Hey, everybody. Dean Graziosi, welcome to the Weekly Wisdom. Hey, I got a couple cool things for you today. First, I want you to go to itunes and look up Earl Nightingale. Earl Nightingale. And I'd love for you to buy for $2.90, his audio series or audio called the Strangest secret. It's only 40 minutes long, and the first 20 minutes are so powerful. Earl Nightingale, if you don't know who he is, he's kind of the father of personal development. This audio was recorded 20, 30, maybe 40 years. It's unbelievable. It's the foundation of personal success. But it's so simple, and you get so many aha moments. I listened to it when I was running the other day. I was like, wow, my students have to hear this. You need it. Okay. So I got into Earl. I listened to that. I've been going through a lot of this stuff. I'm obsessed lately. If you've been watching me, you know, I'm just downloading books and audios. But one thing I heard this morning that made me think of you guys is a really simple thing that I kind of organically already do. If some of you have been around for years or come to the edge, you know, I do a lot on a yellow pad. Three columns, and I put my daily tasks all the way to the left. But Earl said he shared this story about a consultant that went into this big company that couldn't grow, and they felt like they hit a ceiling. And this consultant came in and saw all these things the president was doing and busy, busy, busy. And he said, I have a way to significantly increase your company's profitability and take you to a whole other level. And the president said, okay. And how the story goes is the consultant said, hey, you do me a favor. You put this in play. He did the whole thing in 10 minutes. You put this in play, and in three months, you send me a check for whatever you think my consulting, my wisdom, what I shared with you is worth. As the story goes, he ended up getting a check 90 days later for 25,000 bucks when $25,000 for 20 minutes was massive. It's still massive now, but this is a long, long time ago. Right after the Depression. That's how the story goes. And what was this secret, this one thing he gave the head of this big company is every night, write down the six things you want to accomplish the next day. Just six, not ten. Don't fill your whole paper up, not two, six, and then label them one to six, with one being the most important. Thing to attack. Now, as simple as that sounds, this president, you, me, this crazy world with phones and emails and text messages and running all over the place, we get so distracted sometimes, we don't get anything done right. When you have too many choices, you don't have any right. When you have too many things going on, you don't get anything done. So here's the challenge I want to give you this week. Take every night this week, write six things down on a piece of paper, label them one through six, and take number one as the most important and start on that the next day. Here's the cool part. When you do that, you get to check them off and see these accomplishments. If you get four done, that's okay. Two carry over and four new ones get added. But just six. So do that for me this week. Six things, prioritize them, and just attack that. And then here's the other thing. If things don't. If something comes up that doesn't fit in those one of those six things and it's not important, it gives you this little mental note. This little light bulb pops on and goes, no, no, no, I can't do that because it's not pushing me towards my goal of getting these six things done today. So try that for a week. I promise you it will make an impact. But go to iTunes or Audible.com and download the Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale. I think you'll absolutely love it.
