Weekly Wisdom - How To Kill Anxiety For Good!

Dean Graziosi explains how anxiety about big life changes comes from projecting your past onto the future. He uses a car-collision analogy to show how the same event creates different realities depending on your thoughts, and urges daily practice to replace fear-based thinking with vision-based thinking.

Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Just going live here, killing a little time till everybody gets on today. I want to talk about that thing. What is the one thing in your life that you are dying to do? You want to do you want to start that new business, fix your relationship, Start a new relationship, get to the gym, workout, get healthier or something you need to do. Get out of a toxic relationship, get out of a job that's killing you. Get out of a career that's robbed your life and your excitement, but you're still stalled. I want to give you a little hack here today, on this Sunday, wherever you are in the world, if you're in the States, it's Sunday morning because I just had a morning workout. I'm always, you know, I always look like crap when I'm on here. Sorry, guys, but it's what I'm inspired to chat with you guys. Good morning, Jamie. Good morning, Mikela. Good morning, everybody. Who's coming on right now, as we're doing today, we're talking about that one thing, that thing that, you know, there's lots of things you need to do. You probably want to lose weight, make more money, start the new business, take your relationship to the next level. What is the one thing that you think about doing and it causes anxiety or worry or stress in your life? You think about it and you're just like, ah, man, I need to. And you've been thinking about it for years, possibly months, and it's caused you worry and anxiety. It's actually a part of your life right now. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. Good to have you guys here. I appreciate everybody coming on here on this Sunday morning in the States or wherever you are. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, or whenever you see this today, I want to talk about that thing that you've been putting off forever and what holds us back from actually doing that thing and how can we change it? First, I want to give you an example. When we spend too long thinking about something, thinking about something we want to do or need to do, right? Let's just take that one thing, you're thinking about something right now. You've been talking about quitting the job, starting the business, ending a relationship, starting a new one, fixing the one you have for a long time, one of them, right? And what typically holds us back is, has nothing to do with the outside circumstances, all has 1000% to do with our thoughts and inside our brain. And probably most of you, if you're watching me, you believe that and you know it. But we can all get tricked. I can, I know what it's like. So let me just give you a little analogy here that I've used. This is really simple on how your brain, your thoughts, your mind controls everything. Let's just say you're going in a parking lot and someone backs out and slams, you're getting ready to park. Someone backs out with, without looking, they're reckless, maybe they back out and you hear a thud in the side of your car. Now the fact is someone hit the side of your car, but that's not reality. You know, if you're in a fear based mode, you might go, oh my God, my insurance is going to go up. My car will never be the same. How am I going to do this? He probably doesn't have insurance, probably going to screw me over. That's fear based, right? Because you're projecting something that may have happened in your past onto the present. Okay? Secondly, what if you're anger based? That bastard, how dare him not look? What he's in a hurry, is he stupid? Backs into my car, I'm gonna go give him a piece of my mind. Same situation, right? Someone just backed into your car, same situation, but the reality is completely different. Or what if you're someone who's courageous and you go, you know what, they hit my car, I'm just gonna get out, we both have insurance, we'll be fine. Same situation, right? But what if you're a peace minded person or love based and you get out and say, oh man, that person's gonna be stressed. It's a car, it's metal. That's what we pay insurance for. Nobody was hurt, no one died. Who gives a shit for lack of a better word. Go over and if the person's of sex, they hit you go, hey, hey, I hit somebody last year I did the same thing. I was talking to my wife, I wasn't paying attention. No big deal. Let's figure this out. No one's hurt. Same situation, but completely different realities depending on your thoughts of the matter. And a lot of times those thoughts and those matters have nothing more than to do with our past. So that's the secret I want to share with you today, is why don't we consider I have silly analogies for what I want to do. Why don't we consider wearing a different pair of glasses to face that one thing that you're dying to do you need to do. You worry about you have anxiety about you stress over what's up Libero? What's up Carlos? Good to have you guys here. Good to have everybody that's coming on. Appreciate the likes. If you're liking this story, share it right now. Click the share button. What if the thing that's worrying us the most, the thing that's holding us back, the thing that's not happening in our life. What's up, Jim Crowley, is because we're wearing a pair of glasses that allow us to only see the future by looking through the past. Think about that. Are we wearing a pair of glasses that only allow us to see our future and the present based on the experiences of the past? You see, we all want another level of life. We all want to break through that one thing. We all want to go to that next level. But when we experience and we project how our own business could look immediately, our glasses