Weekly Wisdom #231 - Expectations and Experience

Dean Graziosi explains why real estate students fail: unrealistic expectations and poor emotional processing of the learning curve. Set small milestones like finding a realtor or talking to buyers instead of expecting a deal in 60 days. Shape your experience so frustration doesn't stop you.

Hey, guys. Welcome to the Weekly Wisdom. I'm doing a quick video for you on my little flip camera. Okay, here's what I want to talk about this week. I am so extremely confident with what we teach you and our education because it's not just something I thought up overnight or something that used to work. These are the things I do every single day and my top students who are having success do every single day. So there's two things I want you to look out for. Your expectations and your experience. If you don't allow yourself to have a good experience along this education path, along the trial and error, along the times that frustrate you or scare you, if you can't find a way to make that an experience that's going to be part of something bigger for you, a bigger future for you, then the experience will stop you from the results that you can get. And that's taking advantage of the greatest real estate market I've ever seen in my life, the one that you are now willing to jump in and take ownership of. So if you got involved in any of our education, going to live events, boots on the ground, doing our success academy, reading my book, remember that how you make the experience be is probably how much dedication and commitment you're going to have. So do whatever it takes to make sure the experience is great. And let's make sure on our end that we're giving you the greatest experience. And if we're missing something, surely let us know and the next thing is expectations. Don't set your expectations up that in 15 days you're going to do your first deal. And if you don't, you frustrate yourself or even 30 days or 60 days. Set your expectations at different levels. Set an expectation to get a realtor at a certain time before it's done, you know, a certain period of time, or getting two buyers on your list or finding a motivated seller or getting bandit signs out, or going to an auction, talking to buyers. Set your expectations to be realistic so you don't set yourself up for failure. That's my quick message for the week. That's expectations and your experience. I'll talk to you next week.
