Derek Cole delivers an evangelical sermon about finding assurance in Christ's cross. He traces his own journey from doubt to confident faith and draws on the apostle Paul's example of trusting solely in Christ for salvation.
When I come to the gate of heaven. And if they have a password, I'm going to say only to the cross. I claim I have no other hope of heaven except by his cross. I believe it with all my heart tonight. And I don't have a single doubt about it. You say that's impossible. When I first started out, I had a lot of doubts because my faith was so weak. But I have no doubts. I can say with Paul tonight. I know in whom I have believed. And am persuaded that he's able to keep that which I've committed unto him against that day.
