of the YouTube links are uploaded. I've uploaded already session one and session two from yesterday and the day before. As soon as we finished today. It takes like 30 minutes to upload and 30 minutes to process and things like that. Right. But. But it should give me the link kind of right away when I started. So I should be able to send that pretty fast. And one of the things that the. That the email will have is access to this folder that has a lot of cool things. I actually redid the software and tools document here. I redid it today, this morning because I did a post on LinkedIn about it. I didn't really like the one that I had in here. And I was offering, you know, hey, get my. Get my list of, you know, free software and whatever, you know, so you can build your own thing. Right? That's marketing. Right, I'm marketing. And by the way, from those posts I got today, I've had seven people sign up for the course. And, and so it's, you know, I'm obviously in a hot market and that's great, and that helps with marketing, but social works. Guys, we're going to talk about that in a little bit. All right, so this. We don't need to go through all of it, but basically, you know, it'll kind of be a reminder of everything. Right? Here's ChatGPT. Here's how I used it. Here's Grok. Here's how I used it. Here's Replit. Here's how I used it. Right? And then here's website development, hosting. Here's replit, here's how we use it. Stripe GoDaddy, ChatGPT, Grok, MidJourney, Design Fiverr. Right? All these branding things we've talked about. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Facebook ads, Facebook pixels, LinkedIn, direct sales, Gmail, SendGrid, Replit, Zapier. You know, all these different things that work together. This is really all the software I use to build a business. And, you know, there's. There's certainly more outside of this, but these are the high level ones. So I should probably throw Runway in here because it's kind of a fun one. How many of you guys have not used Runway ML?
I haven't actually views almost everything else in your list there.
Runway super fun. And let's use it right now. I think it's a fun one to jump into. So Runway guys, is basically. Let's go to Dashboard.
Oh, it's video.
It's all kinds of stuff, right? So you could generate an image, you could generate a video. You can do act one, which will actually sync your lips to, you know, an AI and like, animate you. And it can do so many things, right? Some of you. Some of you may have seen my post that I did on Captain Moroni. For those of you who know this, who this is, but this is a classic image that's. That's been around forever and. And I just brought it to life.
Nice.
Pretty cool, huh? Right? Just slight movements, right? But you can do some really, really crazy stuff with this, right? Like, you can, like, I brought this. I brought this little elephant to life. That's pretty cool. Let's see if I can find. Let's see here. See all. Let's see if I can pull up this one. So here.
Don't be resurrecting Jesus on this thing now. Come on.
There's some crazy stuff in there.
I don't know if that's good or not.
So this is.
No, stop.
No, that's creepy.
So, yeah, that's crazy. I don't even. This isn't even like the best version, but it's bringing to life, you know, like, my grandparents that are dead now. And this. This is, you know, my mom is, I think, right here. This is my mom, right? But it brings those photos to life. And, you know, it takes some. It takes some work to. To get the right output. Like, I worked with this one for a bit.
This was.
Somebody else, you know, messaged me on LinkedIn. They're like, can you bring my. My grandparents to life? Whatever.
And so even wheels are spinning over there.
Look at this. Look how cool this is. Not awesome. It's like, totally brings these people to life and it has to assume a lot of things. But. But let's do this. Let's. Let's make something, right? Super storyteller, artistic.
Yeah, it's great for storytelling.
Great for storytelling. And quite frankly.
Sure.
It's just a lot of fun, guys. So let's see here. Let's go to. Let's go to Chat GPT. No, no, no, no, no, no. We're gonna do Mid Journey. We'll make this really awesome. So let's go to Mid Journey, and let's just come up with something cool. Dude, this is interesting. This is interesting. I kind of almost want to use that one. That's okay. Let's say actually know what we're going to do. There's actually a picture down here I want to bring to life. Let's bring this to life. Let's see what this scene actually looks like from a movie. Right? So let's. We'll just save the image here, and then we'll bounce back into Runway, and then we'll just say, new start a session, and we're going to grab this, drop it in, and then we have to describe the shot. Now, how can we describe the shot? Really, really well. Let's go to ChatGPT and let's drag this in. Say, give me a good description for mid or not mid joint for Runway ML 4.0 to bring this shot to live. Be creative, okay? So it can look at the picture. It knows what it is. Here's the prompt. Right? The camera slowly pushes in on a lone warrior standing on a stone balcony framed by ancient, you know, archers. Okay, that's great. Okay. The man does not flinch. The light shifts dramatically. All right, let's see. Let's see how it does bounce back to this. And we'll paste it, and we'll click, generate. So, like, all of the image generation things that we've done, guys, video generation is a guess and check. Game Runway is a really good solution. There's another one called Cling AI, and it is very, very capable. Some people like it better than Runway, and there's other solutions out there. And if you follow some of those, you know, Instagram accounts that I'm talking about, you'll see crazy examples of things, you know, that. That people can do. So Cling is a Chinese company, right? There's a Chinese version. Whatever. Obviously, you don't need that. But just, you know, FYI, it is. It is a Chinese one, but some of the stuff that's coming out of this. And then there's also the new Google. Google Video AI. What is it called? VO2. Yeah. VAO2 also creates unbelievable video, and I have not really had a chance. Look at this. This is all fake, guys. It's just amazing. Unbelievable what it can do and bring to life. And I've seen some very, very cool stuff. I don't know what Vertex AI is. I need to. I want to play around with this. I'm not going to play around with a ton right now. Vertex AI Studio, Console, Cloud. Yeah, I should. Should have access to this, maybe. Okay. To view this page, select a project. Media Studio. Select project. New project. I want to see if I can just drop this same prompt in here. I want to see how it does. You have 12 projects remaining. Okay. Create and. All right, well, that loads. Let's check on this. It's still at 53%. It's okay. All right, Media Studio. So start with a text prompt. I don't want to start with a text prompt. I want to start with a. An image.
I want.
I don't want to do that. Get inspired. We'll do a video. I have to enable billing. That's okay. I'll enable billing.
Try credit.
Let's see. Access to all Google Cloud products. Maybe I don't need. See here. What else is this going to give me? Start free. I like that. Pay as you go. Fantastic. Verify your identity. Maybe it already did that. Got it. Enable.
Okay.
This one's almost done. I love doing this, guys. I love taking prompts and trying them on three different models, right? Yeah.
That seems like a secret sauce right now.
Yeah, you just have to try it, right? I don't know what happened there. It went the wrong way. Where's billing to be enabled? I did enable that. All right, whatever. I'm not going to worry about this right now. I'll try it later and I'll send you guys the results on. If you guys haven't joined the Facebook group yet, join that. I don't know if I did. I share the link with you guys already. I might have, but if I didn't, then. Hold on. Let's close out Facebook. So we're not getting tons of messages here, but I will open this up again. Make sure you join this group, guys, so that you have access to my kayaking buddies. I need to go kayaking with them this weekend. I found out that Bridal Veil is on, which is super, super awesome. And we'll drop this into the chat here and you guys can join that. But this is the place where you're going to see me talk about stuff like this. After the course is over, you'll still. Still see me do it. All right, let's see how it did. Let's See how this, this turned out here. So nice slow zoom. There's some lightning. So this one's kind of slow and kind of boring. I want to bring it to life a lot more. So I'm going to say slowly pushes in. He gazes out. The heavens reward. Make the. Make the heavens be moving lot. Let's see. Make the heavens have lots of dynamic motion figured out. That phrase actually works really well. Have some heavenly warriors scene from the sky. All right, we'll see what happens with that. And we don't have to sit here and watch this and wait. It took a few minutes to do that. So we'll keep moving on. But as we're going throughout the day, we'll kind of bounce around on these different things. But, but I really like Runway Veo. I've just seen some incredible things to do and again, obviously somehow I haven't quite figured this out. And that's fine. Like no big deal. Vertex AI Studio. I wonder because this is not like an enterprise account. I wonder if I go to my. The one that I'm like actually paying already for all this stuff. Like I actually have billing set up. If it will just enable automatically for me.
While we're waiting here. I just. This just feels like it expanded my whole world as a, you know, front end developer essentially with a bunch of graphic chops and strategy chops, but just because of experience, but. And Ty, I can tell gilded on his example, but it's just everything seems so much more achievable without like a team of back end developers or something.
Yeah, Wild, Wild copy.
Vertex, huh?
I don't even know if this is what I want. Oh no. I want Media Studio. I want Media Studio and I want to do a video.
John, how do you think is going to shake out all the. The platform AI brain competitors? You think it's going to just narrow down?
I mean I think one brain to.
Rule them all or we'll end up.
With three or four or no, I mean we're gonna see so many competitors, guys. There's going to be so many things, you're not even gonna be able to keep up with them. And so you'll just find your own. You'll find your own and eventually, eventually, you know, you'll figure it out. But looks like I'm going kind of through the, through the same thing here. But it might work better because this is actually an enterprise account, a paid account instead of a free. It's like personal account. Let's see if this actually does something here. All right, let's Come back to Runway. We're going to close out of it here and here. BFEO is freaking amazing. And then cling. I really haven't done a lot with yet either. Whoops. Runway. Yeah. But, I mean, you can come up with just so many cool, creative ideas. I wish I could. Maybe I can. Maybe I can open this up. Open this in a new window. I want, like, a second. Copy paste and go back to my sessions. See how this one looks.
Oh, yeah.
This one. It was cool until it got weird, right? Whoa. Yeah, it did some weird stuff there. So this was another cool one. I was working on, trying to bring this guy to life. I wanted him to go and get on it, and then I wanted it to drive off. He did it.
Quad Robin Hood.
You don't want to ride that thing.
Come on, man. He needs a key, and he's going back.
Oh, so close it.
Yeah. Anyway, here's another one. This one's fun. Here it comes. Oh, no, it's wrong way. It obviously requires, you know, better prompting. And. And that's, again, it's always my fault. It's always the user's fault for doing that.
Like, this is. Movie directors probably do this for storyboarding and all that stuff.
Oh, yeah. I honestly think.
I honestly feel like that's more artistic than if it worked perfectly. Like, it. It would still be kind of. It'd still be cool if it worked perfectly. But it.
I don't know.
There's. There's something about it, like, him grabbing it and pushing it backwards, like.
So here's this. Check. Check this out.
There's something artistic and beautiful about that. I like that.
This is pretty cool. So check this out. Rec Garden's the artist here. So I had. I had Chat GPT create this, right? Create this image, and then somewhere I had it. I think it was in here. I swear it was in here. Maybe it's back here a little bit. Yeah, right here. This is it. And so I had it convert this image, and I said, please recreate this image in the style of Lord of the Rings animation.
Oh. Oh, cool.
That's what it created here. And then I took that, and I had another version here, but I took that, and then I dropped it into Runway. And then you saw some of the results there, right? But. But you can see, guys, how the power of having. Of combining multiple types of things. It's pretty cool. It's pretty cool. Let's see if we get a little more crazy here. All right. Something's happening. Here comes a warrior out of the Heavens.
Nice.
Yeah. Like, that's better than most 90s animation, right? That's pretty neat. Then what I can do is I can say, all right, I can restyle it. I can extend it. I don't even know if the extension is available on this specific model. There's different models, obviously, and you can do different things, but you can extend it to be as long as you want. As long as you use the right model at the beginning. You can say, extend 10 seconds. Extend 10 seconds. Extend 10 seconds. And eventually you can have all these different scenes and clips, and then obviously you can download them and throw them into. Into Adobe Premiere or whatever you want to, you know, to spruce it up and add sound and all those different things. And then you actually can come in here and you can have it add sound, right? You can go act one, and it will do all kinds of stuff. This one's pretty neat, right? Add a driving program, Add a video up to 30 seconds of queer facial expressions and minimal body movement. So you can actually have it add audio to, you know, to whatever so that it's talking or it's doing different things. So Runway is really, really fun, and I highly recommend you play with it. They also have an app, which is cool. Just download on your phone. You can do all this stuff on your phone. It's really, really awesome. Now it caught. Does. You know, there's. There's price. I don't know what I. I know I'm on the. On the pro version or something like that. And yeah, unlike. And I don't know what I pay. There's probably like 80 bucks a month for the pro. They. I think they have, you know, plans starting at 10, $10 a month, so most of them do. But I use this stuff a lot. And, you know, I'll have people reach out to me and be like, hey, will you bring my family to life? I've done it actually, a bunch of times. And. And they're like, I'll pay you like, 20 bucks a night. I've never, ever asked.
Even you. You're gonna be rich soon, dude. I was telling my mom about your idea, and she was like, yeah, it's got legs, man. You've got legs.
Well, you guys can be beta testers. Should have something.
Oh, thanks, Steven. Soon, I was hoping about a guy, maybe stock options, but, you know.
Beta testing.
Okay. All right, cool.
All right. We're going to try to give it this prompt that we had here. You know what? We'll just use this prompt. It's not going to start from the same image. So I don't have the same control, but I'm just curious to see. To see what it does here. Let's see. Here they are 16 by 9. That's good. Number of results. 4. It's interesting. Enable prompt enhancement person generation. Allow adults only. So will it allow to do that? Yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense. I don't think that means adult content, which is good because I didn't think Google would do that. Anyway. There are some models. Guys, on that note, just from a, you know, safety, you know, in terms of content, GROK can be pretty explicit. It'll. It'll just like go off. Right? Because Elon's kind of like that. He'll just let you do that so you can have some naughty conversations with Grok. The. You won't be able to have the same naughty conversations with ChatGPT. Won't happen. Won't work for you. And then there are a lot of models out there that people are spinning up that have zero controls. Right. And so you can ask it to do anything you want. You want it to create naked people. It'll do it. Right. And so, you know, obviously be careful in different models. In most of the major ones, you know, the chat GPTs and the Groxing, it won't create explicit content. It will. It will try to avoid, or at least from an image standpoint, GROK will swear at you for sure, and so will chatgpt for that matter. But it might be toned down a little bit from Grok, but it learns how you want to talk. I'm really curious as to what it's going to do here. All right, we've got all kinds of different options. It's interesting how, because I said Lord of the Rings animation style. Let's see what these all look like. This is kind of fun.
Okay.
He kind of like his leg went phase through, so. All right, whatever. Second guy run and he goes backwards. That's awesome.
He likes going backwards.
Yeah. I don't know why it clones sometimes. Why? Why it clones him. Right. And now I don't know what I can do here. Right. Can I from.
He's practicing for world domination.
Yeah, exactly, exactly. The question is, can I extend from here? Can I? Yeah. Report inappropriate content. You know, they're still playing with this thing, guys. But anyway, I'm going to play with this more later. I think it's really, really cool. It looks like right now it only allows me to generate eight seconds. And then if I want to extend it further, here's the cool thing, right? I can actually download this and then I could come back into Runway here and let's go. Go to Dashboard and we'll say generate video. No, I want to.
I want.
I don't want to select this. No, I want to. I know there's a way to extend video, and I don't know how to do it. Let's see here. All tools generate audio, expand image, Generate video. Yeah, it's gotta be. It's gotta be this one right here. But let's try to. Let's just try to drag this in. It might. It might not work. It doesn't look like it's wanting to do that or drag and drop here. Let's try to just drag this in and see if it will let me do that. I know that cling AI can do this really well. Yeah, it's wanting me to drop images only, right? It's just saying drop an image in there. So whatever it is what it is, play with these tools, guys. Have fun. I think that they're super, super useful, especially for people like Justin in a creative industry, understanding what's possible. So you don't have to go pay some studio to build some animation or whatever it is. Like, it can do crazy stuff, right? You start with an image in one get. You know, get a video from another. I'd love to be able to. I'd love to be able to upload an image to this as my starting point. But right now, it doesn't really want me to do that. It lets me do this. Submit a text prompt or upload an image for more actions. That's interesting. It's really interesting. Oh, let's try again. Upload an image that is in downloads. And let's go to images here. And here we go. Okay. AI actions. Synth ID not detected. I don't know what that means. Okay, what are my AI actions that I can do? I don't see anything. All right, fair enough. Well, anyway, that's enough on that. Any questions, guys? Related to video? This is kind of one of those things you just play with. So software tools. You guys have access to this. I'll add to it because I think it's. It's worth adding. Let's just copy my format here and paste this. And we'll add Runway ML used for video creation. We'll just say that User video creation. Have fun. All right, so it's there. You can remember what it is later. Other documents that are in here. Guys, another one that I wanted to talk about a little bit. We've gone over the coding. Quick start. We've gone over mastering replit software tools apparent. You know, we've done some of this in the beginning. Security. This is something that I want to focus on today a little bit. I think it's a very, very good discussion. It's not that difficult, actually. It's no more difficult than just having a conversation like we're having right now, just like anything else, right? You just have to remember to ask it, right? And so what I'll do is, you know, in my, in my actual projects, right? I'll go and I'll say, so let's go to my luxury aquatics one that we're working on for this one. And they'll just say, please run a security audit on this app. Don't write any code, just tell me, okay? So I just want to report. So now it's going to look at it now, obviously it's pretty low risk right now, probably. Now there is an AI right here. I did create an AI assistant, so there is an API right there that I don't want people to be able to snag. You know, I saw a post a couple days ago on LinkedIn where someone said, yeah, I built something with lovable, which is this right here. Lovable is like, is like replit, right? But. Oh, yeah, that's cool. Level 2.0. Ooh, that's gonna be fun. I'm gonna try it. But anyway, I had it build a weather app. And you know, it's very, very similar, right? You're talking to it. You have way less control, in my opinion, than you do in repl.it and that's why I don't like it as much. But, you know, I could ask it the same thing, right? Run a security audit, right? But I want to just see what it, what. I'm not going to give it any instructions. I just want to see what that, what that does. But somebody on LinkedIn said, yeah, I, I woke up to 104 bill on OpenAI, you know, in one day because somebody had gotten a hold of their AI key and then they used it to run a bunch of stuff, you know, overnight. So don't let your API key get out. Okay? So as I look at verde pools, right? And saying, hey, there's no authentication system, you know, so anyone can access administrative features right now, okay? So there's no permission checks to prevent unauthorized access to admin functionality. That's pretty critical, right? There is form validation with Zod. It's not consistently implemented across all API endpoints missing, sanitization. This is a big one. No sanitation of user inputs to prevent XSS attacks. Right. So this is something that could, you know, people could use to just like spam your site and do all kinds of stuff and just submit a bunch of forms and do things like that. There's no rate limiting same thing. So that's another denial of service type attack that can happen as well. Error handling, missing csrf. No cross site yet. No. Yeah, that definitely needs to be there. Passwords are being stored as plain text. It's not being hashed right now. We need that for sure. So that's important. Session handling isn't, you know, we haven't done any of these things yet, so I'm not surprised. But this is really the type of thing you're going to do probably as you go and definitely before you're doing your first real deployment, right. You're going to ask it. Now here's the thing. There's a lot of stuff. So it says, hey, the application needs significant security enhancements before it's ready for production. I'd recommend implementing proper authentication. Majida, whatever. Okay. All these different things. Would you like me to prioritize anything? And I would say, okay, let's start with authentication. And then I'm just going to lead it after it does that and sets those things up. Let's ask it this. Are my API keys protected? It's going to check the implementation with ChatGPT to make sure that the API key is somehow not being put into the. Or hard coded into the. Into the browser itself, into the client side code. That's what you don't want, right? You don't want something. That's what happened with the Lovable app is, you know, somebody, somebody built something and, you know, didn't do a great job. So Lovable did it as well. Hey, after reviewing your code, here's some things that you could do better, right? Client keys, they're published, safe to use, front end, no secret keys here. Recommended actions do this. Define this. That's pretty good. Actually. It's not. Not bad. Not bad for building a quick app. So let's see here. Currently there are no API keys used in the application. I can see. Are you sure about that? Maybe I didn't actually set that up, but I thought I did, maybe I didn't. I didn't yet. I thought I built that out. Maybe the chat with AI doesn't actually work yet. Hello, How does that work? I have no idea how that's working right now. It's not using ChatGPT. I'm going to ask it this. How does the Verde pools assistant work anyway? Guys, these are all things you want to understand, right? It's just building stuff and clearly doing stuff without me even knowing. And I want to know how it works. I'm going to talk to it, I'm going to ask it questions. But security so important.
