Inside The Comfort Experts | 01

Derrick Cole and his HVAC crew work through a service job: brazing 3/8-inch pipe joints, installing a 150 CFM fan with the right hose diameter, and safely disconnecting a 15-volt line from a chiller via a 50-amp breaker. They also sort through invoices, inventory, and which warehouse to close.

This could be a problem though, cuz I guarantee you're going to move on this thing. It cut off part of your head, might need to buff it up. Everybody got their torches in here, right? Everybody got to sort them. Um, so what we're going to do is, who wants to be the first one to volunteer to start? You can pick your joints. This is the jump on the day, right? When you pick your joints you want to braise on the 3/8, just braise both sides of the joint, okay? Whether it's the elbow or the coupling. Hey, this is Derrick Cole. Welcome to episode 68 of the Ask Derrick Cole Show. We need to look at that ductwork and see, is that what we got there? Cuz I don't know, like you said, I don't know if it's got to come down cuz ain't no runs that goes all the way out to that wall, so they got to hook up to that ductwork somewhere out there. Yeah, let's hope so. Yeah, we get that fan put in. We need to open that box to make sure cuz I don't— that's 150 CFM fan. I don't know if it's got a 4-inch hose on it or we going to have to do a 5 or 6-inch. It's 150 CFM fan. Need to open that box and work there, so that'll go into that. So, uh, Peggy has some other invoices or service tickets and all go on the one in— so she— okay. Don't worry about it though. Remember the post office boxes? You don't see them no more, do you? What are you talking about? Like the blue boxes used to sit out. Yeah, they're still all over downtown right there. Are they? Oh, you mean where you drop them? Yeah, yeah, you don't see them like you used to, but yeah, they used to be on them. I think they used to have them every 10 blocks is what it was. Yeah, I remember you said— Yeah, and well, you know the biggest reason they had them out there for? You could drop mail in them, but The mailman walked and this is where they dropped his mail. He couldn't carry his whole route at one time. I seen him open it up and pick it up. He would open it up and that's where he'd pick his mail up for the next few blocks. So, you know, they had to do that and they said, well, might as well let people drop mail on top, we just won't let them in the bottom of it. Right. All we really need to do, if we can figure out where the power source is, is break it from the power source. 'Cause we got it to the contacts in that chiller. But it's breaking a hot, breaking a 15-volt hot. Leave that first invoice and then go on from now on with this. We should work. Okay, should be working out. But the problem was she couldn't transfer anything to her truck because there wasn't anything transferred, right? So when we count inventory next time, yeah. We dismiss warehouse 2, which would be that one, or 1, whatever the number is. The utility load too, which is— then they come from the 50-amp breaker at the main panel to that. So it's the same as normal as it from being fed from the, from the street. So all you got to do is kill power at the main breaker, 50-amp breaker inside the house. Now Why so angry? What the crap? Serious, I thought you were talking to her. Subscribe.
