Derek Cole updates on his MS flare-up since Saturday and shares why he's heading to an in-person networking meeting in Pinehurst. He says handshakes and one-on-one conversations generate referrals that online platforms alone don't, with recent sessions producing business each time.
Good morning, good Tuesday morning. Headed to Pinehurst. My MS has been flaring up the last couple days since Saturday, and a lot of people praying for me, and thank you for that. And still pushing through it, and hopefully it's just a flare-up, it's not a permanent, a permanent part of my life, so Hopefully it's a flare-up. But anyway, we gotta keep pushing and go through and head to Pinehurst.
Oh, I am forevermore. I'll be what you want to believe. I know it's too late for me to change your mind. I'll let go, let you decide what you want to believe. Oh God, what you want to believe. Here's the first meeting today in Pinehurst. I don't think I've ever talked about this, but for as much as I, I love online— Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat— this is a face-to-face networking group. We meet every single week here in Pinehurst. I'm also a big believer in shaking hands, meeting people, and building those relationships not only on those platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, but also building relationships personally, one-on-one, face-to-face. So for all my technology beliefs, I do believe you need to get away from your computer and actually meet people in biz dev That way. Okay, done with that. Back to Lornberg. Back at the office. Already dealing with all the stuff, so as usual. But I wanted to say something else about this networking. The last few weeks, pretty much every time I go, we get some kind of referral or business. So again, I'm a big believer in social media and everything I always talk about, but I'm also a believer in hand-to-hand combat, face-to-face interactions, networking. So I just want to say that one more time. And also, the MS flare-up is still going on. I'll keep you updated on that. Hopefully it's not a permanent thing, but whatever it is, we're gonna, we're gonna praise God and, and, and keep fighting, keep going. But Have a good one. I'll see you later.