Mine suggested rate limit and guardrails to my GPT knowledge based agent.
Stuff like that. You have to do that. So one of the things that I've built in, so when you actually build, I might actually just pull something up. It's quite basic static responses, front end. It's not doing that. Okay, I'm going to pull up another project I've done that had. Plan measure. No, it's not that. Flow transformation. Let's see if, let's see if this, if this has. Let's see Secrets. Yeah, it does have OpenAI. Okay, so this is pretty cool. This is important to help you guys understand and we'll help you start working on your databases and things like that in terms of how to build your own custom chat. Right.
Where did you click to see the secrets that were stored?
Yep. So yeah, you just click on the, on the tab and then just scroll down to secrets and it's one of the ones that's there. All right.
All right.
Okay, cool. Thanks. Yeah, but that lets you see which secrets are inside of your app itself. So in this one I have an OpenAI API key, a weather API key and some other things. And then you can look at your account secrets here too. This is actually all of the different keys that I have on, you know, available. Right. And so if I needed to just throw stripe really quick into a new app or something that was related to Gen API, then it already has it. I can just be like, hey, use my existing account stripe stuff and set this new thing up, right? Boom, done. I've got a new, maybe a funnel or something that just drives towards, you know, selling something and I can have it all, all working on the same systems very, very quickly. So it saves your account secrets there. All right, back to the preview. So here's here was, here was an idea I was working on, right. I've got Flow State leadership. That's one of my companies. And this is my, my nice logo, whatever. And I was like, I'm going to make a retreats, right? Let's, let's, let's do these retreats. They cost $10,000 or whatever and you know, we're going to go on Adventures and go kayaking and stuff. And we'll talk about leadership and entrepreneurship and AI and all these different things. Right? So I've got this chatbot here, right. And so I can say, how far is the sun from Earth? Enough about the sun. So here's a problem. The average distance from the Earth to the sun is about 93 million miles. This distance is referred to as an AU. Whatever. Okay, that's not great. I don't like that. Why is that bad?
That's irrelevant. You don't want your. You don't want them to work their GPT for everything on your agent.
Exactly. They're like, hey, this guy doesn't have any guardrails. I can just use this free GPT. I can do my homework right here. Right. Or I can run some business questions past it. Right now it looks like it probably is going to be a smaller. Let me ask it. Let me ask it something else. Write me a 400 word essay on the, you know, Dark Ages. See how it does. It might have some guardrails. And we're testing. I'm going to see if it actually does have some. I didn't set any up, I can tell you that. Okay. So this is really important. Hey, there you go. No guardrails. So it just did that. It's using my AI credits, my OpenAI credits, and, you know, here we go. Now we're talking about the Dark Ages on my flow state retreat site. That's definitely a no. No, we don't want to do this. Okay, so how do we create guardrails? Well, we need to adjust the prompt. Right. So there's a couple ways I can do that. Number one, I can tell the agents, hey, I want to make sure the OpenAI integration has some guardrails. I don't want people to be able to ask random questions. I want it to stay focused only on float state retreats and form validation with Zod. It's not consistently implemented across all API endpoints. Missing sanitization. This is a big one. No sanitization of user inputs to prevent XSS attacks. Right. Why? It clones him. Right. And now I don't know what I can do here. Right. Can I? So this is something that could. People could use to just like spam your site and do all kinds of stuff and just submit a bunch of.
He's practicing for world domination.
Yeah, exactly, exactly. To forms and do things like that. There's no rate limiting. Same thing. So that's another, you know, the question is, can I extend from here. Denial of service Type attack. That can happen as well. Error handling, missing csrf, no cross site. Yeah, no, yeah, that, that definitely needs to be there. Can I. Yeah. Report in. Passwords are being stored as plain text. Here's the cool thing, right? I can actually download this now. Here's the thing. There's a lot of stuff. So it says, hey, the application needs significant security enhancements before it's ready for production. I'd recommend implementing proper authentication. Majid it, whatever. Okay. All these different. And then I could come back into Runway here and let's go, go to Dashboard and we'll say general things. Would you like me to prioritize anything? And I would, I would say, okay, let's, let's start with authentication video. No, I want to, I don't want to select this. No, I want to. I know there's a way to extend video and I don't know how to do it. Let's see here. And then I'm just going to lead it and then, and after it does that and sets those things up and let's, let's ask it this. Are my API keys protected? Okay, so it's going to check the implementation with Chat GPT to make sure that the API key is somehow all tools generate audio, expand image, generate video. Yeah, it's gotta be, it's gotta be this one right here. But let's try to, let's just try to drag this in. It might, it might not work. It doesn't look like it's wanting to not being, you know, put into the. Or hard coded into the, into the browser itself, into the client side code. That's what you don't want, right? You don't want something. That's what happened to do that or drag and drop here, let's try to just drag this in and see. And with the lovable app is, you know, somebody, somebody built something and you know, didn't do a great job. So lovable did it as well. Hey, after reviewing your code, here's some things that you could do about it. Will let me do that. I know that cling AI can do this real, right? Client keys, they're published, safe to use front end. No secretly. Well, yeah. It's wanting me to drop images only, right? It's just saying drop an image. These here recommended actions. Do this. Define this. That's pretty good actually it's not there so whatever it is what it is. Play with these tools, guys. Have fun. But somebody on LinkedIn said, yeah, I, I woke up to $104 bill on OpenAI, you know, in one day because somebody had gotten a hold of their AI key and then they used it to run a bunch of stuff, you know, overnight. So don't let your API key, give it some guidelines so that it treats the customer properly and keeps responses short and sweet. Okay, so that's one way I can do it, right? I just tell my agent and it knows in the system where that is actually set up. Now, of course, I can go in and I can try to figure out where the heck it is. It's in, get out. Okay, so as I look at verde pools, right? And saying, hey, there's no authentication system. One of these, let's see here. Client knowledge base, source. No. So you know, so anyone can access administrative features right now. Okay, so there's no permission checks to prevent unauthorized access to admin functionality. That's pretty critical, right? There is form validation with Zod. It's not consistently implemented across all API endpoints. Missing. All right, let's see your components. Ah, sorry, I don't think it's here where the heck would it be? Where the heck would they put it? Oh, here we go. Here we go.
Server.
Nope, it's not there. I don't think it's going to be in shared. So anyway, I don't know where it is so I can ask them. I can say, hey, where is it? Tell me where it is. And by the way, sanitization, this is a big one. No sanitation of user inputs to prevent XSS attacks. Right? So this is something that could, you know, people could use to just like spam your site and do all kinds of stuff and just submit a bunch of. I can look at it. Open, server, open. Yeah, I wouldn't even pay attention. OpenAI TS There it is. Okay, so now this is where the prompt is actually stored, right? You're a helpful assistant for posting forms and do things like that. There's no rate limiting same thing. So that's another, you know, retreats. A premium adventure retreat company. Your name is Flow Guide. Okay. Founded by this. Here's what it is. When responding, friendly, conversational, provide, concise. So this is where you're providing. Remember, remember guys, in inside of chat GPT you can make your own GPT, right? We went over that on one. I think. I think we looked at that for a minute. Maybe we didn't, did we? Have we gone over this? How to make your own?
Not exactly. I kind of figured that out.
Okay guys, I'm sorry. Sometimes these courses like overlap in my brain. So this is my fault. But, but we. You can create your own money back inside of chat GPT. It's super, super easy. You come in here, you click create and you configure it. Right? You name your GPT like leo. Right. And Denial of service type attack. That can happen as well. Error handling, missing csrf. No cross site yet. No. Yeah, that definitely needs to be there. Passwords are being stored as plain text. It's not being hashed right now. We need that for sure. So that's important. Session handling isn't. We haven't done any of these things yet, so I'm not surprised. Let's see. Description. I know everything about, but this is really the type of thing you're going to do probably as you go and definitely before you're doing your first real deployment, right? You're going to ask it now here's the thing. There's a lot of stuff. So it says, hey, the application needs significant security enhancements. Lions. Right? And instructions teach the user about lions and nothing else. Okay, and what is a lion? Right? That's conversation Starter and where can I meet a lion for it's ready for production. I'd recommend implementing proper authentication. Majida whatever. Okay. All these different. Can I pet lions? All right, perfect. And then if I want to I can upload tons of files. Right. This is where I would upload all my database and everything that I want things. Would you like me to prioritize anything. And I would say okay, let's start with authentication. You can give it different capabilities. Web search, canvas, Dall E. What do you want it to be able to do? You can chin on that. I'm just going to lead it and then, and after it does that and sets those things create new actions. Different things it can do. But once you're done, you can have it create a you know, it can use Dall E. You can either upload a photo or just say hey make me one. So now it's going to use its own image AI job and let's, let's ask it this are my generation to create this. And you have now configured your own GPT. Now here's the problem. This custom GPT cannot be API'd into your system. Right. You can only use it on chat GPT. But guess what, what do you need? You need a name, you need a description, you need to give it some API keys protected. Okay so it's going to check the implementation with chat GBT to make sure that the API key is somehow instructions knowledge base.
That's the template.
Here you go. Not being put into the or hard coded into the. I just made that. Here are the instructions for it. So now if I talk to this I can into the browser itself into the client side code. That's what you don't want, right? You don't want something. That's what happens. Say, you know, teach me about the sun. Well I'd love to help. My expertise is specifically focused on flow state retreats. If you have any questions about it. And with the lovable app is you know, somebody, somebody built something and you know, didn't do a great job. So lovable did it as well. Hey, after reviewing your code, here's some things that you could do about it. Adventure based transformation experiences. Feel free to ask, blah blah, blah blah.
That's perfect guardrail.
But now it's, it's, it's kind, it's friendly. It said hey, you know, I can't really help you with that, but let me help you with this. Sure. Right. Client keys, they're published, safe to use front end. No secret. So now it's Totally useless as a homework helper, right? Or someone to help me do other tasks. I've these here. Recommended actions do this. Define this. That's pretty good actually. It's not giving it some guardrails in the prompt which is really all that this is. I've got my cool big lion here and I'm ready to create this thing. And I can say anyone with the link can use this. Or I'll just say I'm not bad. Not bad for building a quick app. So let's see here. Currently there are no API, only me for now because it's of kind of a fake GPT. But now I have this link. I can view it and I can come in here and I can click on this. Hey, can I pet lions? Right? That's a good conversation starter. I can. Okay. It's not safe to pet lions. All right, so it will teach me. But I've given it instructions about how it's going to work. I can come in, I can hide it, I can delete it, I can edit it, whatever I want to. Keys used in the application I can see. Are you sure about that? Maybe I didn't actually set that up, but I thought I did. Maybe I didn't. I didn't yet do but I actually have in here. So here's my Velocity Raptor sales guru. So my company Velocity Access, right? Let's say. Let's say I want to. I want. Let's see. I need an emeg cold email written for. I thought I built that out. Maybe the chat with AI doesn't actually work yet. Hello, How does that work to a con? Because I want to do their ticketing. I want to include high level pricing information. Keep it short enough. I have no idea how that's working right now. It's not using ChatGPT to be able to be read in 60 seconds. I'm going to ask it this. How does the verde pools and I can give it more instructions, right? But what it has Velocity Raptor sales guru has all of our company documents. It knows our pricing, it knows what we do, right? Just a simple processing model. Model 5% plus 20 cents per ticket. No monthly platform fees. It's all correct. Systems work anyway guys, these are all things you want to understand, right? It's just building stuff and clearly doing stuff without me even knowing, right? Venues like BYU Velocity Resorts Cubby center are already using our system to streamline operations and stream awesome. It knows all of our stuff, right? And so I can create this and use this internally at. @ you know for, for all of my sales reps that I hire now they, boom, they can be writing now. I could obviously automate this and rep it and build better stuff but. But that's pretty cool and I want to know how it works. I'm going to talk to it, I'm going to ask it questions. But secure. So important. Here's another use case. John Cheney's writing style. I downloaded every mine suggested like.
A rate, rate limit and guardrails to my, you know, GPT Knowledge based.
Agent. Yeah, stuff like that. You have to do that. So one of the things that I've built in. So when you actually build I might actually just pull something up. A single post I've ever done on LinkedIn and I uploaded every single thing I've ever written. There's a lot of things here. You can look at my edit GPT and it's not maybe everything, But I uploaded 15 different documents, different articles I've written. They're pretty long. Here are all of my shares. This document is massive. But now it knows how to write like me. Right. And so now I can say, hey, write a LinkedIn post for today that's relevant to current events. Awesome. Right? Here's LinkedIn postcraft and John Jeannie style relevant to today's current events. Global economic uncertainty plus AI disruption.
Cool. Where is it that you upload the.
Assets? Yeah. So when you create the GPT. Okay. It's pretty cool. That's a pretty cool. It's quite basic static responses, front end. It's not doing that. Okay. I'm going to pull up another project. I've done that, had. A plan. Measure. No, it's not that. Flow transformation. Let's see if, let's see if this, if this has secrets. That's so funny. That's crazy that it pulled that out. I must have written that in one of my articles or something because that's something. I know that that's a Chinese like idiom or a proverb I guess. Right. I mean that's.
Crazy.
Yeah. If you're not progressing, you're, you're, you're retreating here. Yeah. Or advancing. Yeah, there it is right there. I'm not even reading my own thing anyway, so that's really cool. Yeah, it does have OpenAI. Okay, so this is pretty cool. This is important to help you guys understand and we'll help you start working on your databases and things like that in terms of how to build your own custom.
Right. Where did you put, where did you click to see the.
Secrets. Yeah. When you're creating a GPT, you just, you go to your GPT, you click explore GPTs and restored. Yep. So yeah, you just click on the, on the tab and then just click Create or you click on my GPT to edit existing ones and then to add the files. It's right here, right? Upload files. And so upload 100 files, upload three files, whatever you want. And it's going to then pull that. There's your knowledge base. So how do we reconstruct this inside of Replit for our own Roll down to Secrets and it's one of the ones that's.
There. All right. All.
Right. Okay, cool, thanks. Yeah, but that lets you see which secrets are inside of your app itself. So in this one, I have an OpenAI API key, a weather API key, and some other things. And then you can look at your account secrets here too. This is actually all of the different keys that I have on, you know, available. Right. And so if I need one thing. Right. Since they won't let you API into it. Well, what if you just create a folder in here called Knowledge Base. Knowledge underscore Base. Oh, something already exists. Maybe I already did that. Knowledge Base. Yeah, I did. So this, yeah, we talked about this, Bridget, to just throw stripe really quick into a new app or something that was related to Genaipi. Then it already has it. I can just be like, hey, use my existing account Stripe stuff and set this. But now we're actually doing it. So Knowledge Base is here and I can then, you know, grab whatever files I want to, you know, upload and have it. Have it be aware of. Right, here's. Let's try. I don't know, none of this stuff is really good, but whatever, we'll just upload new thing up, right? Boom, done. I've got a new. Maybe a funnel or something that just drives towards, you know, selling something. And I can have it all, all working on the same systems very, very quickly. So it saves your. This image here to the knowledge base and I can just drag it in. Boom. See that? So I grab a bunch of files and upload them all at once if I want. And then I can instruct the GPT right where. And I can, I can change how OpenAI responds by either telling the agent, hey, I only want you to use information from the website itself and the knowledge base, that's where you get your answers from. Nowhere else. Right. Then it will count Secrets there. All right, back to the preview. So here's here was. Here was an idea I was working on. Right. I've got Flow answer only based on what it finds in the knowledge base. You can also, if you feel comfortable, you can open up the OpenAI TS right here and state leadership. That's one of my companies. And this is my. My nice logo, whatever. And I was like, I'm gonna make a retreats. Right? Let's. Let's. Let's do these retreats. They cost $10,000 or whatever. And you know, we're gonna go on adventures and go kayaking and stuff and we'll talk about leadership and entrepreneurship and AI and all these different things. Right? So I've got. And then you can just change this, right? So you can. You can. You can say this. You're a helpful assistant. Your name is flow guide. Right. You could say always this chatbot here, right? And so I can say how far? Call me or call the user your highness and address them with respect and warmth. It just filled that in for me. That's amazing. So now it is. You know, We've updated this OpenAI ts. That's fantastic. Let's see if we can start a new. Is the sun from Earth? Enough about the sun. So here's a problem. We'll do a quick refresh. Okay. And we'll. We'll see if it. If it answers something for us. Right? So tell me about. The average distance from the Earth to the sun is about 93 million miles. This distance is referred to as in the next available retreat. I'm actually curious to see au. Whatever. Okay, that's not great. I don't like that. Why is that bad? If it actually has figured this part out yet, I think I added a retreat. Well, I don't have specific. Oh yeah, it doesn't have information on that yet. Yeah, that's okay. So that means I haven't properly connected it to the side. I haven't told it exactly. You know what where it is. Although if I go into the database, I'm pretty dang sure here that I did set up one retreat. Nope. I didn't.
Add. That's irrelevant. You don't want them to work their GPT for everything on your.
Agent. Exactly. They're like, hey, this guy doesn't have any guardrails. I can just use this. So I'm not. It's. It's not wrong. Right. I swear I set one up. I thought I did. Maybe I didn't, but. But anyway, I could set up my first retreat and then it would. It should derive GPT. I can do my homework right here, right? Or I can Run some business questions, path directly, be able to look at the database. Now, it did not address me as your highness, which is interesting. Right now it looks like it probably is going to be a smaller. Let me ask it. Let me ask it something else. Write me a 400 word essay on the, you know, Dark ages. Let's try it. Let's see. Hold on. At least I don't think it did. Nope. All right, try again. No, it's not listening to me on this. And I don't know if it's because I have to, like, click out of this, I have to, like, do a manual update or how I actually make that. That's one thing I actually haven't completely figured out yet. Once I make it a manual update, maybe I have to close it. Maybe I just have to close that. Let's try it again. Hello? Please help me. Nope, it's not doing it. I don't know why it's not doing it. I've tried this before and it's actually worked quite well. Let me go back in here and see if it's there. Yep, it's there. It's still right there. But anyway, we get rid of that because we don't need it. But theoretically, you should be able to adjust your prompts in here and then it will fall. See how it does. It might have some guardrails. And we're testing and I'm going to see if it actually does have some. I didn't set any up, I can tell you that. Okay, so this is really important. Hey, there you go. No guardrails. So it just did that. It's using my AI credits, my OpenAI credits, and all the instructions. Now, how long do you guys think a prompt could be? You know, here we go. Now we're talking about the Dark Ages on my Flow state retreat site. That's definitely long, I.
