A short YouTube clip (by Derek Cole) warning that HVAC systems can harbor biological growth in their damp, dark components, potentially making occupants sick. The speaker urges viewers to get a professional inspection and invites viewers to share stories about growth on vents in the comments.
The crazy thing about heating air is that all the air in your home at some point comes to that system. So if your system is making you sick, you could have some growth going on. You need to get it checked out by a professional because the unit is in a damp, dark, cold environment. And what happens when you have that? You have growth, things start happening, things you don't want to happen. So get a professional to come out and take a look at your system and see what's happening. Have you ever had stuff growing on your vent? You weren't sure what it was? Leave your story in the comment below.
