Weekly Video Blog #70 - Entitlement or Ownership...What Side Are You On?

Dean Graziosi urges viewers to stop expecting others (government, employers, luck, relatives) to solve their financial problems and instead take personal ownership and action. He reframes the American Dream toward entrepreneurship—specifically advocating real estate investing during down markets—and closes with a call-to-action to view additional free training videos.

Hi, this is Dean Graziosi. Welcome back to the weekly blog. Let's talk about feeling entitled. Do you feel like you deserve a raise at your job? Do you feel like you're smarter than your boss? Do you feel like you should have a job if you don't? Do you feel like the government should be bailing us out and fixing it? Well, guess what? All of those, you're probably correct. The government should bail us out. The new president's probably working his hardest to try to figure this out. You probably do deserve a raise or a better job or a better boss and. But the truth of the matter is, folks, most of it may never happen. The only person that can take charge and make a difference in your life is you. So many times I'll hear somebody complaining and spending so much time complaining about the president, about Congress, about bills that have passed, about their job, about their boss, about how unemployment is so high and just going on and on and on. And guess what? In most cases, I know they're probably right. But I can't put my mind there anymore because my focus has to be my. My family and me. I don't know about you, but none of that stimulus money hit my bank account. Whenever I wanted somebody to give me more money, they just didn't automatically do it. I never hit lotto. And I don't have any rich relatives going to leave me money. So even if it kind of stinks, what I realize is I'm in this on my own. I have to take ownership of the problems, even if they're not mine, and I have to make a difference. And the second thing I know is the American dream is alive and well. I just think my opinion, it's changed a little. The American dream, when we first started out as a country was the entrepreneurial spirit, doing your own thing. Then we got into the workforce. American dream, get a good job, get a 401k and retire when you're 65. Well, we know that's blown up. So here's my thoughts. The American dream is back to being an entrepreneur and doing your own thing. And what better than real estate during a down market when you have no money down strategies, nothing. Folks, you have to stop thinking anybody else is going to do it for you. If you have any bit of entitlement in here, you're probably right. But get rid of it, because it's not going to help you. And you got to realize the only person that could do it for you is you doing your own thing. And you're on this site. You're watching this video. It's time to take action. Hey, if last week, before I go, if last week you missed the three training videos I gave away to show you some of the live event things we did last year, some of the exact training. I'm going to make sure they put the link below so you can watch those videos. I'm Dean Graziosi. Thanks for watching.
