In this segment of the HVAC Monday meeting, Derek Cole addresses common customer objections regarding warranty coverage, diagnostic fees, and the value of protection plans. He uses a real example (customer Justin) to illustrate how club membership can eliminate diagnostic fees and ensure claim approval through documented maintenance. Derek advocates for UV coil scrubbers and regular maintenance over sporadic cleanings, explains recent pricing changes, and clarifies what repairs are covered under TDRS, clothing, and UV light protection. The overall message emphasizes a simple choice between being protected or not, encouraging customers to adopt comprehensive protection for their homes.

Due system, protected, not protected. Simple as that, right? Justin's a guy that had the 2-year-old, 3-year-old unit the other week under warranty. Didn't want to pay for any repairs. Didn't have to pay for any repairs. Complained about the diagnostic fee. Oh yeah, every time you guys come out, you charge me a fee. Is there a way for us to come out and not charge you a fee? There is. He's not a club member. So what did I talk to him about? There's a way to prevent this, man. There's a way to prevent the fee every time, and there's a way for the insurance, the team parts labor, to never deny your claim because it's a fill port, because of a dirt-related— because we got records of us doing a maintenance on it, right? So if that's true of your problem, here's your answer. Is it okay? There's your protection plan. He did it right. So I can do is, is explain it. It's your decision. If you want to complain about the nausea, complain about this, there's a way to prevent that. Here it is. How bad do you not like it? Protected, not protected. Protected, not protected. What do you want to do? There's no greater time to get a UV coil scrubber than right now, right? Pimax announced a price increase. I sent it on the feed. Pricing went down if that's the biggest worry. And again, they're like, it's a brand new system, I shouldn't need any of that. And I'm like, yeah, but, and, but again, they just kept going back to that Brand new system, uncovered 10 years, brand new system. Are— is the protection or non-protection real? Yes. With their— what's in your unit, what's growing in their unit? Yeah. Repairs, are they protected or not protected with TDRS? They're protected. Are they protected or not protected with the clothing? They're protected. Are they protected or not protected with the UV light? The whole house is protected. Yes. So same concept, right? You got an option to protect your home and your family versus not being protected. It's a simple yes or no. You want to do it, you don't want to do it. Putting the UV light in the core, bringing dirt, debris— that'd be more efficient. There's a difference in, in you cleaning that unit twice a year versus the coal scrubber cleaning that coal every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have you here, yes, but I can't be here 24/7. You would like to be here 24/7, right? Yeah, my bodyguard can be in the filter 24/7.
