So during the several days of the conference, probably most teams, and also already during their previous time, that's using the software to help a lot, right? So today, we— me as Evenratis co-founder, and also Sato-san here, who has over 2 decades of experience driving digital transformation and revenue growth— we are here to explore a simple idea. The next important layer of sales AI is not another dashboard. It is an interface that helps people to prepare better, stay more present, and follow through with greater clarity. So first of all, let me introduce briefly our product and also our company. So Evenred is founded in 2023, and also we are built on tech-positive, human-centered belief. Technology should stay out of the way and enhance your daily life. So our focus is on blending digital intelligence into the real world in a way that feels natural, useful, and easy to live with. So we call this value as undisturbed connections. And also our team is comprised of the tech veterans, including Apple, Samsung, Philips, and also the eyewear business leaders, including Lindbergh, Makita, Esselblad. So we, the team, is obsessed with craftsmanship and also the full-stack tech capabilities and also user experience. Okay, so most sales AI right now is excellent before the meeting or after it, right? So it researches the account, drafts the outreach, summarizes the calls, updates the system, and improves the forecast. But during the actual conversation, that sales still has to listen, remember the plan, and recognize a familiar reference, navigate a complex demo, and decide what to ask next. So the available interfaces are usually right now a laptop, a form or another window. So every one of them compete with the customer for attention. So the missing layer from our understanding is a context in the moment delivered without pulling the sales out of the interaction. So meet Even. So Even G2 is a display for smart eyewear. It takes places in essential context in the user's line of sight while allowing them to remain engaged with the person in front of them. The product is deliberately camera-free and designed to look and feel like premium eyewear, everyday eyewear. That matters in enterprise sales and also in people's social life because adoption depending on social acceptability as much as technical capabilities. The positioning boundary is important. Even it's not an AI that tells a seller what to say, it is a private context layer that supports the seller's preparation, memory, and judgment. So imagine like we wear the glasses from the first coffee you get off and also to the lights out where you need to go home. That's no matter you are checking your notification during meetings or before the office, or you are using conversational feature to actually transcribe all the meeting and give you AI prompt, or you are using translation to talking to international vendors and also clients. or using teleprompter to give you a speech. So all of that scenario that we use, we provide different features to support your daily life and also work. So here we have, uh, we have honored to have our guest and also our users, Sato-san. And also Sato-san has, like I said, over 2 decades experience in driving the digital transformation and also the sales revenue growth. So Sato-san, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Okay, thank you. So thank you for having me, everyone. So my name is Yoshiki Sato. I'm living in Singapore. So now, so this year that I live in Singapore for 11 years, a very long time. And also I'm purely Japanese. So my main job is at Microsoft. I'm leading the AI Solution Engineering Department across the ASEAN region, the 6 countries, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thai, Vietnam, Philippines. So that is my country. And also previously I worked for Google for more than 10 years, the very similar job, the leading the customer engineer for the cloud computing and the GenAI solution. And also on my off time, so that I'm a musician, multiple strings bassist. So recently I debuted and I published my first song. And also, why I'm here. So personally, I'm exploring how AI, especially the AI smart glasses, will integrate into our daily lives. So I am personally developing my own experimental application on EVE-NG2. So recently, I've been enjoying developing a multilingual interactive sentiment analytics app on EVE-NG2. So very nice to meet you, everyone.
Yeah, do remember, send me the song. All right, all right. So based on your experience, that's also across the countries, I imagine that you will have a lot of high-stakes business conversations. So I think you are often expected to listen carefully to the clients, to the customer, and also process a lot of information and need to respond quickly, right? And still need to stay fully engaged with the person that in front of you. So from your experience, which part of that are the hardest to manage in real time?
Okay, I think for me the most difficult thing and the most challenging thing is multitasking because I am someone whose second language is English. So the most difficult thing for me is doing multiple tasks during speaking the second language. So for example, in my back-to-back daily important meetings, I have to listen to my customer or my colleague and understand the context, background, and also organize the best of the information in my mind. And then finally, I have to decide how to respond appropriately within just a few seconds. So that is my daily life. And furthermore, sort of working across the various countries like ASEAN in my territory, so that it increased the difficulty even more. Other differences in language, accent, or communication style affect how messages are received. So that if I miss even a single detail, So that I lose track of the whole picture. So that is, uh, maybe if the listener is a non-native English speaker, maybe they can understand what I am feeling.
