In this episode of "Inside The Comfort Experts," host Derek Cole leads an impromptu field segment titled "Ask Derrick Cole." The crew moves to a nearby junk pile to examine discarded items and discuss their relevance. The segment blends informal, lyrical banter from several participants (Speakers B, C, D, and E) with a narrative about a lost knife that was recovered via a Facebook post. Derek points out a bullwhip and various pieces of HVAC equipment strewn among the debris, using the setting to illustrate how components such as indoor and outdoor coils, a heat exchanger, a blower wheel, capacitors, and a spider (mounting bracket) function together and why they must operate efficiently. The dialogue alternates between motivational, almost rap‑style verses about being legendary and the practical, hands‑on explanation of HVAC parts, providing viewers with both entertainment and a brief technical overview of system components found in a junk environment.

We just filmed the Ask Derrick Cole, and the girls wanted to see a real situation, so we're gonna go outside to the junk pile and see what lives in there.
Been looking for the answer ever since we were 17. You know, the truth can be a weapon to fight this world of ill intentions. A new answer to the same question. How many times will you learn the same lesson? I think they got it all wrong. We just got old on and on and on and on.
Cause we're gonna be legends, gonna get their attention.
What we're doing here ain't just scary, it's about to be legendary.
Yeah, we're gonna be legends, gonna teach 'em a lesson.
Got this feeling in our souls we carry, and it's about to be legendary. This is what we came for. And we couldn't want it anymore. We could never turn back now. Got to leave it all on the floor. Been dreaming of the payoff through the struggles and the trade-offs. Biting tooth and nail on the way up. Tell them the truth, but they think it's just made up. I think they got it all wrong. We just gotta hold on.
Eventually they're gonna know who's right. To make a stand, you got to win the fight. Can't stand to eat in just the apple pie, or you might never make it out alive. You gotta live without a compromise. Let everybody hear your battle cry. Straight away. You know, if I let go, or if we just pull them really hard and really fast.
Vanessa and, um, the other guy was in— a guy was in there and they had spilled theirs. They're wiping up coffee.
It's an amazing story for your video. William Skipper lost this knife. Mark Ward found it on the side of the road and happened to take a picture, put it on Facebook. Like, look what I found. And William saw it and said, that's my knife because I got my fire number on it.
There's a bullwhip sitting here. See all that stuff in there? See all that dirt? Can you see it with the camera?
Um, not sure.
See it like this? Is that better?
No, if you wouldn't move, I'd—
Sorry. Yeah, see all that dirt on there?
I hope so. I mean, I'm zooming in.
Yeah, you can see it.
See, all that makes motor Blower wheel. All this has to work harder. There you go. So that's the indoor coil. This would be the outdoor coil on the package unit. Heat exchanger is right behind here. Another capacitor and a spider.
Yum, spider in there. That's the right one. The 1927 is the right one. I'm not gonna need to build it up ever again. Yeah, I'll show you which one you can delete. Not this one. This one, 1901. That's the wrong one. That's the old one. Okay, great.
