Today I want to talk to you about home not getting to 74 degrees. Typically, the system can only do 20 degrees difference than what the heat is outside. When the sun goes down, it is going to do it a lot faster than when the sun is on the home. If your unit is not getting this 74, and it's only because when you come home, you set your thermostat from 78 to 74 and you're worried about not changing over that fast, that that's normal. When the sun goes down and it's nighttime, it's bedtime and now the thermostat is not coming down, you could have a challenge. Something could be going on with that system and a professional needs to check it out, see what's going on. I would recommend maintenance twice a year, every time. But if you're having that challenge at nighttime, you need to check it out because now we have a whole other issue going on. Because the units you should be able to maintain or bring that temperature down when it's dark.