Yeah, definitely. I mean, listening to the second languages and also to fully understand the context and also need to think on what need to respond, that is really a challenge for all of us. Yeah, yeah. So But like, you have spent like 13 years at Google and also in like earlier in Microsoft and now back in Microsoft. And also you are now working in a leadership role at Microsoft, like leading and also collaborating with teams across multiple countries and cultures in Asia. Well, with so many like conversations, meetings, and limited time probably to prepare for each one, each one meeting. So how important is the quality of those conversations to your work? And also, how do you stay prepared when every global meeting matters, but the time is like kind of limited?
Yeah, actually, the quality of what I say is more important than the perfect language skill. That is my experience. So for example, a large part of my job in involves the dialogue with the diversity, the customer and the partner across Asia, and the people of the difficult nationalities, culture, and language. And in addition, it increases the presentation on the stage and also the business trip to the many countries almost every week, and often a back-to-back important meeting. So now the convenience thing with the AI handles my preparation. That is a good thing. And also, thanks for my Copilot from Microsoft. That is a very great one. But if it's up to me to deliver everything AI has prepared in the correct order and without missing anything, so my concentrating on the conversation while looking at the bullet points on EvenG2 so that I can do it perfectly. So I also want to say thank you to EvenG2. So that made my life.
Yeah, thank you for introducing EvenG2 here. So for all those that who are listening to us, because our product is not a software, so it's harder for you guys to actually experience the demo directly from the website. So that's why we have the Q&A session and also Sato-san as one of our users, and also he's the leader in the customer success as well. So we are having this Q&A session just to clarify. So as Sato-san already introduced EvenG2, so my question is, how does EvenG2 make real-time conversation more efficient? As you probably mentioned about the language barrier and also preparation and also how I actually engage with the client in real time in person. So help us elaborate on some of the feelings and experiences you have with the EvenG too.
Yeah, I think that in short, it gives me very strong confidence. So with my back-to-back important meetings, it's impossible to keep all the information in my head. So I am not young anymore, so I cannot remember everything. But so I make direct points of what I want to convey. For example, I'm using the EvenG to the teleprompter or a quick list. That is a very convenient tool and also the feature for me. Also, previously I needed to glance at my laptop, smartphone, or my notebook in my hand. But now I can keep the necessary information in my vision without losing the track of the conversation. And also, so this is not only improve the efficiency of the conversation, but also allow for more professional behavior. So leading to increased confidence and composure in my So that is a very important thing.
Yeah, yeah, I think. And also, usually when we finish the meeting, definitely during the meeting is the most important one, right? That's decided on whether the clients or the vendors or your business partners that have confidence and also trust in you. But often after the meeting, we do need to have some recap and also to act faster. with some of the help. So do you think that, like, how do you turn the meetings into clear recaps and also act faster to actually chase the deal or chase the customer, some result on that part?
Yeah, I think actually that I might be using my EvenG too in a somewhat unique way. So now, so for example, for now, for everyone, the AI-generated meeting minutes is very common. So then probably everyone using the taking a note using the AI services. And also, of course, even these have the conversate. So that is the feature name. And also taking the just a note and taking the action item. So that EvenG also have that feature. But the general AI-generated meeting minutes is for everyone, so not for you, for everyone. But my case, so the—
I am—
so in my case, I am using the EvenG live translation feature. So because it creates the transcript not only translation but also the transcript. That is very important. So after the meeting, I just copy and paste a transcript from the G2, the live translation feature, and let AI create my own personal meeting minutes. Then both speed and quality will improve. So that is my way how I use my, uh, this AI smart Yeah, thank you for that.
