In this concise YouTube short, Derek Cole outlines three key indicators that an HVAC system requires professional servicing. First, he stresses that if more than six months have passed since the last service, the unit should be inspected, as HVAC systems need bi‑annual maintenance to stay efficient. Second, he warns that a strange or “funny” smell emanating from the vents signals a potential problem that warrants a technician’s attention. Third, he notes that slower heating or cooling performance—whether due to low refrigerant, a faulty fan, or other issues—means the system should be checked promptly. Throughout, Cole adopts an urgent, persuasive tone, urging viewers to schedule service immediately to avoid escalating problems.
