The Comfort Experts - Zoning Your System

Derek Cole and William Skipper explain HVAC zoning: adding thermostats and motorized dampers to control airflow to specific rooms. It solves uneven heating and cooling, and lets empty-nesters heat or cool only the parts of the house they actually use.

Hey, this is Derrick oh, alone with Williams Skipper. And thank you for watching the Comfort Experts. And today we're going to ask you to get into the zone. And it's probably something you've never heard of before, but zoning your heating and air equipment because you zone your plumbing, you zone your electrical. So we're asking you to zone your H Vac. So William, you've done a lot of these over the years. How important is zoning?
Zoning is. It can be very important to a customer. It can solve a lot of issues in the home that the customer has been having with their H Vac over the years. You get a lot of complaints of I've got one or two rooms that are not as cool as the rest or one or two rooms that won't heat like the rest of them will. Zoning can fix this issue. We can actually take a thermostat and put it in that room or put it in another, add a damper or two and we can guarantee comfort in those rooms.
Yeah, because you have a lot of empty nesters. I mean, the kids are gone. I, I got a big house and me and my wife, we only stay in the living room and the bedroom. I don't need to heat and cool the whole house. And zoning solves that problem.
That's right. With zoning, you only heat what you want. I go to this thermostat. I want this one set at 70. I want it set at 80. It doesn't need air. It doesn't. It's not going to get it. It's only going to get to the point to where. Where you want. Yeah. So check us out for more information.