And we are actually updating the feature, I think 2 months ago, about incorporating the translation into the conversation. So actually, because normally when I speak to like Korean or other, like I can't understand the languages, I definitely need the transcription, but also I need to understand what they're saying. So that's why we are also incorporating the translation into the conversational feature together. So we can— one thing is to understand each other. The second thing is that we can have the meeting minutes directly in your own languages and also the action items. Yeah, thank you for that clarification. Yeah, and also like from a customer's perspective, do you think what makes the salesperson feel more professional and trustworthy in the important conversation? That what behavior that or qualities that will help build the trust?
Yeah, I think the most important thing from my experience should be the hospitality, because I think the hospitality is very common in Japan, my home country. And but I believe the true salesmanship means listening to the customer's voice properly. So for example, so if we give the very comfortable environment to the customer. So for example, my territory, many customers doesn't speak English fluently. They have their own local language. And if I give them to speak their local language, but I can't, I just respond in English, then I think that my customer can comfortably communicate with me. So for example, the last month when I went to Indonesia, some executive, even, even if they are executive, they cannot speak English fluently. Then I gave them to speak in their own language, Bahasa Indonesia. Then I, but even, even in that conversation, I can easily join in on my on their private conversation in their local language using the live translation. And also the day after— the day before yesterday, I was in Bangkok. Then there are some technical stuff, some customer engineer cannot speak English, but they wanted to ask me the very detailed technical question. Then I just allow them to speak in Thai, but I can understand what they say, and then I can properly answer to them. So that is my daily life. But a very important thing that I can give the— I try to be very hospitable person to the customer. Then I try to give a comfortable environment to them. So that is my way.
Yeah, I think in summary that we need to make the conversation more in-depth, but we need to break the language barrier. And also by like letting them to speak in their own languages, that's one thing is they can express more clearly, and also they feel like confident and also trustworthy. And also that will help build the trust between you and the other one, right? Yeah, that's definitely really important. And also as we are discussing discussing on the trust, how do you feel about our glasses without the camera? Because right now a lot of the smart glasses out there, they all have cameras to help capture and also probably they are for the entertainment purpose, right? So how do you feel about we do not have the camera?
Yeah, I think before purchasing the AI smart glasses, of course I explored almost every AI smart glasses in the market. Then finally I decided the EVO D2 because this doesn't have the camera. So that is my reason because I think from my experience, the psychological safety is one of the very important topics.
Yeah.
Also, for me, I am traveling a lot to the abroad, then not only psychological safety, the lightweight is very important. I think that this one It should be less than 40 grams, I think around 35 or 36.
36.
And also, yeah, this one has a very long battery life. I think once I charge, I can use it for 2 days. And also, if I bring my case, I can use this one for more than 10 days without additional charge. So that is very important. Then I think I have a couple of the reasons to why I choose, but One of the reasons is without camera.
Yeah, yeah. I think for the new category development that we definitely need to focus, as the conversation is the same, that we need to focus. So that's why we do not, like by design, we do not need to have the camera because we need to have a lot of discussion, have a lot of time in the office indoor. So that's where like by default we do not want the camera with us. And also for the sales, that ultimately that comes down to the quality, as you mentioned, of the conversation, right? So for From your experience, what makes a customer conversation truly effective? And also, how do you see that even G2 helps sales professionals, including you, to improve the conversation, whether it's before, during, or after the conversation or the meeting?
Yeah, I think that I already answered in the previous topic. I will recap what I am thinking. The first one is that I can talk about everything that needs to be said in the correct tone. That is one important thing. Second one, that I can pick up on every word the other person or other colleague or customer says. I can overcome language barrier. That is the second one. Then instead of the generic meeting minutes created by AI, I can leave my own personalized action item and records using the G2. That is the third one.
Looking ahead is a more open question. Looking ahead, and also you experience a lot of— try a lot of the glasses and also you are the expert in the software AI thing. Looking ahead, what role do you think the wearable AI, not exactly the glasses but also other wearable AI, that will play in the future in the life of the sales? Also, if If you could design the ideal wearable AI for the sales professional, including you, what would you need to genuinely make them better at their job?