Guess. As long as you want to pay.
For. Exactly. Ty. No, no, we don't want to do this. Okay, so how do we create guardrails? Well, we need to adjust. Yeah, you can make it super long. You can make it six pages if you want. Right. And quite frankly, some of the best AIs are six page prompts. Right? Because they have very specific instructions around all the different pathways around which you could go. Right. I had a guy maybe, maybe 6 weeks ago take the course, and he's a therapist, and he wanted to create an AI therapist that would answer just like him, Right. And so he has all these papers he's written and all these different things and dissertations and all this stuff. And even, even you know, like sanitized patient records, you know, things that he's talked about and books he's written. And so he's like, I'm going to upload the prompt, right? So there's a couple ways I can do that. Number one, I can tell the agent, hey, I want to make sure the OpenAI integration has some guard rails, all of this stuff and have it create, you know, like the ChatGPT or something and have it. I don't want people to be able to ask random questions. Create a really long in depth prompt that's going to really nail it so that if it's, you know, hey, if, if you know you're in therapy because your spouse is, you know, complaining because of finances. Well, let's, let's go this way, right? Or maybe there's infidelity. Let's go this way. I want it to stay focused. What if we do this? Hey, let's go this way. And here's certain key phrases and you know, the general pattern you want to follow. And you know, if they go down this, you know, if they start talking about suicide, you know, hey, let's redirect them over here and make sure that we, you know, that we, we have something that alerts a real person or whatever it is, right? So you can create really in depth prompts that give that AI a bunch of instructions on how to act, how to respond and only on flow state retreats and related information. Also please give it some guidelines so that it. And then, and then guys, the most important part is be your patient, right? Be your own customer, right? Go test that thing, try all these different scenarios and see how it does and then adjust as needed, right? Test and, and go back. Okay, but yeah, guys, make sure you keep your API keys safe, right? Your environment variables instead of hard coding secrets. Replit does this automatically. Okay. It. And another thing, another reason why this is really important, right? Is because if you need treats the customer properly and keeps you change that API key. Well, you don't have to go into the code and change it everywhere where it's mentioned. You just have to change the secret and it will update automatically everywhere because it's an, it's a variable, right? That's going to be just bonuses short and sweet. Okay, so that's one way I can do it, right? I just tell my agent and it knows in the system where that is actually set up. Hey, you know, so process environment, API key, that's what it will do. And you know you don't have to do now of course I can go in and I can try to figure out where the heck it is. It's in that you don't have to write that code, but you just have to know that's what's happening there. An example of this is on my genaipi.org I have a $39 AI proficiency certificate. Right? So you can take a test and get an official certificate that you could then go show your boss and try to get a raise. Or maybe you want it to put it on your resume or whatever it is. This price is not hard coded. It is pulling from the database. So if I go into my database here and I change, I go open up apps and I go into Jenny API and I go into database. See my data and I go to tests. Test questions. Tests, User test purchases. What is it? Test topics. Sorry, this is like a kind of complicated thing. I think it's actually full tests right here. Nope, it's not full tests. Where is it? I want to, I want to just show this because I think it's really cool in one of these. Let's see here. Client knowledge base. Source. No, sorry. Let's see your components. Ah, sorry, I don't think it's here. Where the heck would it be? Where the heck would they put it? Oh, here we go. Here we go. Server. Nope, it's not there. I don't think it's user test purchases. That's not going to be it. I'm going to be in shared. So anyway, I don't know where it is so I can ask them. I can say hey, where is it? Tell me where it is. And by the way, let me see if I can figure out where it is. Oh, certification test. That's where it is. Okay, so here's total number of questions. Price 3900. I can look at it. Open server. Open AI. Yeah, I wouldn't even pay attention. Open a TS. There it is. Okay, so now this is where the prompt is actually stored, right? You're a helpful assistant for Flow State Retreats, a premium adventure retreat company. Your name is Flow Guide. Okay, Founded by this. Here's what it is when responding. Friendly, conversational, provide, concise. So this is where you're providing. Remember, remember guys, in inside of chat GPT you can make your own GPT. I can change it to 119 0, right? So now it's $119. Oh, I don't want to add the record discard changes. 1190 click away. Save. Okay, so now Theoretically, if I built this right, I should be able to refresh this and that should say $119 per certificate. Boom. Hey, my test worked. Right? So that's super cool. So anywhere you guys are going to be building out your site and doing crazy stuff, you got to think ahead a little bit on stuff like this. So that if you change price of something, you know, it's not just pulling it because it might look perfect to you when you first build it. And then you're like, oh, I'm going to change the price. And you're like, oh, crap. This price is said three other places, but it was all hard coded instead of using a variable. Right. We went over that on one, I think. I think we looked at that for a minute. Maybe we didn't, did we? Have we gone? Right, so use the database. Have the record in the database, change it there so that. Then it's just. It's everywhere. Right. So if I go anywhere in the site right now to get that certification, remember this how to make your.
Own? Not exactly. I kind of figured that.
Out. Okay, guys, I'm sorry. Sometimes these courses like overlap in my brain. So this is my fault. But, but we. You can create and I wanted to buy this, then I would, I would, you know, if I click take test or something. I don't know if this might actually take me to test because I've already purchased one. Yeah. Anyway, inside of Chat GPT, it's super, super easy. You come in here, you click create and you configure it. Maybe if I sign out, I go to certification. Let's show it. Yeah, it's not even showing the price here. Oh, there it is, There it is. There's 119. So that's properly pulling from everywhere. You know where it would. Where that would show up. Right. So if I were to click Purchase, it would say make an account or sign up, whatever, and then it would take me to a purchase thing. Right. You name your GPT like Leo. Right. And. And even the stripe thing would be pulling in that hundred nineteen. Pulling from the database. Super, super important, guys, if you want to build scalable solutions. Okay. All right, now it's back to. Whoops. Jenny API. I. Let's see. Description. I know everything about. We're back to 39. Okay. So hopefully someone bought a test while we were doing that, but I don't think they did. All right. Security super good. There's a lot of things that Replit will do kind of automatically once you get your actual domain. And even if you're On a test domain, it will properly set up all your HTTPs stuff. It will set up the SSL certificates and the security. So you don't really need to worry about that. It's going to do it. Just, just know. And you know, you may fail and accidentally do this if you don't know, really. But if you go into your godaddy or whatever and there's a button and it'll say like, set up ssl, don't click that. Replit will do it for.
You. Okay.
Cool. Let it, let it take care of it for you. All right? Protect your database. Your database, guys, is the truth of everything. Also back up your database. I don't say that here, although I definitely should. You should have maybe a regular, maybe a daily backup, right? That just, hey, just drops into a folder. Here's the backups, right? And maybe you can delete backups after 30 days. You only need to be able to go back 30 days as needed. But, you know, or even a week, right? I mean, for that matter, it's just. You got lions, right? And instructions. Teach the user about lions and nothing else. Okay, and what is a lion, right? That's Conversation Starter. And where can I meet a lion? Can I pet lions? All right, perfect. And then if I want to, I can upload tons of files, right? This is where I would upload all my database and everything that I want, right? You can give it different capabilities. Web search, Canvas, Dall E. What do you want it to be able to do? You can create new actions, different things it can do. But once you're done, you can have it create a, you know, can use. You got to make sure that in case somebody does something crazy, there's something called a SQL injection where somebody can figure out where your database is and they figure out what your table looks like. And then they can like send a command that updates your database. And so not only is that, you know, dangerous, they could, they could steal from you, right? If you had products behind, you know, that data, Dall E, you can either upload a photo or just say, hey, make me one. So now it's going to use its own image AI base. You know, maybe they could change the price to one penny and then they buy a bunch of whatever it is and they, you know, it auto ships because you're surfing, right? And you know, let's say you have a physical product, right? It just automatically goes through a process. You start, start shipping out orders. You don't think to go check. And you're like, why does my stripe account only have 7 cents, right? Like, what the heck, this is crazy. So it should have, you know, $90 generation to create this and you have now configured your owners or whatever it is, so don't, don't let them do that. Now the way that you do that is you actually have GPT. Now here's the problem. This custom GPT cannot be API'd into your system, right? You can only use it on ChatGPT, but have proper, you know, security like a username and password, basically to be able to update something in your database and so make sure that. Guess what? What do you need? You need a name, you need a description, you need to give it some that, that it's set up that way. It should set it up that way on its own in repl.it One thing you could do, guys, also, if you're like, man, this is a lot of work. You can literally take this document, copy it, and drop it into repl.it and say, please run a check on my entire database or sorry, on my entire app and tell me if I have any problems. I want you guys thinking like that. I saw Stephen just be like, duh, you know, like instructions, knowledge base, that's the template. Here you go. I just made that. Here are the instructions for it. So now if I talk to this, I can say, teach me about the.
Sun. Yeah, I wouldn't have thought of.
That. Super.
Cool. Yeah. Use the tools that I'm providing and that other AIs and other things can provide to do cool stuff. Okay. We talked about API key storing, your secrets, web hooks, validate, input validation. Again, you don't need to understand all this stuff, but they're things that are good to check on, quite frankly. When your app runs the security audit, it should be looking for stuff like this. It should be looking for ways that people could potentially change the price of stripe. You know, after it gets the web hook, can it modify it afterwards, can it do all these things and can it inject stuff? It should be able to look for that. I've gotten a lot of business in the consulting world. I'd love to help. My expertise is specifically focused on flow state retreats. If you have any questions about our adventure based transformation experiences, feel free to ask. Blah, blah, blah, blah. That's perfect. But now it's, it's, it's kind, it's friendly, it said, hey, you know, I can't really help you with that, but let me help you with this. By hacking people's websites. And by hacking, I mean having my CTO hack. Because he's really good at it. He's. So now it's totally useless as a homework helper, right? Or someone to help me do other tasks. I've great at hacking. And he'll go in and he'll buy something that's supposed to be $150. He'll buy it for a dollar, right? Or he'll buy it for a penny. Or he'll add, you know, a hundred items to the cart and then change the price to a dollar. And then we'll. We'll finish the order and then I'll contact the company and I'll say, hey, we just bought a hundred of your items for a dollar. And would you like me to show you how we did that so we can help you fix this? And they're like, oh, my gosh, this is crazy. Thank you so much. Right. And they'll usually give me free products even if they don't end up hiring me. Giving it some guardrails in the prompt, which is really all that this is. I've got my cool big lion.
Here. How much do they pay for something like.
That? It.
Depends. I'm sure it depends on the.
Company. And I'm ready to create this thing. And I can say anyone with the link can use this. Or I'll just say it depends on the company. The size of the company. Yeah, that seems like it was whatever I've had people telling me for now because it's of kind of a fake GPT. But now I have the Amy anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 to, like, dive in and fix some things. That's cool. This link, I can view it and I can come in here and I can click on this. Hey, can I pet lions? Right? That's a good conversation starter. But anyway, yeah, don't hold people hostage. Like, be super cool about it. Right. And I am sure we could.
Also just have AI, like build something like that for you too, that finds.
Those. Yeah, go. Really? Websites that aren't. Yeah, that. Yeah. See, See if you can hack into this thing, right? Don't say hack. Say penetration test. That doesn't sound as bad. Or a pen test. Yep. By the way, guys. What? You know, how would you pen test your own site? How would you. How would you, you know? So for those of you don't know, pen test is a penetration test. It's like, hey, how are they connecting? Okay. It's not safe to pet lions. All right? So it will teach me. But I've given it in some different ways that I could get in and mess with your site or you know, log into your database. Anybody have any good ways you could build JavaScript.
Injection? You.
Know, think easier, think more AI how can you build pen tests into your. Maybe into your admin.
Dashboard. Oh, oh.
Yeah. What if you use objections about how it's going to work? I can come in, I can hide it, I can delete it, I can edit it, whatever I want to do. But I actually have in here. So here's my Velocity Rapture sales gurus from my company Velocity Access. Right? Let's say, let's say I want automate pen tests. Right? Right along those lines, what about QA tests, right?
Yeah. Automated QA on a regular basis is something my boss would be real happy.
About. Heck yeah. Have it go in and click 150 different things and try all this stuff. Do I want. Let's see, I need automatically and then send you a report at the end, right? Automated pen tests, automated QA tests. You can just build a button in your admin that just says click and send me a report. Email me a report so I can email a cold email written for see this and then you can give the results of it to the AI and let it, let it fix it. Okay. To a con. Because I want. I don't think we need to do that. Hash passwords is a big one. If you don't to do their ticketing I want to include high level tell it to hash passwords. It won't now. I don't think I built well actually that's not true. It will hash passwords even if you don't tell it. I think Replit is getting smarter and starting to add some of these into its own prompts so that it knows, you know, always hash right by default. Hash passwords by default. Set up a database by default do this and so rep what's getting better and better and better. So anyway, let AI help you double check everything. Obviously there's no way even as pricing information. Keep it short and full time developer. You're going to catch it all. But yeah, use some of these, some of these examples. You can even say hey, are there other things like these questions that we should be asking? And it will say oh yeah, hey, to be able to be read in 60 seconds and I can give it more instructions, right? But what it has Velocity Raptor sales guru has all of our company documents. It knows our pricing, it knows what we do. Right. Just a simple process. This is another way that people could get in. Right? So keep improving over time 2fa is fantastic. Rate limiting is big time, right? You want to stop those brute force attacks and say model 5% plus 20 cents per ticket, no monthly platform fees. It's all correct. You don't have not to do that. You just have to know how to ask it, right? Security editors, it should by default do cores. Although sometimes cores can cause problems. Right? Venues like BYU Velocity Resorts Covey center are already using our system to streamline operations and stream. Awesome. It knows all of our stuff, right? And so I can create this and use this internally at you know, for all of my sales reps that I hire now they model 5% plus 20 cents per ticket, no monthly platform fees. It's all correct. Replit has a little bit of trouble with cores. Not. Not like they're not un overcomeable but sometimes it kind of forgets about them and then it has to go back and try to change it later and it can mess things up. So boom, they can be writing now. I could obviously automate this and replit and build better stuff, but. But that's pretty cool, right? Venues like BYU Velocity Resorts Cubby center already using our system to streamline operations. Stream awesome. It knows all of our stuff, right? And so I can create this and use this internally at at you know, for. For all of my sales reps that I hire now. They bottom line is guys, security matters and it just needs to be on your mind before you're deploying. Here's another use case. John Cheney's writing style. I downloaded every single post I've ever done on LinkedIn and I uploaded every single thing I've ever written. There's a lot of things here. You can look at my edit GPT and it's not maybe everything but I. I uploaded 15 different to the world. Make sure they can't just come in and steal all your stuff. Okay? Any questions on security documents? Different articles I've written, they're pretty long. Here are all of my shares. This document.
Is. No, but that was great. Thank you.
Security. That was.
Great. Awesome. Okay guys, we've got about 80 minutes left and boom, they can be writing now. I could obviously automate this and repl it and build better stuff, but. But that's pretty cool. Massive. But now it knows how to write like me, right? And so now I can say hey, write a LinkedIn post for today that's relevant to current events. Awesome, right? Here's a LinkedIn postcrafted to John Jeannie Star relevant to today's current events globe until we are done today and for the last kind of section here, I want to go over sales and marketing. Right. Getting to those customers. Right. How do you get to your first dollar as quick as. Oh, here's another use case. John Cheney's writing style. I downloaded every economic uncertainty plus AI disruption.
Cool. Where is it that you upload the.
Assets? Yeah. So when you create the GPT. Okay. It's pretty cool. That's a pretty cool.
Possible.
Yeah. Anybody remember how we made a business plan pushing the twi. That's so funny. That's.
Crazy. Gonna make a market.
Plan. Right. We can do it right now or we cannot do it right now. Maybe we'll get to it. But I want to talk for a minute about just kind of some high level principles, and I think it's probably worth at least doing an exercise, even if, if it's only for 10 minutes, to just kind of make your own marketing plan. Now that it pulled that out, I must have written that in one of my articles or something because that's something. I know that that's a Chinese, like, idiom or a proverb, I guess. Right. I mean, that's crazy. Yeah. If you're not progressing, you're, you're, you're retreating here. Yeah. There's a difference between a marketing plan or a monetization or advancing. Yeah, there it is right there. I'm not even reading my own thing anyway, so that's really cool. But yeah, when you're creating a GPT, you just, you go to your GPTs, you click explore GPTs and plan and get money in the next 24 hours plan. Oh, you click create or you click on my GPTs to edit existing ones and then to add the files. It's right here. Right. Okay. Right, Right. Those are all very different skills. Get money in the first 24 hours plan is going to be like, all right, who in your warm market knows about this? Right? Or what could you do? What could you paste? What? Upload files and so upload 100 files, upload three files, whatever you want could you do. What kind of ad could you run really quick? Is there a billboard you could throw up in a second that's digital and it's going to. Then pull that. There's your knowledge base. So how do we reconstruct this inside of replit for our own, you know, what is it? Right. There's so many different ways and ideas and you can be like, think out of the box. What can I do to do this? Right. Hey, go knock on your neighbor's door and see if they're willing to pay you money. You have to be willing to do that. If you want to get to your first dollar, you have to be willing to do anything. And I actually kind of see one thing, right? Since they won't let your API into it. Well, what if you just create a folder in here called Knowledge Base. Super Love Challenges. Because it kind of knocks down all of my normal barriers. Knowledge, underscore base. Oh, something already exists or inhibitions. Because I'm like, I am committed to my challenge. And I can even tell my neighbor when I go knock on his door to be like, hey, I have a challenge right now. I'm trying to get my first dollar for this product. Let me tell you what it is. Is this interesting to you? No, not really. Okay, great. I'm gonna go next door, right? Perfect. Right? Let's go talk. Let's just go find people. Let's go to the mall, walk up to people with a, with a clipboard and start talking to them. Okay, Maybe I already did that. Knowledge Base. Yeah, I did. So this, yeah, we talked about this brief. So before we get into making a marketing plan or a 24 hour dollar plan, but now we're actually doing it. So Knowledge Base is here and I can then, you know, grab whatever files I want to, you know, upload and have it, have it be aware of. Right. Here's. Let's try. I don't know, none of this stuff is really good, but whatever, we'll just upload. I want to talk just a little bit about sales and you know, I might be kind of smart about AI and technology and some of these things, but my, sorry guys, my computer cord is going to get like destroyed by my wheels on my chair here, this image here to the Knowledge Base and I can just drag it in. Boom. See that? So I can grab a bunch of files and upload them all at once if I want. And then I can instruct. My superpower is sales. That's what I do. That's what I've done my whole life. The GPT, right. And I can change how OpenAI responds by either telling the agent, hey, I only want you to use information from the website itself. And I've been a CEO obviously for a lot of my life or you know, the whole last decade. And I was, I was basically a CEO in my last three companies and I was, I was kind of the acting CEO and the one before that that I was in for three years. And before that I was a vp. And then before that I was, you know, kind of running my own things. But. But in all of these different things, I've always been in sales. I. When I was seven years old, I lived in Houston. I'm from Houston, Texas. And I would go down and you know, if you've ever lived there, if you're ever anywhere around Texas, you know that mistletoe grows in trees, grows in the knowledge base. That's where you get your answers from, nowhere else. Right. Then it will answer only based on what it finds in the knowledge base. You can also, if you feel comfortable, you can open up the OpenAI ts right here. And then you can just change this. Right. So you can say this. You're a helpful assistant. Your name is flow guide. Right. You could say always call me or call the user your highness. Pretty high. You got to get up there. You could climb up, but they're like these huge bushels that are like this big. Right. And you can just like and address them with respect and warmth. It just filled that in for me. That's amazing. So now chop down the branch and then it'll fall to the ground or whatever. You can lower it down with a rope if you want to be careful. And then you can cut out probably like a hundred different little, you know, door size mistletoes. And. And so I would do that and cut them out and then put them in Ziploc bags and go door to door and sell them for five bucks. Right? It is. You know, we've updated this OpenAI ts. That's fantastic. Let's see if we can start a new. We'll do a quick refresh.
