Dean Graziosi compares money to oxygen: when you have it, you don't think about it, but scarcity consumes everything. His father missed his sports events because the family was broke and stuck in survival mode. Graziosi built his podcast to give people enough value that they can stop obsessing over money and actually grow.

Why is money like oxygen for people? Us sitting in this room, because there's abundance of oxygen. Not once did you and I think about the oxygen in this room or say, I'm grateful for the oxygen. I'm glad there's a lot. It's always there. So if we don't have to think about it, then you and I can think about this podcast. How do we impact this incredible audience of yours? How do we make sure we deliver everything we can to help them go further, faster? And all those things we're doing, that's what we're thinking about. But if somebody had a switch and they shut off all the oxygen in this room and started getting tight, it was like, oh, all you would think about is the oxygen in this room. If there was lack of it. And I realized that watching my parents, they had lack of money. So when the lack of money came in, they couldn't live into who they were meant to be. My dad couldn't come to my baseball or football games or any of those things like that because money was so important. It was, how do I make the next dollar to survive? Therefore, he was choked by the oxygen, by the money, and he didn't even realize that his whole life was kind of wrapped around that.
