Hey guys, Derek Cole here. The main problem we see in these seasons is dirt. Maybe this? Yeah.

You know that I'm trying, I can't even hide it, I can't even hide it. You know that I'm flying, you know that I'm trying, I can't even hide it.

At my first meeting this morning in Pinehurst, um, kind of something I want to get out of the way or get on get on film for sure is that, you know, I'm thinking about what's holding people back and why they're not doing the things that they, they know they want to do and they can do. And it's because I think, uh, it's mainly because they're scared of what people think. They're scared of what people think, and they're scared of being made fun of, and they're worried about what the wife says. What the husband says, what the dad or mom say, if they're not doing it. You know, with the Ask Derrick Cole Show, 2 years ago, like I said in episode 18, it was, you know, when I went to a conference, it was almost a joke about people making fun of this how-to show. They were actually doing it. So it was, it was People tell me to my face, "Hey, it's a good idea," and then behind my back saying, "You know, what is he doing?" It's kind of a joke. No one wants to see that about heating and air. And then the last meeting last month, you go in front of people and they say, "Man, it's a great success. I see what you're doing. I love what you're doing. I wish we could do it. How are you doing it?" It's amazing the shift within a couple years. And if I listened to what people thought about it before I did it, it would have never happened because, uh, it's stupid, no one wants to see it, uh, it's a waste of time, no one's watching these little videos, it makes no sense, what are you doing? If I sat there and listened to it, then it would never get done. And it's kind of the same way with this vlog episode I think it's the 26th. Yeah, 26th. You know, same things being said about this. You know, what are you doing? It's a waste of time. It's stupid. No one wants to see you going to meetings or talking to a camera about what's going on in your life. Again, if I listened to them, it would never happen. And we get, you know, 10 to 80 people watching an episode. So I mean, it's kind of about depth, not width. But you know, it's not 100 or 1,000 people watching it every single time. And it's episode 26. Is that going to stop me? No, I'm going to keep going. And those that want to see it will watch. Those that are curious will watch. And we'll see where we are, because the one way to lose every time is to not do it, not execute, just sitting there thinking about it. Hey, I had that idea for Facebook before Facebook. Well, we all did, but Zuckerberg actually executed against it, so he won. And that's really the point, you know. If you care about what people are saying, you're never going to start. And the problem with most people is they're not starting because they're scared. They want to hold the camera. They don't want to do this. I got to have this perfect. Gotta have this. I gotta do— no, you don't have to be perfect. Just take the camera, take the phone like this, hold it to you, start telling the world what's going on, and people will listen.