Yeah, I imagine a lot of things, but one of my answers should be situational conversation assistant. So that is a future wearable AI. So for example, the basic action of the salespeople, listening, understanding, and proposing. So that is a very basic action. But the problem is the salesperson is very busy, and also that they need to learn a lot of things in the short term. And also that every day, every time the company tries to produce a new feature, new function, new product, then they should be very busy.
Yeah.
And also, it is very difficult to see the true nature of the customer's problem or customer's voice. Yeah, so that is the current situation. But if the future wearable AI help them, so that, for example, the listen together between the AI and salesperson from the customer voice, and also that understand together AI and salesperson, and then AI present a draft proposal or draft Draft answer, and then the human make a proposal or answer to the customer's question. But if the human, the salesperson, didn't tell everything, so for example, something missing, then the AI indicate on the glass or wearable device the missing portion, something A, something B. Then the human notice and then the human explain what they were missing. That is a situational conversation. Also, even if the salesperson doesn't remember everything, the AI can support them following the customer's conversation.
Yeah, totally. I think a lot of the things that the explanation, the suggestions, the fact-checking, and also how I engage or what I'm missing, definitely, AI, I mean, right now the foundation model have a lot of that capabilities, but we definitely need an interface that can show surface in line of sight during the conversation to actually help us in the real time. And also we are trying, and also we are inviting a lot of the people here that if you are having your own vertical sales agent, that definitely we can work together because different sales have different background, different context, different memory system. So we can actually integrate together to help the salespeople really perform better in their, um, like work. And also, it's also open question. It's not only the last 2. So, um, like, um, feel free to speak out that what's your favorite, um, or your favorite benefits or the feature that DaVinci 2 attracts you. It can be the design or, um, feature or the software or the ecosystem.
Uh, okay. I think that I want to introduce a lot of my use case scenario. But so for example, the one is the live translation, definitely, because I have a lot of diverse customers. So someone speaks only Thai, someone speaks Vietnamese only, someone speaks Tagalog, someone speaks Bahasa Indonesia. Then the multi-language support is very important. And also that I have a lot of opportunity to step in the calibration session for my team members' performance. So the annual performance review is one of the important things. And also that as a manager, as a— that is a very great opportunity to propose my team members' promotion. Then if I miss something during the conversation, I think both most likely 5 minutes per person, then the 5 minutes is very important, but if I cannot cover everything in my 5 minutes, then I might lose the opportunity to make my team members promotion. Then I think not only live translation, but also the teleprompter or quick list, the memo function is very important.
Yes.
Another job is I have a lot of opportunity to speak in front of many people. At the large event, then the teleprompter is one of the very important things. And also the last one is enhancement. So that I am using the Codex to develop my own G2 application. So that, for example, when I developed the multi-language sentiment analytics application, G2— so that this graph just captures the custom, uh, the people's voice. Then the all people, the recorded people's voice is sending to the Crowd Sentimental Analytics API. Then the API analyzes and responds back to my Grasshopper. Then I can understand what is the emotion of the person and also how I handle the situation, what should be the right answer to them. So they're in a very quick time. So that is, uh, so when I introduce my application to my friend, they say that this is a lie detector. So definitely that is not a lie. Yeah, but this kind of the enhancement is another way to use AI smart course, uh, on your daily life. So that is the third one. But I have a lot of things, but those 3, live translation, teleprompter, and also the enhancement, the development is my use case.
I think I can answer for you for the last question. Definitely for the more language support in terms of the translation, that is one thing. Second thing probably is the more capabilities that we can offer to our users in the Event Hub, which is the Open Platform Developer Kit, that we can offer more capabilities. You can actually integrate a lot of your agents, like building your laptop or in your other workflow that integrate with the, the inter— in the, the display in the glasses so that works seamlessly between your workflow and also the real-time conversation, right? And anything add on?
Yes, I think that, that's it. Thank you.
Yeah, okay. Thank you so much, Sato-san. So yeah, so we, we do have a few minutes left, so if anyone, um, want to Q&A, we can definitely do that right now, or Yes, Tripp is asking, it opens up all the guardrails around how information is gathered and being used.