Okay. And.
We'Ll. We'll see if it. If it answers something for us. Right. So tell me about the next available retreat. I'm actually curious to see. And so I've been selling like my whole life. I did five years of door. If it actually has figured this part out yet, I think I added a retreat in college and all that kind of stuff as a regional manager and did those types of things. I served a donut specific. Oh yeah. It doesn't have information on that yet. Yeah, that's okay. So that means I haven't properly connected mission for my church, which is obviously great sales training just because you're going out and you're talking to a lot of people side I haven't told it exactly, you know what where it is. Although if I go into the database, I'm pretty dang sure here that I did set up one retreat. Nope, I didn't. People every day and you learn how to how to. How to be quick on your feet. I sold before my mission. I sold. So I'm not. It's. It's not wrong. Right? I swear I set one up. I thought I did, maybe I didn't. Well, B2B. I sold credit card processing systems to small businesses so they, you know, merchant services, those types of things. And, and then in every single job I've ever been in, I have been the number one. But, but anyway, I could set up my first retreat and then it would. It should theoretically be able to look at the database. Now, it did not address me as your highness, which is interesting. Let's try it. Let's see. Hold on. At least I don't think it did. Salesperson. I. I've only worked for other companies for a few of them, but I was the top salesperson when I was hired by a guy named Sid Crominhook. In the. In the air. Nope Area. He's VC at Album now and he's one of the founding members of Album, if you've ever heard of them. And right out of college, right out of byu, I went to work for him down on Provost center street and had a little office there and it was selling student recruitment service. All right, try again. No, it's not listening to me on this. And I don't know if it's because I have to like click out of this perhaps like do a mattresses to colleges. Right. And so a digital platform that helped them get more students into their pipeline to annual update or how I actually make that. That's one thing I actually haven't completely figured out yet once I make it recruit to their college. And so I was hired as kind of an entry level guy like hey, you're going to support a manual update? Maybe I have to close it. Maybe I just have to close that. Let's try it again. Hello, this. You're going to support me, the founder and this other seniors ae that we're going to do this. And like three days after I was hired, after my first day they're like, hey, we're going to China for like a month because we're setting up a new office out there. So just kind of figure it out, you know, maybe you can try to pitch it yourself and you know, good luck. And I'm like, all right, sure, whatever. So they came back and I had sold $250,000 of contract. Please help me. Nope, it's not doing. I don't know why it's not doing. I've tried this before and it's actually worked quite well. And they're like, okay, we're taking you to AE immediately. And I'm all of a sudden making 200 grand, you know, like six weeks out of college, right. Doing awesome there. And so that, that's kind of been my experience my whole life. Let me go back in here and see if it's there. Yep, it's there. It's still right there. But anyway, we get rid of that because we don't need it. But theoretically you should be able to adjust your prompts in here and then it will fall really good at sales. But whether it's selling to, you know, the director of enrollment at Harvard University or selling to, you know, some random person that opened the door to the seven year old and I'm selling mistletoe. I've always been really, really good at one thing, and that is sitting on the other side of the desk with my customer. Right? You got to sit with your customer. And what I mean by that is you have to consider that you are part of their team. And all the instructions. Now how long do you guys think a prompt could.
Be? Pretty long, I.
Guess. As long as you want to pay for exactly.
Time. Yeah, you can make it super long. You can make it six pages if you want. Right. And quite frankly, some of the best AIs are six page prompts, right? Because they have very specific instructions around all the different pathways around which you could go. Right. I had a guy maybe, maybe 6 weeks ago take the course and he's a therapist and he wanted to create an AI therapist that would answer just like him, right? And so he has all these papers he's written and all these different things and dissertations and all this stuff and even, even, you know, like sanitized patient records, you know, things that he's talked about and books he's written. And so he's like, I'm going to upload all of this stuff and have it create, you know, like the ChatGPT or something and have it their interest, their best interest is your best interest. You have to create a really long in depth prompt that's going to really nail it. So that if it's, you know, hey, if, if you know, you're in therapy because your spouse is finding yourself, so much so that you have to be willing to walk away from the sale. You have to be willing to tell them, hey, my product is not going to work well for you and here's why, right? You understand them. You really, you know, and that goes through questions and trying to Understand, you know, complaining because of finances. Well, let's, let's go this way, right? Or maybe there's infidelity. Hey, let's go this way. What if we do this? Hey, let's to go this way. And here's certain key phrases and you know, the general pattern you want to follow. And you know, if they go down this, you know, if they start talking about suicide, you know, hey, let's redirect them over here and make sure that we stand and trying to, you know, your language, your language naturally changes when you, you know that we, we have something that alerts a real person or whatever it is, right? So you can create. Imagine that you are part of their team, right? Hey, I'm sitting on your side of the desk. Here's what I want to do here, right? Really in depth prompts that give that AI a bunch of instructions on how to act, how, how to respond. Here's what we need to do. Like you start to say we, right? They feel. And then, and then, guys, the most important part is be your patient, right? Be your own customer, right? Go test that thing. Try all these different scenarios and see how it does that. And they're all of a sudden you're part of the same team. It's not me versus you. It's not a competition. Is who's gonna, you know, hey, I made the sale. Yes, I won. No, it's never, ever, ever that you. And then adjust as needed, right? Test and, and go back. Okay. But yeah, guys, make sure you keep your API keys safe, right? Your environment variables instead of hard coding secrets. Replit does this automatically, okay? It. And it has to be. This is consultative selling, guys, right? It's consultative selling 101. You got to sit on their side of the desk. And if you do that, you're going to win, right? So, Stephen, you could literally, for another thing, another reason why this is really important, right, Is because if you need your website for your biography thing, you could have in the, in the HERO section change that API key. Well, you don't have to go into the code and change it everywhere where it's mentioned. You just have to change the secret. And it will update automatically everywhere because it's an. It's a variable, right? That's going to be just. And you can have a little video. You see this a lot of times the founder, you know, has a quick video in the HERO section and what, hey, you know, so process environment, API key. That's what it will do. And you know, and you don't have to do that, you don't have to write that code, but you just have to know that's, that's what's happening there. You know, it's your pitch. Hey, my grandma died a few years ago and she had so many amazing stories and we realized that nobody ever wrote them down. Nobody ever. An example of this is, you know, on my genaipi.org I have a 39 recorded them and. And that was really tough, right? And so kind of right as that happened, we kind of dollar AI proficiency certificate, right? So you can, you know, take a test and get an official certificate that you could then go show your boss and try to get a raise or maybe you want it to put on your resume or whatever it is. Realized we needed to do something in a funeral and I started working on this idea and I'm so happy it's here. Now. This price is not hard coded. It is pulling from the database price. So if I go into my database here and I change because now I literally have these beautiful books for all of my grandparents and even my parents where we tell our life stories and we can quickly and easily do it. And now here's the solution. Here's what we do. This, this, this and this. I go open up apps and I go into Gen API and I go into database. See my. You know, Your video is 40 seconds long, 45 seconds long. But you've connected with them, you're sitting on the same data. And I go to tests. Test question, name, side of the desk is them. I understand you. I had that problem. Here's where I can now help. Right? This tests user test purchases. What is it? Test topic. Sorry, this is like a. And you, your, your messaging throughout your entire site should feel like that kind of complicated thing. I think it's actually full tests right here. Nope, it's not full tests. Right. It should feel like we understand you. If I land on a site and all the things they're saying, where is it? I want to, I want to just show this because I think it's really cool. User test purchases. That's not going to be it. Let me see if I can figure out where it is. Oh, certification test. That's where it is. Okay, so here's total number of questions. Price 3900 are like, I feel like that. I feel like that. I feel like that. I feel like that. Right? Are you always tired? Right? Do you get brain fog in the afternoon? Right? I mean, some of these sites ask obvious questions. Questions. Everyone gets brain fog in the after grid. I can change it to 11900, right? So now it's $119. But hey, if so, man, then maybe you're like us and you'll take this supplement and it'll be magical, right? That's how the best sites convert, right? That's how the best march. Oh, I don't want to add the record. Discard changes. 11900 click away. Save. Okay, so now theoretically, if I built this right, I should be able to refresh this and that should say $119 per certificate. Marketing converts is where they. Is where you focus on sitting on their side of the desk and relating to them as quickly as possible. Then you can say almost anything you want. Once they view you as a peer or an equal, then you can say almost anything you want. And they will, they will agree with you. Or at least they're more likely to agree with you, right? Boom. Hey, my test worked, right? So that's super cool. Now so there's obviously psychology in sales guys, but. But you can apply that. So anywhere you guys are going to be building out your site and doing crazy stuff, you got to think ahead a little bit on stuff like this so that if you change the price of something, you know, it's not just pulling it because it might look perfect to you when you first build it. And then you're like, I'm going to change the price. And you're like, okay, crap. This price is said three other places, but it was all hard coded. Instead of using a variable, that general approach to almost anything you're doing, right? When I built Jenny API, my first, my first solution that I worked on, my marketing plan that I built in ChatGPT said, hey, let's build a, let's build a marketing funnel on Facebook, right? So use the database, have the record in the database, change it there so that then it Facebook. Because you're going to be trying to get, you know, it understood that it was. I was going to be trying to get customers at 10pm on Friday night. Like the only way you're going to get customers is on Facebook, right? Just it's everywhere, right? So if I go anywhere in the site right now to get that certification and I wanted to buy this, then I would, I would, you know, if I click take test or something, I don't know if this might actually take me to test. I've already purchased one. Yeah. Anyway, you're going to have to build an ad and drive people to a page and see who's up and who clicks on It, Right. And so I was like, great, let's build for that. Right? So I'll show you guys the whole process. I'll show you my Ads Manager account, all these things. Maybe if I sign out, I go to certification. Show it. Yeah, it's not even showing the price here. Oh, there it is, there it is. There's $119. So that's properly pulling from everywhere. You know where it would. Where that would show up. Right. So if I were to click purchase, it would say make an account or sign up, whatever, and then it would take me to a purchase thing. And even the stripe thing would be pulling in that one $19. Pulling from the database. Super, super AI stuff that I used to build that up. And even the AI that's inside of Facebook's Ads Manager and all this stuff that happens now. But important guys, do you want to build scalable solutions? Okay. All right. Now it's back to whoops gen API. We're back to $39. Okay. So hopefully someone bought a test while we were doing that, but I don't think they did. That didn't work. And the reason it didn't work is not because the Ads Manager didn't work. I actually drove 140 people to my site in one day, you know, from, from those ads. But it didn't work because I had a stripe configuration that was messed up. All right. Security super good. There's a lot of things that replit will do kind of automatically once you get your. And so I don't actually know if anyone tried to purchase it. And that's my actual domain. And even if you're on a test domain, it will properly set up all your agents. Right. So, but I woke up Sunday morning, or sorry, Monday morning, and I kind of found all that GTPS stuff. It will set up the SSL certificates and the security. So you don't really need to worry about that. It's going to stuff out. I was like, okay, well that didn't work. And then I was like, okay, let's see if I can optimize. And I fixed the problems and I kind of spent money fixing the problems. Like, okay, it works again. And then I was like. And it was like 8pm And I was like, I'm not going to turn the ad back on yet. Do it. Just, just know and you know, you may fail. And I think I'm gonna do something else. And then Tuesday morning I woke up, I was like, okay, I'm a salesman. I know how to sell stuff. And I think I built something pretty cool and I called up like five people, right? Actually, I messaged a couple people on LinkedIn that I kind of knew. Anybody know Johnny Hanna or ever met him or accidentally do this, if you don't know, really, but if you go into your godaddy or whatever and there's a button and then it'll say, like, set up ssl. Don't click that replit will do it for. You know who he is? Yeah. He's the CEO and founder of Homey and of Entrada. Point of the mountain, right? And. And then he's now he's with a company called Funnel Leasing. He's not the founder anymore. He's just kind of breathing for a minute, not. Not being the founder, which is good. Good, good thing to do. He's made a lot of money and he's got like eight.
Kids.
He's. He's a busy guy.
But. Okay.
Cool. Let it. Let it take care of it for you, all right? Protect your database. Your database, guys, is the truth of everything. Also, back up your database. I don't say that here, although I definitely should. You should have maybe a regular. Maybe a daily backup, right, that just. Hey, just drops into a folder. Here's the backups, right? And maybe you can delete backups after 30 days. You only need to be able to go back. Super cool guy. I'd met him a couple times. I was just a LinkedIn connection. I was like, hey, Johnny, I've got this cool 30 days as needed, but, you know, or even a week, right? I mean, for that matter. It's just, you got to. You got to make sure that in case somebody does something crazy, there's something called a SQL. This. This AI thing. I want to train your employees to be 100% more efficient. And he's like, sounds really cool conjecture where somebody can figure out where your database is, and they figure out what your table looks like, and then they can, like, send a command that updates your database. And so not only is that I, you know, can we jump on a call? And so we jumped on a call. By the end of that call, I had a $15,000 contract ready to rock, right? And so I got it. I got it in my first pitch, and I was like, that was pretty easy. And so I tried a couple more and got ahold of just random business owners and, you know, dangerous. They could. They could steal from you, right? If you had products behind, you know, that database, you know, maybe they could change the price to one penny and then they buy A bunch of whatever it is. And they, you know, and I got a few more. We got a $10,000 contract, an $8,000 contract, and a $12,000 contract. I got a few different ones. Auto ships. Because you're surfing, right? And, you know, let's say you have a physical product, right? It just automatically. And. And I learned this was really interesting. This is where, you know, the rubber meets the road. I learned those are processed, and you start shipping out orders. You don't think to go check, and you're like, why does my Stripe account only have $0.07? That while. Yes, the chat GBG plan to go after, you know, people late at night on Facebook might be good, which I don't. I actually haven't turned that ad back on, so I actually don't know if it works. I. I need to. It's just one of the things that I need to make sure I realign the funnel and then. And then. And then turn it right. Like, what the heck? This is crazy. So it should have, you know, $90 or. Or whatever it is. So don't. Don't let them do that. Now, the way that you do that is you actually have proper, you know, security, like a username and password, basically, to. To be able to update something in your database and so make sure that back on. But I learned very quickly that my offering resonated with business owners big time, because they're just like, wait, hold on. I have 20 employees, and you can make it. You can make us work like we have 40 employees without increasing my head count, or I can fire seven people and still get the same amount done. Okay, that. That it's set up that way. It should set it up that way on its own in replit. One thing you could do, guys, also, if you're like, man, this is a lot of work. You can literally take this document, copy it, and drop it into replit and say, please run a check on my entire data. Yeah, I want to. I want to know what that is. Right? Please come in and teach us. Please come in and teach me right? Or sorry, on my entire, you know, app, and, you know, tell me if I have any problems. Right? So I want you guys thinking like that. I saw Stephen just be like, duh, you know, like, yeah, yeah, I.
Didn'T. I wouldn't have thought of.
That. Yeah, super.
Cool. Yeah, you. And I've had many of those people come and actually take this course, and then they have me go and teach their. Teach their employees as well. And that's awesome. If any of you guys want to do that, let's do it. But use the tools that I'm providing and that other AIs and other things can provide to do cool stuff. Okay, we talked about, you know, API key storing your secrets, but the reality is, guys, you just have to. You just have to get going. Web hooks, you know, validate, input, validation. Again, you don't need to understand all this stuff. But the thing, you just have to try things with sales and marketing to get to your first dollar. You just have to ask for the sale. Okay. All right. I have a question. How many of you guys would be nervous, or is that a good to check on? Quite frankly, when your app runs the security audit, it should be looking for stuff like this. It should be looking for ways that. That people could potentially change the price of stripe or feel weird about putting your business in a social post on Facebook. Like, just telling your family and friends, like, hey, this one, you know, after it gets the web hook, can it modify it afterwards? Can it do all these things and can it inject stuff? It should be able to look for that. I've gotten a lot of business in the consulting world by hacking people's websites. And by hacking, I mean, having my CTO hack, because he's really good at it. He's great at hacking. And he'll go in and he'll buy something that's supposed to be $150. He'll buy it. This is what I'm working on. And, you know, if you're interested, you know, reach out to me. But any of you guys feel weird about a dollar, right? Or he'll buy it for a penny, or he'll add, you know, a hundred items saying that that's good. This is the first group. It's the first group to the cart. And then change the price to a dollar, and then we'll. We'll finish the order, and then I'll contact the company and I'll say, hey, we just bought 100 of your items for a dollar. And would you like me to show you how we did that so we can help you fix this? And they're like, oh, my gosh. Where everybody said no. Usually I get a good mixed bag. Some people are like, yeah, I don't want to do that. It's not my brand. Right. It's crazy. Thank you so much. Right. And they'll usually give me free products, even if they don't end up hiring.
Me. How much do they pay for something like.
That? It.
Depends. I'm sure it Depends on the.
Company. And it's funny. I'll ask them some funny questions. Someone will be like, well, yeah, it's not really my brand to talk about my business. And I was like, it's on. On. It's not on your brand for people to know how you make money or that you make money. It depends on the size of the.
Company. Yeah, that seems.
Like. And it was, whatever. I've had people pay me anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 to like dive in and fix some things. That's cool money. Or that you have money. Like someone said, well, I don't want my family to know that I have money. But anyway, yeah, don't hold people hostage. Like, be super cool about it. Right. And I.
Am. Yeah. Because have AI, like build something like that for you too, that finds.
Those. Yeah, go. Websites that aren't. Yeah, that, that. Yeah. See, see if you can hack into this thing. Right? Don't say hack. Say.
Okay. Anyway, so that's the worst thing that could.
Happen. A lot of people. Penetration test. That doesn't sound as bad. Or a pen test. People have this weird thing about like, I don't want to post about it, I want to talk about it. But here's the thing. Guess how much money I have spent advertising for this course. Gen aipi how to build a business in three.
Days?
None.
Zero.
Yep. By the way, guys. What? You know, how would you pen test your own site? How would you. How would you, you know. So for those of you don't know, pen test is a penetration test. It's like, hey, how are the different ways that I could get in and mess with your site or, you know, log into your database? Anybody have any good ways you.
Could build a JavaScript injection? You.
Know, easier think more AI. How can you build pen tests into your. Yeah, it's zero. It is absolutely zero. And I. You guys are maybe into your admin.
Dashboard. Oh, oh.
Yeah. I don't know. What if you just automate pen tests? Right, right along those lines. What about QA tests? These are about. I think I'm up to. I think I'm up to 80 students that have taken, that have paid for the course. I've done it. I've done some like, you know, student things where I teach like 30 or 40 students in like a two hour quick session, things like that. But, but in terms of like, actually, you know, 9, 10, 11, 12 hours, you know, sit. Right.
Yeah. Automated QA on a regular basis is something my boss would.
