How do I know my HVAC system is broken? If the air coming out is not as cool as it usually is, or it takes a long time to drop the temperature, uh, than you're used to, might be a problem. Uh, if your system obviously is not coming on, that is a problem. Uh, if your energy bills keep on going this way, going up And it's not because of rate hikes, it's because your HVAC system is having a problem. So whenever something feels off, smells off, uh, temperature's off than what you're used to, you need to have a professional come and look at your system to see what's going on with it. Because it's kind of like a, a mom and her, her baby, you know. Most moms have that gut feeling if something is wrong with their child. Well, you know, that same gut feeling you can have with your system. If you come home and it feels a little different, it feels a little weird, temperature's a little higher than usual, things aren't making sense, you have a— you have an idea something is wrong. So when you have that idea, go ahead, call a professional, get an appointment, get them over Look, I know no one's saving for HVAC, okay? It is what I like to call a grudge purchase. You know, it has to be done, it needs to be done. You know, no one's putting this money every month away for HVAC breakdown. It's not happening. It's like a light switch, you know, you turn the light on, it works. One day you go to turn it on and it doesn't work. Well, you don't think about it until it doesn't work. So if you haven't done any kind of preventative maintenance, that's going to be a challenge. You should get that done. But again, if you feel something's off, something is different, then you need to have it checked out.
