Derek Cole raps about confidence, then explains why advertising needs to follow viewers from broadcast TV to on-demand platforms like Netflix and Spotify. He uses a failing capacitor analogy to show how one broken part stops everything, and mentions he's 95% recovered from multiple sclerosis.
Stunt like Van Wilder, living life during college. Carolina kid got game, go ahead and call me Wallace. They never would've known that kid had balls, I got all that knowledge. Never gonna give up on the game, I know that nothing's broke. Yeah, you heard the tape and you bumpin' it. I got the game and I'ma roll with it. Like AP, but I ain't fumbling. These other rappers be malfunctioning and ain't knowin' their name. Hearing the flow when they goin' insane. Lookin' for more when I tell 'em it's comin'. They tellin' they friends, I've been tellin' the world, I'ma tell it again. You lazy, my pen game crazy. I'm stealin' the game like Navy.
Hey, what's up guys? Uh, yesterday I shot a few videos. Uh, one was Ask Derek Cole and the other one was really for my business, uh, contacts. I email every now and then with, uh, with the rents and, and things to look at. But, uh, it's really about, you know, waking up to the current state of Advertising, you know, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify. Anyway, we're gonna put a piece of that rant in this vlog, but MS is good. You know, almost 95% recovered from the relapse, so that's great news. Thank you again for the prayers and enjoy the few shots you got. The vlog.
Can you see? Capacitor is not having that motor start. If you think about spinning a ball on your finger, you know, a basketball, uh, the basketball would be the motor and your hand would be the capacitor. So for the motor to keep spinning, you need the capacitor. So once that capacitor has failed The ball falls, the motor doesn't run. You get that humming noise where it's trying to start, wants to start. It might even get hot, but it can't do it because the capacitor is not allowing it to do it.
It ain't easy when money is low and videos got fancy cars. I got some family at NASA, they put me in stars. So why mama make a ship and send it off with no one's help? Yeah, it's a long path, but you know it gonna last when you made it all by yourself.
It doesn't need to be spent in television advertising on ABC because Carolina over here is not watching ABC and the Housewives or whatever when it comes on. She's watching it on her DVR, or she's watching it on Netflix or Hulu. That's where her attention is, right? She's not watching it when it airs. She watches it on her time. So we need to be thinking about those avenues for advertising.