Be. Think easier. Think more AI. How can you Build pen tests into your real happy about Heck yeah. Have it go in and click 150 different things and try all this stuff automatically and then send you a report at the.
End.
Right? Automated pen tests, automated qa or maybe into your admin.
Dashboard. Oh, oh.
Yeah. What if you just automate pen tests? Right? Right along those lines. What about QA tests? Right?
Yeah. Automated QA on a regular basis is something my boss would be a.
Test. You can just build a button in your admin that just says click and send me a report. Email me a report so I can see this and then you can give the results of it to the AI and. And let it, let it fix it.
Okay. Real happy about.
It. Heck yeah. Have it go in and click 150 different things and try all this stuff down at a course. And doing this, I sold 80 of those. I've made $80,000 automatically. And then send you a report at the.
End.
Right? Automated pen tests, automated QA tests. You can just build a button in your admin that just says click and send me a report. Email me a report so I can see this and then you can give the results of it to the AI and. And let it, let it fix it. Okay. I don't think we need to do that. Hash passwords is the big one. If you don't tell it to hash passwords, it won't. Now I don't think I built well actually that's not true. It will hash passwords even if you don't tell it. I think, I think rep just by posting on social media and I posted on Facebook, Instagram X. I don't think we need to do that. Hash passwords is a big one. If you don't tell it to hash passwords, it won't. Now I don't think I built what is getting smarter and starting to add some of these into its own prompts so that it knows you know all. Well, actually that's not true. It will hash passwords even if you don't tell it. I think, I think replit is getting smarter and starting to add some of these into its own prompts so that it knows you know. Even though I haven't gotten any results, I don't have a great X following. I don't. But LinkedIn's big, right? LinkedIn's huge. Always hash right by default. Hash passwords by default. Set up a database by default. But I would say, I would say 75% have come from do this. And so rep. What's getting better and better and better. So anyway, let AI help you double check everything. Obviously there's no way even as LinkedIn and 25 from Facebook right now, if you go follow me on Facebook or LinkedIn or whatever, please hashtag right by default, hash passwords by default, set up a database. By default do this and so rep what's getting better and better and better. So anyway, full time developer, you're going to catch it all. But yeah, use some of these examples. You can even say, hey, let AI help you double check everything. Obviously there's no way even as a full time developer, you're going to catch it all. But yeah, use some of these examples. You can even say, hey, are there other things like these questions that we should be asking? And it will say, oh yeah, hey, this is another way that people could get in, right? So keep improving over time. 2fa is fantastic. Rate limiting is big time, right? You want to stop those brute force attacks and you'll see that I post about all kinds of things. I just don't really care what other people think about me. Id are there other things like these questions that we should be asking? And it will say, oh yeah, hey, this is another way that people could get in, right? So keep improving over time. Two fas, you don't have to know how to do that, you just have to know how to ask it, right? Security headers it should fantastic. Rate limiting is big time, right? You want to stop those brute force attacks and you don't have to know how to do that, you just have to know how to ask it, right? Security headers it should by default do cores, although sometimes cores can cause problems. Just want to share the things that I like. I post about my religious beliefs, I post about my music that I write, which is a big part of me, right? I've got. I've got three pianos in this.
Room. That's cool man. That's super.
Cool. I'm a musician and so I post about that a lot, right? I'll post it by default. Do Chorus Although sometimes cores can cause problems. Replit has a little bit of trouble with cores. Not, not like they're not un overcomeable, but sometimes it kind of forgets about them and then it has to go back and try to change it later and it can mess things up. So um, bottom line is guys, security matters and it just needs to be on your mind before you're deploying out. My kayaking. I'm a big time Whitewater kayaker. I just go to Texas. Said Bridal veil is on Provost on So that's the most exciting time of the year. This is better than Christmas to the world. Make sure they can't just come in and steal all your stuff. Okay? Any questions on.
Security? No, but that was great. Thank.
You. That was.
Great. Awesome. Okay, guys, we've got about 80 minutes left and I'm super excited to go up to the river and I might do it tonight after we're done here. Yep, I'm going to do it tonight. I just made that decision. So anyway, kayaking is awesome until we are done today. And for the last kind of section here, I want to go over sales and marketing, right? Getting to those customers, right? How do you get to your first dollar as quick as.
Possible?
Yeah. Anybody remember how we made a business plan? So I, but I post about everything that I do and so because I've kind of been posting for a long time, I've been posting for years and I post religiously every day and I do it and go and make a market plan, right? We can do it right now or we cannot do it right now. Maybe we'll get to it. But I want to talk for a minute about just kind of some high level principle for a few reasons. One, Facebook and LinkedIn and all these different platforms reward and I think it's probably worth at least doing an exercise, even if it's only for 10 minutes to just kind of make your own marketing plan. Now there's a difference between a marketing plan or a monetization view for being a regular creator, right? Doesn't even matter the quality. Plan and get money in the next 24 hours plan, okay? Right, right. Those are all very different skills. Get money in the first 24 hour post. If it gets one like whatever, right? Sometimes it gets 10,000 likes. Hours plan is going to be like, all right, who in your warm market knows about this, right? Or what could you do? What could you pace, what could you do? What kind of ad could you run really quick? Is there a billboard you could throw up in a second? That's, that's digital, right? I've got, I, I, I, I showed you guys. You know, my, my, you know, mud pipe, my poop pipe thing, you know, that has, you know, 150 million views right over on, on, you know, what is it, right? There's so many different ways and ideas and you can be like, think out of the box. What can I do to do this right? Hey, go knock on your neighbor's door and see if they're willing to pay you money. You have to be willing to do that, if you want to get to your first dollar, you have to be willing to do anything. And I actually kind of super love challenges because it kind of knocks down all of my normal barriers or inhibitions because I'm like, I am committed to my challenge and I can even tell my neighbor when I go knock on his door to be like, hey, I have a challenge right now. I'm trying to get my first dollar for this product. Let me tell you what it is. Is this interesting to you? No, not really. Okay, great. I'm gonna go next door, right? Perfect. Right? Let's go talk tick tock in different places. It's, you know, it's all over the place. It's on my Instagram, it's on my Facebook and viral thread. But let's just go find people, let's go to the mall, walk up to people with a, with a clipboard and start talking to them. Okay, so before we get into making a marketing plan or a 24 hour dollar plan, I want to talk just a little bit about sales. And you know, I might be kind of smart about AI and technology and some of these things, but my. Sorry. Picked it up. Viral hog picked it up. All these different things picked it up. And so they have tens of millions of views on each of those. So anyway, I'm just not afraid to post anything. And I do post regularly. If you want to use LinkedIn as a tool to sell, even just organic, not even, you know, or Facebook. You just got to start posting, post about something you're grateful for every day. I did that last year, guys. My computer cord is going to get like destroyed by my, my wheels on my chair here. My superpower is sales. That's what I do. That's what I've done my whole life. I've been a CEO obviously for a lot of my life or you know, the whole last decade. And I was, I was basically a CEO in my last three companies and I was, I was kind of the acting CEO and the one before that that I was in for three years. And before that I was a vp. And then before that I was, you know, kind of running my own things. But, but in all of these different things, I've always been in sales. I, when I was seven years old, I lived in Houston. I'm from Houston, Texas. And I would go down and here I did it from January 1st to December 31st. And it was really hard. It was hard even on the really tough days where I'm like, man, I am kind of just upset you know, if you've ever lived there, if you're ever anywhere around Texas, you know that mistletoe grows in trees, grows pretty high. You got to get up there. You could climb up, but they're like these huge bushels that are like this big, right? And you can just like world right now. And I don't have anything to be grateful for. It was really good just, you know, as a person, right, to go through that exercise. But just for my New Year's resolution, I just had this thought like, hey, chop down the branch and then it'll fall to the ground or whatever. You can lower it down with a rope if you want to be careful. And then you can cut out probably like a hundred different little, you know, door size mistletoes. And so I would do that and cut them out and then put them in Ziploc bags and go door to door and sell them for five bucks, right? And so I've been selling like my whole life. I did five years of door to door in college and all that kind of stuff as a regional manager and did those types of things. I served a mission for my church, which is obviously great sales training. Just because you're going out and you're talking to a lot of people. Post on Facebook, post on LinkedIn today. I'm going to post one thing every single day that I'm grateful for. And so every day, even if it was 11pm I'd be like, okay, I got to write something, I'm tired, whatever, but I'm going to post something. And I got easily 10,000 followers throughout the year just from those posts, right? But I post every single day and I use people every day. And you learn how to, how to, how to be quick on your feet. I sold before my mission, I sold B2B. I sold credit card processing systems to small businesses. So they, you know, merchant services, those types of things. And, and then in every single job I've ever been in, I have been the number one salesperson. I've only worked for other companies for a few of them, but I was the usually post two or three times a day on average. I post probably 30 times a day on earth. Sorry, 30 times a week on Facebook and on LinkedIn I post probably 10 to 12 times a week. Right? You don't on Facebook you can post more X. You can post 20 times a top salesperson. When I was hired by a guy named Sid Crominhoek in the, in the day and you're fine, it's not gonna, it's not gonna hurt your algorithm. In fact, you'll make more money and you'll get more people following you. He's VC at Album now and he's one of the founding members of Album, if you've ever heard of them. And right out of college, right out of byu, I, I went to work for him down on Provost center street and Day. And you're fine. It's not gonna, it's not gonna hurt your algorithm. In fact, you'll make more money and you'll get more people falling. Little office there. And it was selling student recruitment services to colleges, right? And so a digital platform that helped them get more students into their pipeline to recruit to their college. College. And so I was hired as kind of an entry level guy, like, hey, you're going to support this, you're going to support me, the founder and this other seniors, you know, AE that, you know, we're gonna do if you do that and I don't post enough. And we're going to talk about some social media automation here in a second. And then LinkedIn, you want to post at 6:45am Monday through Friday. If you do that, you're gonna win on selling you if you do that and I don't post enough. And we're going to talk about some social media automation here in a second. And then LinkedIn, you want to post at 6:45am Monday through Friday. If you do that, you're going to win on cities. And like three days after I was hired, after my first day, they're like, hey, we're going to China for like a month because we're setting up a new office. Saturday, post any time in the day but post because it still cares about your streak of all your posts. And Sunday, post about whatever you want. Sunday, I'll usually do something that's maybe a little bit more religious or hey, it's my day of rest. Nice to have a day off out there. So just kind of figure it out, you know, maybe you can try to pitch it yourself and you know, good luck. And I'm like, all right, sure, whatever. So they came back and I had sold $250,000 of contracts and they're like, okay, we're taking you to AE immediately. And I'm all of a sudden making 200 grand, you know, like Saturday, post any time in the day but post because it still cares about your streak of all your posts and Sunday, whatever. I'll just say that then I'll take a picture of myself and I'll post it right? And it'll get 70 likes. You, you know, and, and so just post, post, post, post, post. Then you, you have to think about what you're posting, right? If you post, if every time you post all you're doing is selling your product six weeks out of college, right. Doing awesome there. And so that, that's kind of been my experience my whole life. I'm really good at sales. But whether it's selling to, you know, the people are going to kind of start to tune you out and it's not going to be as.
Interesting. Yeah, my boss does.
That. That's all he.
Does. He doesn't get.
It. And it's not great. Anybody ever heard of Gary Vee? Post about whatever you want someday. I'll usually do something that's maybe a little bit more religious or, hey, it's my day of rest. Nice to have a day off director of enrollment at Harvard University or selling to, you know, some random person that opened the door to the seven year old. And I'm selling mistletoe. I've always been really, really. Whatever. I'll just say that then I'll take a picture of myself and I'll post it, right? And it'll get 70 likes, you know, and, and so just post, post, post, post, post. Then you, you have to think about what you're probably good at. One thing, and that is sitting on the other side of the desk with my customer. Right? You got to sit with your customer, everybody. Anybody ever read any of his books? Yeah. Awesome. James, do you ever read his jab, jab, jab, hook? Yeah. Do you remember what that is, what the concept.
Is? I believe if I remember, I read about, I try to read two books a week. That's been my goal for about 15.
Years. Yep. And what I mean by that is you have to consider that you are part of their team and their interest, their best interest is your best interest. You have.
To. I never hit my, I never hit my target, but I usually get somewhere in the neighborhood of about 85 books a.
Year. That's crazy. That's crazy. Find yourself. So much so that you have to be willing to walk away from.
The sale thing is about making sure that you understand the strategy so that when you do the first thing that it sets up, the second thing that it sets up, the third thing that you can.
Finish. You have to be willing to tell them, hey, my product is not going to work well for you. And here's roasting, right? If you post, if every time you post all you're doing is selling Your product, people are going to kind of start to tune you out and it's not going to be as.
Interesting. Yeah, my boss does that. That's all he does. He doesn't get.
It. And it's not great. Anybody ever heard of Gary Vee? Everybody. Anybody ever read any of his books? Yeah. Awesome. James. Why? Right? You understand them. You really, you know, and that goes through questions and trying to understand and trying to, you know, your language, your language naturally changes when you emerge. Yeah. And you're absolutely right, Right. They're all post. If you have imagined that you are part of their team, right? Hey, I'm sitting on your side of the desk. Here's what I want to do here, right? Real strategy other than just like, hey, post. You know, just post, right? Which I, I recommend. Here's what we need to do. Like you start to say, we, right? They feel if you're not posting, post step one, step two, start to think about the flow of things, right? But at a high level. What jab, jab, jab, hook means is give value, give value, give value, ask for a sale. Give value that and they're all of a sudden, you're part of the same team. It's not me versus you. It's not a competition. Is who's gonna, you know, hey, I made the sale. Yes, I want one. No, it's never, ever, ever that you give value, give value, ask for a sale. His. His recommendation is three to one. And maybe you want to do four. Have to be. This is consultative selling, guys, right? It's consultative selling 101. You got to sit on their side of the desk. Do you ever read his jab, jab, jab, hook. Yeah. Do you remember? And if you do that, you're going to win, right? So, Stephen, you could literally for one or eight to one or whatever you want to do, right? But so you'll see on a lot of. If you were just go through my LinkedIn, what that is, what the concept.
Is. I believe if I remember, I.
Read about, I tried, you'd see me say, hey, check out this new operator tool that ChatGPT has. And I'm recording my screen. I've got. I'm using loom to record my face so that I can be talking.
And be able to read two books a week. That's been my goal for about 15.
Years.
Yep. I never hit my. I never hit my target, but I usually get somewhere in the neighborhood.
Of your website for your biography thing. You could have, in the, in the hero section, you could have A little video. You see this a lot of times. The founder, you know, has a quick video in the hero section and what like hey, watch this. And I'm going to have it do this automatic thing and hey, check this out. It's pretty cool. And I make a four minute video. I post it. Watch your pitch. Hey, my grandma died a few years ago and she had so many amazing stories and we realized that nobody ever wrote them down. Nobody ever. Not asking for any sale. I'm not asking for anything. I'm just, just educating whoever watches the video about. Right. I'm just giving.
Value. That's the missing.
Middle. Yep, exactly. Expecting nothing in return.
Right. I'm just throwing about 85 books a.
Year. That's crazy. This is crazy. Recorded them and, and that was really tough, right? And so kind of right as that happened, we kind of realized we needed to do something in her funeral. And I started working on this idea and I'm so happy it's here. Now they're throwing it out there, throwing it out there. And then, and then, yeah, I'll be like.
Hey. Is about making sure that you understand the strategy so that when you do the first thing that it sets up, the second thing that it sets up the third thing that you can.
Finish. Because now I literally have these beautiful books for all of my grandparents and even my parents where we tell our lives. Yeah. And you're absolutely right. Right. They're all a good post in you have a stories and we can quickly and easily do it. And now here's the solution, here's what we do. This, this, this and this. Hey, you know, I'm going to do, I'm going to try a, you know, post, see if I can go viral in, you know, while I'm trying to sell something. Right. So I'll still think about the content, how's it, how it can go viral. I will use chat GPT to refine my message. I rarely, rarely use chat GPT to actually write my post. Now, you know, Your video is 40 seconds long, 45 seconds long. But you've connected with them. You're sitting on the same side of the desk as them. I understand you. I had that problem. Here's where I can now help, right? A lot of people use ChatGPT to post and you can see it, you can see it on LinkedIn. You can real strategy other than just like, hey, post. You know, just post. Right. Which I recommend. And your messaging throughout your entire site should feel like that. See it on Facebook. You can see the way once you once you've talked to ChatGPT enough, you're like, oh, I recognize ChatGPT's voice. Like it's there right now. There are things you can do to sanitize it. You can say, make this sound like a 13 year old. You know, you can, you can change it, right? Or make this sound like somebody who's really highly educated. If you're not posting, post step one, step two, start to think about the flow of things, right? But at a high level, what jab, jab, jab, hook means is give value, give value, give value, ask for a sale. Give value, right? It should feel like we understand you. If I land on a site and all the things they're saying in this thing or hey, make it sound less robotic, you can ask ChatGPT to do it. But still, I mean are like, I feel like that, I feel like that, I feel like that, I feel like that, right? Are you always tired? I think it's great. And for me personally, I am a writer, part of what I love to. Right. Do you get brain fog in the afternoon, right? I mean some of these sites ask obvious questions. Everyone gets brain fog in the afternoon. Do is right? And so it's kind of a. I don't know, I don't want to, I don't want to give that up. I don't want to give that piece up. I want to write. And so I will, I will actually think every day here is what I want to say today and I will write it out and I will type it out. You give value, give value, ask for a sale. His, his recommendation is three to one and maybe you want to do four. But hey, if so man, then maybe you're like us and you'll take this supplement and it'll be magical, right? That's how the best sites convert, right? That's how the best mark one or eight to one or whatever you want to do, right? But so you'll see on a lot of if you were just go through my LinkedIn getting converts is where they is where you focus on sitting on their side of the desk and relating to them as quickly as possible. Then you can say almost anything you want. Once they now occasionally I'll take what I write out and I'll just drop it in ChatGPT. I'll say, can I refine this? Can I improve them? You'd see me say, hey, check out this new operator tool that ChatGPT has and I'm recording messaging. I will also ask it this, which is super cool, is There anything I can do to my screen, I've got, I'm using loom to record my face so that I can be talking and being this to make it go more viral. Oh yeah. Hey, got a good hook here. But you know, you need just a little bit more here. Maybe a little list right here. And then make sure you put a good invitation and throw these view you as a peer or an equal. Then you can say almost anything you want. And they will, they will agree with you or at least they're more likely to agree with you. Right. Hashtags on. And I'm like, I like those. Right. And so it might refine me a little bit. But I would say now so there's obviously psychology in sales guys. But, but you can apply that 95% of the content that is on is on LinkedIn in terms of like the total text amount. That general approach to almost anything you're doing. Right. When I built Gen, it's all me, it's all me. And then I, you know, so I'll use it to help me. Now there are ways to totally automate. One place where I wouldn't mind AI writing for me is on my business LinkedIn page. Like, hey, watch this. And I'm going to have it do this automatic thing and hey, check this out. It's pretty cool. And I make a four minute video. I post it. I'm not asking for any sale, I'm not asking for anything. I'm just educating whoever watches or maybe my business Facebook page or my business whatever and I can have it pull. Right. I'm just giving.
Value. That's the missing.
