Hey everybody. Dean Graziosi, welcome to the 396th Weekly Wisdom Man. It is an honor and a privilege to serve you guys and every week try to give you some capabilities and direction or little shifts you can make to change your life. Today I want to talk about a secret to happiness. One I really focused on this weekend. I think it's huge. It's this little tweak you can make that I think your happiness will immediately go to another level. But I want to back up for a second and tell you why. This is a special Weekly Wisdom just for my DG family member and I hope you watch this couple minutes long. First off, I want to give you a gift. I want to give you an interview I did with my dear friend Brendon Burchard. He's a multiple New York Times best selling author. I think he has 5 million people following on Facebook. Just a motivator, inspirator. I mean, he's just incredible, dude. And the interview we did on Confidence is killer. It's part of another course, but I want to give it to you for free. You don't have to register, you don't have to opt in, you don't have to do anything. You just click the link below and you can listen to this amazing interview. One of the reasons I want to give you that is a thank you. I know last week and the week before I reopened the reps course, of course I did with my buddy Matt Larson and we sent you a lot of emails. So this is just my way of saying, hey, sorry for all the emails, but we do that because I know, listen, so many of you are my students in the real estate world. You want to learn how or you want to go faster, make money in real estate. And I want to provide that wisdom. A couple times a year we offer you a course to do that. And that's what it was last week. So this is my way of saying thank you for putting up with those emails. Now back to our regular Weekly Wisdom. But I also know the other half of my students who watch every week never thought about real estate. You just want the success habits, you want the strategies, the capabilities to live a more fulfilled life, to reach your full capacity to go to that next level. And I love that. So it doesn't matter if you're a real estate student or if you're a success growth student. I want to deliver to you every week the skills and capabilities to keep you on a course on that path to the next level of life. You're intrigued about it. You've dreamt about that next level and you can achieve it. Most of the world just goes status quo and thinks they have to accept what the world gives them. There's a small percentage you watching that know that you could be the thermometer, the thermostat of life. You can take control. You don't have to go up and down with the temperature. You can control it. And that's why I do these every single week. So my gift to you for all the emails last week is my interview with Brendan Burchard. I think you'll really like it. And today, the secret to happiness. Well, if you watch my Facebook Live video, you already saw some of this, but this is a video just for my DG family members. I shared that there is a lot of ways that can make you happier. Some of the stuff I do week after week is hopefully to have you more fulfilled, more grateful, more happy. But one that hit me this weekend really hard was with my kids. Was with my kids. And it was two different examples all in one weekend. My son is probably the happiest little kid you've ever seen. I mean, not because he's my son. He never stops smiling. He's got a smile from ear to ear and he plays flag football and he plays baseball. And when he's at both of them, literally when he's on the grass, when he's on the field, when he's playing, he can't stop smiling. He smiles if he plays offense, he smiles if he plays defense. I mean, he smiles so much, sometimes it's out loud. He's like giggle and make a noise. He's just that happy. But this weekend he was a little sad on Saturday, I'm like, dude, what's up? Nothing, nothing, nothing. I kept hitting all these things. Finally he said one of his friends on one of his teams, I won't say our kid, supposedly his friends said to him, dude, why are you always smiling? It's annoying. Stop smiling. And it really hit my son's heart. You know, my son is. I'm five, eight on a good day, if I have a good pair of sneakers, my son inherited that. He's the smallest kid on both teams. Maybe one kid's smaller than him on a football team, but he's small and he's trying his hardest. And he's good, he's fast, he's a hustler. He's probably the fastest kid on both teams. Anyway, I'm bragging about my kids. The reason I'm telling you this is because when he said that to me. The first thought I had was like, oh, what kid said that? I want to talk to him, but I can't. That's not how I protect him. But what it made me realize about you, about me, about all of us, that kid who shared it, I've never seen him smile. I've never seen him happy once. And what I said to my son is, buddy, you know, that just tells me that you need to keep smiling more. And he's like, why is it weird that I smile? I said, no, dude. I said, that kid probably wasn't taught to smile or wasn't born with the ability to smile. Or maybe there's not enough smiles or happiness in his house. Maybe something's going wrong in his house. Maybe his parents fight. I don't know. I'm not judging, but I know most of the time people say stuff to you when they lack it. You make them feel inferior because you are doing something, being natural. And if you let him rob you, you're him. The power to take away your best you. Let me ask you, how many times in life have you stopped doing something, not doing your own business or starting a new relationship or anything because someone made you feel bad about being happier? Wanting to dance by yourself, wanting to sing in the car? Someone looks at you, oh, my God, was I being judged? Who cares? I told my son, I said, dude, you make me so happy. Watching your smile, and you light up most of the world, if someone feels bad about it, that's their own insecurities. Literally. We had this conversation. Sunday is cheat day. Two days later, I take my kids and we go to this little bakery, Cheat day. They can have sweets on Sundays. That's how we do it. So my daughter, she's small, too. She's nine. We go and we order these sweets, and this really nice woman behind the counter, really tall, one of the tallest women I've ever seen, literally, we're getting stuff. And she asked my daughter, and she said, really sweet. She said, how old are you? My daughter says, nine. She goes, oh, you're really small for nine. So my daughter comes over and she goes, dad, I'm so small, I hate it. I said, why would you say you hate it? And I said, because that girl, I said, listen, she's sweet and she's nice, but maybe she went through her whole childhood being so tall, people made fun of her. So she kind of envies that you're small. And subconsciously it came out as a negative. You can't let her make you feel Bad. You're designed exactly the way God wanted you. You're not supposed to be an inch taller or an inch shorter. God made you and I love you and the loves you just the way you are now. I talk about my kids a lot. I know that. But think about those two examples just in a weekend. How many people have robbed you along the way of your smiles, your happiness, your confidence and not even do it to maliciously hurt you. Their own insecurities that just comes flowing out because it makes them feel better somehow subconsciously. So I want you to recognize this and know. Be yourself. In fact, before I did this I pulled up a quote that I love. It literally is written in my kids workout room or their. It says Dr. Seuss. He said be who you are and say what you feel. Because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. Guys, this is just a little wake up call that a seven and a nine year old reminded me of this weekend. Be yourself. Don't let anybody rob you of your true nature. You were made to be exactly who you are and you're perfect just the way you are. You don't have to work on things that you think are weaknesses. You can get better at your strengths. You can dance in the rain. You can sing in your car. You could smile more or you could just be you. Start your own business. Fix that relationship, whatever it is and don't let anybody else make you feel inferior. Feel bad. When in most cases it's them just projecting insecurities that they never worked on. That's my message for today guys. Thanks. It's an honor and a privilege and a pleasure to have you here week after week. 396 weeks. I hope you're with me. I'm never going to stop doing these again.
