The DIFFERENCE between envy and admiration... | MM #006

Short video (YouTube) by Dean Graziosi reflecting on envy vs. admiration and mindset shifts. The speaker recounts personal experiences (travel, speaking at an event, financial worries in his twenties) and gives advice: acknowledge envy honestly, study successful people instead of making excuses, and reframe challenges as opportunities to sleep and move forward. We all have circumstances, right? And it's just how we perceive them and how we stack them. Right? As hard as it sounds, I just wish someone would have told me that because I went through my twenties doing the same exact shit.
What's up? What's up? Hey. Just sitting in the private airport in Anaheim. Had an awesome day today. I flew out with my buddy Trent, And then I spoke at an event here as a test behind Kevin o', Leary, the guy from Shark Tank. It was awesome. Incredible audience. They played, full out fun. And now back at the airport, heading back home. So today was an awesome day. Gonna jump back in the plane, head back home, hopefully get to see my kids before they go to sleep. That's my day.
There's a difference between envy and admiration. If every time someone else is successful, you condemn them or make an excuse why they're successful and you're not, you know that that's just an excuse. Don't make up a story why it didn't work for you and he got lucky. I mean, what if you just asked yourself, wow, he's successful. How does that make me feel? Like? Imagine if you just had the nerve to say, it makes me feel like shit. I'm a little envious. But what if you just had that conversation with yourself and then got through that and got to a point like, whoa, if that guy did it, maybe I should study what he did, okay? So we could talk about all that. Because we're flying in a private jet right now. We're not broke. So I know there's people watching going, man, that's easy to say when you're doing well, but, you know, no money or bad relationship, just lost, alone, single, feeling bad. It's harder. There's no question about it. It's harder not to have envy when you feel like nothing's going good in your life. We all have circumstances, right? And it's just how we perceive them and how we stack them, right? As hard as it sounds, I just wish someone would have told me that, because I went through my twenties doing the same exact shit. Because I'd wake up going, man, how am I going to pay that bill? And did I bite off more than I could chew? And oh, my God, I took on that mortgage and that house. And what if this goes wrong? Then I can't support my parents anymore. I retired them 10 years ago. What if I can't? And then I'll look like an idiot. I used to stack it up, and all of a sudden it'd be morning and I just missed four hours of sleep. And the only thing that fixed it was I started saying, wow, maybe this is God challenging me on another level. Wow. I wonder what's coming next. Oh, the next thing I could do, and I could. And then all of a sudden, I'm sleeping. As simple as that sounds. Why doesn't anybody ever tell you that? Shit? Before you go, you need to watch these next few videos. They're absolute game changers.