Middle. Yep, exactly. Expecting nothing in return. Right. I'm just throwing from my knowledge base in my cool little platform and I can have it automatically send over to the API. My first, my first solution that I worked on, my marketing plan that I built in chat GPT said hey, let's build a, let's build a marketing funnel on Facebook. You're going to be trying to get, you know, it understood that it was. I was going to be trying to get customers at 10pm on Friday night. Like the only way you're going to get customers is on Facebook, right? Facebook into LinkedIn. Let's talk about that. Okay, let's talk about this. This workflow, I think it's pretty cool. We'll share screens.
Here. All.
Right. So would you also include your posting schedule or what you think is.
Best? Yeah, yeah, I. That changes regularly and there's a lot of great articles out there. I might recommend for you to just do a Google search on that or a chat GPT discussion on that, it'll take you five minutes to figure that out. But the one thing I do know is at least if you live in Utah, you're going to have to build an ad and drive people to a page and see who's up and who clicks on it, right? And so I was like, great, let's build for that, right? So I'll show you guys the whole process. I'll show you my Ads Manager account, all these things, all the AI stuff that I used to build that up and even the AI that's inside of Facebook's Ads Manager and all this stuff that happens now, but put it out there, throwing it out there, throwing it out there. And then, and then, yeah, I'll be like, hey, you know, I'm going to do, I'm going to try a, you know, a post, see if I can go viral in, you know, while I'm trying to sell something, right? So I'll still think about the content. How's it, how it can go viral. I will use ChatGPT 5am Monday through Friday. That is going to be your best bet. It's way better than 7:30. It's better than 9, it's better than 1, it's better than whatever. If you want to post again, if you want to post twice on LinkedIn in a day, don't post before one for your second post, okay? Actually post just before one. 12:14 to refine my message. I rarely 45, 6:45 and 12:45 are actually probably the best times that I will usually schedule my posts for. Okay? My biggest problem on LinkedIn is that I have more to say than I'm allowed. That didn't work. And the reason it didn't work is not because the Ads manager didn't allow it to say, right? If I post six times on LinkedIn, all of my post pushes get, get worse. Here's another thing. I'm going to say it while I remember it. LinkedIn is I actually drove 140 people to my site in one day, you know, from, from those ads. But it didn't work because I had a stripe configuration that was messed up. And so I don't actually know if anyone tried to purchase it. And that's my rarely use ChatGPT to actually write my post. Now a lot of people use ChatGPT to post and you can see it. You can see it on LinkedIn, you can see it on Facebook, you can See, the way once you, once you've talked to ChatGPT enough, you're like, oh, I recognize ChatGPT's voice. Like, it's there right now. There are things you can do to sanitize it. You can say, make this sound like other platforms in, in certain ways. X and LinkedIn are especially like this. You will get out of it. What you give. What that means is right? So. But I woke up Sunday morning, or, sorry, Monday morning, and I kind of found all that is maybe you're posting these, this awesome content. You know, you worked with Chat GPT, you made this perfect viral post, followed all of the principles, and you got like two likes on it. What the freak, man? Like, this is good stuff. Like, I, I built this dinosaur thing in Replit and, Or sorry, in Runway. And this should have gotten a lot of views. This is funny. This is cool, right? Or whatever, right? So maybe I'll post it. Maybe you'll see me post that and be like, yeah, I tried to. I tried like a 13 year old. You know, you can, you can change it, right? Or make this sound like somebody who's really highly edgy. Make a video. And, you know, I kind of.
Failed.
But. But really what you get it in this thing, or hey, make it sound less robotic. You can ask JGPD to do it, but still not stuff. I was like, okay, well, that didn't work. And then I was like, okay, let's see if I can optimize. And I fixed the problems. And I kind of spent Monday fixing the problems, like, okay, it works again. And then I was like. And it was like 8pm And I was like, I'm not going to turn the ad back on yet. I think I'm gonna do something else. And then Tuesday morning I woke up, I was like, okay, I'm a salesman. I know how to sell stuff to do, guys, is you got to comment on other people's posts, right? If you want people to. And I think I built something pretty cool. And I called up like five people, right? Actually, I think it's great. And for me, personally, I am a writer. Part of what I love to do is write. And so it's kind of a. I don't know, I don't see your content. You have to comment. Not just like, you have to comment on other people's posts. So I make it a goal to comment about 20 to 30 times a day on.
LinkedIn. A lot of time. John, I don't agree with you on that, but you've obviously been more.
Successful I would love to hear your thoughts.
Justin. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you're right for probably these types of business models we're talking.
About. I don't want to give that up. I don't want to give that piece up. I want to write. And so I will, I will. I messaged a couple people on LinkedIn that I kind of knew. Anybody know Johnny Hanna or ever met him or know who he is? Yeah, he's the CEO and founder of Homey and of Entrada. They're at point of the mountain. Right. And. And then he's now he's with.
A company called Funnel Thing, you know, getting a quick.
Sale. But then like he's not the founder anymore. He's just kind of breathing for a minute, not, not being the founder, which is actually think every day. Here is what I want to say today. And I will write it out.
And I will type it out for like nationwide lead generation. It's, it's likes, don't pay the bills, nail it, then scale it.
Approach. Now occasionally I'll take what I write out and I'll just drop it in chat GPT. I'll say, can I refine this? Can I improve.
Them? And I, and that, that, you know, when you're, when you're pushing over to a platform like Leads PD or.
Something. Good, good, good thing to do. He's made a lot of money and he's got like eight kids. He's, he's a busy guy. But messaging. I will also ask it this, which is super cool. Is there anything I can do to like.
That? It's all about just getting the margin right and then scaling.
It. But super cool guy. I'd met him a couple times. I was just a LinkedIn connection. I was like, hey, Johnny, I've got this cool, this, this AI thing. I want to train your employees to be 100% more efficient. And he's like, sounds really cool. Can I, you know, can we jump on a call? And so we jumped on a call. By the end of that call.
I had a $15,000 monitoring, you know, the paid social. So I've steered clear of organic social. And that's seems like a lot of time, but I guess it just depends on the business model and your personality is tied to this rather than.
Sort of a ubiquitous this to make it go more viral. Oh yeah. Hey, you got a good hook here. But you know, you need just a little bit more here, maybe a little list right here. And then make sure you put a good invitation and throw these Contract ready Rock. Right? And so I got it. I got it in my first.
Pitch and I was like, product or something.
Or. Yeah, if you look at the big influencers out there, the Gary Ves or the Grant Cardone or the Donald Trumps even, I mean, whatever, right? Posting regularly obviously, is part of that thing, but that was pretty easy. And so I tried a couple more and got a hold of just random business owners and I got a few more. We got a $10,000 contract, an $8,000 contract, and a $12,000 no contract. I got a few different ones and. And I learned this was really interesting. This is where, you know, the rubber meets the road. I learned the hashtags on, and I'm like, I like those, right? And so it might refine me a little bit, but I would say responding and commenting is huge. You know, Gary Vee says you got to put in your 95% of the content that is on. Is on LinkedIn in terms of like, the total text amount that while, yes, the ChatGPT plan to go after, you know, people late at night on Facebook might be good, which I don't. I actually haven't turned that ad back on, so I actually don't know if it works. I. I need to. It's just one of the things that I need to make sure I realign the funnel and then, and then, and then turn it back on. But I learned very quickly that my offering resonated. What is it, your 80 or your 90.
Cents?
Whatever. It's your 80 cents, right? No, $80. It's your $80, right? He says you need to, you need to comment on 10. It's something like 10 times, 3 times 2 or something like. Anyway, it's. It's some. It's all me. It's all me. And then I, you know, so I'll use it to help me. Now, there are ways to totally automate. One place where I wouldn't mind AI writing for me is on my business LinkedIn page. Crazy amount. I'm sure you're right where you have to go and do that. Now it takes me to comment on that many posts. I'll take five minutes in the morning when I wake up with business owners big time, because they're just like, wait, hold on. I have 20 employees and you can make it. You can make us work like, we have 40 employees with. And I'll comment on like five or six things or seven things, right? I'll just scroll and be like, oh, that's relevant. And I'll comment On it. Obviously, if you can comment on things that are relevant to your existing industry. Yeah, yeah. Without increasing my head count. Or I can fire seven people and still get the same amount done. Okay. Yeah, I wanna. I wanna know what that is. Right. Please come in and teach us. Please come in and teach me. Right. Or maybe my business Facebook page or my business, whatever. And I can have it pull from my knowledge base in my cool little platform and I can have it automatically send over to. That's even better. But I'll even comment on just like, you know, Forbes something. Or, you know, I'll look at the news and I'll be. Oh, that's interesting. And I'll go and I'll make a comment there and. And then, you know, at the middle of the day, Facebook into LinkedIn. Let's talk about that. Okay, let's talk about this time. I might do a few more. So it takes me anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to accomplish what I'm talking about. And I've had many of those people come and actually take this course, and then they have me go and teach their teacher out in very small spurts. So I'm not for an hour or two doing crazy employees as well. And that's awesome. If any of you guys want to do that, let's do it. But. But the reality is, guys, you just have to. You just have to get going. You just have to try things with sales and marketing to get to your first dollar. You just have to ask for the sale. Okay. Stuff. It's very natural. And I will tell you, I do not do 30 comments a day. I do this workflow. I think it's pretty cool. We'll share screens.
Here. All right, so would you also include your posting schedule or what you think is.
Best? 5 comments one day and 40 comments another day. Like, I'm kind of more haphazard. Right? But I definitely, definitely see guys, when you comment on something, when you comment on someone's post, like if you have someone new comment on your post, like a thoughtful comment, not just like, cool. Right. It's got to be actually like add value to the conversation. Right? But if you do that, they're going to. All right, I have a question. How many of you guys would be nervous or feel weird about putting your business in. Yeah, yeah, I. That changes regularly as social post on Facebook. Like just telling your family and friends, like, hey, this is what I'm. This is what I'm working on. And you know, if you're interested, you know, reach out to me. But Any of you guys feel weird about? There's a lot of great articles out there. I might recommend for you to just do a visit. Your profile, what does that do? It makes your profile, you know, bump up a little higher in terms of the algorithms. It makes your content bump up a little higher in the algorithms. Right? So do things that will actually make people engage with you. Actually network Google search on that or a chat GPT discussion on that. It'll take you five minutes to figure that out. But actually provide value.
Right?
Okay. So anyway, it can't just be like, the one thing I do know is at least if you live in Utah, 6:45, saying that that's good. This is the first group. It's the first group where everybody said, no. Usually I get a good mixed bag. Some people are like, yeah, I don't want to do that. It's not my brand. Right? And it's funny. I'll ask him some funny questions. Someone will be like, well, yeah, it's not really my brand to talk about my business. And I was like, it's on. It's not on your brand for people to know how you make money or that you make 5am Monday through Friday. That is going to be your best bet. It's way better than this is cool. That kind of comment will not get you your result. It's got to be like, hey, you know what? I think Trump's crazy and the tariffs are kind of nuts, but, you know, we got to change something. So I know it's a fun show. Whatever. I mean, that would be more of a thoughtful comment instead of just like, yeah, this is, you know, you know, tariffs suck. You know, so anyway, 7:30. It's better than 9. It's better than 1. It's better than whatever. If you want to post.
Again. Good brand building is what you're.
Saying. Yeah, money. Or that you have money. Like someone said, well, I don't want my family to know that I have money. Personal brand building, guys, goes with you your whole life. It travels with you from job to job. And if you want to post twice on LinkedIn in a day, don't post before one. From startup to startup, from whatever it is. Right? And so build your brand. It's the only.
Thing. Okay, Anyway, so that's the worst thing that could.
Happen. A lot of people have this weird thing about, like, I don't want to post about it, I want to talk about it. But here's the thing. Guess how much money I have spent advertising for this course for your second post. Okay, actually post just before 1, 1245, 645 and 1245 are actually probably the best times that I will usually schedule my post. Gen AIPI how to Build a Business in three.
Days.
None.
Zero. Yeah, it's zero. It is absolutely zero. And I, you guys, that's guaranteed to last, right? Do that, make it whatever you want. My brand. You're welcome to go poke around on my, on my LinkedIn and look at it. But like, I'm an entrepreneur, but adventure and kayaking just means so much to me. And so I put it front and center there on, you know, I'm, I mean this is an outdoor picture and this is me kayaking off of a waterfall. These are about. I think I'm up to, I think I'm up to 80 students that have taken, that have paid for the course. I've done it. I've done some like, you know, student things where I teach like 30 or 40 students in like a two hour, right? Like, so when people come to my profile and they talk to me like they know what's going on, right? And I say, I'm a creator, adventure entrepreneur, musician, right? Some people, some people do, I mean, quick session, things like that. But, but in terms of like actually, you know, 9, 10, 11, 12 hours, you know, sitting down at a course and doing this, I sold 80 of those. I've made $80,000 for them. Okay. My biggest problem on LinkedIn is that I have more to say than I'm allowed to say, right? If I post six times on LinkedIn, all of my post pushes get, get worse. Here's another thing. I'm going to say it while I remember it. LinkedIn is get all the stuff I have just. I had no comments or messages before we started this class, right? And like messages, notifications. Now I've got all kinds of new people coming to me today because I'm giving and when I give, I receive. That's just, it's just how it works, right? So spruce up your profile. Do whatever it takes, you know, or whatever, whatever you think you want to do now if you want to. So that then you know, you've got, you've got this. Let's go just by posting on social media and I posted on Facebook, Instagram X. Even though I haven't gotten any results. I don't have a great ex following. I don't. But LinkedIn's big, right? LinkedIn's huge. But I would say, I would say 75% have come from to, let's see here where are my. Where are my pages? Here's my General Artificial Intelligence Proficiency institute. I went 25 followers. I haven't actively tried to build LinkedIn and 25% from Facebook right now. If you go follow me on Facebook or LinkedIn or whatever this. I literally haven't posted yet on it. Okay. But it's here. And let's say I wanted to automate this and I wanted to start posting here and I wanted to post 12 times. You'll see that I post about all kinds of things. I just don't really care what other people think about me. I just want to share the things that I like. I post about my religious beliefs. I post about my music that I write, which is a big part of me. Right. I've got. I've got three pianos in this.
Room. That's cool, man. That's super.
Cool. I'm a musician and so I post about that a lot. Right. I'll post times a day. How would I do that without swimming like crazy? Can anybody think I want you guys about my kayaking? I'm a big time whitewater kayaker. I just go to Texas. Said bridal veil is on. Provost on. So that's the most exciting time of the year. This is better than Christmas. I'm super excited to go up to the river and I might do it tonight after we're done here. Yeah, there's got all the skills you.
Have. There's post planners that you can set up and schedule out and pre do it. And so you could probably tie that into GPT, write me 12 posts and then you parse them out.
Through. I'm gonna do it tonight. I just made that decision. So anyway, kayaking's awesome because like other platforms in. In certain ways, X and LinkedIn are especially like this. You will get out of it. What you give. What that means is maybe you're posting these. This awesome content. You know, you worked with chat GPT. You made this perfect viral post, followed all of the principles and you got like 2 likes on.
It. Apply it into. I forget what the name of some of them.
Are. Very good. It's his tweet deck.
Yeah. Thank you.
Hoot. Sweet freak, man. Like, this is good stuff. Like I. I built this dinosaur thing in Replit and I like Buffer. There's a lot of different ones out there, but Buffer. Yeah, here's Buffer right here. I've got it open actually. I need to. I need to reconnect it because I. Yeah. So I. But I post about everything that I do. And so because I Kind of been post Arian Runway and this should have gotten a lot of views. This is funny. This is cool, right? Or whatever, right? So maybe I'll post it. Maybe you'll see me post that and be like, yeah, I tried to, I tried to steam for a long time. I've been posting for years and I post religiously every day and I do it. I haven't been using this specific profile, but, but here you go. You can have, you can connect a bunch of different profiles to buffer, right? Your Twitter and your LinkedIn and your Facebook, Instagram, all these different things. Even your blue sky, if that's how you roll. So there's a lot of different things you can, you can connect to and you just, you know, you click new post and you know, use the AI assistant if you want, right? Talk about AI, right? AI tech.
Sure. I don't.
Know. So now it's going to come up with something and I'm sure it's connected into AI. I don't know what AI is behind this, but. Okay, insert now. I've got my post. This is for a few reasons. One, Facebook and LinkedIn and all these different platforms reward you for being a regular creator, right? Doesn't even matter the quality to make a video. And you know, I kind of failed. But, but really what you have to do, guys, is you got to comment on other people's posts, right? If you want people to post, if it gets one, like, whatever, right? Sometimes it gets 10,000 likes, right? I've got, I showed you guys, you know, my, my, you know, mud pipe, my poop pipe thing, you know, that has 150 million views, right? Over on. To see your content, you have to comment not just like you have to comment on other people's posts. So I make it a goal to comment about 20 to 30 times a day on the terrible post. It's so long. Anything good? So don't do this, right? But just for, you know, quick, whatever. Right now I want to drag, drag and drop a file. I want to drag this one on here. And this is going to be my post and my picture. And now it's going to upload. Wait for it. But now I'm ready to post something. Assuming this was actually good content, I'm ready to add, to queue TikTok in different places. It's, you know, it's all over the place. It's on my Instagram, it's on my Facebook and viral thread picked it up. Viral hog picked it up. All these different things picked it up. And so they have tens of millions of views on each of those. So anyway, I'm just not afraid to post anything. And I do post regularly. If you want to use LinkedIn as a tool to sell, even just organic, not even, you know, my Twitter and my LinkedIn and my Instagram and my Facebook and my Pinterest and whatever it is I have here and it's ready to go out. So now we need to automate this, right, Instead of having LinkedIn a lot of.
Time. John, I don't agree with you on that, but you've obviously been more successful.
Actually. Come in, write content, do this. This allows me to automate that posting. And Buffer is a great one. That is not going to get you banned from LinkedIn because some of them are not great and LinkedIn will. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Justin. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you're right for probably these types of business models.
We'Re talking about, you know, different profiles will say, hey, we've sensed automation on your profile and we don't like that. Okay. They really like real, real engagement. So we'll discard these.
Changes. So thing, you know, getting a.
Quick sale, but being like, or Facebook, you just got to start posting, post about something you're grateful for every day. I did that last year. I did it from January 1st to December 31st. And it was really hard. It was hard even on the really tough days where I'm like, man, I am kind of just upset at the world right now and I don't have anything to be grateful for. It was really good just, you know, as a person, right, to go through that exercise. But just for my New Year's resolution, I just had this thought like, hey, post on Facebook, post on LinkedIn. Today I'm going to post one thing every single day that I'm grateful for. And so every day, even if it was 11:00pm, I'd be like, okay, I gotta write something, I'm tired, whatever, but I'm gonna post something. And I got easily 10,000 followers. Let's see if Buffer has an API that we can look into. So we'll just look for Buffer API and click on this link. Now. It says Here, as of October 14, 2019, Buffer no longer supports registration of new developers. Well, that sucks. So we can't use this anymore. But I did some cool research and I found out that Zapier is.
One of the ones for like, nationwide lead generation. It's. It's a likes, don't pay the bills, nail it, then scale it approach like, and I and that, that you know, when you're, when you're pushing over to a platform like Leadspedia or something ones that.
Works. Anybody ever use.
Zapier? Yeah, I use it quite a.
