Crush Your Inner Villain with 10 Bulletproof Mind Hacks

This is a YouTube video titled "Crush Your Inner Villain with 10 Bulletproof Mind Hacks" created in August 2025. The content features Tony Robbins delivering a motivational talk focused on overcoming internal obstacles such as distraction, indecision, and drifting away from goals. He shares practical advice on mindset, intention, and commitment to help viewers take action and lead with their heart. The talk is a solo presentation without a conversational format.
I wrote down 10 bullets on the intervillain this morning that I want to share with you. It could take me 10 minutes or they could take me 45 minutes. I'm not sure what inspired me today is conversations I've been having with my 18 year old daughter. And I had her read the book Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill. It is such a cool book. The concept of the book is this. In the book, it's he's having a conversation talking about how this devil, this alter belief, the thing that we have inside of us, I think I used to in power. So the book Outwitting the Devil is really just addressing a camp me of progress isn't failure, it's drifting. You see, most people, we don't fail. Hear me on this one. You don't fail dramatically. It wasn't like, oh, I tried it, I went all in and it crushed, it failed. It broke my heart, right? Failure comes quietly. Failure comes from slowly drifting away from your dreams and your goals. And what happens is as you drift, you don't know when it happened. But then you go, hey, wait a minute, I was supposed to be in my own business, I'm supposed to unlock my creativity. And you go back online and you're looking at ads and you're looking at things and go, oh, maybe it's this. And you don't realize that you go from project to project, maybe idea to idea, but you never commit completely. Something pops up that you don't like, maybe it's the market, it's like, I'll come back to that. And slowly you drift and then you're looking for something else. Like it's, we're a mile wide and an inch deep rather than an inch wide and a mile deep. And if you think about it, if you catch yourself drifting, you gotta remember that drifting is how dreams die. It's not as dramatic as you think. It's just a slow, subtle, you know. If you think of what is drifting, what is right, you get on a, you know, a pontoon boat or something. Does my space fail? All businesses fail because they're drifting, because they're not focused, because they're in their head, right? So if we remember when you're in your head, you're dead. But let's go a little deeper is the head is where doubt lives, the heart is where you find courage. And when you're in your head, you guys should find your own tool to get you back in your heart. That could be your purpose, could be your why, could be your daughter. Could be your spouse. It could be the best version of you that you know is yet to come. But what is the thing that when you bring it up, you go, oh, I'm back in my heart. There's nothing going to stop me. I'm back in my heart. Okay, that's number two. Number three, According to Napoleon Hill, the devil's greatest tool is distraction. If the devil can't destroy you, let's think of that inner villain, that other voice. If it can't destroy you directly, then the second option is distraction. Gets you busy doing busy things. Get you busy doing things that don't move the needle. Put you in reactive mode, not proactive mode. Get you dabbling with a lot of things. No, no, no, I'm busy. I got this thing going on. I'm gonna start a podcast and I'm gonna write a book and I started this course. Oh, I'm gonna get my social media going. Oh, I think I'm gonna be a coach. Oh, no. Maybe I should work on the book. No. Which one of these? Ah, Netflix. Let me surf. Oh, that's funny, huh? Did you see that? When does that happen? So if you think about it, if you start getting busy or doing other things or having distractions, I would bet to say if you go upstate upstream a little bit, you're going to go, oh, I was up against something that made me think. I was up against something where I had to have a breakthrough. So instead of having the breakthrough, I went to Netflix. Instead of having the breakthrough, I went and had a cocktail. Instead of the breakthrough, I just started going like this with my finger. I don't even realize an hour and a half went by when people say to me, sometimes I just. I would love to do more of this, Dean, just don't have time. I got this from Tony, which I've watched him do this in front of me. You know what he'll say? He'll say, give me your phone. And then people are like, well, why? Because I'm not gonna look it up. I just wanna see how many hours a day you're on your phone. And Tony, go 4.7 hours on your phone. Today. Today. You don't have time. Bullshit. You got time. You don't have. Focus. You're drifting, you're distracted. Each of us, if you went on your phone, you wouldn't imagine how much time you have on it. So be careful. The tool of the inner villain, or the negative Nelly, whatever you wanna call it, that lives inside of you. It's simply just distraction. Keep you busy with things that don't move the needle, working on things that mean nothing, and it makes you dabble. You can't let that win. Number four, your future doesn't need more information. It needs more intention. The reason I wrote this one this morning is because sometimes when we're not moving forward, when we're a little distracted, when we're drifting a little, our brain goes into. I need to learn more. And I'm just going to say this as someone who wants to teach all of you. Don't become a professional learner. Learn enough and become a professional action taker. In some cases, you already know enough. Think of it through the lens of a pencil. You could get your first sale, your first multiple sales, your first 20 sales before you build out a complete funnel and a down sell and an upsell. Get momentum. Get in the game. Use the thing that drives you forward. And in some cases, you already know what to do. But when you get a little nervous, you go, I need to learn more. So number four is your future doesn't need more information. It needs more intention. Take what you know and put it into play. Take what you know and start posting. Take what you know. Use Gigi and get your six teaching topics, your 12 teaching topics. Start teaching them in social media for free. Start teaching all your friends. Start the momentum instead of waiting for. I know all the software. It's all built. The course is built, the funnel's built the pieces built, the webinar shot. You'll get there, but you'll get there a lot quicker if you recognize these little. Ooh. I was up against something that made me think. I was up against something where I had to have a breakthrough. So instead of having the breakthrough, I went to Netflix. Instead of having the breakthrough, I went and had a cocktail. Instead of the breakthrough, I just started going like this with my finger. You'll get there, but you'll get there a lot quicker if you