Dean Graziosi delivers a short motivational monologue urging people (especially entrepreneurs) to stop “playing not to lose” and instead adopt an offensive mindset: take risks, pursue stretch goals, and grow rather than simply protect existing assets. He uses a soccer/goalie metaphor to contrast defensive preservation with proactive goal-scoring, and frames this advice for uncertain or shifting economic times.

It's time to stop playing not to lose and start playing to win. What do I mean by that? Especially in uncertain times, a shifting market, a shifting economy. Sometimes when we're out front trying to score goals, if you picture like a soccer team, all of a sudden you get a little insecure and you go, oh, I just don't want to lose. And you slowly back up and you just play goalie, protecting what you have. But if you're protecting what you have, you're not growing, you're not hitting your stretch goals. You don't have your deadlines right? And you can't win by just playing defense. You have to play offense.