Bit. Zapier is amazing. Right, so build, look up, buffer and then build something throughout the year just from those posts. Right? But I post every single day and I usually post two or three times a day on average. I post probably 30 times a day on or sorry, 30 times a week on Facebook and on LinkedIn I post probably 10 to 12 times a week. Right. You don't on Facebook you can post more X, you can post 20.
Times a day like that. It's all about just getting the margin right and then scaling it in.
Your app, in your, you know, if in for me Gen A IPI and I could have it reference all of my lesson content, all of my blogs, all of my whatever. Right. And I could say hey, I want you to build content once a day and you're fine. It's not gonna, it's not gonna hurt your algorithm. In fact, you'll make more money and you'll get more people following. I want you to create 12 pieces of content. I want an image if you do that and I don't post enough. And we're going to talk about some social media automation here in a second. And then LinkedIn, you want to post at 6:45am Monday through Friday. If you do that, you're gonna.
Win on monitoring, you know, the paid social. So I've steered clear of organic social and that seems like a lot of time, but I guess it just depends on the business model and your personality is tied to this rather than sort of a ubiquitous.
Saturday. Post any time in the day but post because it still cares about your streak of all your posts and Sunday engine. So I'd maybe tie in a mid journey API or something like that or even just use another OpenAI API key so I can generate images, I have it then upload in a specific format. I figure out how, you know, what is the Google Drive and buffer, you know, automation. What does this do? What is it? I'm going to look at it, I'm going to see what it needs and then I'm going to figure out okay, great. So now I'm going to tell post about whatever you want. Someday I'll usually do something that's maybe a little bit more religious or hey, it's my day of rest, nice to have a day off, whatever. I'll just say that then I'll take A picture of myself and I'll post it, right. And it'll get 70 likes, you know, and, and so just post, post.
Post, post, post product or something.
Or. Yeah, if you look at the big influencers out, I'll replicate once a day. I need you to run a little, a little job. I want you to create 12 pieces of content and 12 images to go along with it. I want you to send it over to Google Drive like this and you could set up an API between your app and Google Drive, right. And now you're right, they're the Gary Vee's or the Grant Cardones or the Donald Trumps even. I mean whatever. Then you, you have to think about what you're posting, right. If you post, if every time you post all you're doing is selling your product, right. Posting regularly obviously is part of that thing. But responding and commenting is huge. You know, Gary Vee says you got to put in your people are going to kind of start to tune you out and it's not going to be as.
Interesting. Yeah, my boss does.
That. That's all he.
Does. He doesn't get.
It. And it's not great. Anybody ever heard of Gary Vee? Oh and right. And then you set up buffer to, you know, post you know, once every, you know, 71 minutes or whatever you want to do. And you have automated posting to all of your social. So I think this is super useful for businesses, right, which is where we're trying to build business with AI, right? That's what we're doing. I personally, this is just me. I per. What is it your 80 or your 90 cents? Whatever, it's your 80 cents, right? No. $80 everybody. Anybody ever read any of his books? Yeah. Awesome. James, do you ever read his jab, jab, jab, hook? Yeah. Do you remember personally like to keep control over my, my, my, my personal brand. I don't want AI just going off and saying stuff, right? What that is, what the concept.
Is. I believe, if I remember, I read about, I try to read two books a week. That's been my goal for about 15.
Years.
Yep. $80, right. He says you need to, you need to comment on. Because it might not sound like me. I quite frankly don't want people to think that I'm using AI to do this. Even though it would kind of be on brand for me, you know, But I, I just don't want it. I, I like being, I never.
Hit my, I never hit my target, but I usually get somewhere in the neighborhood of about 85 books. A.
Year. That's crazy. This is crazy. Being real. I like being, you know, whatever. So I like mixing it up. Any questions about like, does anybody here feel like they couldn't do what I just described? 10. It's something like 10 times 3 times 2 or something like that. Anyway, it's, it's some crazy amount. I'm sure you're right where you have to go and do that. Now it takes me to. It'll take you a minute. It might take you four hours to set it up, to figure it out, a little bit of checking. But the reality is if you have Zapier, which has 10,000 different integrations.
Thing is about making sure that you understand the strategy so that when you do the first thing that it sets up, the second thing that it sets up, the third thing that you can.
Finish. You can automate anything and then you can just talk to replit, Talk to chat GPT to ask you how to set up the APIs and push data from one spot to another. That's all it is. You're just moving things through APIs and talking to endpoints and building these nice surfing systems. Okay, comment on that many posts. I'll take five minutes in the morning when I wake up very quick. Yeah, and you're absolutely right. Right. They're all post. If you have a real strategy other than just like, hey, post, you know, just post. Right. Which I, I recommend. If you're not posting, post step one, Step two, start to think about the flow of things. Cool. Pretty neat. Pretty neat. At some point I will do this. I will set this up for my gen API. You'll start to see tons of content coming and you'll be like, right. But at a high level, what jab, jab, jab, hook means is then I'll comment on like five or six things or seven things, right? I'll just scroll and be like, oh, that's relevant. And I'll comment. I know how John's doing this, right? Because I'm not going to do it. I don't have time. It is so much work. My wife and her, our neighbor. Just right down here. Anton, obviously, if you can comment on things that are relevant to your existing industry. Yeah, yeah, that'll, that's even better. But I'll even comment on just like, you know, Forbes something or, you know, I'll look at the news and be like, give value, give value, give value, ask for a sale. Give value, give value, give value, ask for a sale. His, his recommendation is three to one. And maybe you want to do four. My wife's an amazing guard gardener and she's got, you know, her Zena's floral for one or eight to one or whatever you want to do, right. But so you'll see on a lot of. If you were just go through my LinkedIn.com, right. And they wanted to create a new kind of thing that's you know, does floral stuff and you know, she built this big, you know, beautiful site and this was all done with Shopify. You know, I helped her put it together. There's my, my pretty wife and her amazing, you know, arches and things that she does. So lots of cool stuff that's interesting and I'll go and I'll make a comment there and, and then, you know, at the middle of the day and they wanted to create this new thing called CC Farms and one of their, you'd see me say, hey, check out this new operator tool that ChatGPT has. And I'm recording my screen. I've got, I'm using loom to record my face so that I can be talking and being like, hey, watch this. And I'm going to have it do this automatic thing and hey, check this out. It's pretty cool. And I make a four minute video. I post it. I made their primary strategy for obtaining new customers they said was I we're gonna, we're gonna post a social every day. I was like, okay, that's cool. Who's gonna do it? Lunchtime? I might do a few more. So it takes me anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to accomplish what I'm talking about in very, okay, small spurts. So I'm not sitting there for an hour or two doing crazy. I'm not asking for any sale, I'm not asking for anything. I'm just educating whoever watches, right? Where are you gonna get content? Who's gonna ride it? How are you gonna make that happen? What, what platforms are going to post to over stuff? It's very natural. And I will tell you, I do not do 30 comments a day. I do Facebook and Instagram and maybe a little bit of LinkedIn and maybe some Pinterest. I was like, okay, well that's probably a solid 60 minutes a day from one of you and you are going to last for like, I don't know, two weeks and it's going to fade away and then you're going to have no content anymore. 5 comments 1 day and 40 comments another day. Like I'm kind of more haphazard right about right. I'm just giving value that's the messy middle. Yep, exactly. Expecting nothing in return, right? I'm just throwing it out there, throwing it out there, throwing it out there. And then, and then, yeah, I'll, I'll be like, hey, you know, I'm going to do, I'm going to try a, you know, a post, see if I can go viral in, you know, while I'm trying to. Exactly like that is.
Exactly. They've gone through so many girls that I live near Ole Miss, right? They're like, you're going to be our new post. And it's like two.
Months. But I definitely, definitely see guys, when you comment on something, when you comment on someone's post, like if you have someone new, comment on your post, like a thoughtful comment, not just sell something, right? So I'll still think about the content. How's it, how it can go viral. I will use Chat GPT to refine my message. I rarely. No, it's crazy. It's crazy. Like, hey, we're doing. It's just so much work, guys. It's a lot of brain power to create. Creating is.
Hard.
Yeah, you gotta, you gotta figure out how to not swim. Rarely use chatgpt to actually write my post. Now a lot of people use ChatGPT to post and you can see it, you can see it on LinkedIn. You can. That is swimming when you are having to post and come up with new posts every single day. So if you can automate it, right? For your business, for your business, I think it's totally fine to be able to pull on brand messaging. You can always jump in and edit things and add your own stuff and whatever and you can always turn it on. Cool, right? It's gotta be actually like add value to the conversation, right? But if you do that, they're going to see it on Facebook. You can see the way once you, once you've Talked to chat GPT enough, you're like, oh, I recognize ChatGPT's voice. Like it's there right now. There are things you can do to sanitize it. You can say, make this sound off if you don't like how it's working, right? But, but the reality is, guys, if you can automate that, you can, you can be ahead of so many businesses that are not willing or able to consistently post every single, like a 13 year old, you know, you can, you can change it, right? Or make this sound like somebody who's really highly educated in this thing. Or hey, make it sound less robotic. You can ask ChatGPT to do it. But still day. It is hard. It is hard. Or multiple times per day. So Gary Vee just wrote a new book. I highly Recommend it. It's 20 bucks. Visit your profile. What does that do? It makes your profile, you know, bump up a little higher in terms of the algorithms. It makes your content bump up a little higher in the algorithms. Right. So do things that will actually make people engage with you. Actually network. Buy it on Amazon, buy it on Audible, listen to it, whatever day trading. Attention if you want, if you want attention, guys, listen to this. I think it's great. And for me personally, I am a writer. Part of what I love to do is write. And so it's kind of a. I don't know, I don't want to. I don't want to give that up. I don't want to give that piece up. I want to write. And so I will, I will actually think every day here is what I want to say today. And I will write it out and I will type it out. Actually provide value.
Right?
Okay. So anyway, it can't just be like, do this. It's all about social. It's all about social. One of the sections that I love, the chapters. This is cool. That kind of comment will not get you your result. It's got to be like, hey, you know what I think that I love is at the very end, it's this very last. He's taught you all these amazing principles and all this stuff, right? And then he goes through and he says, or he goes through. Trump's crazy and the tariffs are kind of nuts, but you know, we gotta change something. So I like probably 25 different real life scenarios. No, it's a fun show, whatever. I mean, that would be more of a thoughtful comment instead of just like, yeah, now occasionally I'll take what I write out and I'll just drop it in ChatGPT. I'll say, can I refine this? Can I improve the messaging? I will also ask it this, which is super cool. Is there anything I can do to this to make it go more viral? Oh, yeah. Hey, got a good hook here for. Yeah, it's 40 pages worth. 40 pages of real life scenarios of like, what if you had a business here? But you know, you need just a little bit more here, Maybe a little list right here. And then make sure you put a good invitation and throw these that did this. What if you're a B2B business? What if you're an advertising agency or what if you're, you know, an ice cream shop here and what if you're doing this and you're trying to target this type of person here? Right. How would you do that? What would be your strategy? It's so good. This is, you know, tariffs suck. You know, um, so anyway, good.
Brand building is what you're.
Saying. Yeah. Hashtags on. And I'm like, I like those. Right. And so it might refine me a little bit, but I would say 95% of the content that is on is on LinkedIn in terms of like the total text amount. It's all me. It's all me. And then I, you know, so I'll use it to help me now. There are ways to totally automate. It is so good. It's one of the best. It might be the best marketing book I've ever read. One place where I wouldn't mind AI writing for me is on my business LinkedIn page in terms of like practical applications for April 25, 2025, like it is very relevant. It just came out a few months ago, so highly recommend that one. But, but the bottom line is guys, you've got organic, you've got this personal brand building guys goes with you your whole life. It travels with you from job to job, from startup to startup, from whatever it is. Right. And so build your brand is the only thing. You've got this amazing free resource to do. Okay. To use. All right, let's jump into my ads manager account and I'm going to show you kind of how I did all this stuff. I think it's pretty, pretty fun to go through and look at it all. Let's see here. That's guaranteed to last, right? Do that. Make it whatever you want. My branch or maybe my business Facebook page or my business, whatever. And I can have it pull from my knowledge base in my cool little platform and I can have it automatically send over to Facebook into LinkedIn. Let's talk about that. Okay, let's talk about this. This workflow. I think it's pretty cool. We'll share screens here. All right, so grand. You're welcome to go poke around on my, on my LinkedIn and look at it. But like I'm an build the business egg coding distances, social media posts. This might be it. Yeah, this is it. This is it. So I needed to. This was during my little three day sprint, one of the conversations I started having as rep. What's working and building entrepreneur. But adventure and kayaking just means so much to me and so I put it front and center there. Right. Is okay. Hey, I need some Social media stuff. Okay. And my idea was on, you know, I'm. I mean, this is an outdoor picture and this is me kayaking off of a waterfall. I'm going to run these ads and people are going to land on it. And my Michael, right. Like, so when people come to my profile, they talk to me like they know what's going on. Kind of idea that I really developed at this moment was I had this concept of kind of following the model of how IQ test sites work. Right. And if you've ever taken an IQ test.
Online, would you also include your posting schedule or what you think is.
Best? Yeah, yeah. That changes regularly. And there's a lot of great articles out there. I might recommend for you to just do a Google search on that or a ChatGPT discussion on that. It'll take you five minutes to, to figure that out. But. Right. And I say, I'm a creator, adventure entrepreneur, musician. Right? Some people, some people do. I mean, look at all the stuff I have. Just, I had no comments or messages before we started this class. Right. It's super annoying because it'll show you the test and all the questions. You'll get through the 20 questions and it'll be like, hey, enter your email and pay $5 to see your.
Score.
Right? And you're just like, come on, man. And you just spent like 15 minutes like thinking really hard trying to get all these right. Cause you want to be a 180 IQ and whatever. And so. And like, messages, notifications, network. I've got all kinds of new people coming to me. The one thing I do know is at least if you live in Utah, 6:45 today. Because I'm giving, and when I give, I receive. That's just, it's just how it works. I was like, I'm going to follow that, but I'm not going to ask them to pay, but I am going to ask them to enter their email. So my funnel was basically land on the site, take the free Mastery Predictor quiz, go through 12 questions, and it was just long enough that they actually put in some effort. If you just did three questions, they're not going to care. But if 12 questions is enough, okay, I want to know what my score is. So spruce up your profile, do whatever it takes or whatever. Then they would enter their email address and then it would immediately pop up and show them their score. Now, if you want to, so that then you know, you've got, you've got this. Let's go. And then it would give them some options to either improve their score by taking some courses or hey, get an official to. Let's see here. Where are my. Where are my pages? Here's my general certificate here for $39. And you know, you can add this to your resume or show it to your boss and get a raise right here. That was kind of my funnel. And so I needed to land them on my site with the idea that they were going to try to figure out what their AIQ was or whether or not not they were ready for the future with AI. And so I basically said, hey, here are 10 social media posts, compelling messages, corresponding image concepts for Gen AI API. Great. So it starts just making all these. And they're pretty good, right? They're pretty decent actually. General Artificial Intelligence Proficiency institute. I went 25 followers. I haven't actively tried to build Air Revolution here. Are you ready? This is great. Okay, that's awesome. Let's put it here. AI is not replacing you. People who use AI are, right. AI won't take your job. It's someone who understands AI better than you will this. I literally haven't posted yet on it. Okay. But it's here. And let's say I wanted to automate this and I wanted to start posting here and I wanted to post 12 times a day. How would I do that with like they were really like all on brand. Like I loved them. I thought this is great. Okay, so we go through, I have it make some images. I didn't like any of these images. I thought they were just kind of too out. 5am Monday through Friday. That is going to be your best bet. It's way better than 7:30. It's better than 9, it's better than 1. It's better than whatever. If you want to post again, if you want to post twice on LinkedIn in a day, don't post before one for your second post. Okay? Actually post just before one. 1245, 645 and 1245 are actually probably the best times that I will usually schedule my posts for. Okay. My biggest problem on LinkedIn is that I have more to say than I'm allowed to say, right? If I post six times on LinkedIn, all of my post pushes get, get worse. Here's another thing. I'm going to say it while I remember it. LinkedIn is like other platforms in certain ways. X and LinkedIn are especially like this. You will get out of it what you give, what that means there. And so that's fine. Also, there were no girls, if you noticed. There's all dudes or fake people, you know, whatever. So I said, hey, we need some girls in there. When you want AI to feel accessible to everybody, maybe you're posting this awesome content. You know, you worked with ChatGPT. You made this perfect viral post, followed all of the principles, and you got like two likes on it. So now it gives me 10 girl pictures. And by the way, I don't like any of these either. I think they're all bad, right? I wanted to feel more like, okay, this isn't gonna work, right? So I was like, man, forget this. So I went over to mid journey freak, man. Like, this is good stuff. Like I. I built this dinosaur thing in repl it and are out swimming like crazy. Can anybody think I want you guys? Yeah, there's got all the skills you.
Have. There's post planners that you can set up and schedule out and pre do it. And so you could probably tie that into GPT. Write me 12 posts and then.
You parse them out and did some other things. And I'll show you what I did in a second. And. And I went to.
Canvas.
Right? Or not. Sorry. In Runway. And this should have gotten a lot of views. This is funny. This is cool, right? Or whatever, right? So maybe I'll post it. Maybe you'll see me post that and be like, yeah, I tried to. I tried to make a video and, you know, I kind of.
Failed.
But. But really what you want to play it into? I forget what the name of some of them.
Are. Campus Canva. Canva. Canva is awesome, right? We'll. We'll show you how I did some of this stuff. Then I said, okay, let's also create a social post will be several powerful slides. Right? So carousel, right? I wanted to. Carousel. Have to do guys, is you got to comment on other people's posts, right? If you want people to post for Instagram. LinkedIn. And so here are the slides. Here's what they'll be. There's kind of the main idea to see your content. You have to comment. Not just like you have to comment comment on other people's posts. So I make it a goal to comment about 20 to 30 times a day on.
LinkedIn. A lot of time, John, I. I don't agree with you on that, but you've obviously been more.
Successful. It's great. And then I said, okay, hey, please create five options for powerful and clickbaity but still professional ad for someone to take the AI Mastery Predictor IQ test. So I told them what I wanted to do. I would love to hear Your thoughts.
Justin? Yeah, yeah, I, I'm sure you're right for probably these types of business models we're talking.
About. This is what I want them to do when they see it and read it. Right. So what's your aiq? Here's some stuff, you know, thing.
You know, getting a quick sale, but in like super, like nationwide lead generation.
It'S. So I've got all this content now, right. So now I got to put it to work. Right. I had to make a few.
Adjustments. It's a likes, don't pay the bills, nail it, then scale it.
Approach. And now we've got a bunch of ads. Okay, very cool. So that took me maybe 20 minutes, right. Going back and forth, playing around with this stuff and thinking through it. I was reading it and kind of considering and.
I. And that, that, you know, when you're, when you're pushing over to a platform like Leadspedia or something like that, it's all about just getting the margin right and then scaling it and monitoring, you know, the paid social. So I've steered clear of.
Organic. Yeah, that's pretty good. So then I come over to canvas Canva. Sorry, guys, I keep messing that up thing. Canva is awesome. Okay. It has so much cool content. It has all these, these different profiles if you, if, you know, if.
You social and that seems like a lot of time, but I guess it just depends on the business model and your personality is tied to this rather than sort of a.