Tripp Braden says, we had a deal with this issue around smart glasses, including how confidential financial information is stored and reviewed.
Yeah.
So how do you handle that issue?
Yeah, we actually letting our users to decide where your data is stored. So you can decide that it's only in your own device, your own, in your own phone, that is stored locally. That is what you can choose. Or you can choose that you can store the information or the contest prep notes or the transcription in the cloud. That's the second choice. And also we are launching our enterprise SDK soon. So with the enterprise SDK, definitely the firm will have the control on all the data. So they do not need to pass whatever else. They're only using their own customer insights and also a lot of the information from your Salesforce, from your CRM. They are pulling that. And also the glasses only as a display, voice in, display out interface. So actually, we not only as a normal user, but also as an enterprise user that you can actually decide what type of the privacy, what type of infrastructure that you want to use or implement.
Yoshiki, I have a question for you. How do you use the ring while you're having a conversation?
Ring?
A ring? R1, yes.
Yeah, yeah, ring. Definitely. So when I am using the ring, I don't need to touch my smart glass. I just focus on the customer's conversation. Then I just silently move my application on my Glass.
I got it. Jeff is asking, what is the firewall between the company and the customer to ensure only the customer has the data?
Yeah, you can choose to store all the data in your local phone. Whether it's iPhone or Samsung or Like Google Pixel, you can choose to store the data in your local device.
Right.
Yes.
Yoshiki, how long did it take you to learn the classes, learn how to use the software so it became really useful for you? And was there any pushback?
Okay, I think that now I am using this class maybe 3 months or 4 months. And then, yeah, when I purchased this one, I quickly realized that this is very useful for my— especially for my daily work. And also the— yeah, no, no preparation time for me. I just start using because the live translation is one of the reasons to choose the Even D2, then I think the default feature provides live translation in my multiple language environment.
And you wear the glasses all day?
I think, yeah, almost. But so for example, when I am in Singapore and also when I am in Malaysia, they speak English, then I don't use. But Indonesia, Thai, Vietnam, definitely yes. And also, I'm asking Li so that please support Tagalog in Philippines.
Yes, yes.
Li, help me understand, how do the glasses get charged? What is the mechanism? Is it the glass case?
Yeah, we actually have a case. First of all, the normal use of the glasses will last 2 days, so we normally do not worry about the battery life. And also, we have a case like you may see that.
Oh yeah.
You can take away on a business trip. It has a USB-C here, but the case itself has a battery down here. So normally when I like take off my glasses and also put them inside of here, so it will be charging.
Oh yeah, yeah.
So it's quite easy. You can put that on your nightstand. You can have the glasses like when you get into bed and take off your glasses, it will be charging directly.
That's awesome.
Yeah, it's quite easy. Yeah, as Sendu-san says, the cases can charge the glasses for around 6 to 7 times. So if you are on a trip that's normally half a month or nearly a month, that you do not need to charge the case. I mean, the glasses is like fully prepared for you.
So the case has enough charge for 24 hours?
Yeah, yes, yes. No, no, no, no, no, no. Um, um, the case can charge the glasses, um, 7 times. So each time it takes— yeah, 7 times. Yeah, so each, each charging— yeah, sorry.
So for your trip to, um, uh, Germany, you, you didn't bring a charger?
I didn't charge yet, right? Yeah.
That's awesome. Well, we are out of time, but Yoshiki, arigato gozaimashita. That was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your insights. And Lee, dankeschön.
Thank you.
Enjoy Berlin. I know you're a little bit stressed by all your travels and all your presentations. So have a wonderful trip back home.
Thank you. Thank you. And also thank you, Sato-san. It's our first time actually.
So yes, this is the live demo.
It's a live show. Yeah, it's a live show.
Exactly. Yeah.
Yeah, it's quite useful. I'm using that in Germany. I cannot understand German and also a lot of the— they are speaking German, so, but at least I understand.
So if only the glasses could improve the food that you're served in Germany.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Thank you so much, Yoshiki and Lane.
Thank you.
Great presentation. Bye-bye.
