Short instructional excerpt from a YouTube video (Derek Cole) explaining that home comfort depends on three interacting elements: the HVAC unit, the house (building envelope), and the duct system. The speaker emphasizes that if any one of these three systems is faulty, occupants will be uncomfortable.
Three factors for every home all the time, you got three aspects to every situation. When you go to a house, you got the unit, you got the house, you have the duct system. If one of one of the three are off, you're not going to be comfortable. If there's a problem at the house holding heat in, you're not going to be comfortable. If there's a problem with the duct system getting the air to where it needs to go, you're not going to be comfortable. If there's a problem with that unit not operating correctly, you're not going to be comfortable.
