WW# 266 - Dean Graziosi on What Determines the Quality of Your Life

Dean Graziosi argues the quality of your life comes down to how much uncertainty you can tolerate. He contrasts our instinct to seek safety with the growth that comes from discomfort, using zip-lining and roller coasters as examples of why people seek out fear.

Hey everybody. Dean Graziosi, welcome to the Weekly Wisdom. If you're new to this site, it's a pleasure to have you here. If you're one of my loyal DG students. Love having you back. Thanks for all the wonderful comments. Okay, really quick, I'm coming to you late with a vlog this week or Weekly Wisdom because I just been going at it non stop. I'm in Palm Springs, California. I'm actually attending an Anthony Robbins event. Yes, I still work on my education. Always climbing, never sliding, right? You can't just stand still in life. You have to learn, expand your mind, put yourself in uncomfortable positions. Now, I'm fortunate enough I came in a day early and got to play a little golf with Tony and we did lunch and dinner, we had an all day meeting. He's a wonderful, wonderful guy. We've just become friends in the last maybe eight, nine months of our lives. But the reason I'm sharing this with you today is because yesterday the event went from 11 o' clock till 1 o' clock in the morning non stop. And I loved every minute of it. But there was some profound things that came out that I want to share with you guys and I can't share them all right this moment. I'm actually heading back over to the event right now. But one thing that really stood out and I had pages and pages of notes, but the one thing that I thought of you guys and my loyal DG students, or if you're new to this site, or if you're new to real estate, or you're new to just wanting to make a big change in your life, you got to realize that this is one of the things the quality of my life is determined in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty I'm willing to live with. Think about that. That goes against so much so many of us live by. So many of us want certainty. We want to make sure that job is there, our life is there, and things are structured. But so many times in life, if you are happy with all the certainty in your life, that same path to work, that same boss, that same job, that same income, that same being a little overweight or same okay relationship, if that was okay, you'd be happy and fulfilled every day. You wouldn't be watching, you wouldn't be stressed about certain things in your life. So sometimes we have to watch that. Society has pushed us to be certain and do this thing. Even though you don't love it, do it so you can be certain to pay the bills and certain to be in an okay relationship and certain to be an okay dad. No. Where life lives, where the excitement, where that void goes away, where that stress goes away, where the sadness and depression goes away is when you step out and find some things that are uncertain in your life. How many times have you been afraid of something going on a roller coaster? Being a dad, being a mom, being a husband, whatever it is, little things, the big things, you are uncertain. I remember when my kids did zip lining. They were freaked out, but after they did it, they were invigorated. They wanted to just go nuts. And how many times have you done that, Been scared, but then you did it because you were uncertain. But then when you powered through it, the other side was amazing. So let me ask you, what are you uncertain about right now in your life? Do you try real estate? And it gets a little nervous and you go, no, no, let me just go back to what I know. But what you know isn't perfect or else you wouldn't be. Watch. So I want you to measure this week. Measure the amount of certainty. And if that certainty is giving you the life you want, then wonderful, Leave it and play. But if you're not, if you're not making the money you want, if you're not feeling fulfilled, if you want to reinvent yourself, do your own thing, then it's time to step outside the box, get uncomfortable, get on that roller coaster. But here's the cool part. With our education and you being a part of Insider elite or any of the other members or being at our live events or getting education or just my books, you don't have to risk it. You have a path and plan. You have the education. Now it's time for you to get in here and make sure uncertainty becomes something you're excited about. You try something new and see if we can get you to a whole other level of fulfillment in life. I'm Dean Graziosi. Thanks for this week's. Thanks for being here this week and make sure you return.
