Derek Cole walks through winter prep for heat pumps after a hot summer. Check and change your air filter, then inspect and clean the system to boost efficiency and cut heating costs.
When we do get into the colder temperatures and stuff like that, what are some simple things, some simple tips that you can share with folks to help them make their system more efficient and more cost effective?
First of all, the filter. It all starts with the filter in the house. Check the filter, change the filter. So heat pumps, you know, they operate heating and cooling. So after a long, hot summer like we had, we need to get things cleaned up, checked out for heating. So to make sure you're good to go, because it's been a long, hot summer.