recognize these little milestones along the way. Number five, indecision is a decision. I know you've all heard that before, but today I want to be a reminder service. Every time you hesitate, delay, or drift, you're deciding to stay stuck, right? If you think about it, if you feel a little stuck, you feel like, I'm not sure on this, and then you drift or you go, I'll do it tomorrow. You're actually making a decision. You actually don't need more time. You need to find a moment of power. A moment of, I'm going to take this action now instead of finding a way around it. We have to find something in our soul to have a moment of power and say, now, when's the best time to do this, Right this very minute. When is the best time to attack the thing I've been putting off? Right this very minute. That was number five, I think. Number six, Clarity lives in your heart, not your head. What if you let your desires, not your doubts, write the next chapter of your life? What would your life look like if your heart and your desires wrote the next chapter? For some reason, we've been taught to be real, be logical. So I can be like everybody else. I want to be the crazy one. I want to be the dreamer. I want to be the one that people look at sideways. Can I tell you, everyone doubted my dreams, and that's okay. And they didn't doubt me like you, loser. It was more like, hey, other people do that. Dean, that's not where we come from. I'm talking parents, friends, family, right? They couldn't see my vision. That's okay. They weren't trying to hurt me. But if I can find it, if I can live in my heart, then why even get in our head? If your heart shows you that you're unstoppable and it's where your dreams come into reality, then why let the head get in the way? I don't want to oversimplify it, but one's your head, one's your heart. And I think who we listen to determines our destiny. Drifters drift. Decision makers create. Drifters. Chase what other people are doing. Oh, maybe this is it. Oh, maybe I should do this. Oh, this looks good. I saw this person online. They got rich doing this. Oh, no. I could try that. Oh, I should do a webinar. No, I should do a podcast. No, I should do a book. Ah. Decision makers just go, this is what I'm doing. I'm going to create this. I'm going to lead. Right? It's a little scary when they said lead. A little scary for some of you. But you're here. You have all the grit. You have all the you. You have all of what you need to lead. Sometimes we're waiting for a sign. Well, when this happens, and then that happens, if this lines up and if this one agrees with me, then I'll go all in. But creators, decision makers, we make a plan, we commit to it emotionally, and then we go deep. Decision makers just go, I'm doing this. I'm doing it. It's scary. I failed. Let me pivot. Oh, it's working. Let me do more of it. Ah. It failed. Right? You gotta be a decision maker. Plan, commit emotionally, go deep. Do it messy. What if it was the line in the sand, I think of those things, right? We all need a line in the sand. We all could say, hey, I thought I'd be further along by now. Can't believe I'm hesitating. Did I even. Do I still even have this dream? Should I. Maybe I should just be happy where I'm at. I mean, my life's pretty good. Or you could just say, today, this is my moment. This is the decision. This is the time. This could be another event, another world summit that I show up, playful out, learn a lot and then get done and go back. Or it could be the one where you say, no more. I'm going to go squeeze every bit out of this event. I'm going to rob what I need to rob and I'm going to take uncomfortable action. What if we did it as. You can either show up as the drifter or you could show up as the driver. What if you just decided that I'm going to show up and I'm going to make decisions. I'm going to show up knowing my heart is in control. I'm going to show up and leave with a plan. I'm going to commit to it and I'm going to go deep, even if I'm scared. You see, if you watch me on Mondays, the reason a lot of times at the end of that, I'll say, put all in the chat. Or me, because I believe with all of me that our life changes when we decide to go all in. But not just saying, I'm all in. I mean, really all in. All in on the idea you've been sitting on the course you're dying to build, the thing you've been a little bit of afraid to launch because someone might judge you. It's time to start actually building and stop circling. Right. Like, that's the thing I'm going to build. Yeah, that thing. I'm going to get to it. But, like, it's time to just grab it and go, I'm going to do it. And when I say go all in, sometimes people get confused and they say, oh, I just. But I don't have four 40 hours a week to do this. It's got nothing to do with 40 hours to do this. It's going all in. By the time that you do have, you commit, you take uncomfortable action, you schedule it, you move forward. When you fail, you learn from it, you keep moving forward. We have to decide. Going all in doesn't just mean I say, I'm all in. If this isn't for you. I totally get it. Then go all in on something, right? Doesn't life get better when you're just committed to something? And in a business, you don't get success by dabbling. You don't get success waiting for the other shoe to drop. To see what's wrong, you have to see what's right. You have to lead with courage. You have to find a way. You have to work on your mindset. You have to work on the strategies. If the technology's buggy, park the technology on the side, use the pencil, build it, get your first sale. Then slowly ease into technology. Whatever you got to do, you got to do to keep moving forward. The last and tenth one. Let your heart be the compass. It kind of just summarizes everything we just talked about. Just let your heart lead the way. Trust it. I would bet to say I went most of my life letting my head lead the way when it came to relationships. Now that I let my heart lead. Oh, duh. Why didn't someone tell me that a lot sooner? You know, because I probably wasn't listening. Most of my focus was on business, and I didn't realize that I could have taken the same principles and put it in relationships. And when I did. Aww. The heavens parted. I know politics are crazier now than ever. And if we don't agree on politics, we're not supposed to agree in life. It's a crazy time. But I believe a group like this that leads with their heart, people who are more alive, more aligned. I think it's a group like this that can show that we can come together in a great way. Success allows more influence. Isn't it true? And if our desire is to make this world a better place to impact others, to have deeper purpose in our life and still make money along the way, then the more successful you get. This is what Tony put in my life almost 30 years ago and still puts in my life every day. The more successful we get, the more we can let our purpose out. The more we can help heal, the more we can help lead, the more we can help impact and the more we could bring this world together.
