Short YouTube safety/advice clip by Derek Cole titled "Dryer sheets in your vents…" (uploaded 2023-11-21). A single speaker (SPEAKER A) warns viewers not to put dryer sheets in air vents because they are flammable and could ignite from a spark; instead recommends locating and addressing the source of household odors and using dryer sheets only in the dryer.
What are you doing? Dryer sheets are not made to go in the air vents. They're made to go in the dryer. There's nothing on the label that says put me in the air vents. It's not made to be there. And it's dangerous because they're flammable. A spark or anything hits that dryer sheet, it's like kindling. It's going to light up. You don't want that to happen in your home. I know they smell good. I know you could have the house smelling good. But what is causing the smell to happen in your home that you need dryer sheets in your air vents. Find out what smell is, attack it at the source and leave the dryer sheets in the dryer.