look through our parents who maybe tried and failed, or the company you tried in the past, or the money you invested on education but you didn't do anything with it. And all of a sudden you're projecting your future based on your past. You want to start a new relationship finally. But all of a sudden you put on a pair of glasses that sees your old horrific relationship where someone cheated or wasn't good to you or took advantage of you. And that's all of a sudden how we project the future. And what happens is the future becomes stressful, the future becomes anxious, filled, or whatever the word you want to lose. You have anxiety about it, and all of a sudden, what does it do? It causes paralysis. It causes the stand still. And it causes us to wonder why the hell we've been in the same circumstance, worrying about the same thing, wanting to start that new business. Want to go the next level, Want to tell our boss to go piss off? Want to end a really violent or horrific relationship? Want to get to the gym? Want to stop drinking? Want to stop smoking. You wonder why? It's because you're wearing glasses and you're only seeing the future based on past experiences. I know this because I've done it. I don't say this like I'm better than each person here or that I've figured it out completely and I live this blissful, harmonious life. Don't have to work on this stuff every single day of my life. It's like going to the gym. You don't look it. I look like crap. I'm always on here looking like crap. I'm sorry, guys, but I worked out this morning. I'm in the best shape of my life right now. Not because I went to the gym five months ago on a Sunday morning. It's because I try to go every day. And that's the same thing with our thoughts. It's like we have to. We have to practice this, guys. We have to work on it on a daily basis. If not, we wear the glasses of yesterday. I say this all the time. I know you guys like it. Give me a thumbs up. Give me a share right now if you like it. But our past is nothing more than research and development. But damn, our brains love to project the past as a future movie, don't they? Our past loves to haunt us and tell us that's how it's going to be forever. This is the best relationship. If it doesn't work out, you'll be alone. This is the best money you can make. If you try, you'll go broke. If you start your own business, the economy will fall. If you start your own business, the president will ruin it. Congress will ruin it. The liberals will, the conservatives will. My parents will, my cousins will, my wife. Stop with the past. The past is dead. It's gone. Bury it. Let it burn to the freaking ground. Wear a new pair of glasses again. I'm a simple thinker. I use simple analogies. When I start looking into the future and I have these worries, I'm like, holy crap, I'm looking at a past experience. Get these glasses off and smash them. And. And this is where you put a new pair of glasses on. What is your ideal outcome? What if the past didn't exist? What if today you were a newborn, fresh, you were like a hard drive and you just swiped the hard drive. The hard drive was clean. If you could paint your future based on a clean hard drive, what would that look like? Again, I don't know. If it's the money you make, the relationship you're in, the business you want to start, the people who treat you bad, the place you live, the hypnotic rhythm of, you know, I don't know what it is, but what if there was nothing about your past? What if today you could just dream? What if you just took this Sunday or whatever you know, whenever you're watching this, you just took this day and you visioned what your ideal life would be if there was nothing holding you back, no thing holding you back, no parent, no spouse, no past holding you back, what would that be? And what if every time you had the glasses on, of showing you what your past is like, of how you can't do it, rather instead of looking through with those glasses, you smash them and you put on the glasses of what your ideal outcome would be. What if every time you thought about the past, you put on the new glasses, the one that showed you where you could be the life you deserve, the next level you could thrive in tapping into your full potential, living a passionate, love filled life, making the money that you deserve, taking care of your family, taking care of your kids, putting money away so you're not stuck getting out of college and starting fresh and not worrying. What if those glasses were the only ones that you had in your glass case? Listen, I have both pair of glasses in my glass case. I have the shitty ones where I look back on the past and when I realize that I want to smash them. But guess what? Those damn glasses find their way back on my head. But what my goal is in my life and what I urge you to do is have both glasses. And when you're wearing the one pair. So that's the past. That's the shit that happened before. That's not going to happen again. That's research and development. I learned from that. Throw those glasses away and put the other ones on. And our only goal is, is to try to spend more time with the glasses. Looking forward to a bigger future, a better future, A future where you deserve the future you deserve. Where you're tapped into your full potential. You're living in the next level. You're living more abundant. You're living more joy, love, passion, income. The more we can wear those glasses. That's our reality. In the beginning of this, I shared the story about someone backing into your car. The reality was that two cars hit. I mean the circumstance was that two cars hit. The reality is nothing more than you make it. I know that's hard to believe if you're going through a really tough time in your life. I've been there. But our reality is nothing more than what we make of it and what we think about it. I appreciate you guys. If you like this again, share this. Let's get this message out.
