Watch This if You Are Putting Your Dreams on Hold

A short motivational talk by Dean Graziosi emphasizing the importance of having vision and clarity to achieve goals. Graziosi contrasts people spending energy on avoiding what they don’t want with the need to define what they do want, uses an anecdote about whitewater rafting to illustrate focusing on positive targets rather than obstacles, and urges viewers to create clarity so they can say no to distractions.

These are the foundation of my success. And the most successful people I know, Vision and clarity. Do this this week. Vision and clarity. Everybody got that? You can pop that off the screen. If you do something for me this week, you will. It's proven, because I've done it to thousands of people. Ask 10 people, you know, randomly, not the people in this room. Ask 10 people randomly when what they want out of what they don't want out of life. What don't you want anymore? They will ramble things off in an instant. I don't want this job. I don't want to struggle anymore. I don't want my wife to do this. I don't want my husband to do this. I don't want my kids to do this. Literally, most people can ramble it off immediately. And here's what I want you to do. Stop them, interrupt them when they're on number four or five and just say, oh, hold on a second. What do you want out of life? Nine out of ten will go, hmm, that's a really good question. Or, I need to think about that. So we're all running around like Ferraris with no gps. You know where you want to go. You're avoiding potholes, but you have no GPS on where you actually want to go. And we all fall into that trap. We spend our lives avoiding the things we don't want, and we never spend time on our clarity and. And vision. When people say they don't have time, to me, I say, no, you just have no vision. You don't know where you're going. Because when you know where you're going, you know exactly what to say no to if it doesn't serve you, God, the universe, your bigger purpose, more income, serve your family. It's gotta be on that, what that not to do list. But you don't know how to do that unless you have a vision and clarity on where you want to go. If right now you can't think in a moment exactly where you want to go, then you are running on a treadmill. And I want to tell you, get off and walk up a ladder. I wrote this in the book, but I want to share this because it's worth it. A good friend of mine and partner, Brendan Burchard, and my other partner, Ethan Willis, we own a company called Growth. And I guess everybody knows, but Brendan's coming tomorrow. I don't know those of you who know Brendan. He's coming tomorrow. He's a badass. He's going to rock the world. So he's A busy guy finishing his new book. But anyway, I digress. Ethan goes on a trip with him and a bunch of dads and a bunch of 17 to 20 year old boys and they're going whitewater rafting in Denver or somewhere in Colorado. I don't know rapids, but I guess they go from a scale of one to five. Anybody know? They go to a scale of one to five. And when they got there, they were fours and fives. And all the dads are like, no way, we can't do this. These big rapids. And all of a sudden this instructor comes out, he's an older guy, he's been doing it for 25 years. He, he said, dads, don't worry, I got this. And he looks at all the kids and he said, kids, listen. See this, this is the positive point. He said, when we're in this raft, wherever I point, you don't hesitate, don't think. You just paddle your guts out to go where I point. He said, I've been doing this for 25 years because I know this. If I point to the rock, if I point to the downed tree, if I point to the heavy rapid, you guys will focus on it. We'll run right into it, flip over and we'll get hurt or drown. He said, so that's not gonna happen to us. Cause I'm never gonna point at the obstacles. I'm always gonna do the what? The positive point. And that's life. We spend too much time pointing at the rocks, pointing at the downed tree, and we run into the damn thing. All I know is the most successful people on the planet that I've been able to meet and know, know exactly where they're going, which allows you to say no to the things that don't drive you there. And you just focus on where you want to go. Vision and clarity. What's up? What's up? Hey, before you go, you need to watch these next few videos. They're absolute game changers. Hurry up and click right over here and watch them and I'll see you there.
