Now, when Jesus Christ died on the cross, that was a judgment. God judged Christ in your place. And Jesus, being who he was, had the capacity to endure hell for you. And when Christ said, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? In that terrible moment, in a way that we cannot possibly fathom or understand, the Lord Jesus Christ and his Father were separated. And Jesus took the pangs of hell. And he suffered in that moment, everything that man will ever be called upon to suffer. He did it for you because he loves you. And now God says, you must repent of your sins and receive him into your heart. And if you don't do it, and you persist in listening to the voice of the devil, who says you have plenty of time, or who tells you that it's not true, or whatever he's whispering to you.
