Hey, this is Dean Graziosi, and welcome to this week's blog. Hey, last week I gave you a challenge. We've been doing a lot of challenges. First it was the news diet. Then it was go on a negative conversation diet. Last week, I asked you to document your time over a week. Now, here's what I know. A lot of you probably tried and you were so busy you couldn't even take the time to do it. Maybe you did it for a day. And some of you hopefully went through the whole process and documented all your time. Here's a couple of things before I get to why I wanted you to do that. First of all, listen, making money with real estate can be fun, exciting, rewarding, and pay off bigger than anything I know on the planet. But, guys, I have to share with you. You have to take action. I say this all the time. I can give you the best wisdom, capability, confidence, direction, my success academy, second to none, set for life. Amazing. My books, I think they're the best books ever written on real estate. But you got to roll up your sleeves and take action. And if you weren't able to find the time to document how you spent your time over the last week, I have to tell you, do you really want it? Do you really want the results that other people on this site are getting? If you do, you got to take some action. Now, I didn't ask you to document it for your whole life or for a whole month, just for one week. Because here's what I know before I give you any lesson on what's on that piece of paper. If you did document your time, you already know which parts you're procrastinating or aren't spending wisely or literally wasting your time. You know that I don't even have to give you a lesson on it. As you are writing it down, you're like, oh, my gosh, I waste all that time with tv, with negative conversation, with going to the bar too many times, whatever it is, you know that some of those time periods can be much better spent. So if you weren't able to do it, I urge you to do it. Because at the end of the day, all the wisdom in the world, all the pep talks, all the confidence I can hope to share with you is not going to work. If you don't do a few things. Don't let negative people talk you out of it. You got to take action. And what else do you have to do? You have to find the time to take action. So here's what I'd like you to do. If you did it, congratulations. If you didn't, you do it this week, even if you do it over three or four days. But take the list. And what I would do is go through the list, and I would like you to mark the things that have a positive impact on your life, your family's life, or maybe even the universe. So if it's spending time with your family, that's amazing, that's a priority. You have to do that work, work. You have to go to work to pay the bills right now with what you're doing, homework for your kids, anything that helps you, the people you love, or the universe is something you might not want to cut. Going to church on Sundays, doing a charity event, those things are helping maybe the universe, people around you. But when you look at that list and you see the things that don't help you at all, they don't help your family at all. They don't help a bigger future for you and your family, and they don't help the universe. In fact, some of those things on the list may be doing the complete opposite. They may be hurting you or your family. Maybe going to get too many cocktails at night, I don't know, watching too much TV when you should be spending quality time with the family or learning about real estate. Make that list of the things that help, the things that are kind of neutral and the things that hurt. And I'd maybe do a, you know, one dot, two dot, three dots or a one, two, three, whatever it is. The things I would work on and chip away are the things that are hurting you, hurting your family, hurting the universe. And somehow I use the word hurt could be anything. And those should be replaced with things that help your future, things that can make you a better person, things that can make you more money, make you a better parent. I want you to spend all your extra time in real estate. But if it's something that's going to help your future, help your family, or help the universe, well, then at least replace the negative things with that. But at the end of the day, guys, there's one thing we all have in common. 24 hours in a day. It's not that we're going to get more time, it's how we use that time. And in most cases, just like sometimes when you don't know where your paycheck goes until you document where all your money goes, you go, oh, my gosh, I can't believe this, this, this, and this. And then you can make cuts and adjustments. It's the same thing with our time and it's so precious. So document what you're spending your time on. And if there's a couple things that you really enjoy, if you like going to Starbucks three days a week and goofing off for 15 minutes, I'm not telling you to cut that. That does help you. That helps you maybe make you feel better, maybe you relax, maybe you chit chat with some friends. But look at that list. You know for a fact if you did it or you didn't. Yet when you do it, you're going to know for a fact that there's things on there that should be replaced with things that can bring you a bigger and better future. So that's my assignment. That's my lesson for today. But here's something else really special. This is our 100th vlog and I congratulate there's some of you who've watched every single one. Congratulations. I look forward to doing another hundred, 200, 500, doing everything in my power to keep you inspired. But here's what I wanted to do. I was trying to think of something special I could do for you. Because this isn't about me. This is about you. What could I do at the hundredth edition, 100th episode anniversary, whatever you want to call it, I want to do something special for you.
