One SIMPLE Step To Overcome Fear

Dean Graziosi climbed a 55-foot pole and froze at the top, terrified despite a safety harness. He jumped for an 8-foot trapeze anyway. That final step, he says, is what stops people from releasing videos, launching courses, or quitting jobs. Push past the doubt.

Who's ever been afraid of something and you didn't do it? Isn't that a terrible feeling? Who's ever been afraid of something and you pushed yourself through it and you felt amazing on the other side, right? Welcome to the Dean Graziosi show. All success starts right here. And this is just, I think this is a really good precedent for all of us, this silly little story. So this pole is like 55 or 60ft high. I am absolutely afraid of heights. I didn't really realize how bad until I climbed this pole. So the climbing is like, I look at it as life. Like you're in this room, you're already climbing. You are getting the capabilities to take your business, your income to another level. You want to make more of an impact on the world that's climbing up the pole. But here's what I believe. I believe that last step, to really put yourself out there, to tell your friends and family, I'm freaking doing this. I don't care what you say. To do a video when you think people might not like it, to release your course, to. To book a mastermind, to book your group training or your workshop, that's to me, that's that last minute. So I climbed this 55 foot pole and I'm like, I got this, I got this, I got this. And I get to the top. Now if you're not afraid of heights, you're like, you had a strap on and think the strap, that sounded terrible. You had a harness that was bad. I had a harness on me, so I had a safety net or safety rope. There we go. Woo. Might take me a minute to recover from that one. So I had a safety harness on, but still. And it's only 55ft. I know if I fall, the harness has me. But when you're petrified, it still makes a difference, doesn't it? When you're ready to start that business, do the first video. Tell your family you're doing this, quit the job, go all in. It's that last little bit on top of the. I mean, listen, as I'm climbing up the pole, it's like, I got these handles and now I just got this little thing in front of me and I gotta stand and it's wiggling. And here's what I know at this moment. And this is the part I want you to really think about. That last little push. I accomplish anything I put my mind to. I feel so honored and blessed. I'm not afraid of anything, but I'm afraid of this thing. And as I'M getting up there. All of a sudden, the voice inside of me started saying, you don't have to do this shit. This is your mastermind. I don't give a crap what all you people say. And, Tony, stop yelling at me like, if I want to do this, I'll do it. And if I don't, I'll come down with pride. And that's how I start, right at that last minute. You don't know, but I was up there for a minute. It took me 30 seconds to get to the top. And then for a minute, I was just sitting there, and I was finding all these ways to justify not doing it and tell everybody to piss off. And I think that's our subconscious trying to protect us. Remember when you were afraid and you said, you know what? Maybe my family's right. Maybe next year will be a better year. And you know how that feels. But then how does it feel when you push through? So then I finally get on top of this pole. That's you putting your video out, you filming the course. Stop trying to make it perfect. Stop standing on the sidelines judging the other person's game. Because you know what happens when you stand on the sidelines a little scared, judging everybody else. You end up wearing someone else's name on the back of your jersey, and you become a spectator for the rest of your life. And I want everybody in this room to be players. So I finally get up there. Picture this telephone pole. You go up and then to make it, because this is probably Tony's, like, just because he likes punishing people. Do you see the trapeze thing out there? It's like eight feet out. So now you're scared to death. You're standing on top of this pole, and the whole thing is to jump out and try to hang on that. And here's the thing. I was the last person to go because I legit was gonna bail on this. I'm not kidding when I say that I was legit. I was waiting for everybody to go, and I was like, nah, I'm not doing it, and nobody can make me, right? So I get up there. But then I realized no one had caught that. No one had jumped and grabbed it and hung. So then I said to myself, when I was up there, I'm like, well, the hell with it. I'm here. I might as well win, right? I mean, why else would I do it? If I'm stuck sacrificing my life, I might as well win. My whole point for that video is this. This whole weekend you're here, you inconvenienced yourself. There was people in your life that told you you were nuts to come to an event like this. There's people in your life right now that think you're a dreamer or you're crazy or you lost your mind. That's okay. They don't build statues of. But I promise you, you're going to feel this weekend or when you go home or when it's time, because you're going to be on fire this weekend. You're going to feel the energy this weekend. You're going to have people that you're going to meet, that you're going to be friends with for life. They're going to support you. You finally feel normal. Who feels more normal in the last 24 hours than you have in a while, right? You're going to feel all that, but you're going to go home, and the top of that pole is still going to be there. That last step is going to be there. And all I know, when we're 100 years old and we look back, we're not going to be happy if we didn't take that last step. So go home and take that step. What's up? What's up? Hey, before you go, you need to watch these next few videos. They're absolute game changers. Hurry up and click right over here and watch them and I'll see you there.
