Hey guys, it's Dean Graziosi and welcome to the weekly Wisdom. I had to shoot this quick audio for you to set up this clip that I pulled from my good buddy Sean Stephenson, speaking on stage at my yearly Edge event. You know, he showed up and surprised me. He jumped up on stage and he's such an inspiration, such an incredible guy that I wanted to pull this clip and make sure you guys saw this clip on the difference between arrogance and confidence. Watch how Sean describes it.
You know the difference between cocky and arrogant? Do you know? No. Cocky, you can back it up. Arrogant is overcompensation, right? Do you know the difference between arrogance and confidence? Arrogance is about proving. Confidence is about improving. Whenever you feel like you're not enough, you are the going in a downward spiral called insecurity. I've set my whole life intention to rid this world of insecurity. It will happen in my lifetime. And you think, oh, Sean, that's every human being. That's not going to happen. Do you know it wasn't very long ago that blacks and whites, we couldn't drink from the same fountain? Do you know, it wasn't that long ago women couldn't vote. You know, not too long ago in the big history of the human race, the world was flat. Do you know how long ago we didn't believe that gravity existed? Don't tell me something's not possible just because you can't see it. I am put on this planet Dean to share with you a message that if Dean said it, you go, oh, that's nice. But when I say it, you go, holy shit. Am I right?
Absolutely.
So what I'm here to tell you is you are enough. How do I know? Because you're still here. How many people in this room, by a raise of hands, have had at least one thing happen in your life that had gone one little direction to the left or right, you would be dead just by a raise of hands. Oh, look at you. You're so lucky. You get that boo hoo for you, right? You survived. Life's not fair. You survived. Life's very fair for you. And I'm hard on you and I love you at the same time. Because I'm hard on me and I love me the same time. And I've had to really like go inside and do the work on me. And every day what I do is I get up about 5am sometimes 4:30 in the morning because I got God's caffeine in my soul. I don't need caffeine. I'M running circles around you. Hello. That's gotta make you a little insecure, doesn't it? That's good. I'm trying to bring up your insecurities so then you pay me to get rid of them, right? It's a great marketing plan, right? Hello? Running circles. I mean, I love you, but your ego's got you in a chokehold. Your ego's got you in a chokehold the moment you think you're not enough. Who told you that? Your neighbor? Your parent? Your boss? Your ex wife? Like, who told you you're not enough? Because I got some news for you. They lied. They tried to sell you a story that you were not enough because they didn't feel like they were enough, so they wanted to keep you where they are. It's called being human. Don't hate them, because you do it, too. My friends. I do it too. We figure out our set point and then we go. Do not pass me. Don't pass me, Dean. The moment you pass me, I'm gonna figure out your Achilles heel and I'm gonna go after it. So all of a sudden you feel like, ah, okay, I won't. I put my glow on low.
Is that guy incredible or what? I mean, he came into the room and lit that place up. And most of us could never imagine what it's like to have to, you know, deal with what he had to deal with. And all it did is make him this light, this strength, and it was incredible. The Edge event was the best ever. In fact, make sure you keep looking at. I'm going to keep sharing more and more clips that we had live from the Edge recorded and. And giving you the ability to see it. I'll talk to you next week and make sure you go to deansfreebook.com that's deansfreebook.com and grab my New York Times bestsellers for free. Talk to you soon.
