Dean, you've been around for 20 years. What makes that messenger, that speaker? What is it? What is important for all of our listeners that make them great in your eyes? Seeing so many speakers and so many people come and go, short game, long game. What's important, like for somebody to just.
This is going to sound so simple, but we all lose track. If you're selling, if you're on stage selling, you're thinking about, am I going to convert X amount of the people in the room, Is it going to be worth my time? If you go and you got paid a keynote and you got 10 grand, it's your first one, you're in the back freaking out saying, is it going to be worth the ten grand? Are they going to like it? We get all those feelings. I've had all them. Maybe I'm unique, but I nearly shit myself, for lack of a better word. Nervous cottonmouth. Like, I had all those feelings. But all that changed when I said, that's not what I'm here for. I'm here to serve these people in the audience. And if you just to keep that inspiration is always ramp up, always be growing, always know where it is you want to go and always know what you want to deliver to them that serves them. I know that sounds true, like, oh, serve them, you make more money. But it's true. When I stopped thinking what my sales numbers would be, when I stopped thinking I had the perfect presentation or when to bring in the close slide and when to anchor and when to bring the bonus, you need structure, of course, and that's what you learn from great people. Like people. When I just got into my heart and I looked out in those audiences, saw people that needed what I had, and I was there to serve them. The byproduct was bigger sales and more. My keynotes doubled, my sales quadrupled. And there's not many people that can, that can match it. And I just see those that are growing are realizing the world is sick of the bs. They're sick of the hype, they're sick of the perfect suit with the perfect slides. They just want real people sharing real stuff. And most importantly, they want people who care. What's up?