Ubiquitous. On LinkedIn, the other day I posted something with this exact template. Not, not too many product or something or. Yeah, if you look at the big influencers out there, the Gary Vees or the Grant Cardones or the Donald Trumps even. I mean, whatever. Very good. It's his tweet.
Deck.
Yeah. Thank you. I like Buffer. There's a lot of different ones out there, but Buffer. Yeah, here's Buffer right here. I've got it open, actually. I need to, I need to reconnect it because I, Yeah, I haven't been using this specific profile, but, but here you go. You can have, you can connect a bunch of different profiles to Buffer. Right? Your Twitter and your LinkedIn and your Facebook, Instagram, all these different things. Even your blue sky, if that's how you roll. So there's a lot of different things you can, you can connect to and you just, you know, you click new post days ago and. Yeah. Then now booking, post date retreats. Right. Obviously. Right. Posting regularly, obviously, as part of that thing. But responding and commenting is huge. You know, Gary Vee says you got to put in your. And you know, use the AI assistant if you want. Right. Talk about AI. Right. Doing this in the last class. Right. But to create new content in Canva, guys. And we don't need to do a Canva thing here. But it's so easy. You just click create and you can just say, hey, I want a Facebook ad. And it'll come up with all these different formats that you can click and then you could say like, hey, you know what? I want a Facebook feed ad. Great. 1080 by 1080 or what is it your 80 or your 90 cents? What? It's your 80 cents, right? No, $82 80. Right. He says you need to, you need to comment on and then it shows you your little canvas here and then you've got all these different options. AI tech.
Sure. I don't.
Know. So now it's going to come up with something and I'm going to choose from. Right. And there's so many options. You can also search. You can have AI come up with some. But you might say, hey, look, I want to do an online course. This is perfect. Great. Someone else has already thought through this and so hey, Gen ipi, this is great. And here's my really great site. And I don't need a phone. 10 it's something like 10 times 3 times 2 or something like that. Anyway, it's some crazy amount. I'm sure you're right where you have to go and do that. Now it takes me to. Sure, it's connected into AI. I don't know what AI is behind this, but okay, insert now I've got my post. This is a terrible post. It's so long. Anything good? So don't do this right. But just for, you know, quick whatever. Right now I want to drag, drag and drop a file. I want to drag this one on here number. I'm just going to say whoops. HTTPs gen aipi.org or comment on that many posts. I'll take 5 minutes in the morning when I wake up and I'll comment on like five or six things or seven things. Right. I'll just scroll and be like, oh, that's relevant and I'll comment on it. Obviously if you can comment on things that are relevant to your existence, existing industry. Yeah, yeah, maybe I want, you know, all caps with this aipi and so I can very quickly knock out an ad if I want to make that happen. Right. How to build a business that's even better. But I'll even comment on just like, you know, forward or something or, you know, I'll look at the news and I'll be in three days. Here's the things you're going to learn here. You know, Monday through Wednesday, 9:12pm or not yet. And this is going to be my post and my picture and now it's going to upload. Upload, wait for it. That's interesting. And I'll go and I'll make a comment there and, and then, you know, at the middle of the day, lunchtime, I might do a few more. So it takes me anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to accomplish what I'm talking about in very natural spurts. So I'm not sitting there for an hour or two doing crazy stuff. It's very natural. And I will tell you, I do not do 30 comments a day. I, I do five comments one day and 40 comments another day. Like I'm kind of more haphazard, right? But now I'm ready to post something. Assuming this was actually good content, I'm ready to add to queue, you know, my Twitter and my LinkedIn and my Instagram and my Facebook and my Pinterest and whatever it is. I have 9am to 12pm and and I'm done. I've created that, right? So if you go back into here, let's go to my home, sorry, my projects, right? You can go back and you can see a lot of the different things I made, right? So I made this one right here, right? This is a little video template in Canva, right? I just took some of the content, but I definitely, definitely see guys when you comment on something, when you comment on someone's post, like if you have someone new comment on your post, like a thoughtful comment, not just like cool, right? It's got to be actually like add value to the conversation, right? But if you do that, they're going to have here and it's ready to go out. So now we need to automate this, right? Instead of having to visit your profile, what does that do? It makes your profile, you know, bump up a little high that AI gave me, right? Dragged in my logo, put my name here and now, hey, perfect. Now I've got a little video ad that's decent, right? It's a girl. I got some that were guys. I just got some rant, some, some good variation of different, different feels of, of things that could happen here, right? Come back to projects, we'll click on a couple more here. I got this, this black girl that was pretty cool that I got out of. I think Mid Journey higher in terms of the algorithms. It makes your content bump up a little higher in the algorithms. Right. So do things that will actually make people engage with you. Actually network, actually provide value.
Right.
Okay. So anyway, it can't just be like, actually come in, write content, do this. This allows me to automate that posting. And Buffer is a great one. That is not going to get you banned from LinkedIn because some of them are not great. And LinkedIn, you know, different profiles will say, hey, we've sensed automation on your profile and we don't like that. This is cool. That kind of comment will not get you your result. It's got to be like, hey, you know what? I think I had Mid Journey make this, and I thought that was a good. A good feel here. I did an office with empty cubicles here, you know, which is, you know, obviously, you know, some. Some fun ideas there. And so I just. I just kind of came through. And Trump's crazy and the tariffs are kind of nuts, but, you know, we got to change something. So now it's a fun show. Whatever. I mean, that would be more of a thoughtful comment instead of just like, yeah, these are some of the images I made. Here are some of the. This.
Right.
Okay. They really like real, real engagement. So we'll discard these changes. So this is, you know, tariffs, you know, so anyway, those who learn, I now will lead the future. Right. So this is a girl, like, using obviously, a screen or a.
Phone. Good brand building is what you're.
Saying. Yeah, Per phone or something. And I wanted to get some good, you know, broad, you know, strokes. I could. I could maybe focus in a little bit on the specific Persona, but for this, I wanted to be really broad and just kind of let Facebook figure it out. And I'll show you why in a minute. Okay. What is your AI? Let's see if Buffer has an API that we can look into. So we'll just look for Buffer API. Personal brand building, guys, goes with you your whole life. It travels with you from job to job. And click on this link now. It says here as of October 14th to you. So I made some images, I made some videos, I got some variety, and I basically came up with 10 different ads. Okay. Then you jump into Ads Manager, and setting up Ads Manager is not hard. And what Ads Manager has is the ability to use some cool things. One of them is called the advantage from startup to startup from whatever it is. Right. And so build your brand is the only thing that's going, that's guaranteed to last Right. Do that. Make it whatever you want. My brand. You're welcome to go poke around on my, on my LinkedIn and look at it. But like I'm an plus audience. The advantage plus audience, guys, is basically why ad buyers are going to go extinct. Ad buyers have entrepreneur. But adventure and kayaking just means so much to me. And so I put it front and center there on, you know, I'm, I mean this is an outdoor picture and this is me kayaking off of a waterfall spent. You know, you, you spend, you know, a lot of money paying agencies to run Apple, right? Like, so when people come to my profile, they talk to me like they know what's going on advertising for you. But the reality is their, their primary purpose really has been to, to do targeting, right? Ad buyers are great at targeting, right? And I say, I'm a creator, adventure entrepreneur, musician, right? Some people, some people do. I mean, look at all the stuff I have. Just, I had no comments or messages before we started this class, right? Figuring that out and adjusting and trying to just make, you know, find the exact right audience and get it to work. Well, Facebook knows about AI as well, and so they've applied it to their advantage, their, their audience and like messages, notifications, network. I've got all kinds of new people coming to me today because I'm giving and when I give, I receive. That's just, it's just how it works. Finder and so you can give it zero targeting instructions and click go, right? So spruce up your profile, do whatever it takes, you know, or whatever you, whatever and it will get you customers. It will put it in front of the right people. And what it does is it just starts testing. I think you want to do now if you want to so that then you know, you've got, you've got.
This. Let's.
Go. All these different demographics. I might test a hundred different ones. Now you can actually give it. You come down here and you can give it suggestions and. Or you can switch to original audience option to. Let's see here. Where are my, where are my pages? Here's my General Artificial Intelligence Proficiency institute. I went 25 followers. I haven't actively tried to build this. I literally haven't posted yet on it. Okay, but it's here. And let's say I wanted to automate this and I wanted to start posting here and I wanted to post 12 times 19 buffer no longer supports registration of new developers. Well, that sucks. So we can't use this anymore. But I did some cool research and I found out that Zapier is one of the ones that works. Anybody ever use.
Zapier? Yeah, I use it quite a.
Bit. That beer is amazing. Right. So build look up Buffer and then build something in your app, in your, you know, if in for me Gen AIPI and I could have it reference all of my lesson content, all of my blogs, all of my whatever. Right? And I could say, hey, I want you to build content once a day. I want you to create 12 pieces of content. I want an M a day. How would I do that without swimming like crazy? Can anybody think I want you guys and you can, you know, hey, I'm an ad buyer and I'm smarter than the AI, right? Go for it, man. Like do it. But if you don't want to do that, then just let the AI do it and let it figure it out. But it'll just start throwing it at people and oh, hey, I got some results here. I got some clicks. Let's try that a little bit more. And then it'll try some other ones. Keep trying other ones. Hey, I got some over here. And eventually it's going to narrow it down to like hey, these groups respond the best to your messaging. Okay. I were also using something called there's got all the skills you.
Have. There's post planners that you can set up and schedule out and pre do it. And so you could probably tie that into GPT, write me 12 posts and then you parse them.
Out. Dynamic creative. Right now Dynamic creative will take different.
Combination. I forget what the name of some of them.
Are. Issions of your text and your audio and video and all these different things and throw it out there. So let's show you what I did here. And then you set your budget and things like that and then you jump in. Very.
Good. It's his.
Dick. Yeah, thank.
You. Does anybody know how much money it takes to figure out if an ad I like Buffer. There's a lot of different ones out there, but Buffer. Yeah, here's buffer right here. I've got it open actually I need to. I need to reconnect it because I. Yeah, I haven't been using this specific profile but. But here you go. You can have. You can connect a bunch of different profiles to Buffer, right? Your Twitter and your LinkedIn and your Facebook, Instagram, all these different things. Even your blue sky, if that actually works. Like how much time and money does it take to figure out if an ad is actually a good one engine? So I'd maybe tie in a mid journey API or something like that, that. Or even just use another open AI API key so I can generate images, I have it, then upload in a specific form and I figure out how you roll. So there's a lot of different things you can, you can connect to and you just, you know, you click.
New post, about 10 bucks. Five.
Bucks. Yeah, five bucks. Yeah. And by the way, five bucks for seven days. That's important. Yeah, my boss and you know, use the AI assistant if you want. Right. Talk about AI. Right. Oh, you know, what is the Google Drive and buffer, you know, automation. What does this do? What is. I'm going to look at it, I'm going to see what it needs and then I'm going to figure out. Okay, great. So now I'm going to.
Tell. You know, charges 10 grand a month to manage a campaign at minimum. And they use the Advantage plus audiences. They'll put some bumpers around it and test it. But been doing it for 10.
Years. AI tech. Sure. I don't know. So now it's going to come up with something and I'm sure it's connected into AI. I don't know what AI is behind this, but. Okay, insert now. I've got my.
Post. This isn't yours, but like it's, it's hard to beat. I can't beat it anymore.
Either. Yep, totally. The Advantage plus is awesome. And look again, guys, this is that knowledge gap that we were talking about the beginning, right. They don't know that. They're just like, oh, I need you to manage my ads. I don't have time to think of terrible posts. It's so long. Anything good. So don't do this. Right. But just for, you know, quick, whatever. Right now I want to drag it down. Drag and drop a file. I want to drag this one on here and about it. And that might be totally true. Right. I might even pay for someone to run my ads and I might end up replit. Okay, once a day I need you to run a little. A little. This is going to be my post and my picture and now it's going to upload. Wait for it. But now I'm ready to post something. Assuming this was actually good content, I'm ready to add to queue paying them a 20% premium because I'm paying them to do this, this. So it's not, it's not really, you know, it's not going to completely eliminate ad buyers because not everybody wants to do everything right. Not everybody wants to be a solopreneur, for example. Right. So anyway, Once you get into here, guys, you just upload, you know, you select your Facebook page and your job. I want you to create 12 pieces of content and 12 images to go along with it. I want you to send it over to, to Google Drive like this and you can use, you could, you could set up an API between your app and Google Drive, right? And now you're Instagram account, whatever it is, right? And then you just select all your, all the different creatives, right? And you guys saw, you know, my Twitter and my LinkedIn and my Instagram and my Facebook and my Pinterest and whatever it is I have here and it's ready to go out. So now we need to automate this, right? Instead of having to actually come in, write content, do this, this allows me to automate that posting. And Buffer is a great one that is not going to get you banned from LinkedIn because some of them are not great. And LinkedIn, where I made these, I made them in ChatGPT and I dragged it on to images that I found and used inside of Canva or that I created in midjourney, combined them together in some nice templates. I've got a bowen, right? And then you set up Buffer to post once every 71 minutes. Guy working late at the office, whatever, right? Is he keeping up with whatever? Then I'm dropping in. Hey, aiq, the score that defines your future AI fluency is no longer optional. I have five different or whatever you want to do. And you have automated posting to all of your social. So I think this is super useful for businesses, right? Which is where we're trying to build business with, you know, different profiles will say, hey, we've sensed automation on your profile and we don't like that. Okay? They really like real, real engagement. So we'll discard these changes. So let's see if Buffer has an API that we can look into. So we'll just look for Buffer API and click on this link. Now, it says here, as of October 14th, two options right here, right? And then I have five different headlines right here. And then I have five different descriptions right here. So if I have 5 times 5 times 5 times 10 images, I have 1100 AI. Right? That's what we're doing. I personally, this is just me. I19 buffer no longer supports registration of new developers. Well, that sucks. So we can't use this anymore. But I did some cool research and I found out that Zapier is one of the ones that works. Anybody ever use Zapier? Yeah, I use it quite A bit zapier is amazing. Right? So build look up, buffer and then build something personally like to keep control over my, my, my options of combinations that Facebook can try out. Right. And so when in your app, in your, you know, if in for me gen ipi, you look over here, it'll say okay, here's, here's some variations and you can just kind of scroll down and see it's going to grab some image and one of the messages and it's going to show it there and it's going to see what it looks like and some of them look and I could have it referenced all of my lesson content, all of my blogs, all better than others. But it'll just kind of show you, you know, some of, some of what might happen what this, all of my whatever, right? And I could say, hey, I want you to build content once a day. I want you to create 12 pieces of content. I want an image, my personal brand. I don't want AI just going off and saying stuff. Right. Because it might not sound like me. I quite frankly don't want people to think that I'm using AI to do this look like right. Hey, I want to see this ad. What does this ad look like when it's in different spots? Right Engine. So I'd maybe tie in a mid journey API or something like that or even just use another open AI and it's going to try things and if it doesn't look great or if it doesn't feel great or whatever, then it won't use that anymore. API key so I can generate images, I have it then upload in a specific format. I figure out how, you know, what is the Google Drive and buffer, you know, automation. What does this do? What is it? I'm going to look at it, I'm going to see what it needs and then I'm going to figure out okay, great. So now I'm going to tell. Even though it would kind of be on brand for me, you know, but I, I just don't want it. I, I like being real. I like being, you know, whatever. So I like mixing it up. Any question, right? And I don't know why sometimes the image doesn't show up. It's supposed to show up here. I don't, I'm not sure why it's not doing that but. Well, why is it scrolling over there? I want to scroll here. Okay, whatever. Maybe it's because I'm zoomed in. No, I don't know why. Maybe that's all it can show me. But anyway, guys, this is a driving AI l replit, okay. Once a day I need you to run a little, a little job. I want you to create 12 pieces of content and 12 images to go along with it. I want you to send it over to, to Google Drive like this and you can use, you could, you could set up an API pushing AI like it's, this is like super AI meta inside of meta. It's about like does anybody here feel like they couldn't do what I just described? You take a minute, might take you four hours to set it up to figure it out, a little bit of checking, but right. Anyway, so that's kind of fun. But any questions about this? Guys, I know I'm kind of cranking through this piece but it's pretty self explanatory as you go, as you just, if you just follow and read the steps as you set up a campaign between your app and Google Drive, right? And now you're wrong. Like you're like, okay, I got it. You just go, really what you need to know. $5 for seven. But the reality is if you have Zapier which has you know, 10,000 different integrations, you can automate anything and then you can just talk to replit, talk to chat, GPT to ask you how to set up. That is when you know whether or not an ad is good, right? It costs you, right? And then you set up buffer to, you know, posts, you know, once every, you know, 71 minutes or whatever you want to do and you have automated posting to all of your social. So I think this is super useful for businesses, right? Which is what we're trying to build business with 35 bucks to figure that out, right? Am I willing to try that? Absolutely. All day long. The reality is you can, if you spend more, you will get better data. So if you can afford to spend $30 a day for seven days, even better, right? And you have to know like this, the APIs and push data from one spot to another. That's all it is. You're just moving things through APIs they, right, that's what we're doing. I personally this is just me I talking to endpoints and building these nice surfing systems. Okay, cool. Pretty neat, pretty neat. I, at some point I will do this personally like to keep control over my, my, my, my personal brand. I don't want AI just going off and saying stuff, right? Because it might not sound like me. I quite frankly don't want people to think that I'm using AI to do this. I will Set this up for my Gen API. You'll start to see tons of content coming and you'll be like $210. I am burning. I'm lighting on fire. If I get nothing out of it, all I'm going to learn is that this doesn't work. And maybe I'll know how to tweak a little bit. You have to be willing to do that. But even though it would kind of be on brand for me, you know, but I, I just don't want it. I, I like being real. I like being, you know, whatever. So I like mixing it up. Any questions about, like, does anybody here feel like they couldn't do what I just described? That's okay. That's okay. That's part of, that's part of how we, you know, guess and check and test this stuff. Now what if you go through and it'd take you a minute, might take you four hours to set it up, to figure it out, a little bit of checking. But. But the reality is if you have Zapier, which has, you know, 10,000 different integrations, you spend $50 and you get 140 people to your website from all of those clicks and then nobody buys. What's the.
Problem? Site.
Sucks. Yeah. Then your site sucks. Your product's wrong or, I don't know, some message messaging's not working. Now, theoretically, your ads could not be. I know how John's doing this, right? Because I'm not going to do it. I don't have time. It is so much work. My wife and her neighbor just right down here. Be aligned with your website content. But, you know, assuming you are aligned between your ad con. My wife's an amazing gardener and she's got, you know, her zenasfloral.com. right. And they wanted to create a new kind of thing that's does floral stuff and she built this. You can automate anything and then you can just talk to replit, talk to ChatGPT to ask you how to set up the APIs and push data from one spot to another. That's all it is. You're just moving things through APIs, intent and AD creative in your website. Then yeah, you don't have a great funnel. You don't have a good landing page. Talking to endpoints and building these nice surfing systems. Okay, cool. Pretty neat. Pretty neat. I, at some point I will do this. It's confusing. They're getting lost, whatever that is. And so you have to worry about that. Now you can actually ask Replit and say, hey, I want to make this site a better landing page for businesses. I will set this up for my Gen ipi. You'll start to see tons of content coming, and you'll be like, I know how John's doing this, right? Because I'm not going to do it. I don't have time. It is so much.
