In this short podcast episode, hosts Derek Cole and William Skipper discuss practical ways to save electricity at home and in the office, emphasizing that reduced energy use translates to cost savings. They identify common wasteful habits such as leaving lights on in unoccupied rooms and keeping computers, TVs, or other electronics running when not in use. The hosts explain the concept of "phantom loads"—the electricity drawn by plugged‑in chargers and appliances even when they’re not actively being used—and advise listeners to unplug these devices. Throughout the conversation, the tone remains conversational and light‑hearted, with occasional jokes. The episode concludes with a promotional plug for The Comfort Experts’ heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning services, directing listeners to the website 1houraircarolinas.com for more tips and service information.
